The most horrifying and terrorific story this halloween is knowing that around 5000 jobs have been axed in the gaming industry this year.

Most of these (If not all of em) massive lay offs are the result of the idiotically short sighted decisions taken by CEOs and executives who live permanently in echo chambers.

The people at the top of studio devs are so alienated from reality they don't remember that you can't put all your eggs in one basket, much less in one that's just made of idiocy (NFTs, Crypto, Metaverse, cash grabs, etc.)

Said CEO's and executives won't see any consequence for their dumb decisions that have left tons of people unemployed, but they don't care because these CEOs and execs will be receiving fat millionaire bonuses at the end of the year. It may be a wild dream but if CEOs and Executives were the ones putting the companies in disastrous financial woes because of their poor judgment then THEY are the ones that should be fired.
