8 Years of Hormone Replacement Therapy

65 pounds lost / GRS / BA

From having a horrible incongruence between mind, body, and soul while doing my best to live as something I never was... to conquering my fears and finally being the woman I have always been only now outside as well as in. Zero post-op regrets! I will never let a politician, theocrat, or anyone tell me who I am or how to live my life. I am Ariana. My life is my own and you too can conquer yours at any age!

For those who disapprove or don't understand:

When you view the cover image do you see me as "really" the person on left? I can assure you I have always "really" been the person on the right. It is important to view transgender people as having a hormonal imbalance from before they even leave the womb. That is what set my body on the wrong path from the start. The incongruence between body, mind, and soul takes time to understand, but it is very real and very persistent. Hormone therapy corrects much of that and brings out what was always underneath before any surgeries even take place or are needed. The science has caught up in understanding us, but the politics lag behind because of hate and intolerance.

We are not an "ideology," we are people. We are not confused. Doctors who treat us based on science are not confused. You are confused. Confused and whipped into a frenzy by those who hate. I ask you to vote out those who hate me for existing and stand with me against those who terrorize and intimidate. Please.

Meanwhile, I will go on living happily and taking life by the horns. I do not like putting out images of the body I was forced to occupy in the past. I post this video for others like me, because it is extremely important and life saving for them to see examples of people who have persevered through this, especially when transitioning later in life. The struggle of dealing with this around unaccepting people is hard enough without your government trying legislate against your existence. We can all live happily in this world, it just takes kindness and patience of understanding to prevail against hate. It is not a lifestyle choice, it is a life being fully realized.
