I once heard the beginning of this song, I think it was by Beyonce? Anyways, it went "I want to wear her skin" and I know that Izuku had that thought just once after seeing Bakugou getting along with Kirishima near the beginning.

It’s been a while, but I’m doing a fic rec! I just read this amazing fic by brainrotprofessional called possessive poison.

If you don’t know, I ADORE super possessive and jealous Izuku, and this fic is just that. It’s a cute quirk shenanigans fic where Izuku is hit with a quirk that draws out his possessive tendencies. Remember during training camp arc? Izuku yelling “Give him back?” Yeah he’s like that all the time. And he and Katsuki aren’t even together yet.

There’s all the funny moments where Izuku goes murder-eyes on his classmates for literally being near his Kacchan, a cute getting together scene, and it also goes into their relationship reveal to 1-A. Overall a super cute, fantastic fic if you love tall, possessive Deku.

in this post, i analysed izuku’s possessive traits. then someone re blogged mentioning katsuki’s reaction and i had to get to writing!

now one might feel implored to ask: how does katsuki react? and this is a valid question. what does katsuki think of izuku's possessive freak?

ive said many a time that UA is a catalyst for DKBK—more so izuku than katsuki. izuku is literally reborn with his quirk and is developing it at 15 while everyone else was like 6. izuku realises the world sucks, blah blah. only when izuku deteriorates do we begin to see the cracks—hence the possessive tendencies. katsuki is just like us readers; he watches izuku scream after him and lose his mind.

at first, i definitely think katsuki must have been indignant. he didn't want his "opposition" (take this lightly) to care for him. but it wasn't personal—it was katsuki's insecurities. to be cared for meant being vulnerable, and that's why the kidnapping really changes him; hurts his ego.

now after this point, the scales shift, i think. izuku manages ofa way better than before, and katsuki has emotionally matured. izuku naturally becomes more protective after what happens, of course, while katsuki? katsuki thinks this is just casual izuku. because izuku thinks he's subtle, but everyone around them knows it's something deeper... ochako clocks him straight away. katsuki, having known izuku for so long, doesn't bat an eyelash—especially after a significant period—because that's how their dynamic has been.

izuku chased after him, "protected" him, while katsuki chased after izuku; "berated" him. i see it as an exchange of physical/cognitive abilities and understanding.

katsuki was obviously dead when izuku Lost His Shit. but post-war the message is clearer—even after the Blackwhip incident—that izuku's body needs two vital things: oxygen and katsuki. katsuki KNOWS. he tells izuku to cease holding back. and katsuki matures so much that he isn't a prick anymore. beyond that, he understands izuku and knows that possession is his inherent, deeply ingrained love language (even if, from the outside, it makes nooo fucking sense and looks crazy lol)

because DKBK understand each other despite their feuds. dare i say they are soulmates. so no matter what izuku does and vice versa, one way or another they figure each other out. and katsuki may secretly enjoy izuku's freakiness... who knows

I don't think Katsuki gets possessive over Izuku. It's one of those situations where he's absolutely sure that his partner "Knows where home is". He doesn't need to worry because Izuku doesn't really have any end goal apart from him. He could have the sexiest person in the world in front of him and think only about how Katsuki would react or measure up, or something. His head is empty, just Kacchan, Kacchan, Kacchan

Izuku on the other hand though. He's spent his entire life chasing after this man. So has Katsuki, but in a different way. He's thirsty and starved for Kaccan. He needs Kacchan looking at him. He needs Kacchan's attention. Izuku might have flirtations or crushes(genuinely believe something happened with Rody), but if Katsuki had one? Izuku would crash tf out.

It wouldn't be pretty, it wouldn't be cute. This man would be driving himself crazy trying to figure out what this person has that he doesn't, what attracted Katsuki. This man would go through literal surgeries if he had to to suit Katsuki's tastes. Does Katsuki need it? Absolutely not. I'm just saying that this man would go rabid about anyone but himself recieving special attention or an elevated station from Katsuki. He'd be gnawing at his nails, tearing himself apart if Katsuki's attention shifted.

Katsuki would also be irritated if Izuku gave someone more attention than him, but it's the attention that he hogs. He's simply not as possessive as Izuku.

An Au where everyone is born with a soulmate(it can be platonic or romantic).

Since they were babies, Bakugou and Deku knew they were soulmates as their soulmarks(what it is, is up to the writer) are the same but with Bakugou's being as green as Deku's eyes and Deku's being as red as Bakugou's eyes.

They were always glued to each other to the point people weren't even sure if they would be platonic or romantic soulmates.

But when they were around 10, something happened that make Bakugou start pushing Deku away and hate him which confused and worried everyone who tried everything to make them make up but nothing worked.

The truth was that a day when both were playing in a park a villain attacked which ended with Bakugou watching Deku die and feel the pain of losing his soulmate while his soulmark disappeared leaving behind a burn mark.

But before the authorities could declare Deku dead and inform his family, Deku suddenly opened his eyes which ended with everyone saying a miracle happened but Bakugou knew that whatever opened his eyes couldn't be Deku or Deku's quirk being that he is immortal as if that was true then his soulmark would still be there but when Bakugou tried to inform the heroes and authorities present about it they ignored him.

Whatever was in Deku's body continued acting like Deku but with what was Deku's love for his soulmate becoming an obsession that after they became teens started to scare Bakugou as no matter where he went, 'Deku' was there.

Things continued like this until they entered U.A where things started to change(what is up to the writer).

What took over Deku's body could be a evil spirit, an alien, basically anything but Deku so the writer can decide that as well as how this will affect the plot, if there will be a ship, if Bakugou will have to suffer forever with 'Deku' in his life, etc.
