Has anyone ever thought of the possibility of people in hisui getting a magazine from AFTER ingo and akari go home with either or both of them on it. Like they've already left and lo and behold in the tail end of the entire mess a magazine appears with one of them on the cover looking fresh stunning and most importantly happy. If it were Ingo i feel like he'd be all dressed up goth on the cover of like Vogue or something lmao (i don't think he wouldn't get famous if he wasn't already after coming home. Theyd want the publicity+cool extint Pokémon on the cover). If it were akari shed probably be like posing all badass like the badass teenager she is, scars in full view (she's a survivor!!!!!!). Inside is a little tidibit of their life after coming home. It would be both funny as hell to see them react to how they are in their element and like connect the dots for their strange behaviors AND bring closure to the people they left in hisui. They may never know this but the people in the past do
If anyone uses this idea tag me i may or may not read it but i want to know if you liked it enough to do something with it. I'll probably just keep daydreaming to myself about it lol
Edit: btw there's a whole section talking about everyone's battle prowess and the battle subway for the funnies. Just so you know

so. is it just me or does it feel like any time someone discusses a topic wherein they might say "this thing is not to my personal taste" and/or "I like this other thing better than that" it gets perceived as hate or discourse? because I feel like whenever I see someone having a fairly mild discussion about a topic (often just on their own blog) or even just discussing their personal opinions and taste, I will then see responses from others that are wild and extreme interpretations of what was actually said. what is going on. you are making a wedding cake out of a pancake. take a breath

Had a moment today that exemplifies how my family thinks but like, in a way that’s just very sad and makes me glad I don’t think that way.
Showed a relative the amazing painting that friend did for me, and her first response was “you’d be able to sell that for some good money!!!”
Like. No????
For months I’ve discussed this creative trade with this friend, we’ve talked about what the other wants, we’ve gotten excited about it and traded progress pics as we work on it for each other, gotten stoked over making plans to get to the post office and seeing the other finally get it, and it’s just been a very wholesome and very fun project. It took six weeks for us to complete these projects, and now I have something on display in my room that makes me very happy, that’s objectively beautiful, and that I know a friend put a lot of effort into making for me and was THRILLED when I adored it.
And my family’s immediate line of thinking is “make a few quid from it lol”.
I can’t imagine the headspace it must take to go through life like that.

Spirit of Justice was a game. It was a game that made me actually feel some kind of way about Dhurke Sadhmadi as a character. (That way was sad, mostly, and also complicated other emotions.)
You see your son for the first time in ten years. He looks happy. He doesn't look happy to see you. (You don't blame him.)
Idk I think he's...he's a complicated man and I do rotate him in my head. He did what he thought was best in a very complicated situation. It just so happened that all this managed to achieve was inflicting Apollo with some of the worst abandonment issues shy of Trucy (which it sure says smthn that Those Two In Particular probably have some extremely awful abandonment issues lmao).
Anyway uh...nothing quite like drawing fanart to keep from falling apart at the seams. Shouts out to Ace Attorney for being pretty evergreen as a fandom for my ADHD brain and good for me rotating my artistic crops. I can write, I can draw, and I never really burn out which is nice! (Knock on wood.)

they should give out big brothers when you're born. it's character-building. and if you can survive their horrible teen boy phase, you unlock Dad 2, the Sequel to Dad, But Actually Good This Time. once your big brother is in their thirties and finally reaching adult maturity, it's like having that meme that's like, "just learned about misogyny. sorry women" but it's a real person and your brother and it's every single day

Either way it's always fascinating to see people miss the point of operation condor because like yeah sure it was about communism but it also wasn't about communism at all. Like some of the governments weren't even socialist. It was also about nations that were organizing and doing good for themselves and posed a threat to the united states' opulent ways of living. It was kinda about cheap tropical fruit all year round and shirts under ten dollars and conveniently affordable meat for barbecues. It is about capitalism but in the sense that they needed operation condor to keep capitalism working. In the sense that the american dream depends on the constant suffering and submission of other countries.

in one of the most densely populated places in the world, housing has become a critically scarce resource as the sadistic colonial forces pursue a strategy of domicide — "the deliberate and systematic destruction of living spaces, targeting intimate places of residence so that any form of stability, physical or emotional, is replaced with a feeling of constant flux."
Nine out of ten people in Gaza are now internally displaced, including @mohammedhaboubsblog's family. I started talking to Mohammed earlier this month after his twin sister Farah was injured in the Al-Tabaeen school massacre on August 10th. Their family's campaign was vetted by 90-ghost here.
They're currently being charged astronomically high rent to keep a roof over their heads as Farah recovers. Their landlord is threatening eviction tomorrow if they don't raise the remaining $763 for September's rent in time:
It would be disastrous for Farah to be displaced and homeless again while her injuries are still healing. If you can spare any amount to help this family, they need our support urgently. If you can't donate please show your solidarity by sharing widely.
Please note the conversion rate! This campaign is in Swedish krona. $5 USD = kr52 SEK

This is just a personal pet peeve of mine but i feel like a lot of online art tutorials overstate the importance of stuff like guidelines to get “correct” anatomy every single time and while those are typically really good handgrips for beginners we should also tell beginners about gesture drawing. Like maybe i’m being too animatorbrained here but being able to pump out a pose in anywhere from 15 seconds to 2 minutes and quickly move onto the next drawing without lingering on every little mistake is a really really good way at getting good at drawing people proportions quickly. If you make mistakes fast you learn from them fast. So here’s a little exercise:
Sit down, grab some reference images, draw ten poses in twenty minutes (or do ten poses in ten minutes if you’re feeling adventurous or confident) and take a step back and look at your work after the fact. Be sure to move from drawing to drawing quickly once your timer is done. Pretend you’re in a model drawing class and the model has already changed pose whenever your timer hits - finish up whatever lines you were drawing, move on to looking at what the model is doing now.
You will make a lot of shitty drawings, of course, but that’s not so bad. You only spent a minute or two making each one. Focus on the drawings you do like, and look at them as a whole.
Look at all the drawings together and how they fit together on the page. Look at little details and lines you’re proud of. Take note of things you found difficult to get right in such a short time. Take note of the things you liked doing. Do the exercise again, and focus in on the things you want to improve or explore.
Maybe you want to focus on how the torso conveys its weight on the legs. Maybe you want to focus on how shoulders and arms bend around the neck. Maybe you want to focus on how to convey depth on the torso. Maybe you can learn something more about how to draw a body if you only draw using sharp lines and angles. Maybe you can learn something more if you only draw using squiggly, overlapping lines. Maybe you can learn more about how to draw a body if you only fill out the shadows with thick, quick lines. Congratulations! You’re not just learning how to draw a body, but you’re now also exploring your tastes!
This is a fine exercise to do alone, but it’s a lot more fun to do as an activity with a small group so you get to discuss the art you made together.
