Who do you think can portray dissociative episodes well?

I can only really think of two examples off the top of my head

particularly in 2x05 when Nick is forced to get married,

we actually see her disassociate from the situation and from her emotions

though not the same thing as purposefully disassociating, i'll include it

I’d have to say Guzman and Guzman is one of my least favourite characters (although I became more sympathetic towards him after Marina died). I know everyone talks about Ander and Aron Piper is a convincing actor but I think Miguel Bernardeau does a great job in showing how rage can be kind of like an out-of-body experience

There are characters like Tommy in Peaky Blinders where they kind of live in a constant state of dissociation and you can see that in how calm and cavalier Tommy is in situations where you wouldn't necessarily be or just in the way he carries himself, like how dead vs how alive his eyes are, but it's not like a scene that portrays the dissociation, it kind of just is

CATCHING MY BREATH, STARING OUT AN OPEN WINDOW

Nico 'Nibs' Navarro is based on Nibs from Peter Pan. He is a 26 year old human, personal trainer, and uses he/him pronouns. He has no powers. Nico is portrayed by Miguel Bernardeau and he is taken.

CATCHING MY DEATH, AND I COULDN’T BE SURE

Nico loved nothing more than adventure, and no matter what challenges awaited him and his fellow Lost Boys, Nibs was standing right alongside Peter at the front of the group, battle weapon in hand, ready to take on any and everything with the widest grin on his face. Many deemed him the bravest of the group, always the first to suggest taking on Captain Hook and his crew head on, not caring much for intricate planning or fine details as he was just excited to get into the thrill of it. He could be a bit headstrong at times, the first to start an argument when anyone backed down or suggested “thinking” before doing anything, but to his core; he loved his crew, he loved Peter, and he loved being a Lost Boy. When the Darling’s came, he was the first to offer to teach George and Michael how to fight in a battle, supplying them with branches and sling-shots and even going as far as to make targets for them to practice with. When Wendy went missing, Nibs hopped right into throwing blame at the pirates, begging Peter to plan some kind of ambush so they could get aboard his ship and get Wendy back. When it was clear his plan wasn’t going to be honored, he went off on his own to try and get her back, but turned back up a bit battered and empty handed. Frustrated his efforts had failed, wanting to prove himself, Nibs offered to accompany Peter in their search when they talked about leaving Neverland. He promised he’d be able to help protect him, which in turn, lead to all of the Lost Boys coming along. When the group ended up in Evermore, Nibs was beyond disappointed in their circumstances at first. No pirates to fight, no tall mountains to scale, no woods to run through— what WAS there? Nibs decided to use his skills to get himself a job at the gym as a personal trainer; that was something he knew he was good at. When he wasn’t at the gym though, he was out on the town looking for his next adventure, trying to keep himself on his toes, though part of him wishes he still had the easily accessible adventures of Neverland.

I HAD A FEELING SO PECULIAR

❀ Barrett Olivares: Though Nibs tended himself to be more of a chaotic-good, it didn’t mean he didn’t like getting his hands dirty every once and a while. Barrett had a mischief to him that intrigued Nibs, one unlike he had ever encountered, and he wanted IN. ❀ Elisabeth 'Eliza' Thornberry: Eliza is one of Nibs closest friends besides the Lost Boys. She’s so down to earth, outdoorsy, and likes to get right into the thick of whatever adventure they get themselves going on. It’s a small town, but with Eliza around, it feels a whole lot larger. ❀ Aisha Andros: Nibs has had a pathetic little crush on Aisha since he first met her. She’s pretty, intelligent, sassy… she gets his head spinning. Not that he’d ever admit that out loud, of course.

Miguel Bernardeau and Renata Notni Join Amazon’s “Zorro”

Miguel Bernardeau and Renata Notni have joined the cast of Amazon Studios and Secuoya Studios’ Zorro series. Javier Quintas and Miguel Angel Vivas are directing. Carlos Portela wrote the screenplay.

Zorro is set to be a modern take on the character. Bernardeau will portray Diego de la Vega, a landowner and disguised hero of the people. Notni will portray Lolita Marquez, a love from Diego’s younger years.

BARTY CROUCH SR: Father. Barty never felt accepted or loved by his father. It drove him crazy as a child because he saw his father’s approval and smile was reserved for everyone but him - his mother, their friends, even those he took under his wing at his work. When Barty first joined those with blood purity ideals, his father disapproved and made no secret of it. But now with them on top, he hopes his father will finally see how strong and powerful he has become. They are in control now and his son was on the winning side. Maybe he will finally be the son his father always wanted. 

AMELIA BONES: Potential Tracking. Barty wants to prove himself to the Death Eaters, he know he is one of the youngest members and he wants to prove that he is just as strong as the others and should be taken seriously. Barty knows that Amelia is code four and that someone needs to be assigned to watch her for the sake of peace by the Ministry. He’s hoping that he will be the one to track her, and has even taken the chance to do so a few times without being ordered to prove that he can keep up with the witch. 

ALECTO CARROW: Annoyance. When he looks at Alecto Carrow, Barty can’t understand why she is amongst the Death Eaters. She’s not as fanatical as Bellatrix Black and he’s always had mixed feelings about the women who included themselves amongst their numbers. Surely, they should not be the ones on the front line or controlling the new government they took over for their Dark Lord? Bellatrix is perhaps the only exception in his mind and he is annoyed to be below the older witch, the woman he thinks needs to hand her duties over to her brother and go home. There is a place for them all in their society and hers is not here.

I spotted RABASTAN ACHERON LESTRANGE in Diagon Alley early today. Have you heard the rumors? Supposedly the PUREBLOOD is affiliated with THE DEATH EATERS. Born on NOVEMBER / 1 / 1958, they are TWENTY FOUR and identify as CIS MALE (he/him) and HOMOSEXUAL (CLOSETED). They are UNEMPLOYED; it makes sense, given they are ABRASIVE & VOLATILE but also CHARISMATIC & ZEALOUS. When I think of them, I think of having everything you could ever desire within the reach of your finger tips, except for the one thing you want more than anything else;  a large house to remind you just how alone you really are; a shirtless male standing in front of a large window, his hand reaching out to gently touch the grass, longing to be on the other side.

the story of rabastan acheron lestrange is a tragic tale of a boy so caught up in the antics of his family, that he never truly got the opportunity to be himself.

the second of two sons born to one of the wealthiest, most prominent of wizarding families, he was born into a life of luxury and expectations. his older brother, nearing the age of eleven, had already proven himself more than capable of carrying on the family legacy. and it was expected that his brother would follow in his footsteps.

a multitude of tutors in subjects ranging from french to the very specific history of pureblood families were hired to educate him, in hopes of giving him an edge over the other students. he was a good student, earning praise from his teachers, but always falling short in the eyes of his parents. his brother, they told him, had been able to recite their family tree going back centuries, he messed up naming his great-great grandparents. they branded him a failure, telling him that he needed to take a page out of his brother’s book.

he became desperate to prove himself, to show his parents that he was just as worthy as his older brother. but it seemed as if he was always destined to fail, to never be as perfect as his older brother, as his parents often liked to remind him. and desperate to be seen as worthy, rabastan clung to his brother ever chance he got, trying to learn whatever he could from the older male.

by the time he reached age eleven and left for hogwarts, his parents had all but given up on him- deciding that he would never be his older brother. even after he was sorted into slytherin, even though he earned outstanding marks, and was one of the best students of his year, they still found a way to pick at his flaws.

it was the summer after his fifth year at hogwarts that things really started to change, his o.w.l. results had came in the mail, nothing below an exceeds expectations. he could remember his father smiling at him as he read the results out loud, the first time he could remember his father smiling about anything.

the next two years were supposed to be some of the best of his life, he had finally earned his parent’s approval, he was nearly done with school, he had the rest of his life in front of him. it was during this time, that his world came crashing down around him. the war had been going on for years by this point, but rabastan had always remained fairly blind to his family’s role. in fact, it wasn’t until his father invited him into his study over christmas break that he realized just how deeply involved they were.

rabastan left hogwarts without a clear cut plan, without a real idea of what he wanted to do with his life. he could have gone to work for the ministry, or even at the bank, but he didn’t want to spend his life sitting behind a desk. so much to the dismay of his parents, he decided to travel.

he return home to a full blown war, the world he had left behind seemingly errupting into chaos. people were dying left and right and his family seemed to be caught up right in the middle of it, and without hesitation, without bating an eye he rushed to their aid.

he never once stopped to think about what he was fighting for, not until recently when he read about the death of a classmate in the daily prophet. rabastan started to contemplate his involvement in the war, he had joined the cause because it was what his parents wanted, and certainly he had risen through the ranks, killing without hesitation. but now, he couldn’t help but think that perhaps, he didn’t want to be a part after all. but he feared, it was far too late to go back.

I especially love how Miguel is able to skip as Guzman from utter rage when he is angry about somone or somethig, to being the softest around Nadia. The little gestures and the millions of nuances in his facial expressions...

For example when he is sitting in that restaurant with Ander, Omar and Lu at the table receiving that message from Nadia if he is going to come to the club: he is reading the message and there is this little smile, his eyes twinkling because he is thinking of Nadia but then the next second the smile and twinkle disappeared because he had to listen to how both Omar and Lu were making fun of Nadia which hurt him to listen to.

Who did you like best on elite? Acting wise.

I think they’re all pretty good actors and in season 1 I did like Christian the best

but since he’s been gone, I’d have to say Guzman and Guzman is one of my least favourite characters (although I became more sympathetic towards him after Marina died).
