#PSA, PORTRAYAL NOTES.
since my canon for klaus is a mix of book and show (and my added creative flair), i'm going to pull all of the thoughts running around in my head here, in this one post for easy access. i will be adding to this as i think of things, and in some cases, there will be more detailed info to come!
my klaus is a haphazard mixture of canon. he is primarily book-based with minor details of show canon and my added creative flair thrown in; he is heavily canon divergent and unaffiliated with the vampire diaries/the originals show canon by default in his main verse. the details below will be the most important points to read and any other information can be given through plotting and character development. as always, if you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me a message!
i will often refer to the "old ones" as purebloods. they are capable of passing down their vampire genetics through birth, and niklaus was born the product of an affair. his pureblood mother, esther, held a steady affair with a pureblood werewolf, and the result nine months later was klaus.
concerning canon ships: my main love interest for klaus is katerina/katherine (see this post). all other ships need to be plotted due to the canon differences here (and klaus' serious toxicity), but i do ship caroline/klaus as well. hayley/klaus only when it concerns the vampire diaries show canon as i do not acknowledge the legacies canon or the events leading up to it (re: hayley's pregnancy and hope's birth). in his main verse, klaus is childless. — i will have a heavily divergent verse up for the originals/the legacies show canon acknowledging hayley's pregnancy and hope's birth because i don't want to give them up entirely and i do love them, but interactions in this verse will need at least some basic plotting due to canon divergencies here—or at the very least, open communication. i'm super flexible with it, of course, and i will have separate verses for more show canon-aligned threads and aus.
depending on what character i’m writing against, i’ll change some things up or throw you a show canon-esque verse vs my default one! it just depends on what works best for us both and we can plot the details out! if there’s ever a canon divergence point i have strong feelings about or feel is more of a concrete thing for my portrayal, i’ll tell you!
klaus is the one to turn katherine, and she's considered as formidable as he is. as a child she was always sick and when a doctor of human sciences told her she would die soon, her maid sought klaus out because she knew he was in the same village at the same time, and he saw something in her that made him want to turn her... because he certainly didn't do it out of the kindness of his own heart.
as far as klaus' siblings are concerned, i take a lot of inspiration from the originals show canon there. i love them too much to throw them away, and their bonds will stay relatively the same except that they parted ways nearly a millennia ago and they have more long distance type relationships presently, with klaus typically only visiting them if he needs something or he finds he misses them too much *in my default verse. he used to send them postcards and trinkets from his travels (especially elijah, rebekah and freya), and in modern times, he stays in contact consistently over the phone. — when they flee from their father sometime in the first millennia, they stick together for awhile as old ones, traveling and running from mikael, a pureblood vampire turned hunter when he found he couldn't cope with what he was—what his family was. in earlier years, they often pose as royalty, most notably lords and ladies of a wealthy, aristocratic family.
as far as his father is concerned, klaus is unaware of his birth father ansel, who had been a pureblood werewolf. mikael, who esther attempted to pass off as klaus' father, somehow always knew. a lot of this is taken from show canon in the sense that klaus still grew up with a shitty, abusive father who hated him for being different. for being the product of an affair his mother had—solid proof of her infidelity staring him in the face every single day. a lot of these feelings contributed to mikael's eventual breakdown and becoming a hunter. he grew to hate what he was, what his family was, but the hatred for klaus was even stronger. when his children fled after mikael's first attempt at killing them, he trails after them for quite some time until they finally put him down with the aid of klaus' witches.
presently, klaus has sired numerous successful hybrids using the blood of doppelgangers and continues to search for werewolves to turn, although they are often scarcely found. in his main verse, he has a small army of them at his disposal, but the sire bond doesn't exist in these cases unless plotted.
speaking of his army, it doesn't consist of only hybrids. klaus is a master at networking and has cultivated an "army" of those loyal to him, including powerful witches working on his side and in his trusted inner circle. something something slater contacting elijah through a fucking craigslist ad something something. it's the same with klaus. odds are, somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody... knows how to initiate contact with klaus or those in his circle, but it's never direct. "how do i find klaus? you don't find klaus... klaus finds you."
a key point: there is no hybrid curse in klaus’ canon. he comes to fell's church/mystic falls in the early 90s to avenge katherine's death at the hands of elena and her friends. the ending is changed, with klaus never dying—because how are we supposed to believe that humans who just learned of supernaturals like 6 months ago have the power to take him down? no, thanks. they do drive him out of the town, however, and he goes on to remain nomadic, but not before making his mark on the humans of fell's church. — when it comes to interactions with show characters in klaus' main verse, i often take inspiration from the vampire diaries show canon for his antics against elena and her friends and their consequences, however due to canon divergencies here, we might have to have some basic plotting.

klaus and his brothers and sisters are the progenitors of the vampire race, but klaus is the sole progenitor of vampire/werewolf hybrids. he is the very first. — as the progenitor of the vampire/werewolf hybrids, klaus is able to create hybrids by feeding a werewolf his blood, snapping their necks or killing them in some way, and then having them drink the blood of a doppelganger or principal guardian descendant, but he can also create them by passing down his genes through genetics, but only with werewolf women capable of bearing children, as vampires are typically unable to change their bodies to accommodate a growing baby. *he could, in theory, have children with other purebloods and pass down his hybrid genetics this way, but if we're including that his family was the original vampires, that'd be gross, you know?

MEATRIARCH OVERVIEW.
m'kay so -- mostly putting this together as both a quick look for new faces & a lil' refresher for those who've been following for a while but also as a general overview on not just how i run things but also on my muses, their portrayals, some blog updates, and so on! ♡ meant for clarity & hopefully ensure there's no confusion about certain things i may mention on the dash but always feel free to shoot me a message / ask for anything further! ♡
MARIA AURORA FLORES.
starting off with my main girl, my pride & joy, my sunshine incarnate. i write maria as someone very warm & with a whole mess of love to shower on those she cares about. she is achingly sweet, doting, affectionate; she adores her friends, adores her mama & sister, has a complicated relationship with her father. i've done quite a bit to flesh her out beyond what gun's put out for her in the slightest & i love where she's grown over the months since adding her onto the roster. she is my main / primary muse -- so know i constantly yap and ramble about her, i have headcanons and lore posts sprinkled all over the blog & the archived blog. i love & adore her as a muse and she's become both incredibly special to me & easily one of my absolute favorite characters to write as. that being said, with how much i've added to her, i view my portrayal of her as more oc at this point than a character of gun -- unfridged my girl, yanked her away from them and took off with her lmao alot of what i've built with her was both greatly helped by the dynamics weaved together with my affiliates / mains' portrayals which i'll get to later on ♡ but know some things may not carry over into interactions between my maria & any duplicates of my affiliates' muses!
ANA FLORES.
i haven't gone through much writing for ana yet -- but know when i do speak of ana in a general sense on here? i am specifically referring to my own ana & my personal flores' family lore! if i refer to other ana's in future posts i'll most likely note so either by, for example, ' renee's ana ' or if its to that point in plotting, then with a dynamics tag on the post! otherwise assume when i'm yapping about ana in general i'm referring to my own portrayal of her by default! c: ( note that all you cute ana mutuals are still more than welcome to interact with posts about her / her & maria / the flores' ♡ just something to keep in mind if i refer to her in a general sense in posts! )
DANNY ALEJO - OSORIO.
ya'll may know our just some guy danny by gun's canon of him -- danny gaines. the danny here however is technically my own portrayal of danny gaines that i developed before he was officially dropped & we got his last name. should i interact with others writing danny gaines? i'm completely gucci with considering my danny & gaines as entirely separate characters!
* correction : i now consider danny to be entirely severed from guns danny gaines and is, now, an oc fully. he is entirely his own character. otherwise, the speedrun of danny is as follows : danilo alejo-osorio is mexican-colombian, befriended maria in their early teens. he comes from a broken family with a very fractured & a.busive father, his mother returned to colombia and started another family there believing he'd have a better life staying in the states. he went through a very rough period hanging with a real shitty crowd of so-called friends, got into a shitton of fights, broke into homes and businesses with them, stole shit, broke shit, just in general not great influences. a break-in went wrong, his "friends" scattered, and he was arrested when the police showed up, and spent time in juvie for it. none of those friends ever came by. his father didn't, none of his family did. maria, her mother and ana, instead, were his constant visitors. and it was her coming to see him, her encouragement and push for him to do better is what finally made him realize he needed to turn his shit around. at the point of maria going missing & the house, danny's going to trade school by the southern coast for ship & underwater welding courses & training. he & maria are best friends. he is her ride, die, kill. gun noted once upon a time how strong dannys' devotion to her is -- my danny is very much devoted to her. he would kill for her without hesitation -- and not in his dire au's, even, but just in general. danny would do anything for those he cares about. any of the friendgroup.
THE FLORES FAMILY.
my personal take / lore is as follows basically : papa flores ( ramón ignacio ) & mama flores ( carmen ainara ) were long-term sweethearts whose marriage and little family seemed perfectly ideal. however, the closer that their eldest daughter, maria, got to her teen years, the sicker carmen started to become. she attempted to keep it under wraps, hush-hush from the girls' to not worry or scare them. but she was diagnosed with a lung disease ( p.ulmonary f.ibrosis fingerguns @ silver for same braincell lmao ) that is considered ( esp in the 70s likely ) to be terminal. while the girls' weren't aware of her being ill to that degree, ramon fully was. and the stress of coming to terms with his wife being sick and finding out that she may eventually pass due to it, so he claims, "caused" him to start an affair. carmen does find out, and ramon removes himself from the flores' family home to move in with his affair partner. maria, being forgiving and more gentle-hearted compared to ana, attempted to still paint him in a positive light so that ana wouldn't resent him. tried to give him the benefit of the doubt -- that he at least still did love them all. that he'd keep the promises to still be active in their lives, still show up when he said he would -- however, there's only so many excuses, so many promises broken, so many calls never ringing through, before that hope crumbles. ana would witness both her mother & maria deal with their fathers' heartbreak through closed bedroom doors, and it'd only make her despise him more for it. when maria later goes missing, ramon returns to try and help in whatever ways he can -- and ana is very unreceptive to him being there. he lost his chance in her eyes to play "dad" to them. and she makes it known clearly to him how much she resents him and reminds him he's got no place in their family, anymore. that he's there ONLY to help find maria and not to expect shit from any of them.
THE HEWITTS & THE SAWYERS.
by default, i say a giant fuck you to the difference in continuity's when it comes to the family! i write the hewitt's as an extension of the sawyer ( or, slaughter ) family tree. the hewitts & sawyers connected when luda mae married charlton hewitt sr. luda, in my personal canon, was born into the family through one of grandpa sawyers' many kids' he's taken in over his long-fuckin'-ass lifespan lmao alot of the family dynamics that are my canon here stem from lamb & i's back & forths. i find blending the various iterations of the family -- from originals to remakes etc -- as all just extended families to each other alot easier to work around and opens the door to more interactions with canons' from other versions of tcsm! c: i'm currently slow-piecing together a family tree of the hewitt-sawyers based on that blended concept. to the sawyers, luda is referred to by aunt or grandma ( sometimes ma luda, even ) and thomas is referred to as cousin tommy.
THOMAS & THE TITLE OF "L.EATHERFACE".
i was going to make this its own post but i'll add to this one instead. but with the idea of the hewitts & sawyers being just on massive family unit? of course there's the question of how the fuck do both thomas & bubba ( or other iterations of LF ) work then? i'd argue its primarily due to the fact that those who don't personally know them both don't know their actual names, and simply refer to them by the most notable feature -- the masks. with my thomas, yes, he does take faces of victims and he does wear them. however. thomas' skin condition -- flesh-eating disease / tumor growths on his face -- is why he wears his animal-leather half-mask. that half mask is his primary mask. he is almost always wearing that or varying versions of it. when thomas DOES skin someones' face to wear? it is almost always out of rage. hatred. it's done to intimidate. to unsettle. its from back in september but, one of my thomas' replies to kels notes this about thomas! the masks of both animal & human leather are still very much a part of thomas as i write him -- but, when it comes to the hewitt-sawyers being one family unit & thomas & bubba co-existing? "l.eatherface" becomes a title in a sense -- two giant motherfuckers who wear masks?? they get confused for one another. despite thomas being arguably much larger both being beefy & being 6'9 compared to bubba. they both don't really stray far from home. how often do outsiders get a chance to see them both separately let alone close to one another? likely not a common sight. it'd be very easy to spot one of them and then assume they are one in the same, honestly. that's how i go about things here, at least! it ties into more, again, of the back-&-forths lamb & i have minecrafted especially but, i'm all for altering that for specific interactions for those who don't want to meddle with all of that! (:
NANCY.
spooky momther will retain what her abilities have grown into by my personal headcanons across the board! however there are certain points to how i portray her that, from any posts about her i've made, are tied into lamb's johnny and so know that there will be differences in how she may be with other johnnys! i'm all ears to how different nancy & johnny's relationship can turn out! if theres anything i feel overlaps with other dynamics of theirs, i will let you know and we can work something else out c:
GENERAL PORTRAYAL NOTE.
mentioned it already but : all muses here are very heavily canon-divergent & built out from their canon lore by my own brainrot going wild with them all. with that in mind, i do just about consider each of my portrayals of these muses as my own oc's at this point with how much i've added onto them / built them up from literal nothing like in maria's case. i'm more than happy to either adapt how i write any of them to better fit into anyone elses' takes! and i'm more than happy to welcome more into the brainrot that i've minecrafted with the flores' or the hewitt-sawyers etc! that's something to come from plotting however! if we haven't really spoken ooc / etc then i default to a more general vision of the characters for the time being. i'm all up for taking different routes with new writing partners so please don't be shy about reaching out! c: if theres anything that conflicts with pre-existing personal lore of mine or is too similar to plots or dynamics i have already, i'll let you know and try to offer alternatives!
AFFILIATE PORTRAYALS & RELATED AU'S.
i have a few writing partners who i am affiliated with & with their respective tcsm canon muses. kels' leland, rae's connie, & lamb's johnny -- when i refer to leland/lee or connie or johnny in general on my posts, do know i am specifically referring to their portrayals as my general lore across my blog takes their muses & the dynamics built between them into account ♡ like i mentioned in ana's lil section, i'll start to make note in posts when i am referring to duplicate johnnys / lelands / connie's / etc for when im mentioning others' portrayals specifically! by default though i am always referring to my affiliates' portrayals when i post c: just wanted to clarify that though in case it was at all confusing or unclear ♡ affiliate verses here are as follows so far : - cold case ( cc / maria's dire au ; with lamb's johnny ) - no one saved you / we saved us ( nosy / wsu / maria & leland's joint dire au ; with kels' leland & lamb's johnny ) - oath binded ( maria & johnny's red string & reincarnation au / with lamb's johnny ) and then the still babiest dire au for my danny, - choke chained ( with lamb's johnny ). these verses, for me, are strictly worked with lamb ( & with kels for nosy/wsu ) -- meaning i'm not writing in them or doing similar au's with other portrayals of johnnys or lelands! again in case i haven't been clear on it before and it causes any confusion or anything! ♡
MARIA & JOHNNY.
i am not going to be shipping maria in any romantic / intimate sense nor am i open to any prolonged captive plots & interactions with other portrayals of johnny sawyer. those types of dynamics & interactions i've decided from this point on to close that for my maria to lamb's johnny ( @johnnysslaughter ) ♡ there has been a lot of plotting & build up between my portrayal of maria & lamb's portrayal of johnny and their varying dynamics across verses / au's and their different trajectories. and because of how many different iterations of their dynamic has been pieced together, i personally am not going to be taking other plots / dynamics with other johnny's that fall under the same umbrella as the dynamic between our maria & johnny do -- again meaning, i personally won't be shipping romantically / intimately nor will I take on plots that run parallel to cold case / no one saved you re: maria being taken captive for a prolonged period of time with other johnnys. alot of this decision on my part is very much due to how much we have developed them together -- another big part of it is my trust & comfort level with lamb to explore those dynamics between maria & johnny. this doesn't mean we are exclusive to one anothers' portrayals -- i am happy to write with other johnny's! and lamb is welcome to interact with other maria's! but from this point onward, i will only ship maria & johnny with lamb. ♡

PSA. so i have been rping on tumblr since 2017 with ups and downs and really never had any problems, but one thing i noticed is that whenever i write a canon character there's this very awkward moment in replies where people assume things about the portrayal based on their comprehension about said character. it happens with me, too, but i'm trying to police it more and more. mistakes happen, especially with an universe like asoiaf. but please, assume things about my dany (which is fine sometimes, ok? like. i don't expect anynone to actually read EVERY TAKE i post on this silly blog) but don't try to correct me through threads. i am not writing your vision here, or grrm's. this is my interpretation and on rp there is no right or wrong about any character/universe unless it harms and triggers people. i may dislike a character you like, for example, but adore and write with your version of them (this happens with alicent for example. i dont like hotd alicent at all but am more than happy to write w blogs based on that and actually love them! as it happens frequently, alicent blogs ily) aaand this doesnt give me the right to constantly bash alicent on threads through dany/inner self, or use it as a escaping moment to push my opinions of her to you and especially towards your portrayal. thats just rude lol
so um yeah basically this is me saying plotting is cool to find a middle ground and ooc talk too <3

In today's episode of 'Sae, do you (...)': the topic of Ningguang and Yelan, and I thought that I should note my opinion more clearly outside of my rules as it's very important information for my portrayal: I do not ship Ningguang and Yelan romantically.
Honestly, while this is of course my own opinion, I don't find that there's anything to really substantiate a romantic interest between the two. For starters, I don't think that Ning, as interesting of a character as she is with a past that might just be similar in its 'rise' to Yelan's (we're left with very little information on the latter's childhood), ticks the right kind of boxes for her, though to be fair: not many do. Yelan craves a specific sort of thrill in her life, I mean she lives it at the roll of a dice because she is, on some level, bored, and craves the unexpected, the unusual, the 'surprise', and Ningguang's life nor personality seem to play into that. Beyond it, Yelan would need a kinship within this very specific 'loneliness' that I talk about too often and I think that Ning is not one who quite meshes into that in the right way.
Second, despite their long-standing history that even predates their mutual involvement with the Qixing, there seems to be a certain professional distance between the two that I'm quite fond of that is shown in brief event cutscenes, and also Yelan's vision story, that I find inherently intriguing. Perhaps this distance plays more into Yelan's character of not investing too heavily, or rather not too easily, into social dynamics than it does Ning's (I'm not one to weigh in on her character), but it seems evident to me that there's also that semblance of professionalism that creates a line that takes away the possibility of growing closer on an emotional level. And whether that's a mutual decision or not is not up to me to judge, but I think it's one that's made rather clearly from Yelan's side. On top of that, Yelan is Yelan and it's my personal belief that shipping her is rather difficult.
Now I'm also inherently of the opinion (unpopular, I know, I apologize) that dynamics aren't always more interesting when written in romantic settings, and I don't think it's a benefit for all of them to veer into a romantic nature. And in my opinion (and most importantly: in my depiction and understanding of Yelan's character), I think that having Ning and Yelan cross the line from professionalism into something inherently more rooted in romanticism, would be a detriment to their dynamic. Because honestly, I think the fact that Ningguang being one of two people (other being Uncle Tian) to know Yelan best, without ever crossing that line, is too good. I would simply, well, just prefer to keep that not only platonic, but professional, but of course not excluding it of Yelan's quips, and the occasional 'confidant' element.

#[ psa. ] seeing isn't always believing. and if you can't trust your eyes; you certainly can't trust rumors.#[ also; and this is where you'll learn more about my 'single-ship' self-- i love the concept of ningguang and beidou. ]#[ and i wouldn't want to take away from that dynamic /in my own head/. it's not about what others do/see/view. but about my own head. ]#[ if i did ship it-- it'd counter that dynamic and i don't like that (again: in my own brain). ]#[ i'm an odd rper in that sense; but i almost have difficulty straying from this... single verse concept. ]#[ in my head i tie specific characters to other specific characters after a lot of thought and i don't commit to those thoughts easily. ]#[ but then i construct this entire huge narrative in my head that's almost like its own book. ]#[ and so i can't easily 'copy' that multiple times for multiple ships. does that make sense? ]#[ but /because/ i do that-- i heavily scrutinize dynamics across the board and it's where a lot of my enjoyment as a writer comes from. ]#[ these analyses of specific characters and dynamics. why are they the way that they are? ]#[ it's psychology. i love it. it's not just saying 'i love finding out what makes characters tick' but it's actively really going... ]#[ 'yeah okay i could ship these-- but is there basis for it and /why/ and /in what capacity/ and specifically: /would they decide to/? ]#[ sometimes i tell myself that i'm not made for rp'ing because i'm too analytical meshed in with too much emotion. ]#[ because i get too invested. ]#[ but i just-- i don't know. i wanted to kind of explain why pointing stuff like this out is important to me and my portrayal. ]#[ especially for yelan who has such a... god; it's almost an unhealthy headspace. you can't mesh that with just anyone. ]#[ the person has to /really get it/ and understand it almost on this level that isn't logical for most humans. because it's unusual. ]#[ but it's important that it's understood /by another human being/. ]#[ and i also think some people genuinely don't mesh in /that/ way. some can mesh perfectly platonically in my head and then... ]#[ not at all romantically. but when /my head/ has decided that this is how it is-- i respect when people disagree; i do. ]#[ i will never say that my opinions are the be all end all for other yelans or even yelan's character in specific. ]#[ as much as i like to think i analyze-- /i could be wrong/. ]#[ but all in all; i do respect if people disagree. but there's just certain opinions i have for my own portrayal that i need to note. ]#[ but also-- a little explanation as to why i'm single-ship more often than not. i wish i could budge how my brain works. but alas. ]#[ /sips coffee past midnight. ]#[ it's been a day. it really has been a day; i need to make my own serotonin tomorrow. i miss writing. ]

So something I’ve been working on recently (prompted by Marnie a mutual who mentioned watching a playthrough as a great means to familiarize/re-familiarize with the series) is… an edited cinematic style playthrough of the trilogy. I’ve managed to pare things down in the playthrough to only the most majorly important aspects of the playthrough (i.e. skipping the majority of side quests), along with some reorganization of clips or clever use of clips to make things flow more like a movie format. While it’s by no means perfect, it’s a little more digestible than skipping through hours of gameplay.
Currently, I am still working on this as I am in the midst of a full playthrough of the trilogy. This version is only going to feature Kaidan’s romance path, though it will feature the events of the Virmire Savior Mod (allowing for both Ashley and Kaidan to be saved on Virmire, and subsequently be part of things in the remainder of the trilogy). Each “episode” is roughly movie length, averaging out at around 1 hour and 20 minutes per clip.

I just ask that it only be shared by RPC accounts and not fan accounts.#& generally speaking while Kat’s dialogue is paragade most of her primary decisions are paragon in nature#& there tends to be a lean toward paragon or paragon-leaning Shepards in the RPC from what I have noticed#so really the majority of major decisions made that affect the major story are applicable to a large number of portrayals

If you're roleplaying with me, I'd like to clarify a few things:
It's okay if your muse doesn't like (or even hate) my muse.
It's okay for your muse to not reciprocate the feelings of my muse if my muse ends up falling in love with your muse.
It's okay for your muse to fall in love with my muse.
It's okay for your muse to be violent against my muse.
It's okay for your muse to change their perception of my muse over time or after a specific interaction.
I'm open to try out different dynamics with the same muse — like maybe in one au, they're lovers and in another au they're enemies.
In fact, as long as I know that mun is a rational human being I'll allow most things to happen to my muse or between our muses.
I'll likely lose interest if mun appears to be uncomminucative. Initially roleplaying is a two-way interaction. I don't want to accidentally offend or hurt you because we failed to properly communicate. (Let's face it. It's more fun when it happens ic than ooc).

my shisui is au and is blind and this is very important to the way that i write him. brief overview below, but his full doc is here.
tldr; danzo succeeds in taking both of his eyes, but not in killing him. he is in the hospital recovering when the uchiha massacre takes place. after, he trains to uses his chakra sense to navigate the world without sight. for my interpretation, he is disabled and he identifies this way. he has a ninken partner guide dog. he is no longer in the anbu and only rarely takes on missions, but he is still, by all accounts, a capable and deadly shinobi. he is interested in teaching and working with disabled shinobi to use their abilities to aid themselves in the world, like he has used his.
i am only going to say this once: if you suggest to me means that shisui's blindness could be "fixed" within the canon of naruto ( because yes i know this is possible, i did watch the show ), this is ableist and i am not interested. please self reflect on why you feel uncomfortable with a disabled character who is not "cured" by the narrative. please make space for disabled characters in your fantasy settings without trying to magic away their disability.

just a small psa!
two major things for me and my comforts! one is that i plan to rewrite how i view / want the zora and sidon's involvement in totk to reflect on this blog, as i'm dissatisfied with their role and how their plotline essentially felt dry. that post'll come soon! secondly, catering to all my followers who write / muse link. sidlink ( out of proximity to the engagement and marriage of yona, so AU or BotW strictly ) is absolutely an option! i just have one request ; i'd like to talk mun-to-mun first before we just jump into a thread. i've found that the way i write sidon, he holds a lot of complex feelings towards link as a person, and it's almost like a tangled fishing line he's trying to unravel day by day. so it's. . . mentally a minefield trying to cater to the shipping desires while also maintaining that sort of ' inexperience ' with relationships and self expression sidon battles.

i'm gonna start by running out the gate: to address the problematic and racist language in "the quarry". it is VITAL to know that this game is in the wrong for the way they handled silas and his mother, and how they did not learn from their stint making "until dawn". in my portrayal of caleb hackett, he will have been bitten by a man. not by silas. but still to keep themes, this man locked himself up, kaylee found him after hearing the noise, wanted to free him, and caleb went along to help.

(hey un-casual reminder that sending people (especially queer people) anonymous asks interrogating their portrayal of queer characters is fucked up and invasive! you don't have to write with everyone and it's okay to not follow someone whose writing you find triggering or uncomfortable or not representative of your experience, but when you decide that your response to that content is to send anonymous asks questioning their identity and patronizing them for the ideas and themes they want to explore, you've crossed a line! Whether you're a well-meaning ally or another queer person yourself, it's bad energy to decide that a queer portrayal is only valid if it fits into a very narrow sliver of experiences. Everyone is going to write about experiences and feelings in a different way, and that should be celebrated rather than attacked.)
