tbh I’ve forgiven and healed and made huge strides in recovery but my body still remembers that day as the first time I’ve lost someone that mattered and it’s really weird to see how vividly my body remembers it even though my mind has moved on. i rly struggle with memory in general but i still remember getting the phone call and hearing the voicemail that you’re gone. i still remember it being just a few days before your next birthday and how upset i was that you were having a funeral instead of getting birthday wishes. you would’ve been 28 yesterday. i still remember how special and awkward it felt to give your mom a bouquet of flowers with a vase i made from the wine bottle you got because you thought it looked cool. i remember how awkward i felt that we never told her about our history and that she’ll remember me as just a friend of yours. i remember notifying support with your obituary attached so your social media could be memorialized. im sorry the world wasn’t kinder to you. im sorry that all i can do about it is cry and try to make meaning for my own life. no one was able to save you but i can at least choose to move forward and do my best in your honor. things will get better. i will love with all i have

Elite Tag has really grown on me. RC does a lot of fantasy and their conflicts are often grandiose, like no less than saving the world. Tag feels more grounded in comparison. More porsonal. Like in this update, when MC meets her fan, a side character we've only seen in one or two scenes before, crying because her birthday party was ruined. And MC just talks to the kid a bit and helps her get home. It was... sweet. This story is not without flaws, there are a lot of aspects I find silly and all, but the author really got me with the emotional side of things, the characters and the bonds they share.
