It's been a year in the making, but your guy, is actually taking... time off. I'll be heading off to the states to meet friends and do a lil bit of Networking for Confluence and myself and even running a workshop with @poppyrocks at Big Bad Con! I'll be mostly AFK between 22/10 and the 13/11 when it comes to Emails and work related things, but I'll be noodling around on here and social media so I won't be totally gone! Poppyrockgems over on etsy is currently having a sale. I've bought from them in the past (and just favorited that carved Rhodonite rose, so may be buying from them again. Someone please buy it and save me money)

Now the problem is that shops like Poppyrocks often specialized and don't carry a lot of inexpensive tumbled stones that people are looking for.

For that, you'll need to risk something like GemGemRock which has a much wider selection. But, look, anything with a name like Strawberry Obisidian or Green Apple something or other is either completely or partly manmade. Still, if you stick to the basics, their amythest is amythest.

Golden Hour Minerals has been hanging out on tumblr a bit. They cater more to the serious rock collector and the prices reflect that. But now and then I find a great deal on the site. Also - really take a look at their collection because shops like GHM can really help you learn how to understand less specialized shops like GGR.

Note: if you shop etsy often enough, it is possible to negotiate prices on some of the more speciality items.

Does anyone have any recommendations on online crystal stores? I found an amazon crystal store but not sure if I entirely trust it nor do I want to really buy from amazon because of how big it has gotten, but if anyone knows that I could trust them that would be also helpful☺️

For Hunter x Hunter!!! I’ve seen the 2011 anime and read some of the manga. Haven’t seen 99′ yet, but a lot of people seem to prefer the 2011 anime!!

And lemme tell ya, I can’t imagine many better adaptations of a story.The soundtrack is beautiful, animation is beautiful. Both sub & dub are great! (the first few eps of the dub are a lil weird for killua and gon, but they get better very quickly!!)

I’m head over heals in love with the 2011 anime. It’s one of my all-time favorites next to FMA Brotherhood, which it has some similarities with as a second attempt anime. It’s planned pretty much perfectly, it’s apparently extremely close to the manga, and it had a solid budget all around.

As with many series, the beginning is kind of slow for a lot of people, but it progressively picks up pace until you find yourself at the bottom of a hole, fully invested. 😭(at least thats my experience ahaha...)

Another thing to keep in mind is even though the anime is 148 episodes long, it doesn’t cover the entire manga. But!! It ends without leaving too much out, so it stands alone really well. And if you want to catch up to the manga after that, it’s not all that further than where the anime leaves off, mostly because it’s on hiatus 80% of the time...But anyway!! I think it depends on if you feel like reading a manga or watching a an anime 😊The manga is still great from all that I have read. I personally really love Togashi’s art!! But I know for sure that the anime had a huge impact on me 💪

Sorry I rambled again but. If you ask me about HxH I could go on for days.

I feel your pain about the chessex website I was trying to do an order and one of the things I wanted was out of print and after 3 revisions the guy was like "Here let me just send you the most recent catalogue...." WHY ISN'T ON THE WEBSITE

I honestly and truly think they make it hard on purpose, because they’d rather sell in bulk to game shops than a few dice at a time to single customers. That said, their customer service reps have always been helpful and polite to me when I tried contacting them directly, even when the answer is “we’ve been out of that for ages, sorry”
