"You didn't know?"  』

Already having been hit with something absolutely earth shattering once, the fact that Xu apparently knew about this really shouldn't be as surprising as it was. Did she always stick her nose in her students' business? Was he the only one who'd been oblivious to it?!

"Of course I didn't know!" He snaps back, embarrassed and a little flustered by the entire thing. Alright sure so he'd seen Seifer and Squall hang out and snipe at each other and okay so maybe they looked more relaxed around each other than anyone else, but still—!

He's known them both for years now, even if they hadn't started really crossing paths until recently when being paired on missions together and having no choice but to get used to each other. They'd become good friends in that time, he'd dare to say. So how come he's the last one in the loop??

He's very much not going to think about how that makes him feel, thank you very much.
