#poor college student

I think people don’t understand how tough it is being a college student from a poor family. My parents can’t often send me money, and I’m grateful for what they can send me, but also being poor as a college student sucks.

Crying in the middle of a Walmart because you can’t afford groceries and the food at your college is so bad, is terrible and I wish it on no one.

Wondering if you’ll be able to buy pads this week is terrible. Wondering if you’ll be able to have a snack this week is terrible. Wondering if you’ll be able to pay your phone bill is terrible, even though you rely on your phone because it has assistive technology on it. Wondering if you’ll be able to afford your nicotine addiction is terrible. Wondering if you’ll be able to afford clothes is terrible. Wondering anything when it involves money is terrible, and I hate every moment of it.

Basically, I go to a small-town college that has been around since the 1800s!! Like literally the 19th century, and it is so hugely for the environment and community?? Like we are a sustainable school that’s big into all types of recycling and bettering the environment—like have you ever heard of teracycling? I didn’t until I came here.

But, so, my school is in danger 💀 it’s so for the environment and the community that they forgot how expensive that can be, and are in danger to SHUT DOWN??? AT THE END OF THIS SEMESTER???!???

Guys, I am a senior. I had ONE MORE SEMESTER, I WOULD’VE BEEN GRADUATED IN DECEMBERRR!! (I wanted to double major in Graphic Design and Psychology. Schedules were a pain. Oopsies?)

And so the school is POORRRRR, we need to somehow rally up

idk how this would work in the OIAR bc i just feel like they wouldn’t let anyone from outside look at their files, but i think it would be really funny to have like. a college age researcher show up to the og magnus institute or the OIAR who’s like studying the paranormal or folklore or some shit (cue guy with an actual degree in parapsychology which makes martin shit himself when he tries to start conversation HELPP) who’s just like oh hi guys this is my honors project! :) can i look at some spooky stories? 🤗 and the OIAR/MI staff are like NO. DO NOT LOOK INTO THIS ANY FURTHER RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. but i feel like elias would 100% require that they help this person out, bc he’s evil and he’d want a fear to eat them, and like… it’s just funny to imagine like. the staff trying to keep the true nature of the institute/OIAR away from this totally clueless 22/25 year old and feeding them the silliest statements possible that don’t connect at all to throw them off track so this poor kid is confused and hopefully gives up. but also kinda bittersweet imagining them all coming together to protect a stranger from falling into a world they can no longer escape… the old “it’s too late for me but it’s not too late for you” makes my heart hurt

I do not believe that burgers is Spark’s favorite food. He just eats alot of junk food in general. I mean c’mon the guy barley can sustain a job after college and is unable to pay his rent. He is living off from a 15 dollar course meal of fast food, instant noodles, 10 liters of red bull and monster energy drinks, and the 50 frozen TV dinners in his freezer he bought from the dollar store.

Okay, I've tried so hard to get into TGCF l, especially cause I'm already deeply rooted into the MDZS and the SVSSS Fandom. MDZS may have been my first love, but SVSSS was my soulmate. I've read to like chapter 24, I think, but I at the time couldn't find any more translations, and I don't have money for the physical copy nor the shelve space. SOB. All this to ask for a place to read the rest of it. I've been spoiled at a little bit through osmosis, so I think? I know some of the big reveals, but I might be wrong.
