Amber: My little fire bunny, I love her so much. She’s always so bubbly and capable. My go to archer. My SO bought me a copy of her Baron Bunny, best Christmas gift ever!

Barbara: I want to adopt her. I know a lot of people find her annoying, but I just can’t, she’s too adorable! She just wants to make everybody feel better with her singing. My #1 healer!

Bennet: My son! My poor, unlucky son. I hate that he has trouble forming an adventuring team because of his bad luck, and it always makes me so happy to see him with his friends during events.

Cyno: He is my biggest favorite out of all of these characters. I love how he’s serious and stoic right up until he starts relaxing and begins cracking silly jokes. Some of them are hit-and-miss, but others are genuinely funny to me. I love how protective he is, even with the criminals he’s dealing with - if they are in his care, then no harm will come to them until he can hand them over to the Akademiya (and after that it’s no longer his problem 🤷‍♀️). And I love how nerdy and absolutely obsessed he is with the in-game card game.

I still need to get him to lvl 90 so he can replace Keqing as my electro character. And then Keqing can get a much needed break.

Diluc: He falls into two of my favorite character tropes - red hair, and fire powers. I’m weak. ‘Course it doesn’t help that he’s an honorable, hardworking, eloquent, rich boy who seems so incredibly lonely, even when he’s surrounded by people.

Gorou: Puppy! Puppy-puppy-puppy-puppy! He’s so cute, and I love how he has a huge sweet tooth! I bet he’d be nice to cuddle. Can I adopt him? Please? 🥺

Itto: Bestest and tallest oni! I love how carefree he is, he’s such a child at heart. Also, he’s hilarious! I love listening to him speak, his voice actor does an amazing job.

Kaeya: I love-hate him. I never forgave the smug-ass bastard for lying about giving me a new weapon if I found some smugglers for him. But damn he’s smooth and so pretty. And such a tease, argh! 😩

Kaveh: He has a heart of gold, giving all of his money to people in need (and subsequently falling for a lot of scams…) I want to hug him so badly, especially after the end of the ‘Parade of Providence’ event T^T I need more canon content with him, he seems like such a creative and pleasant person to be around!

Lisa: She reminds me so much of myself IRL, lazy and turning everything into an innuendo 🤣 We also look somewhat similar; tall with long, brown, wavy hair. Can I be a librarian witch, too?

Razor: Another son, little wolf boy, I love him so much T_T Please never grow up and learn how to speak properly.

Thoma: He seems like he’d be such a good friend, the kind to instantly notice if something is wrong and ask what he can do to make it better. But I can’t help but wonder how many people do the same for him… Also, he’s an animal lover, so that’s a huge bonus.

Tighnari: I want to pull his ears so badly! Not hard or anything, but I wanna see how flexible they are. Also, catch me calling him ‘ya big Valuka’ every time he does something I don’t agree with. I wanna run a plant nursery with him.

(To be completely honest, I kinda disliked Tighnari before I really got to know his character. I tested him when he was released and found his voice lines so boring. ‘One with the forest! Let’s nip it in the bud! I hear EVERYTHING!’ Big whoop. The thing is that the voice lines he uses in combat do not portray his delightful snarkiness, I had to wait for that until I progressed enough in the story for him to appear. Then he was added to my ever-growing pile of faves)

Xiangling: Yet another adoptee. I love her battle quotes about how she wants to eat the monsters and her ‘Ow! My dinner is attacking me!!’ And her summon is too cute! Just… please don’t make me eat her experimental dishes T_T

I could see him as the pet owner that takes their dogs on walks and such, but honestly, if he's allergic to cats he's probably allergic to other animals too, at least some with a lot of hair! Although I feel like he'd get one of those big dogs and he'd go on runs with it all the time. The dog would be like the ones that are mostly thought of as super dangerous or aggressive but it turns out they're a sweetheart. Either that or a poodle 🐩💀 (but like I said, he's probably allergic to animals with lots of hair.)

Jihyun would be pretty good as a pet owner but honestly he'd be super nervous at everything at first. Welcome to the Jihyun apologizing to his pet show akdjdn. But would we trust him with a pet? He wasn't really able to take care of two teenage boys -although it was mostly because he was in a toxic relationship 💀

When he has his sight problems he could totally get those helper dogs? (Forgot what they're called I'm sorry T_T)

He'd probably get a more chill pet tho, maybe a cat (he probably likes them a lot too! Also they're pretty calming.) So he could have like the guide dog and a small kitty too!

And we all know he'd die for his dog. It's the only one he can trust ajdhdbdbd

He'd be like the bad boys that walk around with their dog everywhere growling at people (not just the dog, the two of them)

And "Spike" would be so well taken care of. Believers have to start doing draws to see who feeds the monster dog that always bites them PFTTT

The dog would also dffinetly know how to fight. It'd be cute if the only person he likes appart from Saeran tho is MC hehe

AND you cannot change my mind in this, ever since Saeran got "Dark Knight" (I'm experimenting with the dog names pfft) he's shown him a picture of Saeyoung and taught him to absolutely hate his guts, so Seven, buddy, maybe don't get to close to them lol

AND the backstory for this dog is that Saeran found him under some bushes, hurt, and the dog reminded him of when he was younger, so he took him in and that's how the doggie came to be :3

Idk, he'd also get the normal-ish animals, like a bunny or a cat (he'd like how calming they are.)

When Yuki’s stand was revealed, I looked out for symbolism obviously XD I found some interesting facts, which I wanted to share with you. Though is more about folklore than symbolism per se... Anyway, it is interesting, because of how rabbit is connected to almost all seasons and it kind of makes sense why Gusari choose it.

To be honest, my first thoughts of rabbits and Asia was about Idol MV, which turned out to be pretty close guess since Japan has similar legend xD

The Moon Rabbit is also called the “Jade Rabbit.” It lives on the moon, and is said to always be pounding something in a mortar. This legend comes from markings on the moon that look like a rabbit standing over a mortar, similar to the “Man on the Moon” in the West. People in East Asia have long seen the Moon Rabbit as a symbol for the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is a celebration of the full moon and the fall harvest. [...] Like the Easter Bunny in the west, the Moon Rabbit legend may be tied to the use of rabbits as ancient symbols of fertility, new life, and prosperity, because of their prolific ability to reproduce.

It is kind of interesting how it ties up with moon symbolism, which often associated with cycle of death and rebirth. Sometimes it is connected with creativity too, which you know is quite significant especially that both Yuki and Ugetsu (whose name translates into rainy moon) are so much dedicated to the music.

Whole story of how rabbit (or is some version hare) ended up living on the moon is intriguing too:

The hare, a monkey, an otter, and a jackal (or fox, in the Japanese versions of this tale), vow to do acts of charity on the day of the full moon. They had already gathered food, each to their liking. When they met a poor man begging for food the monkey, otter, and jackal give him the food they had gotten for themselves. But since the hare only has grass, he has nothing appropriate to give. So he throws his body on the man’s fire so that the man can eat him. The man reveals that he is the deity Sakra and prevents the hare from being burned by the fire. Then he takes him to live on the moon for eternity so that his selflessness can be witnessed by the world. In Japan this is the Jeweled Hare or the Jade Hare and has the symbolic meanings of charity and longevity.

It is quite intense and it has all-or-nothing attitude. Commitment to the death... it is too quite like Yuki unfortunately T_T

What’s more, there is connection to spring and winter as well:

In Korea and Japan he [moon hare] pounds sweet rice to make mochi treats. This gives the hare an association with the New Year, when eating mochi has a special place in the festivities. In the Asian calendar this was in early February, and marked the end of winter. But when Japan adopted the Gregorian calendar in 1873, the New Year moved into mid-winter. So the hare has an association with the passing of winter and the hope of spring from its earlier association with the Asian New Year.

In the case you don’t know - Mafuyu’s name means Midwinter.

It is a bit funny that moon rabbit is associated with all seasons except summer - it is like summer is only for Ritsuka XD Besides, I like that part about spring – after all, for Mafuyu meeting Yuki was like start of new life, so it suits too.

WWE Royal Rumble 2021 - Initial Thoughts

I know I’m late, but employment is still a thing, and I had to prioritize that over an all-nighter, but it’s time for the Royal Rumble, one of the more exciting shows of WWE’s schedule, so let’s get on with it!

Spoilers for Royal Rumble, you have been Warned

I might not invest too much in kickoff matches but the Women’s Tag Match was not a good time

It was fine before the end, but who the hell decided that Charlotte should control 90% of the champions’ offense and have the hot tag!? Asuka is the RAW WOMEN’S CHAMPION, not Charlotte. After the tag Asuka literally had one spot and she was dead, completely taken out of the match for *checks notes* being thrown over the Announcer’s Table...you know that thing several wrestlers come back from easily.

The finish was just too much too, Ric distraction didn’t work, Lacey distraction didn’t work, Kirufuda Clutch didn’t work but then the brass knuckles did. Too much.

And why TF are we putting titles back on Nia!? We should’ve just given the titles to the Riotts, or the winner of the Women’s Dusty Classic. It also cuts me deep that Asuka and Shayna are treated this way, even as champion Asuka is a side character to Charlotte T_T

Main show though and I don’t like the package and interviews between entrances

Drew vs Goldberg was just...meaningless.

It was cringy enough that Cole had to spout drivel to make 60 year old Goldberg seem strong but to have Drew be ‘injured’ by a barricade spear - something much more tired wrestlers have and will get back up from in less time and continue a longer match - was daft. Also saying that Goldberg’s spear or jackhammer is the best move of all WWE is stupid, it was a WCW thing

Thank God Drew Won, but the post-match does remind you of the meaningless circumstances this feud came about. Suddenly Goldberg is okay with Drew’s same manners of respect

I mean, Carmella’s entrance and gear is cool, but do you think it eats at Corey a little that Carmella’s ‘behind the curtain’ bit is a tad...red light district?

Sasha’s promo didn’t hit for me unfortunately

Reginald didn’t deserve to be ejected for that! He caught Sasha and get beaten up for it

Jesus Carmella! Sasha got barely any of that dive

Screeching and faffing aside, Carmella got a good showing...I do hate quick tap outs in title matches though

Sami cuts a good promo, but his content wasn’t exactly the best. New Day are hardly the management’s faves, it’s taken this long for E to get a singles run, Fans literally had to Yes Movement their way into giving Kofi the world title.

New Day’s Brodie gear was good though

I get that the narrative is that Charlotte has beaten both Bianca and Rhea before, but to hang against both of them after already being in a match and hanging on from two apron attacks was daft. Stop making her super strong, she’s mega talented yes but giving her the Brock Lesnar energy does her no favours

That close call though with Rhea and Bianca was great, need more spots of two wrestlers about to be eliminated at the same time

The final bit of chain wrestling too was great, that’s what you need at the final part of a rumble, the mini-match

I had Rhea as my win prediction but am more than happy for Bianca, who was my second choice. Winning at No. 3 is great and her emotional promo just gets her more over. Bianca vs Sasha’s gonna be wild too

Overall the Women’s Rumble was good, most of the women got shine and there were a few mini stories too, do wish that more time was given to some women and that Sonya was in the rumble but the returns were good and most of the eliminations got me good

Miz talking about guaranteeing a championship run like he didn’t lose the last cash-in and didn’t have a chance to cash in previously this night when Drew was ‘reeling’ from the barricade spear.

I reiterate that I wish Sonya was in the rumble, but do like her endorsement of Bianca

It was a decent rumble, in hindsight you could tell Edge was winning given how they put express focus on Michaels winning at number on in the stat attack, Edge being face in peril for the first 10 entrants and Cole reminding us how long Edge has been in there

I don’t at all hate the end result, though I do question whether it was the best choice in the long run. Edge had his rumble win returning from injury already and throwing more legends at Drew does imply a heavy lack of depth in the current roster. Edge didn’t really need the win, but I’m not disappointed in him winning

The Men’s Rumble itself wasn’t as good as the women’s I don’t think, a lot of favourites of mine were unceremoniously dumped out quickly, any layered storytelling didn’t get enough time and it did feel a little by the numbers, almost a microcosm of modern WWE booking

Overall it was still a decent PPV, happy with the winners of the rumbles and that’s mostly all we need from a Royal Rumble. The Road to Wrestlemania starts here

This season has been consistently knocking it out of the park! I’m a SLUT for backstory episodes, so I enjoyed this one a lot. I loved seeing Gyro when he had hope and faith in the world. It SUCKS that Akita took that away from him. Hopefully Gyro will see things slightly less cynical now. Fenton was a dweeb the whole episode and I love him for it. Boyd is SO SWEET AND PRECIOUS and in NO WAY deserved the treatment he got. I have a feeling there is more to Boyd’s creation/Dr.Akita that we’ll get later on. Huey was ADORABLE this episode. It’s really sweet to see him hangout with someone who gets him. Everyone deserves to have at least one friend like that. The fight scene was GORGEOUS! SO FLUID! I really loved this one and I hope we get more Team Science episodes because these characters play really well off each other.
