I love the fact that there are no real coincidences in Evillious at any point in the story—at least, as far as I know.

So far, everything that's happened in the series can be traced back to something, be it in the past or in the future. Like how the disaster that was the Reign of Evil started because of Rin getting possessed by a demon, which in turn was planned by Rin's mom's jealous friend who happens to be empress dowager of another kingdom. Or how Hänsel and Gretel murdered of their adoptive parents, which Meta—the twins' birth mother—viewed as karma on Eve for taking her children and murdering her; too bad for Meta, the latter was her karma for murdering Eve's father. There's also Banica's gluttony was the result of her abusive childhood, which was caused her parents being infected by a disease that manifests as gluttony, which happened to be a scheme by a wicked witch to cause disaster. Oh, and let's not forget how Kayo murdered an entire family because she was jealous they were alive and whole but hers wasn't, but then again she wouldn't have murdered Kai's family if he didn't kill hers first, so that one's on Kai for poor decisions made (racism is a choice, not a given, fyi).

Plus, fun fact: every single contractor isn't innocent of their Sin—they were already predisposed to it from the start.

Cherubim Venomania, aka “Sateriasis,” was hungry for love. Since “lust” in its basest form is desire, and hunger is desire for something you don't have or are lacking in, this makes Cherubim prime pickings for the Demon of Lust.

Karchess Crim is mad at Duke Venomania for kidnapping his lover. Of course he'd contract Wrath.

Banica Conchita was—and still is—a glutton. That it was a result of her childhood makes no difference. Still a glutton.

Riliane Lucifen D'Autriche was selfish, even before her possession. She was selfish, so she didn't give her food to Banica. That left her open to possession by the demon, nevermind the throwaway fact that Banica couldn't touch Alexiel. And later on, with the removal of her twin from her memory, she only grew more selfish and alone, couple that with her pride as a royal and the ideal she has of her royal mother... that's more than enough for Marie to feed on. Notably, as one of the few contractors to break their contracts, she still retains her selfishness, though she isn't as arrogant as she was during her days as a contractor.

Clarith was justifiably angry at Rin for killing her first and closest friend. Simple yet powerful enough for Seth (or was it Adam who tricked her?) to feed on.

I don't really know about Ney Phatipe (or Marlon). For one, there's her past with Banica, but there's also her identity as Gretel to consider. Banica herself stated that she needs Gretel's soul to become Master of the Graveyard. Apart from that, nada.

Kyle Marlon is kind of a sad case. For one, his “love” for Ms. Margaret and Michaela—the same love which the Demon of Lust fed on—could be attributed to their resemblance to Eve, what with Banica calling him the “Soul of Adam” of his era. The Demon of Pride on the other hand fed on his insecurities and his lack of control over his own life, blinding him to his own failings and instead making him focus on what he believed to be right. No wonder both demons called him “boring”.

Isabel Ismael, the original Seventh Magician, wanted power. She didn't have enough magic power to be Julia's apprentice, so instead she got the Venom Sword.

Lemy—same reasons as Ney.

Gumilia and Seth's contract is quite unique, in that it's a contract made out of necessity. They're also former colleagues. No more, no less.

Gallerian Marlon needed money to cure his “daughter”. To that end, he contracted with Adam—the stand-in for the true Demon of Greed, because he got absorbed by Ma.

Nemesis Sudou had the potential, since she already had malice inside her as a reincarnation of Levia. The contract was only formalized when she failed to complete her murder-suicide with Nyoze.

Eve Moonlit's incarnations, Kayo Sudou, and Prim Rogzé don't count. None of them actually contracted with demons, as far as the novels are concerned. Eve can't make contracts so she instead has her version of reincarnation. Kayo's envy magic comes from being the literal daughter of Envy. Prim manipulated the other demons' powers through Eve.

Hear me out guys…Story of Evil Royale High AU 👑

I’m mostly making this to sadly reminisce about Royale High. When I played the game today, I joined the classic campus and the chat was DEAD silent. Like, I remember the old days where people would actually roleplay there 😭 Anyways, let me tell you what this AU is all about, and feel free to comment your headcanons or any fancy names for this AU.

King Arth was the founder and principal of Royale High before he passed away from an illness. His wife, Queen Anne, took on his role as principal and enrolled her two children, Rilliane and Alexiel into Royale High once they turned 13. A year later, she passed away from an illness as well. The PTA had a huge debate on which child should become the new principal, and they eventually agreed on pulling both Rilliane and Alexiel out of classes to become co-principals. Doesn’t that sound cool? Anyways, Alexiel takes his role as a co-principal very seriously and makes sure to help guide his peers towards the right path, but he makes sure to study for a few hours at night to keep his mind sharp. Rilliane, on the other hand, abuses her power and is having fun while doing so. When Queen Anne was the principal, she’d throw school balls on very special occasions, but Rilliane throws school balls every single night since she’s a party animal. During the ball, she holds a nightly competition on who the best Supreme Royalty (basically Prom King and Queen) is based on looks, and she rigs the votes so her and Alexiel win every single time.

Clarith enrolled herself into Royale High so she can earn diamonds in order to afford medication for her sick mother back at her poor village. She liked to keep a safe distance from everyone else, because she was going to leave Royale High once she graduated, and nobody there really seemed to like her anyway. One day, she meets Michaela, the most popular girl at Royale High and Rilliane’s friend. Alexiel has a crush on her. Michaela befriends Clarith and they slowly fall in love through silly hijinks and shenanigans.

In this AU, Kyle is 16 years old and is dating Rilliane because of his mother, Prim, who arranged a marriage between them after graduation. Kyle doesn’t love Rilliane, but he does like her. They act more like best friends rather than partners, and everything is swell. Kyle also has a crush on Michaela, but he doesn’t tell Rilliane because he doesn’t want to hurt her feelings. Elluka Clockworker, Mariam, Leonhart, and Prim Marlon are the teachers at Royale High. They all have to listen to Rilliane and she bends them to her will. Leonhart is a friendly teacher and a loving father to his daughter, Germaine. Germaine is a tomboy who’s friends with Alexiel and loves stealing his old uniform to wear for herself. Since there aren’t enough adults to teach students, a few students actually volunteered to help educate their peers. Ney Marlon and Chartette Langley, two seniors reenrolled themselves as teachers instead of students, which is really neat! That means they don’t get to do any homework for the rest of their time here :D

i think just like allen, she was adopted by leonhart and announced dead. unlike allen, she was verbally against leaving and had to be taken away pretty much by force. she sulked and was quite a troublesome child for some time before meeting chartette

i didn't think about the brainstormed roleswap au erin that deeply, so i'll proceed to talk about the lucifenswap erin more deeply into her time as an avadonia before the palace

erin didn't get along with germaine and they more often than not quarelled, much to leonhart's chagrin. erin got along better with chartette despite having some initial disdain towards her bc chartette is poor, but she warmed up quickly and came to consider her as one of her closest friends. saving chartette from the bandits was the first time erin and germaine worked together, and even though erin insisted that it didn't mean anything, her feelings for germaine changed overtime and by the time she goes to the palace she genuinely considers germaine her sister - though she's still a massive tsundere about it.

btw germaine teaches erin swordplay in secret bc leonhart refuses to teach them both but they're sneaky girls hehe (if you were to compare erin to allen, erin is clumsier on handling a blade due to impatience and lack of proper lessons, but faster on her feet and thus harder to hit)

upon returning to the palace, her first instinct is telling alexiel that they're twins but hesitates once she's formally introduced to him and notices how different he is, so much that she questions if that boy is truly her brother. she's driven to protect him not only because he's her brother but because she feels guilty over leaving the palace

as a maid, she's very open and honest on her dissatisfactions and verbally complains about things when she feels like it rather than keeping it to herself. she's more subtle when alexiel is around, but it doesn't mean much anyways, only that she doesn't yell at him. despite all changes in personality that alexiel went through, erin realizes that his body language is nearly identical and takes her time to relearn and refresh her memory on it, thus being one of the few people who can tell alexiel's emotions very accurately

Angel Sanctuary re-read Volume 1

Okay, yesterday I finished up volume 1, so let's summarize.

The manga starts with these two demons (ogres to be precise) named Kurai and Arakune stealing the body of the angel Alexiel. However, it is only her body, her soul has been reborn in Assiah (Earth), so they move there to search for the human who houses it.

We then get introduced to our protagonist Setsuna beating up some guys while his best friend Kira just watches. However, once blood is flowing, he is getting super duper tired and can't fight anymore. The fight gets broken up when his sister Sara appears and gets mad at him.

We learn that their parents are divorced. Sara lives with her mom and Setsuna with their dad and they meet once a month.

However, Setsuna has a secret. Several to be precise, but he is only aware of one of them.

He is in mad and utter love with his own sister.

Sara brought her friend Ruri, but Setsuna is mean to her and she leaves. Meanwhile, Kurai and Arakune watch an angel (a really high ranking one) doing dubious stuff, giving computer games to teenagers. Ruri also gets one which kickstarts the plot.

Anyway, Ruri starts this game and what would be a really big red flag is her jsut going "Oh, that is completely normal" when the voice of an angel talks to her. Ruri gets a lot bolder with the encouragement of said "angel" and tries to get Sara to wingman her to get close to Setsuna.

In the meantime, Kurai and Arakune think that they found Alexiel in Setsuna (spoilers, they are right). Kurai attacks him with magic in an attempt to see if Setsuna has powers. Well, he has, but the magic attack destroys a window and Setsuna is only protecting Sara, meaning that Ruri gets badly hurt and loses her eyesight.

More time for Setsuna to angst about his attraction to his own sister while Kurai thinks he has found Alexiel and is overjoyed, but Setsuna isn't aware of anything and tells them to get lost. Well then…

Cut back to Ruri who is furious about losing her eye sight and blames Sara for it. Well, Sara goes to her and wants to talk to her, but then all shit breaks lose. Do you remember the angel that handed out the video games? He is called Katan and his plan was to get the life force of teenagers to revive his master.

Setsuna follows Sara to Ruri's place and goes into her room to talk with her, but during that time, Katan's plan already happened and the main villain of the series is introduced, Rosiel. Setsuna sees him, stutters his name, confused why he knows it and Rosiel does recognize Setsuna as Alexial right away, because they are twins. And oh boy, does he hate Alexiel because she sealed him away in the first place.

Poor Ruri is now super fucking dead and Rosiel takes on her appearance to deceive everyone, even Setsuna, who thinks what he saw might not have been real. Well, what happens next? Katan wants Rosiel to go back to heaven to help with the war, but Rosiel is super petty and egoistical and wants to kill Alexiel (Setsuna) first.

Also did I mention that Katan is like super gay for Rosiel?! Woah, that is some devotion!

There are no needs for computer games anymore, so Rosiel simply forces his cells into some rowdy and let them kidnap Sara, showing up there in the form of Ruri. Setsuna appears and then the teenager turns into a golem, nearly killing Setsuna.

Kurai and Arakune are watching, confused why Setsuna doesn't use his powers. Then, when Setsuna is almost done for, he summons an angel named Adam Kadamon who can use the magic of time and just heals Setsuna and drives the bullies and the monster off. Huh, yeah, that is the proof that is needed that Setsuna really is Alexiel, but he still can't remember anything.

Instead, the story shifts on him and Sara. She's unconscious and he brings her home and well… what is Setsuna doing? Going home and trying to forget about the attraction to his sister? Noooo, he is KISSING her while asleep and his mom sees that.

Of course she's upset and says all kinds of awful stuff to Setsuna. Sara has woken up in the meantime and hears it and then gets out and says that she actually reciprocates Setsuna's feelings!

Holy shit, both of the siblings have the hots for each other. Setsuna's mom begs him to say that he was just playing with Sara and in order to protect Sara, Setsuna decides to say vile things to her, the opposite of what he feels. We get treated to a scene where his feelings are spelled out in his thoughts while his words say nothing but painful things. And then he leaves, wallowing in self pity about that he fell in love with his sister, asking his best friend if he will get to hell now.

Well, we are almost done with the volume, so what happens next? Kurai's backstory. We learn that Kurai is not a boy, but a girl and her kingdom was destroyed by angels. It was Alexiel who taught her to fight and who helped her out. Kurai is idolizing Alexiel a lot. During this part we also learn that Alexial said that she would prefer to be reborn as a man.

Then we cut to Kira who confronts Kurai and Arakune, seeming to know more than he should know. Arakune kills him, but that isn't permament… the guy just comes back to life and we are left with the mystery of his existence for a future volume…

Meanwhile, the author is talking about how she always writes about "forbidden" love and thirsts for her own characters ("Corrupt me, Rosiel-sama")

Sidenote, the manga is from the 90ies, so some jokes aged very poorly, mostly the jokes around Arakune, Kurai's cousin. It is never clear if Arakune is a trans woman, a drag queen or a crossdresser, but it seems to be the first and well, there are quite a few slurs said to Arakune and at least my version normally use he/him pronouns.

Rating some of the moms of the Evillious Chronicles! These are just my opinions, of course, and I would love to hear others. I might make a part 2. So:

Rahab Barisol

Good mom to Kayo, not so much with Levia. Eh, she's okay. Not the best or worst mom in this list or in EC as a whole. 5/10

Eve Moonlit

Lost her twins and took someone else's by accident. However, she cared and loved for Hansel and Gretel like they were her own. Shame she abandoned them to starve in the forest but it is shown she was filled with regret over the decision. I think the story may have gone a different route if she hadn't abandoned Hansel and Gretel. 8/10

Meta Salmhofer

The ultimate mama bear! *gets shot* Anyways, took her kids away so they wouldn't suffer a fate like hers or worse. Died trying to get them from Eve. Meta is really something. Hansel and Gretel were happy with her and never truly got over her, as seen with their attachment to Banica. 10/10

Irina Clockworker/Clockworker Doll/Master of the Court/Julia Aberlard/Maria Moonlit

Irina has, according to canon, had at least 7 kids: Adam and Eve (Maria), her unborn children (Irina), Lemy (Julia), and NeoAdam and NeoEve (MOTC/CD). Despite her wanting to spread evil, she was actually a very good mom. She loved Lemy and stopped the Battle of Merrigold to cry for him. She always wanted to have kids. As Maria, she was denied her kids so she couldn't raise them and, as Irina, she lost her children during the Leviantha Catastrophe. At least her wish was granted as MOTC and she had NeoAdam and NeoEve. 10/10

Lukana Octo

Had an unnamed daughter with Sateriasis/Cherubim and raised her with Lilien and Rajih. I really want to know more how that turned out. 9.5/10

Maylis Beelzenia

Had an unnamed baby that she gave away after the royal family refused the child. Strong woman but it's a shame she didn't raise her baby. However, she did give her child to a capable couple that could raise her child right. Outstanding. 9/10

Banica Conchita

What a woman! Slowly dying because of the poison Carlos had put on their food, she was told eating her child would cure her. Does she do it? Hell no! She EATS HERSELF before daring to eat her own child. No one is as hardcore as that! 10/10!

Anne Lucifen d'Autriche

The mom of Alexiel/Allen and Riliane. She was a great mom to the twins, especially to Riliane. It sucks that she couldn't raise Allen but her decision to keep him safe by keeping him away from her did save his life (until his execution, of course). It probably broke her heart to send her son away after losing her husband but Anne didn't let that break her and raised Riliane. Anne was so great a mother and queen that Riliane decided to honor her by not taking the queen title until she was of age. 9.5/10

Prim Marlon

Here we are, the evil queen mom. Where do we begin? How she crushed Kyle's dreams for her benefit and got him possessed later in life? Or the horrible treatment of Ney as a whole? Cause man, Ney's treatment was horrible. Prim sees her children as tools to be used. I'm not even gonna touch on how she even conceived Ney because that's horrible (Poor Arth). So, evil mom. 0/10

Ma

YIKES. Messed up mom! The absolute worse! She birthed them just to pass on the Levia soul she didn't want to them! She abandons her kids (with Nemesis getting the worse of it cause she was isolated and driven mad), slept with one of them (Gallerian) and had a child (Nemesis). She also used her kids for her own selfish purposes, such as making Gallerian collect the vessels of sin for her. Poor Gallerian and Nemesis. Special mention goes out to poor Lilith. She's not her child but damn, did she make poor Lilith suffer. -10/10

The blonde elf walked toward the table with a tray. She placed it on the table and removed the teapot and cups, along with pastries and cookies. "We haven't had this in a long time, my dearest. In fact, I haven't seen you around much. Aelle asks for you on occasion." Alexielle served their tea and sat across Safrona, or rather, Anna, as Alexielle continued to call her, regardless of constantly being corrected. She sat back in the chair and smiled at her friend. "How is life treating you?"

Smiles had been hard to come by of late for ‘Anna’, but with the presentation of pastries and the caring tones of the familiar beauty that was Alexiel, the professional mask gradually melted away. “It has been a while, hasn’t it?” she answered with a delicate warmth that called back to older times. “I’m glad Aelle still asks after me.” A gentle laugh came, just under a haunt of breath. “I wonder what name she calls me. Poor thing must be confused at times the way you go on.” She made no attempt to correct her long-time friend now, knowing it would be no use. There was a quiet comfort she took in such recognition. Like a revised tome treasured for the words it held no matter how the cover changed. She was more than the short story of the Courier here.

Yet the question of ‘life’ stole the warmth of her smile, just a touch. “Life is…chaos, really. Sometimes I feel I am going mad since the Legion’s return. I’m…restless. Disturbed, Lexi.” An exhale came as she ran lacy fingers down her braid, only to pass it behind her shoulder. Words tumbled from her under a murmur. “The spells we need to fight them require deeper sources to fuel them…stronger souls. The easiest source to draw from of course are the demons themselves, but…” A shake of her head as she indulged herself with the crispy softness of a freshly baked strawberry strudel. “Not…the healthiest way to exist, as you can imagine..”

Closing her eyes, she took up a small silence to enjoy the bite of real, fresh food. The indulgent smile curled at her lips, shaking her head with a little laugh. “Oh, this is heaven. You know me too well, Lexi. I’m glad you stole me away from the madness, really.”

In your FNAF AU, do you have any "morally gray" characters? If so, who are they? And what's the worst thing they have ever done? If you don't mind me asking, of course!

Oh, I don’t mind at all! I love these kinds of questions.

I think I do actually! So far, one of the morally gray characters I have was Alexiel Reynard, the “past life” of Foxy/Felix and an actual pirate captain during this world’s medieval times. He’s a hybrid of a fox and a human, more in the human side in appearance. His past is a touchy subject and he doesn’t want to talk about it. Anyone who knew him first hand, mostly the crew, can guess that it’s the root of the reason why he became, more of accepted to be, a pirate in the first place. (I’ll explain sooner or later about the quotation marks on past life and also I have to review some of the characters lol)

The worst things he have done was killing people and raiding quite a few villages/ports. More specifically, human people and villages. Though, majority of those kinds of people are Hybrid Slave Sellers/Owners but it didn’t changed the fact that he killed a lot of people, innocent or not, and leaving families poor.

Sadly, it all goes horribly wrong when poor Kankuro gets his arse handed to him by Sasori, and Sakura barely manages to save him.. She tries to keep Setsuna safe, in the hopes that he will fulfil the promise for her, but only Alexiel is a match for Rosiel.
