Took a 7 hour drive from #NYC to upstate New York and stopped in Fairport, New York, a little town best known as the crown jewel of the #ErieCanal! Such a great town filled with lots of quirks like the #FairportLiftBridge, built in 1913-1914 by the #LackawannaBridgeCompany and cost New York State $75K to build. This bridge is famously constructed with many irregularities! So happy it is still standing😳. At the foot of the bridge lies the Erie Canal that runs from Albany, NY to Buffalo, NY. Had the best pressed sandwich 🥪 (prosciutto & mozzarella) and vitamin C rejuvenating juice (in mason jar) at #FairPourCafe.
