Headcanons

Nimona: little baby horns on head to represent her being dragon or part dragon. Her cutie mark stays no matter which form she takes. The wings are shapeshifted on. Nimona has some form of chaos magic (like Discord or Pinkie.)

Ballister: In my head, he’s an Earth Pony. While he has the personality of a unicorn, I believe earth ponies would be the “commoners” of this world making it even more unbelievable that an simple earth pony that can’t fly or do magic is appointed knighthood. I believe when he got his cutie mark (a sword) the Queen was present which is why she understood his destiny as a knight and decided to choose him personally. However, he often gets teased by the other knights, they like to crack jokes implying Ballister’s true calling is making the swords for them since earth ponies are stereotyped as laborers.
