The peace before the calamity.

Even for miners, they were quite small in frame, that meant they normally watched the mouth of whatever opening they were assigned to. Not that they didnt' mine, just that they were more useful alive and doing not much instead of getting crushed by the closing walls.

Hopper, the mining supervisor of the sect, is unlike many others of his caste. For starters, he's old and he makes sure to cover for the miners if they're forced more work onto them, instead supplying his own Energon for the crates out of his own pocket. Shanix and whatever else credits needed aren't easy to come by, but he'd do anything for them. He treats them like his own sparklings, stemming from the fact he had adopted two, both working at the Iacon Parts Depo.
