The sexism that bsd has Atsushi see Yosano face in the beginning of the series (when Yosano takes Atsushi shopping and Kyouka is introduced) is actually genius. It lets Asagiri blend together both irl Yosano and bsd Yosano, as irl Yosano was a feminist.
Also rereading this part after knowing her backstory is absolutely gut-wrenching because her anger at Kajii for not understanding the value of life is AHHHHHHHHH The foreshadowing for her goes so fucking hard.
and uh this panel actually took me out

I’d love to see hotch finding out that Spencer and his sister have told Each other they love each other, like he realizes holy shit this is serious, yk?
”No, I’m okay.”
Aaron wonders who’s to blame for the way you talk, your shared father or himself. You aren’t quite as expressionless as Aaron’s told he is, and you’re nothing like your father, a tense, angry man, but it's possible you learned to be as calm as possible. Nothing unnecessary can be read from your tone. No snark, no attitude.
So you sound like you’re just making polite conversation on the phone at first, and when your voice softens, Aaron’s too nosy to walk away.
“Yeah? That’s an interesting one. You’ve been learning fun facts for me. No, all your facts are fun. I wasn’t lying,” —you laugh, giggly and caught— “I like when you tell me stuff. You know everything there is to know about everything.”
You’re sitting on the porch swing with your legs crossed, posture terribly bent, phone held to your ear. Aaron and Jack had been tending to the flower beds around the side of the house, but Jack spotted a paper kite butterfly and wandered off to find it while Aaron finished watering.
He knows you’re telling the truth. Aaron’s watched you and Spencer together many times now, and he knows you truly enjoy one another’s company. It’s why you’ve made a good couple. It’s why Spencer comes to work each day with a sense of settlement, and why you’ve calmed down some. There’s security in things. Still, Aaron knows how fickle younger relationships can be—
“I love you.” He stands straight. He frowns. You make a humming sound. “I love you,” you say again, like Spencer’s heard you wrong. “Yeah. Yeah, I love you more… I miss you today. I’m fine, just–” You stand up, the porch swing creaking. “Maybe I can come over? After dinner, it’ll be late, I just want to see you. Is that– Okay, good.”
You walk to the end of the wrap around porch, just a foot from Aaron where he’s hiding in the shadow of the side of the house. He can hear Spencer’s voice now, too.
“I don’t know why you’re asking me like I won’t say yes! Please come over, I begged you to come over yesterday!”
“Don’t make me feel guilty,” you say, a loving murmur.
“I’m not trying to do that! Just, you tell me you love me and then we don’t see each other for two days, which is fine, it’s not that you can’t be busy, but try and see it from my point of view.”
“What’s gotten into you?” you ask.
“Y/N, I love you. And you love me, and I was hoping you’d let me earn it by taking you out or something. You just ran away.”
Aaron breathes out, alerting you to his presence accidentally. You turn on the porch with an incredible embarrassment in your screwed lips, glaring at him, and almost dropping the phone in your hurry to see the screen.
“Spencer, I gotta go. Aaron’s being a creep.”
“What?”
“I’ll call you back.”
“Uh, okay? Is everything–”
You click the phone off and squeeze it in your hand. “Eavesdrop much?”
“I’m very sorry. But in my defence, I’m watering the flowers.”
“You’re so embarrassing.”
“I’m embarrassing? What did I do?”
“That was a private conversation.”
“I didn’t hear anything.”
You know he’s lying in the same way he knows you’re not as angry as you wish you were. You are embarrassed, though.
“I had no idea you and Spencer were that serious,” he says mildly.
You drape your arms over the porch railings. “Well, it is, I think. It’s serious for me. Does he– d’you think he’s serious?”
“As a heart attack.”
You bite your cheek. He can see you doing it, see the concern in your eyes. “I didn’t mean to say it out loud. I wasn’t sure I wanted him to know, but he’s been so nice about it.”
“Nice isn’t the right word.” You talk about love like you’ve confessed to something awful. It’s love. “You should let him take you to dinner. Then you should tell me where you went and I’ll work out if he deserves you or not.”
“That’s not funny.”
Aaron smiles as you turn away, seemingly to call Spencer again and make arrangements. It was funny, and you’ll think so too once you forget he was being a busybody.

ᰔ. wrong package : mike schmidt — suggestive warning !! + ft. secondhand embarrassment.
Tumblr media
next door neighbor mike who randomly appears in front of your doorstep, an unusual flushed look in his tired features. neither of you have been formally acquainted, if you don’t count the forced awkward exchanges when getting the mail outside.
although, mike was good looking despite his unkempt demeanor — the remnant memories of his stiff politeness and husk voice had you fawning over him for as long as you were made aware of his presence. but it seems like he’d rather get to work or rest at home than getting to know any of his neighbors.
but now, he stands in front of you shifting one foot over the other — his wavering eyes settling onto the torn box in his grasp rather than your face. there was a bob to his throat, swallowing down on his thickening saliva in anticipation.
“uh sorry to bother you, but i’ve actually gotten your package on accident and ummm … i opened it.” his fumbling words shot through his lips like he’s in a rush, but you still manage to make his statement coherent.
he directs your curious eyes over the beaten package and immediately, your polite smile turned into a silent scream. the rabbit vibrator that you ordered online was hastily covered in some old newspaper — what mike probably did beforehand out respect of your already invaded privacy. the hot pink color and obnoxious packaging taunting you. your name was bold and printed on the delivery sticker, sparing you no excuses for your erotic purchase.
your dilated pupils and now flushed complexion made mike feel apologetic, yet somewhat amused. his encounters with you were a rarity, but he made sure to remember those moments. like when you would focus on reading the mail beside the shared mailbox, the way your face looked so cute carefully squinting and mumbling each word. or even that time you mistaken his sister as his daughter, the same dust of pink settled onto your cheeks like it did now.
mike formed an impression that you’re put together and tooth achingly innocent, but after accidentally opening your package — his superficial thoughts about you has gone down south and into the depths of a more lustrous head space.
how would you look like using it? what would you sound like? crude and carnal ideas spilling over the mental image of your face, his senses clouded with this new epiphany.
he carefully hovers his hand over yours and guides them with a phantom touch, placing the package gently in your stiffened grasp. the furrow in your brows and lack of response made him worried you might pass out — but then you began to sputter a shy “thank you”, your quivering eyes never meeting his. it was a nice look, he couldn’t deny it.
“i won’t tell, promise.” his previous nervous manner completely melted away as he teases you for a bit, his pointer finger pressed against his friendly smile — like it could somehow permanently seal his lips from exposing your status on your sex life.
you nodded, not trusting yourself to speak — not when you heart feels like it’s about to explode while your body temperature is fighting between haunting chills or overwhelming heat. the gaze in his eyes was much more darker and relaxed than before. weirdly enough, you trust him like you’ve known him your whole life. mike gives you a friendly farewell before he makes his way back into his house.
slowly shutting the door with a solid click, you immediately pathetically fall to your knees and shriek in absolute horror — the box crashing down with you and revealing the one thing that made this rare exchange so humiliating, embarrassment settling so thick in your core. your hot neighbor knowing you’re sexually active? currently getting off to a dingy sex toy? you cannot go back outside again, not if you’re going to possibly see him. hell, you cannot even use the toy without thinking of mike. it’s like he cursed it with some spell, the whispers of his name draw closer each passing second whenever you gaze at the toy.
his ears perk at the bloodcurdling scream that pierced through your closed windows — one so loud and dramatic, it sounded like an active crime scene. he couldn’t help but helplessly laugh into his baggy sleeves, prickles of tears in the corners of his eyes. it’s been awhile since he’s laughed like that, it was needed. returning back home felt less eventful, your embarrassment still making him chuckle under his breath and somewhat eager to see it on you again.
of course, there’s no shame of getting yourself off, but if you needed a helping hand — mike would gladly come over and do his due diligence to be the perfect neighbor. with his new image of you carved into his mind and colorful second impression of you, maybe it’s time for him to make a more formal introduction of himself, once you actually start recovering from your eternal embarrassment.

Word count: 2.8k
Tumblr media
Gojo Satoru never thought that he’d be so gullible.
Gullible enough to let himself get dumped by you, not that you dumped him in actuality, in his head you were so much more than that one time you sent him a risquĂŠ text accidentally, which consequently led to a very eventful thing happening. Key word, sex.
He knew that had to do something to get your attention, which meant doing a terribly sloppy, messy job on a mission. The killing wasn't the part he would suck at, for very obvious reasons but he could unapologetically collapse a few evacuated buildings, spill the guts, bones and blood of the curses obscenely enough that it left a trace even for the non-sorcerers. The consequences would leave him in a lot of deep shit from the higher ups and principal Yaga.
“Satoru, the casualties in Kobe weren’t as much as we expected, but for the love of fucking god! Can you care enough to explain why you’ve NOT done a clean job?” The air pressure in the room seemed to be skyrocketing with principal Yaga’s blood pressure and the way veins on his forehead were perceptibly popping out, contrasted by Satoru’s smirk of unbothered cool detachment. You knew it was bad the moment principal Yaga didn't particularly care about cuss words effortlessly leaving his mouth.
“My job is to obliterate, I obliterate, maybe maid Ichiji is just not doing his job well” You furrowed your brows at the entitlement and smugness in his statement. Shrugging his shoulders with his hands raised up in a gesture of ‘I wonder’, all of this being way too unserious and unimportant to him. What the fuck was that?
Your presence wasn't technically needed here, but you were specially called for since the only person Satoru considered listening to was you. You stood adjacent to the poor, scrawny man currently hanging on a flimsy thread of his sanity, and the risk of the consequences that his senior was so casually posing for him. You watched the meek man deep his head down, that's when you knew you had to step in for your colleague.
“Gojo-kun, take this seriously. Calling Ichiji-san a maid is not very nice either, it's better to be considerate of people who take away the burden from you for a lot of things. A ‘thank you’ would be better than the..whatever way you're speaking.” The stern tone in your voice definitely took him aback, a strange tug taking over his chest, before he let out an uproarious guffaw, almost like he didn’t take what you said seriously. Ouch.
“Fiiine, I'll do it for you, Just for you.” He threw his hands up dramatically and it drew a wringing smile on your lips. Almost. Yaga on the other hand, was technically on the verge of snapping again at his response, but you saw the principal do EFT, making you sigh at how effortless Satoru was at everything, especially at annoying people.
"Well, thank you Ichiji, since my dear Senpai here is telling me to be polite” He hummed with a smile, a little hopeful after a bordered smile that he pulled from you, his beloved.
His fingers played with the seam of the silky fabric of his blindfold. You noticed. It was an action he often did whenever he was in the wrong about something, where he was thoughtful. It wasn't that he wanted to push the blame on Ichiji, he just wanted your attention, some sort of reaction after being ghosted so brutally after that day. The black haired man simply nodded, acknowledging the apology, darting his eyes at you with a glimmer of gratitude, for stepping up.
You knew he was meeting your eyes, though not visibly, through the restraint of his blindfold. This was not the reaction that he expected, his glossed bottom lip poking out in a pout at the non-verbal interaction between you and Ichiji. And oh how it made him feel bitter. “So did that make you happy, Senpai?” pettishly breathed out, the tonality in his voice was clipped, cold, annoyed and you just rolled your eyes, equally peeved. There was nothing poor about him, and he was getting way too comfortable even at work. But he thought he had that privilege, especially after being between your legs. Not that he understood the concept of personal space, ever.
“Forget it! No one can convince this block head, don't waste your energy. Get back to work everyone.” Yaga had evidently given up at the fact that Satoru wouldn't budge from his cockiness even after being scolded upon.
“See ya, old man” Satoru's statement was met with nothing but a door slam, followed by the presence of you and Ichiji leaving as well, no longer in the room.
He huffed, expecting him to give him an arm touch before you left and look at him with your sympathetic eyes before he'd press his lips against yours and source his energy from the suppleness of them. Fuck. He couldn't be nonchalant about you ignoring him, he was spiralling.
Something had to be done about this.
๋࣭ 𐙚˙⋆.˚
You being stern to him didn't really pay off well, Satoru took it too personally, so personally that he was now at your doorstep, his tall stature looming over you, his broad shoulders that were casting a shadow onto you, drenched from the rain pouring outside, almost looking like a wet dog. Your mind brimmed with questions, why wasn't his infinity on? You stepped away from the door, allowing him inside, a soft cringe taking over your features when you saw the splatters of water on your clean wooden floor. Not like he cared.
“Why weren't you carrying an umbrella?” You looked like a mother, who had her hands on either side of her waist, frustrated with her child who decided that playing around in mud was a good idea. That's what you looked like to Satoru. Cute.
He locked his eyes in yours with a snare gaze along with a playful smile settled on his lips. Not exactly in the mood for talking after your treatment towards him earlier. He grabbed your wrist with a firm, determined grip, making you stumble onto his lap, in a straddle with a soft thud. You lamented softly at the feeling of the wet fabric against your dry, warm and crisp ones.
“You're soiling my clothes, Satoru!” You grumbled further, slapping his chest, your hands quick to smooth away the new state of your clothes, as if it would help.
You swivelled your head on your neck upward, looking at him, and his face had an expression of arrogant confidence and no remorse, a smirk playing the corner of his mouth, cloudy hair plastered on his forehead as thick drops of water streamed down his pretty face in rivulets. He had no right to look this good.
“What? You can handle this much.. you've been awfully rude to me, Princess. Besides, I'm gonna get you drenched anyway.” To which your face loomed a rosy pink. He gave a raspy laugh at the end of the suggestive comment then leaned in, his breath on your cheek warm as he pressed a soft, tender kiss onto your shaded cheek, his hands now growing explorative with his touch, slipping underneath your cardigan.
“You know why I got wet in the rain?” He left the question in the air, a rhetoric as his nimble fingers unbuttoned the cardigan, his eyes half lidded, watching the wool slide down from your shoulders, edging below the lace of your bra. ‘Fuck’ he muttered, tracing his fingertips on the swell of your bosom, frantically leaning in to tether wet kisses from your collarbone to your cleavage, his large hands expanding to cup your clothed chest, circling his hands in soft fondles, earning a mewl from your lips.
His eyes snapped at your face at your reaction, face flushed and eagerly watching his each move. You wanted him. You wanted him!
“I did it to have your attention..even that stupid mission that I could've finished in seconds..did it for you, all for you..Senpai” Shaking his head as he confessed, his hands creeping down to grasp at the plush flesh of your thighs from below, picking you up to land the two of you in your bedroom. You were flattered to the depths of your heart but you just couldn't pinpoint or understand where this was coming from. It had only been 3 days since you both were together again after that night.
He slid off the long coat of his uniform, then his pants and boxers with a grunt as it clung to his skin. He moved on the bed, hovering on top of you, your eyes failing to dart away from his cock that was unbearably hard and prodding at your inner thigh.
“It's not like you don't have my attention—” you crooned, your voice to him like velvet, wrapping around him like a gentle embrace. It was a voice that caressed his ears and soothed his soul, a sound that made him want to listen to you speak forever; the sweetness and undertone of sensuality. Something an adrenaline junkie like him could get addicted to but he cut you off, to make his point.
“It's not enough…it'll never be enough. I'll never not have enough of you” He spoke in a new found desperation in his voice, his fingers hauling the material of your slacks and panties, prying open your thighs, moaning at the sight of your inviting, sodded, glistening cunt.
“All this for me?” He asked in confirmation and you shuddered at the coolness of his fingers that were tempered because of him being wet in the rain priorly.
You nodded your head frantically, your hand settled on his wrist to do something, while he teased your slit so painfully slow, at an agonising degree. “ ‘Toru..please, do something..” that pleading your voice was so satisfying, so affirmative to the light of the fact that you wanted him too. “Fuck.. baby, say it again..need you to say it again..” He pleaded, the azure of his eyes wild and crazed, a feral gleam in their depths that sent shivers down your spine.
“All for you..” That's it. Satoru flipped you over, manhandling you to settle yourself on top of him, now in front of his proud cock, while your ass was on his face, his eyes fixed on your drooling heat.
He dipped in, giving an experimental lap onto your folds, his eyes rolling back at your taste, your essence while his two fingers nudged at the stretchy, entrance muscle, slipping them in with ease, your back arching at the intrusion. His tongue drew circles onto your clit, delving to spread your already profanely exposed pussy with his free hand, smiling at how your nub was poking out, greedy for his tongue, his fingers, his cock.
His hand came down on the globe of your ass with a sharp, stinging smack, the impact making you gasp, a consecutive whine passing your lips when he stopped, your heartbeat in a thrumming beat when he stopped his ministrations and pulled away, giving you another smack, your walls fluttering even at the emptiness. “You're not facing my cock for nothing, suck on it. Make good use of your mouth other than, you know…defending another man.”
“You're full of yourself, you really are..”
Yet you obliged even as you felt vexed by his backhanded comment, your thumb moving up and down on the velvet skin, on his frenum, admiring the curve of his blessed inches before lewdly taking him in your mouth, moaning with your mouth clasped around him when he gave a particularly harsh suck on your clit, your pussy now bubbling with his spit as he ate you out so voraciously, grunting and whimpering on your core in need, in yearning. He felt a little asphyxiated at you sitting on his face, although the good kind.
The orgasm that coiled in your body finally snapped, the tip of his shaft hitting the back of your throat, his happy trail tickling against your chin, his fingers scissoring into you hard and fast, the gushy, squelching noise at the action resounded on the walls—your eyes rolling back at their sockets, his cock slipping out your mouth, red, angry but lustrous with your spit.
“Thaaat's it, fuck, cum on fingers and mouth..make a mess..” He cooed, increasing the rapidness of his fingers. The wave of tingling heat and pleasure washed over you, a wave that crested and broke as you cried out, body arching and writhing under his touch. He sighed, loudly drinking away your juices before detaching yourself from his face, moving your body to hover on you again.
He teased his fingers on your lips, letting your jaw fall slack as he pushed his fingers in. Your mouth immediately surrounded them, swirling your hot tongue to savour your taste, eyes looking in his, all perused. “Look at you, sucking on my fingers like a nasty little slut. You defended Ichiji earlier..gonna let him do this too? Huh? Tell me Senpai..” He mocked pulling out his fingers to let you speak—that led a gasp to erupt your throat. He was satisfied, seeing the glow on your cheeks, the glassed eyes. All for him.
“No Toru..all for you, just for you.. I'm yours” You cloy, tantalising the head of his cock on your slick folds, the environment in the room balmy and humid. That teasing came to a halt when he propelled himself into you with a full swarm. “You're mine, all mine..mine mine mine..no one's gonna..fuck your pussy like me, make you cum like me..no one, princess..”
๋࣭ 𐙚˙⋆.˚
And he fucked you stupid, so primally, so animalistically. Losing count on how many times he pulled an orgasm after orgasm out of you. Now currently having his body overbearingly pressed on yours, his chest on your back, clammy with sweat, his forearms either side of your head, the way your hips were angled made you feel every inch, hitting at spot. He grunted, picking up his upper body away, hands placed on the small of your back that felt like a voltage.
He kneaded onto the flesh of your ass, prior to drawing both your wrists together, holding them down against your back as he plunged into you in a frenzy, harder and faster, nearing the edge. His own dick raw after cumming in you too many times during the night.
Satoru whimpered at the sight of you so ravenously stretched out his length, swallowing him in as he came again, completely milked dry and your body violently quivering. He chanted your name in soft cries as he pulled out, gently fisting himself and getting out every last drop on your twitching cunny.
He dropped his body onto you like it weighed nothing, ragging breaths leaving his lips and yours. He kissed the expanse of the back of your neck, playfully blowing a raspberry on your skin, making you giggle.
“You're a freak.” You turned around, allowing your manicured hairs to trail through his hair, enjoying the texture of his silky strands, as you brushed it back from his forehead. Your touch was gentle, almost reverent, fingers carded through the locks, massaging his scalp with a light pressure that made him hum in contentment.
“I'm your freak..” The giddy, smitten smile on his face makes your heart flutter. Damn it.
“Be my girlfriend..I can't take anymore of you not being mine anymore..” He saw the hesitation flicker across your face and it caught him off guard, the sorcerer felt something drop sickeningly in his stomach. Definitely his heart.
“...Let me think about it, okay?” He rolled his eyes before pinning your wrists above your head in bravado.
“You want me. I was inside you. I tasted you. That is a truth you will never escape.” He smiled, self assured, seeing the heat crawl on your cheeks at his crude yet factual comment.
“You're blushing..” He pointed, leaning his head downward, fighting the idiotic grin that was slowly lacing his handsome face at your reaction. He hummed, nosing your nipple faintly, before giving it a quick lap.
“So..? Never saw anyone fall for your charm before?” You raise your brow and he snorts, giving a soft bite on the supple flesh of your nipple with a chuckle at your gasp, immediately soothing it with a lick. “Yeah I have seen someone not fall for it, it's you.”
“Well, it doesn't matter because tomorrow I'm telling everyone that you're my girlfriend, especially Ichiji” He proudly replied, pulling you to his chest, inhaling deeply to let your scent tickle his senses.
“You're not gonna lose on this are you?” your arm wrapped around his waist, signalling him that you weren't exactly opposed to the idea.
“Nope, I'm the strongest for a reason” He spoke in his ever unwavering swagger and you could only sigh, being a loser in his love.

plot: y/n being too hot for her own good and Momo wanting to keep her for herself
Warnings: smut
Rq: yes
Wc: 2.5k
You walk through the bustling hallways of the school, guiding Momo towards your child’s classroom. The conferences have gone well so far—each teacher has been professional and focused. But as soon as you step into Mr. Kim’s classroom, something feels off.
Mr. Kim, a young, overly friendly teacher, greets you with a smile that’s a bit too wide. His eyes light up when they land on you, and he quickly extends his hand. “Ah, you must be Y/N. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you,” he says, his voice warm in a way that feels a bit too personal.
You smile politely, taking his hand. But his grip lingers longer than necessary, his eyes fixed on yours as he continues, “I’ve heard a lot about you.”
Before you can respond, you feel Momo’s presence beside you, her energy radiating irritation. She steps closer, placing a protective hand on your lower back, asserting her claim silently but clearly.
Momo noticed how Mr. Kim’s handshake lingered just a little too long, and her jaw clenched. You, being the ever so polite one, smiled warmly. “Nice to meet you too, Mr. Kim.”
“Please, call me Jisoo,” he replied, his smile widening as he finally let go of your hand. “Your child is doing quite well in my class. But I have to say, it's no wonder, considering how involved you seem to be.”
Momo's eyes narrowed as she watched Jisoo’s gaze travel from your face to your figure. She stepped closer to you, placing a possessive hand on the small of your back.
“Of course, she’s involved,” Momo interjected, her voice low and firm. “We both are.”
Jisoo blinked, as if noticing Momo for the first time. He quickly recovered, though, offering her a somewhat forced smile. “Right, of course. It’s always good to see both parents taking an active role.”
Throughout the meeting, Momo’s temper simmered as she caught Jisoo’s lingering glances and overly familiar tone. When he leaned in too close while showing yoh the grade book, Momo tightened her grip on your waist, pulling you closer.
At one point, Jisoo “accidentally” brushed his hand against your arm while pointing out a detail in the notes. Momo's patience snapped.
“Careful there,” Momo said, her voice laced with warning. “You wouldn’t want to give anyone the wrong idea.”
Jisoo chuckled, trying to play it off. “Just trying to make sure everything is clear. I wouldn't want Y/N to miss any details.”
Momo’s eyes were cold as she stared him down. “She won’t. I make sure of that.”
You, sensing the tension but not fully understanding its source, tried to smooth things over. “Thank you, Mr. Kim, for taking the time to explain everything. We really appreciate it.”
Jisoo nodded, but his eyes were on you, not Momo. “Anytime. If you ever have more questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always available… for you.”
Momo's grip on Y/N’s waist tightened almost painfully. “We’ll keep that in mind.”
As you left the classroom, you noticed Momo’s rigid posture and the angry set of her jaw. “Momo, are you okay?”
Momo didn’t respond immediately, her mind replaying the way Jisoo had looked at you. When they reached the car, she finally spoke, her voice tight with barely contained jealousy. “I didn’t like the way he was looking at you.”
You frowned, confused. “He was just being friendly.”
“Friendly?” Momo scoffed as she started the car. “He was practically undressing you with his eyes.”
You laughed softly, trying to ease the tension. “You’re overreacting. It’s not like he did anything.”
Momo’s hands gripped the steering wheel tightly as they drove home. “That’s not the point, Y/N. He was checking you out, right in front of me. It’s disrespectful.”
You reached over to place a hand on Momo’s thigh, rubbing soothing circles. “You know I only have eyes for you, right?”
Momo’s jaw unclenched slightly, but the tension was still there. “I know, but it doesn’t mean I like it when someone else thinks they can look at you like that.”
——
The car ride home is thick with unspoken tension. Momo’s hands grip the steering wheel tightly, her knuckles turning white. You glance over at her, trying to gauge just how angry she is.
The moment you step inside the house, you barely have time to take off your shoes before Momo’s hands are on you dragging you to your shared bedroom. She pushes you against the wall, her body pressing into yours, her lips crashing against yours with a mix of passion and frustration.
You gasp into the kiss, caught off guard by her intensity. “Momo, what—?”
“Do you know how hard it was for me not to punch him?” Momo growls against your lips, her hands gripping your hips tightly. “To not knock him out for even thinking he could get close to you?”
You can feel the anger and jealousy radiating off her, and it sends a thrill through you. “Momo, he doesn’t matter,” you manage to say, but your words are lost as Momo’s lips move to your neck, biting and kissing with possessive fervor.
“No,” Momo murmurs, her hands already working on undressing you, her touch rough and urgent. “I need to remind you who you belong to.”
Your breath hitches as she tugs your clothes off, her movements almost frantic with need. You can feel the jealousy in every touch, every kiss, and it makes your heart race. “Momo, I’m yours,” you whisper, trying to reassure her, but she’s not listening.
Momo pulls you closer, her lips capturing yours in a bruising kiss. “Damn right you are,” she growls, her hands sliding down your body, claiming you in a way that leaves no doubt in your mind who you belong to.
You’re breathless as she presses you harder against the wall, her hands possessively exploring every inch of your skin. There’s a desperation in her touch, a need to make sure you know exactly who you belong to.
Y/N blinked in surprise at Momo’s sudden aggression, but she didn’t resist. “Momo, it’s okay—”
“No, it’s not,” Momo interrupted, her lips crashing against Y/N’s in a heated, possessive kiss. “You’re mine, Y/N. No one else gets to look at you like that.”
Y/N moaned softly into the kiss, her hands moving to grip Momo’s shoulders as Momo’s hands roamed over her body. “Momo…”
Momo’s lips trailed down Y/N’s neck, nipping and biting possessively, leaving very obvious red marks on her neck. “I need to remind you who you belong to,” she murmured against her skin, her hands already working on removing Y/N’s clothes.
Y/N shivered at the intensity in Momo’s voice, her body responding to Momo’s touch despite the aggressive edge. “You don’t have to be jealous,” she whispered, trying to reassure her girlfriend even as her own desire grew.
Momo growled softly, her hands gripping Y/N’s hips as she pressed her against the wall harder. “I don’t want anyone else even thinking they have a chance with you.”
Y/N’s breath hitched as Momo’s hands slid lower, her touch possessive and demanding. “They don’t,” Y/N managed to gasp out. “I’m yours, Momo. Only yours.”
Just as Momo’s hands started to slide beneath Y/N’s clothes, a small voice interrupted them. “Mommy, I’m hungry…”
Both of you froze, turning to see your daughter standing in the doorway, her big eyes blinking up at you with curiosity.
Momo groaned softly, pulling back slightly, her possessive demeanor momentarily replaced by a softer, more tender one. “Sweetheart, why don’t you go change into your pajamas?” she suggested gently. “Then Mommy and I will make dinner.”
Your daughter tilted her head, glancing between the two of you. “Okay, but don’t take too long!” she said with a giggle before running off.
Momo turned back to you, a smirk playing on her lips. “Where were we?”
You laughed softly, pulling her closer again. “Dinner, huh?”
Momo’s smirk deepened as she leaned in, her voice low. “That can wait”
Momo’s eyes were dark with desire as she pressed you firmly against the wall, her breath hot against your neck. With swift movements, she undressed just her bottoms, the fabric dropping to the floor in a careless heap. Her hands then found their way to you, deftly stripping away every last piece of your clothing until you stood bare before her. The air was thick with tension, every second charged with anticipation.
As Momo wrapped her hand around her veiny cock, you couldn’t tear your eyes away. The sight of it, glistening with pre-cum at the tip, sent a shiver of excitement down your spine. She noticed your reaction, a smirk playing at the corners of her lips. “You like what you see?” she teased, her voice a low, husky whisper that made your heart race even faster.
With one arm, she pinned you against the wall, her strength holding you in place effortlessly. Her free hand guided her cock to your entrance, teasing you with its warmth. You bit your lip, your body trembling with need as she took her time, drawing out the moment until you were practically begging for her. Finally, with a satisfied sigh, Momo began to push into you, her movements powerful and relentless from the very start.
Your breath hitched, your body arching against hers as she filled you completely. Every thrust sent a wave of pleasure crashing through you, your mind spinning with the intensity of it all. “Momo… dinner,” you managed to whisper, though your voice was shaky and uncertain, your words almost lost in the haze of your overwhelming sensations.
Momo chuckled against your ear, the sound deep and filled with confidence. “Dinner can wait,” she growled, her pace quickening, each movement more intense than the last. Her grip on your hips tightened, pulling you closer as if she couldn’t stand even the smallest distance between you two. It felt like she wanted to claim every inch of you, to make sure you knew you were hers.
“Jump,” she commanded, her voice low and authoritative. Without hesitation, you obeyed, wrapping your legs around her waist, holding on for dear life as her thrusts became more forceful. Every movement sent sparks of pleasure coursing through you, your whines and moans filling the room as you begged for more.
Momo’s cock found that perfect spot inside you, and when she hit it, you let out a loud, uninhibited cry of pleasure. The sensation was almost too much to bear, your body trembling uncontrollably as you teetered on the edge. But just as you were about to lose yourself entirely, Momo leaned in, her lips brushing against your ear. Her hand slid over your mouth, silencing you with a teasing yet commanding touch.
“Shh,” she whispered, her voice a tantalizing mix of amusement and authority. “We don’t want Juna to hear us, do we?” The thrill of her words sent a new wave of excitement through you, your heart pounding not just from the intensity of your connection, but from the possibility of being caught.
You shook your head slightly, your eyes wide as you looked into Momo’s gaze. The possessiveness in her eyes made your pulse race even faster, a deep, primal part of you responding to her dominance.
Momo’s smirk deepened, her voice dropping to a low, possessive whisper. “Unless… you want to be loud, so that dumb teacher knows exactly who you belong to.” The mere suggestion sent waves of heat through your body, your eyes fluttering shut as you nodded, unable to form words. The intensity of the moment had taken over completely, leaving you at Momo’s mercy.
Seeing your response, Momo didn’t hold back. Her pace quickened, her thrusts becoming harder, more insistent, as if she was determined to push you both over the edge. The rhythm of your bodies moving together became all that mattered, the world around you fading away until there was nothing but the two of you.
But just as you were about to reach that sweet release, the sound of small footsteps echoed down the hallway. Momo cursed softly under her breath, her movements slowing in frustration as Juna’s voice called out, “Mommy, I’m ready!”
Momo’s eyes met yours, a mixture of frustration and amusement flickering across her face. With a groan, she picked up her pace again, determined to finish what she started. “We’ll be there soon, baby!” she called back, her voice strained as she tried to hold onto the moment.
The urgency in her movements grew, her body pressing against yours with renewed intensity. You could feel her getting closer, her breathing becoming more ragged as she struggled to keep control. Before you could say anything, Momo leaned in, capturing your lips in a heated, desperate kiss that stole your breath away.
“Just let me finish,” she whispered against your lips, her voice thick with need. “Let me cum in you. Please, baby. Please.” The raw desire in her tone sent shivers down your spine, making it impossible to deny her.
You nodded, still breathless, your body aching for the release that was just within reach. “Fuck. Fuck. Fuck,” you whispered into her ear, each word spurring her on, urging her to go faster, harder. “Just a little more, Momo. You’re doing so well.”
Momo’s movements became frantic, her body trembling as she reached the edge. With one final, powerful thrust, she buried herself deep inside you, her cock pulsing as she spilled herself into you. The sensation was overwhelming, your own orgasm ripping through you as you clung to her, your bodies trembling together in the aftermath.
As you both caught your breath, Momo slowly pulled out, her cock now softening as the last of her cum dripped from you. The intensity of the moment lingered in the air, a shared understanding passing between you as you hurried to put your clothes back on. There was no time to clean up, no time to savor the moment as Juna’s voice called out again.
With a quick, knowing smile, Momo helped you straighten your clothes before turning to tend to your daughter. You followed her into the other room, your legs still shaky from the intensity of what had just happened. Momo took Juna’s hand, her demeanor shifting effortlessly from passionate lover to caring mother.
As you started making dinner, you could hear Momo and Juna laughing together in the next room, the sound warming your heart. The chaos of the moment faded away, replaced by the quiet comfort of your family’s routine.
Later, as you lay together in bed, you stroke Momo’s hair softly, your body still humming from the intensity of what just happened. Momo’s arm is wrapped around you possessively, her earlier anger slowly fading into a gentle protectiveness.
“Momo,” you whisper, kissing her forehead softly. “You don’t have to get so worked up.”
Momo sighs, her hold on you tightening slightly. “I just… I hate when someone else thinks they can have you.”
You tilt her chin up to meet your gaze, your voice full of affection. “No one else can. I’m yours, Momo. Only yours.”
A small smile tugs at her lips as she finally relaxes, the jealousy melting away as she buries her face in the crook of your neck, content in the knowledge that you’re hers and hers alone.
“Good,” she murmurs, her voice soft as she kisses your neck gently. “Because I’m never letting you go.”

Unknown Number
someone made a request about reader accidentally being given harry's number, but i accidentally deleted it, so if you requested it, here it is!
(the text chain will be from harry's point of view)
italics: y/n (unknown number)
bold: harry
Part Two
Part Three
Tumblr media
Unknown Number (UN): heyy. i had a really good time the other night. maybe we could do it again sometime? xx (click to download image)
Harry Styles (HS): How did you get this number?
UN: you gave it to me?
UN: last night at the pub? marcus, right?
HS: No. You have the wrong number.
UN: is this a joke? are you fucking with me right now?
HS: No.
UN: oh my god
UN: i feel like such an idiot
UN: one of the first times a guy gives me his number at a bar and he gives me the wrong number
UN: probably on purpose too
UN: i should've known when he left his OWN APARTMENT the next morning but i was actually hopeful
UN: and now i've made an ass of myself here too. sorry to bother you i'll leave you alone. sorry again
(one hour later)
HS: It's okay. Sorry about that guy. Sounds like a jerk.
(twenty minutes later)
UN: it's fine, i guess
UN: i wasn't in love with him or anything but he could've had the decency of expressing his disinterest himself instead of hiding behind a fake number.
HS: That is quite a dick move.
HS: I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't expecting that text. I didn't open the picture either by the way.
UN: thank you. for a moment i was worried i was messaging a creep, but hopefully you're not a creep
UN: i mean you could be still and i'd have no idea
UN: maybe i should stop texting you
(ten minutes later)
HS: I'm not a creep.
UN: that's exactly what a creep would say
HS: I don't really know how to prove it to you. You're the one who sent me a photo of yourself half naked. You could be the creep.
UN: you said you didn't open it!
HS: I was trying to be polite!
UN: great now some 40 year old living in his parents basement has one of my nudes
HS: I'm not 40! And I don't live in my parents basement
UN: you text like an old man
HS: wuld u rather i txt like ths???
UN: no but i'm just saying i don't know many people my age who use proper punctuation in text messages
HS: Well I might not be your age, but I'm certainly not 40
UN: "certainly not." you're right. you sound like my grandpa
HS: I suddenly regret restarting a conversation with you
UN: you know despite the fact that you might be catfishing me, i've enjoyed this. i feel like i'm doing what all the other teen girls did in high school at sleepovers
HS: So you're out of high school.
UN: creep!
HS: You outed yourself, that's not on me.
UN: you...might be right
UN: can you tell me something about yourself to make it even? there's always a possibility that you could be lying and i have no reason to trust you, but...idk i feel like i can
HS: Well that's stupid.
HS: But I suppose since I've already seen you partially naked...
UN: i'm blocking your number
HS: My first name is H, and I'm 20 years old.
UN: h? just the letter h?
HS: You could be a creep too for all I know
UN: fair enough. i'm june
HS: Full name? Wow, you really are a dummy.
UN: don't get your 60 year old panties in a twist. it's a nickname
HS: June is a nickname?
HS: And I'm not 60.
UN: june. june bug. that's what the folks call me
HS: Folks? Now who sounds old?
UN: whatever
(thirty minutes later)
HS: Well, it was nice talking to you, June. June bug.
UN: you too h
Tumblr media
(three days later)
June (J): you're a guy right?
HS: I'm sorry?
J: well when i first texted you i thought you were a guy, but you weren't THAT guy, so i have no idea
J: i just assumed but i thought i would ask
J: plus i need solicited guy advice and if you're not a creep i would really appreciate it
HS: We're back to me being a creep?
J: it's a risk every time i text you
J: so? are you a dude?
HS: Yes.
J: great! can i ask you something?
HS: Um...I guess...
J: ok. would you ever get offended if a woman covered their drink during a conversation with you?
HS: I'm not following...
J: like say we're at a bar and we're talking and i turn my head away for some reason but i put my hand over my drink until i look back at you to prevent it from being spiked. would you be offended by that?
HS: No. Why?
J: see? i don't think that's unreasonable. some loser got mad at me for doing that. well EXCUSE ME for not immediately trusting the guy i matched with on tinder
J: who was not as cute in real life i might add
HS: You don't have the best taste in guys.
J: that is not advice!
HS: Okay, here's my advice: don't swipe right on guys who have mirror selfies in their profile.
J: ...
J: ok fair enough but it's not like prince charmings are falling from the sky. it's hard out here
HS: I'm sure.
J: what you don't have the same problem?
HS: I don't really date.
J: in like a douchey way? are you one of those guys who say they just fuck?
HS: I just don't have time for dating, I guess.
J: so no special someone?
HS: No.
(four hours later)
HS: If you asked for advice, does that mean I can too?
(one hour later)
J: sorry i was at work
J: and i don't see why not
HS: What do you think about guys who wear skinny jeans?
J: hm...i think styled right it could be nice
J: YSL is kind of pushing the whole skinny jeans and chelsea boots thing which might eventually trickle down to the losers i match with on tinder so...why not? i say dress how you want
J: any guy who has a good sense of style is sexy to me
J: sorry if that wasn't the answer you were looking for
HS: Yes and no. I've been experimenting with different styles. Sometimes I get a little in my head about it.
J: doesn't everyone?
HS: I guess you're right.
HS: Do you follow fashion shows and things like that?
HS: That's not too personal, is it?
J: no, but it's kind of embarrassing
HS: Not as embarrassing as sending a complete stranger a picture of yourself in your bra
J: harsh...but fair
J: fashion is kind of my religion
J: i'm trying to become a stylist. keyword trying
HS: That's cool!
J: tell that to my family
HS: they don't support you?
J: nope! but i'm gonna do it anyway!
HS: Do you have a favorite designer?
J: it kinda depends on the year and who was creative director at the time, but the first time i got my hands on vintage vivienne westwood i was hooked
J: you?
HS: I'm just starting to explore the fashion world I guess you could say.
J: well lucky for you i happen to be a bit of an encyclopedia when it comes to house codes
HS: House codes?
J: oh boy. i hope you're comfortable. we might be here a while
Tumblr media
(two days later)
HS: Have you ever had rumors spread about you?
J: i don't think so
J: oh wait! in eighth grade this girl in my class told everyone i made out with a boy at the school dance which was NOT true
J: it was just a peck
HS: Naughty.
J: it was harmless. why do you ask?
HS: There's a rumor going around about me. It's just frustrating when people actually believe it. sometimes it gets to the point where i start to believe it myself.
J: i'm sorry. i won't pry or anything, but i know what it feels like to not be understood
HS: I just hate the feeling of being under a microscope. It's exhausting. I feel like my life isn't my own sometimes.
J: that sucks
J: sorry that was in no way helpful, but i don't really know what to say. is there someone you can talk to about this?
HS: ...
J: oh! i actually feel kind of honored
J: well, obviously i don't know the whole situation, but maybe try and surround yourself with people who don't scrutinize you so much?
HS: Easier said than done.
J: true but i think if you have a solid group of people who know you and understand you and like you for who you are, it's easier to deal with things like rumors and being under the proverbial microscope, you know?
J: and don't be afraid to get rid of the toxic people in your life! it's not easy but you'll be better off in the long run
HS: sometimes it's hard to tell who's toxic and who's not
J: start with the people who would never believe a rumor about you, or the ones who would never START one about you
HS: Well said, June Bug.
J: thanks! maybe i should entertain a career in counseling
Tumblr media
(one month later)
HS: Why June Bug?
J: i was born in the summer. it was a nickname my grandparents gave me. been called that ever since
HS: That's sweet.
J: there are worse nicknames i suppose. i have a cousin that got stuck with chip because he used to stuff his face like a chipmunk when he was little
HS: Yikes.
J: you're telling me
Tumblr media
(three weeks later)
J: have you ever danced alone in your bedroom to stevie nicks?
HS: Have you?
J: i have, and can i just say she does NOT get enough credit as a songwriter?
HS: Edge of Seventeen?
J: edge of seventeen
J: i went on a date last week with a guy who had the AUDACITY to call her music mediocre
HS: You didn't see him again did you?
J: ...
HS: June!
J: just once! and only because he had really nice hands
HS: I don't get how that would make you stay with a stevie hater...
J: REALLY nice hands ;)
HS: You disappoint me sometimes.
J: ;))))
(fifteen minutes later)
J: hey you never answered my question about dancing in your room!
HS: ...No comment...
Tumblr media
(one week later)
J: you ever been in love, h?
HS: I can't say that I have. Have you?
J: no ://
J: i think i want it too much. i've always just been in love with the idea of falling in love, you know?
J: but the reality isn't what i thought it would be
HS: I'm sorry.
HS: It probably won't help but I'm sure you'll find someone. You seem like a great person. Anyone would be lucky to be with you.
J: aw h you're making me blush!
HS: But perhaps you should stop looking for love on a hookup app
J: annnd good feeling gone
Tumblr media
(two weeks later)
HS: Guess who has two thumbs and got invited to Paris Fashion Week!
J: no fair!
J: and that joke doesn't work if i can't see you point to yourself. it doesn't work period
HS: I will let that slide because I know you're just jealous.
J: are you kidding me? OF COURSE i'm jealous! i can't believe you get to see Alessandro Michele's work up close
HS: Who?
J: don't think because we only communicate through text that i can't strangle you
HS: Relax. I'm only joking.
HS: Alessandro is a friend ;))
(ten minutes later)
J: sorry i just had to scream into my pillow
J: what exactly do you do again?
HS: I told you. I work in the industry.
J: but that could mean anything! the cosmetics industry, the movie industry, the meat packing industry...
HS: Meat packing?
J: you know what i mean!
HS: I do a lot of PR.
J: see. that wasn't so hard now was it?
HS: Can I go back to gloating?
J: only if you promise to give me a full report afterwards you go to all the shows
HS: Deal.
(four days later)
HS: Favorite movie?
J: that's hard...
J: it's probably cliche but the devil wears prada
HS: Good choice.
J: what about you?
HS: The Notebook.
J: really?
HS: Yes. Why?
J: do you say that to impress girls or because it's actually your favorite?
HS: Would you rather I have said a film with lots of car chases?
J: no
J: but i went out with a guy who was a film major once
HS: Is that a bad thing?
J: let's just say it won't be happening again
J: he thought he was superior for disliking popular movies. i hate that
HS: Well, I love The Notebook and I love Ryan Gosling
J: now THAT is something we can agree on!
Tumblr media
(six weeks later)
J: BIG NEWS
J: LIKE HUGE
J: GROUNDBREAKING
HS: And here I was thinking you forgot about me.
J: i texted you yesterday
HS: You asked me if my dick could move on its own.
J: a legitimate question! i nearly had a heart attack when i saw it in person
J: but i was also weirdly fascinated. my question was purely scientific!
HS: You said you had news?
J: right!
(twenty minutes later)
HS: Are you making me wait to create anticipation?
J: no sorry i got a phone call.
J: i got my first real gig as a stylist
HS: That's great! Congratulations!
J: thanks
HS: You don't sound excited anymore. What happened to all caps?
J: my mother happened
HS: Still not on board, then?
J: she told me it was a waste of time and that i should get a real job
HS: You're still gonna take it though right?
J: i don't know. maybe she's right. the pay is less than ideal. more like i'm being paid in experience, and it's not the clientele i was imagining...
HS: But it's a foot in the door, right? That's something.
J: i guess
HS: Make connections. Get good references. And who knows, you might actually enjoy yourself.
J: you're right.
J: it's for some up and coming band that's going on tour. pretty sure i was what they could afford
HS: Don't sell yourself short. You're gonna do great.
J: thanks. i hardly even know you and you're currently my biggest supporter
HS: What happened to Bill?
J: ancient history
HS: What was wrong with him? He seemed nice.
J: yeah
J: his girlfriend thought so too.
HS: On behalf of all men: Sorry. We truly are the worst.
J: agreed. what about you? still single?
HS: Yes, though people keep trying to set me up on dates.
J: the horror!
HS: Ha ha
HS: I just want to meet someone on my own terms.
J: i get that
J: i just want to meet someone who's actually a decent human being
HS: I'll be on the lookout.
Tumblr media
(three weeks later)
J: i think i've decided that tour life is not for me
HS: oh?
J: yeah. sitting on a bus for hours and hours with only myself to keep me company? no thanks
HS: it can't just be you on the bus can it?
J: no but i have a hard time making friends right away. and a lot of the crew for this tour are older than me
HS: are your clients nice at least?
J: yeah. one of them tried to hit on me, which i guess i should take as a compliment, but i am on the clock. no flirting for me
HS: a professional then. or are you not into the musician type?
J: not sure. i haven't dated one before
J: i told you that the other day
HS: right. must've slipped my mind
HS: but back to taste in men. is it all about looks for you or do you like funny guys?
HS: are you the type to sleep with someone on the first date? because i feel like that's very telling about a girl
J: who is this?
HS: what do you mean? it's me
J: it's not. you're not texting like a middle aged woman and you're acting like a total ass
HS: Sorry. I thought I'd try something new. And I was just curious. Can't blame a guy for asking right? You did send some guy you barely knew a picture of yourself
HS: It was very wholesome by the way. Maybe try a little more skin next time and you'll get the response you want. You can practice here if you'd like.
J: oh my god
HS: What?
J: this was a mistake. i'm such an IDIOT
J: was this some kind of prank?
J: whoever you are, you're sick
J: don't text me again
HS: June, I'm so sorry. That was my friend he was just being stupid.
HS: Last time I leave my phone anywhere.
HS: June?
HS: June please.
HS: That wasn't me I swear!
HS: I'm sorry.
(three weeks later)
HS: Day 21 of trying to get you to respond.
HS You probably blocked me which is fine. I don't blame you.
HS: But if you DO happen to read these and are just ignoring me...
HS: I'm sorry. Again. For like the millionth time.
J is typing...
HS: June?
J: i should've blocked you
HS: Why didn't you?
J: because as insane as it sounds, you've become a close friend
HS: I feel the same. I'm really sorry about before. I swear it was one of my mates. I would never say something like that.
J: that's what makes this whole thing crazy! i don't actually know you, so how do i know if i can trust you?
HS: I mean you even noticed that he wasn't texting like me. I would never ask you questions like that, June. I never have.
HS: And I do NOT text like a middle aged woman by the way
J: i guess that's true
J: i think it just doubled down the fact that we don't actually know each other. this whole thing is ridiculous if you think about it too long. it gives me a headache sometimes.
J: i know we've joked about it but...this could be potentially dangerous
HS is typing...
HS: I could send you a voice note.
J: you would do that?
HS: You're right. This whole thing is ridiculous but...I don't know, I trust you, and I consider you a friend.
J: a friend you say?
HS: That's all I'm willing to admit for one day
J: and what about tomorrow?
HS is typing...
HS (voice recording): Maybe tomorrow I'll admit a little more.
Tumblr media
(one day later)
Y/n hated how much her stomach flipped every time her phone pinged with a new message.
It was so reckless and dangerous and utterly ridiculous. She didn't know who H was, she didn't even know what time zone he lived in, and yet she felt like she knew him.
And after hearing his deep voice—deep British voice—on the voice recording, Y/n determined that he wasn't some creep in his forties like she'd originally thought.
Since sending that voice recording, they'd sent each other messages like that all night. And by all night she meant all night. They stayed up late sending voice recordings back and forth. It was the longest conversation they'd held to date, which was surprising considering that they often missed each other during certain hours. Just based on what hours of the day they texted the most, Y/n figured H lived somewhere in Europe, which gave her peace of mind considering he couldn't exactly kidnap her if he was a whole ocean away. But the last couple weeks their schedules seemed to be lining up, though Y/n chalked it up to all the traveling she'd been doing lately.
One thing she was certain of was that she adored H's voice. It was soft and deep, but got raspier the longer they spoke. And at times he would whisper in his messages, like he had to keep his voice down. The hushed tones made her shiver.
Y/n didn't call H, and he never offered. But she wanted to, boy did she want to. No matter how terrifying that thought was. A full-fledged phone call seemed more...real to Y/n. With the messages, she and H were still in their little bubble. It was stupid, but she needed that bit of separation. She was becoming attached to someone she'd never met.
Walking through the halls of a stadium in Canada, Y/n pulled up past conversations with H. It was too embarrassing to admit to anyone out loud, but she felt like she really knew him. He was endearing, had a silly sense of humor, had good taste in music, and was honest. Well, as honest as either of them could be. Outside of the one slip up with H's friend, Y/n believed what he said to her over text. Maybe that made her naive, but their conversations were legit. He felt like a friend, and she knew he felt similarly.
Maybe tomorrow I'll admit a little more.
Y/n had no idea what that could mean. She of course knew what she wanted it to mean, but what she wanted rarely ever lined up with reality.
Y/n looked up from her phone to make sure she didn't pass the right door. The one in front of her read, Harry Styles in big bold lettering. She quickly hurried past and continued down the hall to where the dressing room for Five Seconds of Summer was.
Harry Styles was a bit of an enigma. Even though she was on the same tour as him and One Direction, Y/n hardly ever saw him. And when she did, his nose was always in his phone, completely closed off to the world around him. He just had this vibe that said, "don't talk to me," and Y/n received that message loud and clear. The Five Seconds of Summer boys seemed to get on with all the members of One Direction, but Y/n usually made herself scarce whenever they came by the dressing room, for no other reason than too much testosterone in one room.
"You want to come out after the show, Harry?" Y/n heard one of the boys ask. Michael.
"Um...No. I think I'll have to pass tonight, boys. Sorry."
"What? Big date tonight?"
"Something like that."
Y/n felt frozen to the linoleum floor. She knew that voice. She'd spent all night listening to that voice.
"Holy shit."

you were awakened to heavy footsteps entering your home at around 11:00 pm.
usually they’re a lot softer, much less aggressive, thats for sure. you recognized them though- they were your husband, wriothesleys. he seemed pretty upset.
you pick your head up from the pillow, groaning as you slowly got out of bed to see what he was doing. to no surprise, he was in the kitchen, brewing tea. he had his head in his hands, oblivious to your approaching form.
“wrio… whats wrong?” you said in a raspy, groggy tone, and accidentally startled the man, for you were able to catch him jump the slightest bit before bringing one of his hands into yours. “talk to me.”
he just groaned, pulling you flush against his chest, before nearly breaking down into tears. when you felt the first drop of wetness on your bare shoulder, you pulled out of the hug, grabbing his face in gentle hands.
“okay, something is seriously wrong. how bad was today?” you look at him in pity. one thing you’ve learned from being married to this man for two and a half years is that when the great, mighty duke of meropide cries, it’s almost as important as if the city flooded over with primordial seawater. but only that important to you.
he took a shaky breath in, and then looked down. “pretty bad. two inmates decided to pick on sigewinne. her injuries were enough to send her up here for more professional medical treatment. even for me, it was scary, seeing how she felt helpless and couldn’t patch herself up like she normally does.” he exhaled. “they took her vision and taunted me with it. obviously i got it back, but not without a fight.”
you nod, standing next to him as he pours his tea in a mug. he took a sip before offering you some, in which you politely declined.
“how long is sigewinnes absence going to last? if anything, i have some medical experience behind my back. i can stich up a wound at most. if you want my help in the infirmary, then i’d be happy to offer.”
he scratched his temple, seeming to debate on whether or not that would be a good idea.
“we’ll see, i have yet to get detailed information on her stay. once i get more, i’ll let you know if thats needed or not.”
you nod, before taking his hand in yours, leading him into bed. he changed his clothes before joining you.
once you two made it into bed, he snuggled up against you as you rubbed his back to try and ease some of his pains. you could tell the incident involving sigewinne was weighing like a fifty pound weight on his mind, and you wanted to silently remind him that you were always there for him.
this is where you felt the tears spill out, with light gasps to follow. he was never an obnoxious cryer. you just held him tighter, allowing him to cry it out and allow his mind to process things.
you continued to rub his back and shoulders, calming him down. he hugged you even tighter, shoving his face in your chest before finding it okay to shut his eyes. your hands made their way from his back, to his shoulders, to the back of his head, fluffing his soft hair. it smelled very nicely of tea leaves and a sweet and smokey scent. something you could compare to vanilla, but with a, once again, smokier touch to it. he loved when you put your head on top of his, occasionally leaning in to kiss it.
within a matter of ten minutes, he had drifted off. you kept him close, making sure a nightmare doesn’t rouse him from his sleep. the last thing you both wanted was him to be tired in the morning, and adding that to additional stress? oh, the duke certainly was not a morning person.

The Pickle Theory
Tumblr media
Diavolo x reader
~While on a trip with you in the human world, Diavolo finds himself at the mercy of his worst enemy.
W.C- 2.6k
a/n: This was one of those prompts that I think of in the middle of the night and write it down in the notes app thinking that It would make sense in the morning... But I don't think I did Late Night Liza justice.
Tumblr media
"Thank you for accompanying me on this little trip to the human world Mc, I would never have been able to figure out the intricacies of Human World Public transportation without your expertise." The Prince says warmly, his eyes alight with curiously as he takes in every inch of the sparsely populated city bus the two of you elected to ride.
Sure, there is enough room on this bus for each of you to have your personal space, but the demon is sitting shoulder to shoulder with you in the tiny two-seat row, and you certainly would not have it any other way.
"It was no problem at all," you beam, finding humor in how strange it is to see such a large and gorgeous man trying to politely cram himself into his seat. "I hope that you were able to find something here that you want to incorporate into the devildom. Besides, you know me. I love a reason to get out into the sun with you."
His smile is just as blinding as the sun as he takes in every inch of your elated features, and he lets out a chuckle. "This trip of ours definitely has been useful, but more than that, I am delighted to have had an excuse to whisk you away to the human world without any of our usual distractions."
"It's nice to be able to spend some time alone with you," you say in agreement as the bus comes to a stop. Despite years of etiquette training, you see the pout on his face as he realizes that the errand that brought the two of you together is coming to an end, and the two of you will have to go back to the Devildom so he can get back to fulfilling his royal duties.
"It seems we have reached the final stop on our route," he murmurs as the remaining passengers trickle out the doors. Through his shades, you can tell the driver is staring you down in the mirror. He clearly wants the two of you to get off his bus, but he's not gonna try and get snarky to someone of Diavolo's size.
Which is more than fair
You stand, and he follows suit, walking off the bus and onto the cobbled streets of an unfamiliar city. Your mind is fixated on what you can do to prolong this errand date. You want to spend more time with him, but as the Prince of the Devildom, his time is priceless. Much to your surprise, your thoughts are interrupted by the ferocious growling of your stomach growls ferociously. Your eyes widen as you look over to Diavolo in embarrassed shock.
Amazedly, the Prince only tosses his head back in laughter. "What a wonderful idea, Mc. We simply could not return to the Devildom when we are in such a state of hunger.
"Right. That was my plan," you chuckle, deciding to roll with his easy compliment. The sun is high in the sky, warming every inch of your exposed skin. Closing your eyes, you stop in your tracks to enjoy the sensation. You can feel his golden gaze even before you open your eyes.
His expression is radiant as he takes in your look of contentment. But there is something else behind it that you can't quite place.
"Is something wrong?"
"Nothing at all," he replies, a faint smile on his lips. "I simply wish to see that pleasant look on your face as much as possible."
There is a deep feeling in your gut that there is more he is not saying, but you choose to not push him further. "Aren't you charming? But don't forget that you are the one who makes me smile so much," you say coyly as the two of you resume walking the narrow path, drawing your bodies closer and closer to each other until you are walking side by side. The light accidental brushing of your hands sends flustered shivers up your spine.
As the butterflies in your stomach threaten to carry you away, you take a peek at Diavolo's face to see if he is anywhere near as flustered as you, but the Prince's face is a mask of nonchalant charm. Looking at him was definitely the wrong thing to do in this situation because he looks even more stunning in the light of the day. Sunlight radiates off his hair, giving it a rich, coppery glow, and his dark skin seems to shine with an otherworldly beauty.
Men and women alike misstep as they catch a glimpse of his inhuman good looks, but his eyes remain focused on the path ahead. You can't tell if he is oblivious to the way his regal features draw attention or if he is so used to it it doesn't bother him in the slightest.
You become painfully aware of just how clammy your hands have become in this sweltering heat and try to not bump him again.
Clearly, he isn't trying as hard (at all) as his hand brushes yours once again. Out of the corner of your eye, you just see a flash of a smirk grace his lips. "Perhaps we should hold hands, Mc."
"You wouldn't mind?" you ask, subtly wiping your hand on the fabric of your shorts.
"Certainly, it's only natural for human couples to want to hold hands when they are on a date."
You smile as his logic wins over your insecurities; when he takes your hand, you aren't sure if it's your time in the Devildom rubbing off on you or if it's your inner pettiness, but the dejected looks that appear on strangers' faces when they see that he is taken brings you joy.
With his hand in your, it's easy to lose track of time. You aren't sure how long you have been walking until he stops abruptly. "Oh my, what is that smell?"
Closing your eyes, you take a deep breath in. Even with your inferior sense of smell, you are able to pick up the warm, comforting smell of freshly baked bread. "That smells amazing," you say, covering your mouth with your hand to hide how much you're drooling.
"It does smell wonderful; how about we stop here for a quick meal?" He offers you don't have to be a mind reader to know that he would be over the moon if you said yes.
"I would love to," you smile, walking under the painted archway and into an adorable-looking cafe. Large, thriving potted plants outnumber the number of patrons in this thriving business as you scan the dining area for a place to sit. In the very corner, you see a perfect little booth for the two of you to grab.
"let's head over to that table real quick; once we're seated, we can order our lunch at the counter and enjoy ourselves." You walk confidently, knowing that Diavolo will follow.
"Everything here looks wonderful," Diavolo says as he scans the menu, "Do you know what you would like to get?"
You furrow your brow and read it yourself but find yourself unable to narrow your options down. "Not yet, I can't decide." You whine, "COuld you choose for me?"
"Of course I can," he laughs, standing to his feet. "I'll go up to the counter and make it a surprise."
There is a spring in his step as he steps up to the counter. He learned how to order food at restaurants on your last visit, and he is extremely eager to show off what he has learned. When he comes back and slides into the booth, he looks very proud of himself.
"Did you do it?" you ask.
He nods and places a white-numbered flag on the tabletop. "I did; this little date of ours has made me want to host a human world cafÊ event at RAD so everyone gets to experience this. "That would be such a great idea," you agree, already wondering what kind of trouble awaits the lot of you when the event goes underway.
The Prince's excitement is contagious, and the two of you chatter excitedly about the semantics until nature calls for you to go to the restroom. You excuse yourself politely as you try to figure out where in this swanky place the bathroom is.
~
As Diavolo stares across the booth at your empty seat, all he can think of is how much he cares about you.
Getting to spend time with you away from everyone else is more valuable than any of the crown jewels in his palace. You are fascinating to him, even more so than the world in which you hail from.
But seeing how comfortable you are out in the sun sends pangs of guilt into his heart. He can't help but feel guilty for pulling you to the Devildom, away from everything, but he knows deep down that neither of you would change it for the world.
He is so lost in thought he barely notices a shy server sliding two plates of mouth-wateringly delicious-looking sandwiches onto the table before scurrying away from the gorgeous yet intimidating demon.
He eyes his sandwich hungrily. The bread smells even better now that it's fresh and inches away from him. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, breathing in the aroma. All of his manners scream at him to wait just a moment longer for you to come back, but he can't help himself.
He reaches for the first half of the sandwich but stops just shy of the crust when he spots something that makes his blood run cold.
It's Slimy…
It's Disgusting…
It's the very bane of his existence…
"Pickles," he breathes, staring down at the lumpy green vegetable sitting inconspicuously on the edge of his plate. Now that he has seen it, its slimy, pungent aroma that so many others adore invades his senses.
He can't look away from it, even as he feels his stomach twist with hausa. It's almost as if he had just eaten one of Solomon's Mystery soups the sorcerer sometimes brings to the castle to share.
What should he do?
Years of etiquette classes have taught him that, as a prince, it is rude to refuse to eat something on his plate.
Even if he hates it.
Even if looking at that particular something makes him feel as if his skin is turning green.
He gulps nervously as he is faced with the severity of the predicament he finds himself in. He is representative of the Devildom; it would be rude to show up to the human world and refuse the food that he has been given.
"Wow, it's here already?" your sweet voice pulls the future king of Hell from his brine-filled thoughts. His golden gaze shoots up at you quickly, watching intently as you slide into the red leather booth. You look down at your plate with a smile before glancing up at him. "It's not much, but for some humans, going to the bathroom at a restaurant and coming back to see that their food has been delivered is the closest thing they will ever get to magic."
"What a wonderful outlook," he exclaims. "Human creativity has no bounds. I find the more I learn of them, the more I am inclined to admire them."
"You give us far too much credit," you laugh, but he can tell that your attention has been taken by the beautiful sandwich in front of you. You look up quickly, and he sees the cute way your features twist in embarrassment. "Sorry, I got a little distracted. This sandwich you got for me looks so delicious it would be a shame to not eat it."
"Then please, dig in." he chuckles, gesturing to the plate. But to his surprise, you don't eat yet. Instead, you look at him with wide eyes as if you are waiting for him to eat his own meal.
But he can't…
Not when that thing is on his plate.
"Diavolo, is everything alright?" you ask, surely noticing how tightly he is clenching his fist.
He feels his cheeks heating up in embarrassment, and he tears his gaze away from the dreaded pickle. "It's nothing."
Suddenly, your body shifts in your seat, and he feels a slight tap on his shin. It take him a moment to realize what exactly just happened. "Mc, did you just…Kick me?"
"I did," you admit bashfully as if you just remembered that you have assaulted the ruler of the Devildom with your Skechers.  "But only because you weren't telling me what's bothering you."
This unfamiliar sensation of being playfully battered fills his only-child heart with warmth, and he bursts out laughing. "you truly are gifted when it comes to getting someone to open up, Mc." he caves and spins his plate towards you so you can see the accursed pickle.
"oh, your sandwich came with a pickle. I understand now." And just like that, you reach across the table, grab the pickle, and eat it like it was the easiest thing to do in the world.
"what did I do to deserve you? "He asks when you finish disposing of the problem.
"It's just the pickle theory." You say with a laugh; he feels very confused and looks at you to continue. "Some people say that a relationship is perfect when one person hates pickles and the other loves them. That way, you'll always have someone who will eat your pickles, so you don't have to. It's not just pickles, though; it's olives, onions, and anything else that you can think of. But it's fate that we are here today, and you happen to hate pickles."
Although your explanation is ridiculous, Diavolo lets out an unrefined snort of laughter. Quickly, he covers his mouth with his hand, a practiced gesture he's done frequently under the watchful eye of his trusted Butler. Instead of wanting to scold him, you let out a hearty laugh of your own. The sound is not beautiful in any way, but it makes his heart thump wildly in his chest as he stares at you.
"So this is Fate?"
"I think so," you murmur, looking at him with an expression he cannot quite place.
"What's with that look?" He asks, raising a brow.
" It's nothing; I just like getting to see the side of you. I hope to see it more," you say earnestly.
He reaches across the table to grab your hand, and he stares deeply into your eyes with the look of a man in love as he makes a promise to you. "Whatever world we are in, I will do my absolute best to give you whatever it is you desire, Mc.
Your eyes are full of tender emotion as he looks at you. "Would you really do anything for me?" you ask in a sweet voice and he finds himself nodding naĂŻvely, he is completely under the spell of your charm. It's almost as if you are the demon who is corrupting the mortal.
But he knows you and rightfully trusts you with all his heart. One of the reasons he finds himself so drawn to you is that you would never in a million years take advantage of his love.
"Even though I just had a pickle, would you kiss me?" you ask, an endearing little smirk on your lips that has the Prince subconsciously leaning over the table towards you.
"If that is what you want, then nothing would deter me from granting such a request." he smiles, capturing your lips with his, not caring about anything other than the taste of you.

thinking about modern au Kabru
ivy league college student, probably studying law and political science on a full scholarship. first time living away from Milsiril so he has to promise her, yes mom i’ll call you at least four times a week, no mom i don’t need your amex black card, yes mom the normal credit card is fine i need to learn how to budget like a Normal Person (it has a limit of $20k — that’s not normal Kabru).
Milsiril insists for a long time that she’ll just get him a house off campus so he can have his own space (aka a place she can drop by anytime and possibly live a few months out of the year just to be close to him) but Kabru puts his foot down and tells her the best way he’s gonna make friends is by living with other students (bye mom).
his floor in the coed dorms is the party floor and he always makes sure to invite everybody (his nightmare is accidentally leaving anyone out and having them think that he doesn’t like them). somehow it’s always a good time, everyone leaves with more friends than they came with, it never gets totally out of control, and plenty of girls who are interested in him (and a lot of guys too tbh) bring tons of baked treats so there’s always free food. Kabru is the RA’s favourite person to have in the building (even though Kabru himself is messy but most of the people he’s friends with are nice and clean up after themselves).
he has a porsche (Milsiril gift for his 16th bday) but he’s adamant about not driving it unless he absolutely has to (because he doesn’t wanna look like a douche). BUT he never says no when his friends ask for rides (so he ends up driving all the time anyway). he actually contemplates selling the porsche and going for a more practical car but Mickbell is like ‘dude you are not taking this away from me.’ Kabru sighs and decides to keep it because his friends (Mickbell) like being chauffeured around in a fancy convertible (Rin, Holm, and Dia don’t care, they’re just glad they don’t have to walk to the grocery store).
he’s probably on a casual texting basis with most of his professors and you know he’s going to all their office hours, grabbing beer with them just to keep chatting about life outside of school. and that’s how he winds up in some super secret faculty group chat where he’s now privy to all the college administration gossip.
Kabru is elected for student council during his freshman year and he’s probably the favourite to be sc president one day.
he doesn’t really date (gets too in his head about how he doesn’t wanna ruin any friendships) but he does hang out one on one with a lot of girls and treats them all really well. he probably goes so far out of his way to be platonic that he flies a little too close to the ‘Just Like One of the Girlies’ sun, he kinda forgets that most people interpret it as flirting coming from him. which leads to a few awkward conversations. people feeling led on, a few angry jealous boyfriends, scathing dms about him being a girl stealing homewrecker.
it’s such a nightmare for him and he needs it to end right now. so he begs Rin to ‘date’ him for a week or two and then publicly dump him just so the entire student body gets the message that he is Just A Friend.
Rin stares at him for a few seconds. then she laughs. she laughs and laughs. she laughs for a crazy long time. and then eventually she goes, ‘wow you’re an asshole, Kabru. no i won’t be your fake girlfriend. you’re gonna suffer and i’m going to enjoy it.’
and that’s when Kabru has a moment of enlightenment. ok yeah. asking for that is probably really selfish and mean. maybe he needs to think about girls’ feelings more and that’s maybe more important than his deep seated need to be liked, and when has Rin ever been wrong about anything.
he apologizes. and so begins one of the more serious talks he’s ever had with Rin about being okay with not being liked.
he thinks he can really turn over a new leaf. the whole ‘not worrying about what other people think’ thing goes pretty well — up until Kabru meets the aloof professor for his Monsters and Myths class who keeps forgetting and mispronouncing his name.
Kabru has never needed someone to like him So Bad, he needs Prof. Touden to like him as a matter of life and death, and he’s willing to look stupid for it (fails a midterm on purpose to justify begging for one on one tutoring)

dim light
Pairing: Theodore Nott x fem!reader
Summary: After the first Quidditch match of the year, Y/N founds herself in the wrong side of the bar at the club she works at. And she’s not specially happy about it. However, Theo Nott is even more pissed, and he has all the rights to be.
Warnings: violence (not developed, but a fight does take place), swearing.
Before you read: this piece is set in a CollegeAU! English is not my first language, so please take that into consideration and be nice. Also, the whole piece is written in third POV because it’s the one I’m more comfortable with. Reader’s house isn’t specified, but definitely isn’t Slytherin or Gryffindor for the plot’s sake.
Tumblr media
Y/N had to cover for one of her colleagues that night, Aubrey, who was feeling unwell after accidentally tasting some unfinished potion they had been working on that morning’s class. So, much to her regret, Y/N had to experience the post-season party from behind the bar at the Witch’s Hour Nightclub. Y/N wasn't the biggest fan of Quidditch by any means, but she did love everything that came with it at the castle: the colorful stands, skipping classes to watch the other’s houses games, the tension during the match, and above all, the celebrations that followed.
"Can I have two strawberry daiquiris, please?"
Ginny Weasley's words were met with a nod from Y/N, who smiled hoping to conceal her frustration. As she prepared the drinks, she glimpsed her group of friends amidst the dance floor frenzy. Just about ten minutes ago, they had all been keeping her company, sympathizing with her bad luck until Y/N urged them to enjoy the night on her behalf, and they had moved towards the dance floor to never come back. With all honesty, Y/N didn’t blame them for doing so.
Once the daiquiris were ready, Y/N placed them in front of the redhead without a word, her forced smile still in place. After paying for her order, the Gryffindor left the bar to join Luna Lovegood on the other side of the room.
Y/N barely had time to stash the money in the cash register before another group of girls shouted their order at her, noticeably less politely than Ginny. Y/N found herself close, very close, to spitting on the three Sex on the Beach cocktails in front of her. She couldn't stand how people could seem to lose their manners with the slightest bit of alcohol in their system. It didn't take her long to realize that, when it came to those girls, the unjustified attitude was because it had been Y/N who had taken their order, not the curly-haired guy going back and forth behind her.
Theodore Nott seemed considerably more annoyed about working that night than Y/N. And rightfully so, given his position as chaser on the Slytherin team, which had also happened to lose the game that day. Well, if Y/N was in a bad mood, Theo seemed ready to hex anyone who entered his line of sight at any moment.
Y/N took the wad of bills the group left, or rather slammed on the counter, and turned to head back to the register. This time however, she ended up colliding with something herself, most specifically her coworker's chest. The boy’s hands shot to her waist to prevent her from falling, and Y/N felt the exposed skin between her black crop top and low-rise sequin miniskirt burn. She unconsciously grabbed onto Theo's forearm, her chest constricted by the sudden scare.
"Hey angel, seems like you really tripped over me there," he said with a grin once Y/N steadied herself, not even making an attempt to let her go. In fact, she felt like he was tracing circles on her hip with his thumb. Y/N became acutely aware of the places where Theo's skin touched hers. "You good?"
She lifted her gaze to his watercolor eyes and cursed herself for the effect they, and the boy himself, seemed to have on her. It was utterly stupid, as everyone knew that Theodore Nott wasn't available and didn't seem like he would ever be. The boy seemed way above any one-night stand or anything as trivial as college relationships. Y/N believed she could count on one hand all the girls she knew he had been involved with. In some way, she respected him for that.
"Yeah, sorry," she apologized with flushed cheeks, silently grateful for the dim lighting of the venue. "It's just that tonight's been a mess and I'm a bit distracted."
Her words got lost in the music resonating through the speakers. Theo put a finger to his ear to signal that he hadn't heard anything, then buried his hand in Y/N's hair and gently brought their faces closer. Y/N repeated her response, earning a nod and a guttural sound of agreement.
"Tell me about it," Theo sighed then, pulling his face back just enough for their eyes to lock. They were so close that their noses almost brushed.
"I still don't quite get why you're working tonight, to be honest. I thought there was an unwritten rule that said Quidditch players didn't have to work on match days."
"Well, let's just say dear boss couldn’t seem to care less about that rule," the guy said, giving a sidelong glance at Philippa Harvey, a rather ill-tempered Ravenclaw who happened to be the club's manager. She was on the good side of the bar, dancing suggestively with a guy Y/N couldn't quite place. "Let's say she made me an indecent proposal, and I turned her down. And voilà, here I am."
A pang of something close to jealousy reluctantly settled in Y/N's stomach. It's not like she had any right to feel that way, anyway. She opened her mouth to express how sorry she felt for him, both for Slytherin's defeat and the fact that Philippa had finished screwing the night for him, but the sound of someone banging on the counter forcefully stole her opportunity.
"Hey, you two! Less groping and more pouring drinks."
It was a Gryffindor from the Quidditch team, tall and big, with a rather ordinary face. Y/N assumed that's why she couldn't remember his name. In any case, he seemed pretty drunk to her.
After trailing her cheek with his thumb one last time, Theo let go of her and with the distasteful expression he had worn all night back in place, told Y/N that he would handle it. She sighed and resumed the task of putting away the money in the cash register. Once done, she walked over to where Theo was serving the Gryffindor big guy to attend another one who had just arrived at the bar.
As she was about to start making a gin and tonic for him, a shot glass was placed right in front of her. Y/N raised an eyebrow at Theo, and he just shrugged in response. "It's going to be a long night," he seemed to convey with the gesture. "We might as well make it as enjoyable as possible." She agreed, so she took the shot and brought it to her lips without hesitation. Theo did the same with his own shot, never taking his eyes off her, and Y/N wasn't sure if the rush of heat that swept through her body was due to the alcohol or his gaze.
"Have another one on me, Nott," the Gryffindor guy interrupted them again, placing another pair of bills on top of those already on the counter. "And another for your gorgeous coworker. It sucks that you have to be the one serving drinks after how we beat the shit out of you guys this afternoon, don't you think?"
Theo clenched his fist around the glass, his knuckles turning white. Lips pressed into a stern line, he continued preparing the jerk's drink without looking up from his task. Y/N continued hers, not taking her eyes off the scene unfolding by her side.
"I also think it sucks that such a pretty girl like you has to be on that side of the bar," the Gryffindor guy persisted, unabated. Y/N looked at him out of the corner of her eye, still working, grabbing a bottle of gin from under the bar and pouring it into the glass in front of her. "When you get a break, you could look me up. We Gryffindors know how to show a girl a good time."
Disgusted, Y/N opened her mouth to tell him that she'd rather get eaten by a basilisk than to let him lay a finger on her, but someone beat her to it.
"Don't you even think about talking to her," snapped Theo, slamming the drink down in front of the Gryffindor with such force that Y/N thought the glass might shatter. "In fact, don't ever look at her again."
Y/N was taken aback by such words. She glanced at Theo with a racing heart, but he didn't return the look because his gaze was fixed on the idiot. The latter laughed brazenly.
"And what are you gonna do about it?"
Y/N saw a glint of anger in Theo's watercolor eyes, so she hurried to slip under the boy's arm resting on the counter and interpose herself between him and the Gryffindor. For a moment, Theo ignored her and continued to glare at the rival idiot. With a slightly trembling hand, Y/N grabbed his face by the jaw and forced their gazes to meet. If he had taken her that intimately before, he shouldn't mind her doing the same, right?
"Theo," she called him. He however, not willing to give in attempted to turn his face again. "Theo, just leave it. It's not worth it."
Y/N felt Theo's grip on his jaw tighten even more, but he nodded imperceptibly anyway.
"Fine."
"Yeah, Nott, listen to your little whore."
In the blink of an eye, Theo had jumped over the counter and landed a solid left hook on the round-faced Gryffindor. Y/N gasped in surprise at the sight. The Slytherin boy wasn't particularly known for getting into fights, not even when they happened during a match and the rest of his team and some of his friends were involved. That was more typical of Mattheo Riddle, or Lorenzo Berkshire. By Merlin, even Malfoy could be more prone to fights than Theo.
But there he was, straddling a guy who was a head taller and twice his size, punching him repeatedly in the face. Y/N figured the only reason Theo barely had gotten a scratch on his cheek was that, as she had suspected earlier, the Gryffindor was quite drunk. For a moment, Y/N just stood there, doing nothing but watching the spectacle unfold before her eyes, as if in a trance that prevented her from looking away. It didn't last too long luckily, and once she managed to move, she went straight to the dance floor, heading for the area where she thought she had spotted Theo's group of friends over an hour ago.
If it hadn't been for Draco Malfoy's bleached blond hair, Y/N didn't think she would have found them in the mass of dancing bodies. Pushing any insecurities the group might make her feel deep down, Y/N grabbed the wrist of the person who was closest to her and shook them hard enough to get their attention. Mattheo Riddle's dark eyes met hers shortly after, giving her an unfriendly once-over from head to toe. The guy didn't even bother to speak, looking at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Hmm... I'm Y/N Y/L/N," she introduced herself awkwardly, trying not to dwell on it for too long. "I work here with Theo. This is actually about him. He's fighting with a Gryffindor idiot, and I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it, but the guy is like twice his size, and I can't separate them."
Surprise transformed Mattheo's face, which only confirmed the belief that Theo and fighting didn't usually appear in the same sentence. He turned to his friends to convey the message, and they all hurriedly followed Y/N to the bar where Theo was still straddling the Gryffindor, as if Y/N had never left. In less than a second, Mattheo and Blaise had each of Theo's arms and were leading him out of the club, followed by Lorenzo, Draco, and Pansy.
Once again, Y/N stood still, not quite sure how to proceed. One thing was clear though: she definitely didn't want to be near the idiot once he woke up, or when his friends showed up and looked for someone to blame. Y/N approached the bar again to inform her only other coworker, a girl from her house with whom she maintained a friendly relationship of greetings and pleasant smiles in the corridors, that she was going to make sure Theo was okay. The girl nodded, and without further ado, Y/N headed for the back exit of the Witch's Hour, reserved only for staff and, on this occasion, Theo's friends.
Outside in the dimly lit alley, she found the curly-haired boy sitting on an old wooden crate, with Pansy Parkinson crouched in front of him at a distance that, for some reason she couldn’t wrap around her finger, seemed too short to Y/N. Pansy seemed to be giving him a quiet scolding even though there was no one else there but the two of them and their other four friends, standing prudently apart. Theo had his gaze fixed on the ground, and although Y/N couldn't see his eyes because of his bangs, she noticed that his jaw was clenched once again.
Y/N approached cautiously the rest of the group. The smell of tobacco from Mattheo and Lorenzo's cigarettes wafted into her nose, causing her to wrinkle her nose in distaste. Blaise was the first to notice her presence.
"You didn't need to come out," he spoke in a calm tone, giving her a friendly smile. Y/N shrugged and returned the smile timidly.
"Blaise’s right," Lorenzo chimed in between drags of his cigarette. The contrast between his boyish face and the action itself shocked Y/N. "Pansy knows how to handle him."
Y/N made an affirmative sound before giving a proper response. Why had she come out, anyway? The answer briefly crossed her mind, but she couldn't even process it correctly, let alone speak it out loud. She decided to go for the most obvious excuse.
"I just wanted to make sure he's okay. After all, this happened because..."
"I don’t fucking care, Theodore!" Pansy's shout cut her off mid-sentence. The five turned their heads toward them. Pansy had stood up and was pointing an accusing finger at Theo. "You're supposed to be the smart one in the group. You shouldn't stoop to this crap."
"Ouch," Mattheo whimpered, taking a drag from his cigarette.
"Don't play the victim, Riddle," Draco said, leaning against the alley wall with his arms crossed over his chest. "She hasn't said anything that isn't true."
"It's still pretty uncalled for on her part."
The conversation died there, unlike the ongoing one between Pansy and Theo. Y/N decided to wait until Theo's friends went back inside the club to talk to him alone about what had happened. She didn't feel up to doing it with all those strangers watching her from the other side of the alley, and there was no need to create such a scene.
The night was strangely cool for the time of year they were in, and considering how lightly she was dressed, Y/N began to shiver slightly. Thanks to Merlin, only a couple more minutes passed before Pansy concluded her scolding and headed back to the club. Y/N couldn't quite grasp the look she shot her as she walked by. It wasn't a look of complete disdain, at least not entirely, but it lacked the warm smile Blaise had given her earlier.
"Ignore her," Blaise reassured, that same smile still on his face. Shifting his attention back to Y/N, he noticed her shivering and promptly took off his green and black Quidditch team bomber jacket to offer it to her. "Here, take it. Give it back to Theo, and he'll return it to me."
Y/N barely had any time to refuse, but was grateful that Blaise didn't give her the chance to as she truly could use some warmth. She slid her arms into the sleeves of the jacket, which was considerably larger than her, and involuntarily breathed in its scent: expensive cologne with hints of mint and chocolate. Y/N couldn't help but find it somewhat addictive.
Once alone in the alley, Y/N walked over to where Theo was still seated, head down and hands tangled in his hair.
"Hey," she managed to say.
After a significantly long sigh, Theo raised his gaze to meet hers. With a tired smile, he greeted her in a hushed voice.
"Are you okay?"
"Mhhm," Theo barely made a sound in response, unsure of what else to say.
There was an air of something new between them, and neither was quite sure how to proceed. Y/N raised her hand with the intention of cupping his face to see for herself if what the boy had said was true, but her hand stopped midway. She attempted to disguise the motion by placing her hand on her chest.
"Thanks for standing up for me," Y/N finally said, feeling her cheeks grow warm.
"Anytime," Theo murmured, his voice slightly huskier than usual. In a sudden surge of courage he took Y/N's hand in his and tugged it gently, bringing her closer to him. He played with her fingers as he spoke again. "I wish you hadn't had to see that, though."
"Let's just say you could have settled for threatening him or something," she excused him, downplaying it with a giggle that made the boy smile. "But I'm still grateful you did it."
Silence once again settled between them, but this time it felt more comforting in a way. For a few moments, they simply locked eyes, trying to find in each other's eyes all that they were feeling themselves. Y/N was genuinely surprised to find herself in this situation with none other than Theodore Nott. There had always been a sort of mutual understanding between them, a silent complicity they didn't share with any of their clubmates. But Y/N had always assumed it was a simple friendship, that Theo considered her a part of the short list of people he tolerated, and that was it.
However, under the dim light of the moon that night, it felt like much more to her.
"I think we should go back inside," Y/N said in a hushed voice, fearing that if she raised her tone too much, the magical moment would come to an end.
"We should, yeah," Theo agreed, but despite his words, made no attempt to go back inside. If anything, he pulled Y/N's hand a bit more until she was practically between his legs.
With his free hand, Theo cautiously cradled her face, as if unsure if she would pull away. On the contrary, Y/N tilted her head letting it rest in his hand, unable to believe that all these displays of affection were coming from him.
"Can I ask you something?" Theo's voice caught her slightly off guard, but she nodded all the same.
"Sure."
"Never wear Zabini's jacket again," his words caught her with a bit of surprise, and her cheeks turned an even rosier shade.
"Why? Are you going to lend me yours or something?" she joked, pushing a couple of strands of hair from Theo's face, using the excuse to touch him again.
Theo's gaze darkened a bit, and for a moment, Y/N cursed herself for choosing those words. Maybe they weren't at that point yet, right? Perhaps they hadn't reached the teasing phase, and her comment might had made Theo close up. It wouldn't surprise her coming from him.
Y/N didn't dare breathe again until Theo spoke, eyes filled with certainty.
"Consider it done."
Her heart raced, and seeing the smile that transformed her face into one of unexpected joy, his did too.

Bad End: Royal Red
Tumblr media
Have you ever seen blood BURN like the sun?
I'm not even sure "burn" is the right word for it. Writhe? Scream? HATE? Like a standing on a cliff, staring down at a valley consumed in flames. Old forests full of life... burning. Dying. Wrong.
The sky choked with thick black smoke. Tar-like and staining. The ROAR of it. Moisture ripped so utterly from the air, it hurts to breathe. Heat so absolute as it rises... you can not imagine there was ever, EVER life here.
But there was.
And it was once beautiful.
Ancient and green, bird song and morning mist. Moss beneath bare feet and the gentle quiet that is no quiet at all. A thing ALIVE. Breathing. Whole. Now gone beneath the flame. The carnage and hunger. As animals flee for their lives and your men die, desperate to hold back the all consuming spread.
Nothing but FIRE remains.
But have you seen BLOOD burn? The weeping wounds of a soul? The... WRONGNESS inside a man, catch light? A shade of ever overlapping crimson. Drying blood somehow just as fluid as the fresh. Old wounds and new. Somewhere, the depth of scars...
BURNING.
I have.
I do.
I wish I did not.
There is something... WRONG with his Highness. Now, the Crown Prince. He... He HAD brothers. Some were awful, others indifferent. But all of them? All of them are gone. Terrible accidents, allegedly. One after another. And they were NOT the only one's. Consorts, lovers, mistresses and supporters. Allies and anyone unfortunate enough to be in his Highness' way.
But of course, I can prove nothing. And to SUGGEST such a thing? That would be Treason. Defamation of a Royal. That it is TRUE? Holds no bearing. Is utterly irrelevant. Even if I HAD had the proper training, even I'd my Gifts WERE formally recognized, ultimately? Politics is King.
It's not supposed to be. But when has life ever been so kind? When has "supposed to" EVER won the day? No. Such talk gets men killed. And dying once? Was quite enough for me.
Though I HAD to wonder...
How does a Protagonist fuck up SO BADLY, that they somehow send their Hidden Route target, into an empire conquering, murder spiral? That's not "a few bad choices" levels of making a mistake. THAT'S? Damn near deliberate sabotage and I just wanna talk. Violently.
I WOULD too, if I wasn't pretty certain they were either on the run or in exile.
All I had wanted? ALL I HAD EVER WANTED?? Was to just be set dressing. Soldier A, the unimportant background gaurd. A nice, faceless, grunt. Maybe chat with my equals of plot significance, a potted plant and yonder chair. Then? I could take my pay, go home, and live quietly.
But NO!
I get stationed following the Seventh prince. Mr. Hidden Route himself. Which? Okay, fine. Was HOPING for gate duty, cause NOTHING happens on gate duty, but FINE. But THEN? Half my co-workers are ASSHOLES. Like... child abusing assholes! The FUCK?!
So? Oops. Accident on the stairs! Whoops! Lemme help you there, man. Oh? Did I ACCIDENTALLY crush the hand you used to hit that kid? Golly! Gee, I sure hope the healers can fix that for you! (I fucking know they both can't and wouldn't if they could. You can't afford SHIT.) Lemme HELP you there, AGAIN, BUUUUUDDY~☆!
Threatening you? Why I would NEVER! That's illegal!
You know... like hitting kids.
And OTHER shit they try to pull. Never DID get around to updating my Gaurd Forms. Whoops. Turns out being able to literally SEE the malicious intent on a fucker? Makes it pretty easy to know who to watch. DID get jumped a lot though. Stabbed a few times.
I just? Wanted to watch my favorite Otome game play out, you know? Get payed while doing it. Sunk cost fallacy kicked in. I've been here since I was a PRE-TEEN. Signed up for training, a ten year contract, and everything! I can LEAVE now... but like? Go WHERE? And honestly... I'm not actually sure I CAN.
Things are... Tense.
Or maybe they're just tense for me? 'Cause... Cause something isn't right. It's that burning blood color. The way it fills a room. Reaches, covetous, like staining hands. Writhes and drags itself against everything. Something unholy, between a lustful grind and the dragging of the wounded. It's not even demonic. No... somehow? It's WORSE for being utterly human.
There is something deeply wrong with the man I am sworn to obey, and I do not know how to escape him.
Because I definitely SHOULD.
I'm not stupid. He's been... been keeping me, SPECIFICALLY, close at hand, since becoming Crown Prince. The SECOND he was able to assign his OWN gaurds? I am suddenly honor gaurd. Yet not. I have basically no job but to stab just behind and to the side of him and look pretty. (For the given quality of THAT.) And...? Even the other gaurds are looking nervous.
It's NEVER a good thing when powerful people suddenly pay attention to an individual gaurd, servant, or maid. They tend to end up... hurt. Dead. Worse. And given recent behavior? Well... I've been getting offers to quietly arrange an "accident" for me.
Not so sure it won't get everyone involved killed.
He wasn't always LIKE this. Yeah, he was... different, but it wasn't BAD. Just... off. A bit weird. A color I hadn't seen before and couldn't for the life of me figure out. It had been... well, nothing. Not even grey. I KNOW grey, it's apathy or depression. Emotional flatness.
But his Highness? Like mist. The lite distortion of water droplets. Colorless and near weightless, drifting gently along. It was as though he DIDNT have emotional responses to anything. Not even flat. Just... non-existant. Which? If so? That's okay! Really. Takes all types. Something to NOTE, yeah, maybe accommodate? But fine.
It's not like there were psychiatric meds or doctors we could get for him. If he was different, so be it. We just had to work around that. Plan accordingly. Worst case scenario, maybe keep him away from small breakable things. But? He seemed benign. I shrugged and moved on. Accepted him as he was.
Maybe went out of my way to explain things with logic more then feelings. Even when I WAS explaining feelings. Ethics. Pretty much anything else he asked. Which... wait a second...
Fuck.
A nameless gaurd SHOULD NOT know that much about psychology or politics. Economics on the macro or micro scale. Oh god DAMN it Wikipedia! You betray me a lifetime away?! Et Tu random research binges!?
Okay. Okay! So maaaaybe? THATS why he's keeping me close? Cause yeah, I'm pretty stacked these days. No internet kinda leaves nothing BUT time to train and read... and books are kinda hard to get, at my level. So like? Maybe a second set of eyes?
....doesn't feel right though. Close but missing the obvious mark-ish.
I try to think of my interactions with the prince. BEFORE murder-spiral kick-off. He sought me out a lot. I interfered so many times when his Tutors crossed lines, they got me kicked out of the main building. He started skipping lessons to self-study. I got put on patrol? He learned my patrol schedule. Would invade the gaurd mess.
Got punished for that, I think. Vicious cycle. I get punished, he gets upset, wants to make sure I'm okay, I get punished for his basic empathy and being a kid. They kept reassigning me. I got stabbed that first time. Sent too...
Wait.
I try to pull up what I know of the Game in my brain. The Hidden Route and the other Routes. We are.... WAY off script. Not off GENRE... just...?
Mentally I set the Game aside. Shifting in my guarding position at the Crown Prince's side. He continues to work. The soft rustle of papers and the scratching of his pen, filling the silence along side the clink and shift of my armor. We are in the sun room, surrounded by flowers, supposedly for the better light.
To be honest, I hadn't ever BEEN in this room until I was basicly expected to tail the Crown Prince like a glorified, armor wearing, pet. And too be honest? Given that the REST of his honor gaurd were ACTUAL KNIGHTS? It was well beyond ridiculous at this point.
I was a club bouncer surrounded by elite special forces, in fancy little armor, that I could in NO way, have ever afforded on my own. Oh, and I wasn't really allowed to talk to them. So... WHY? Why, EXACTLY, was I here? There was no realistic way anything could get PASSED all those knights. I certainly wasn't PROTECTING the Crown Prince from SHIT.
And... and he hadn't attacked me, thank God. No touchy hands "service to the crown" shtick. Demanding things I couldn't refuse him. So THAT wasn't it...
Right?
My brain insisted it wasn't. That I should keep going over the list of possible reasons. Consider This or That. But... Something in my gut? Rang like a struck bell. Some non-physical part of me. That peice that twined, like gentle golden ivy, up through my body, too wrap around my eyes from the inside. Not enough, maybe, to get me into some high and mighty school or apprenticeship... but ENOUGH.
Because Magic was, is, and always has been? Divine. For all that HUMANS fail while using it. For every MORTAL error in it's implementing or understanding. It's a drop of the Divine. And? You can not LIE to the Gods. Hide, perhaps, but not LIE. Even then, you'd have to know what you're hiding FROM.
Kinda hard to hide from "using past life knowledge to deduce motivation" when that's not exactly a thing people can easily guess I HAVE. I get away with shit. Know things I really shouldn't.
Am.... am desperately trying to convince myself that the twinge I just felt? DOESN'T mean what I think it means. Even as a cold sweat breaks out over my skin. As I desperately keep my expression placid and my stare straight into the middle distance. Ha ha.... oh god. No no no, oh god, no...!
Okay. OKAY! Lying to yourself will NOT keep you safe! We can do this! Nothing is happening. We just... just have to play it cool. NOT. PANIC.
He DID want us for sexual reasons.
But... more? More, maybe. I poke at the feeling. Try to frame my thoughts as absolute statement as see if I get a twinge again. To get a feel for the edges of whatever is happening. I can not protect myself, if I do not KNOW from what I protect AGAINST. Just sex? No. Was I a convenience choice? Also No. Revenge for something? A sudden certainty that I'd be DEAD if it was.
Oh, THATS not concerning at ALL!
Okay, keep prodding. Uuuuh... He has a thing for big muscle-y dudes with scars? Strong yes. Okay! Getting somewhere! Kinda thought he liked the petite, girly girl-ish typ-? Weirdly hollow No? Strong. Okay, what the FUCK. See THIS? THIS is why I wanted to be a fucking GAURD. No weird Protagonist of any adventures bullshit! Just a 9-5 with a paycheck at the end!
Uuuugh. Okay, soooo... likes? Strong dudes.... and I was the closest? No. Okay! Getting somewhere! Other strong dude... isn't available? Yes, but I am looking at it wrong. Great. At least I know what that feeling MEANS. Still wish it would just follow up with a "and btw, here's the answer~☆" but, fuck no! Why would life make anything EASY for a guy?
Fuck it! Random shit at the wall time. He's definitely in love with the Protagonist? No. Wait, really? Then why...? No. Stay on track. He's in definitely in love with ME? I wait, utterly expectant, for the twinge that will mark a negative. Half cursing myself for not checking with the Divine sooner. There had been no excuse. Distractions, yes, but no excuse.
It feels like getting sucker punched in the gut. HARD.
Takes everything in me, not to wheeze and double over. That... that wasn't a "yes". That was so FAR beyond "yes" I'm not sure there are spoken, written, or even conceptual WORDS for it. As absolute a CONCEPT of Yes as I have ever felt or probably ever will.
It... It did NOT feel good.
That was a WARNING.
Like the Gods them selves had taken me by the back of the neck, stepped close, to whisper in my ear as they drove their fist into my gut. "Pay Attention To This. RUN. You Need To RUN. There Are Monsters Here."
My eyes feel like they are burning. Like I haven't blinked in too long. Colors a bit too bright, details too sharp. The edges of reality cutting like splintering, glittering, glass. Everything has a GLOW to it. It's never done that before. Is... is this panic? Fight or Flight forcing me to draw deeper then I ever have before?
Or are the Gods paying attention? Displeased by what they see?
The room around us is... is so quiet. Beautiful. Rare flowers, teeming with life. Decorative and pampered little song birds, flitting from roost to roost. The rich scent of rare tea and expensive cologne, mixing with armor polish and the scent of green, living things. Sunlight makes his Highness' hair glow like it was made of it. Pale gold and filled with light.
If I could not SEE... his Highness would be beautiful.
But I can, and instead? He's terrifying.
I think I'm shaking. I don't understand. The room around me picturesque. Peaceful. Golden and filled with gently beautiful things. Light. It feels mocking. Paper thin. Like some cruel trap laid out over a pit of tar. As though, like in the cartoons of my old childhood, the INSTANT I become aware... acknowledge the reality of my ACTUAL surroundings?
The paper thin veneer will rip, no longer able to hold my weight, and I will be plunged into the horrors just beneath the lie.
How.... HOW did-?! I... I CAN'T-!
I put everything I am, into letting nothing show. E-Everything is FINE. Do not turn around. Please. Please, Gods, do not notice me or turn around! I breathe. Breathe. Can't do nothing now, but breathe. Panic is the mind killer. I remind myself of that. People do stupid things, when they act in panic. Think. THINK! Plan. THEN act! Breathe.
How? HOW did this happen? Trace it back. Find the source and we can... can maybe unhook the noose. Fix this? Escape? Run and keep running. Find the edge of the map and keep going. Where did it...? My brain, maybe my magic, finally takes pity. Connects the wires that have long been JUST missing each other. My mental list of Genre Troupes. My history with the Prince.
The blood drains from my face.
Oh fuck. Shit! Oh fuck, oh SHIT. Yandere. He was a YANDERE hidden route character! Wasn't he!? It's the only thing that makes sense with the-! No, no, he should still-! But, wait. No. No, no, NO. Oh god! I pulled a combo attack. "Childhood best friend" even though we WEREN'T. I was basically the closest in age to him! AND the only non-asshole! So that's "Different From The Others"!
Oh mother FUCKER, I pulled a "Only One Who Cares About Me" while SERVING him! His fucked up little squirrel brain would have taken that as "belonged to him" only to have me "taken away" when I was assigned elsewhere! Every time I kept someone from ABUSING him, I was making it WORSE. Every time they reassigned me, somebody was "trying to take me away"!
Oh sweet merciful FUCK, I got STABBED!
No WONDER he lost his absolute shit! He was unhinged to begin with! But instead of latching on to Protagonist and being HER problem, he latched on to ME! Why did no one warn me he was-!? Actually, I have no idea. Non-Just-Straight?! That! One of the THAT! Like FUCK I'm asking! He'd think it was an invitation, probably!
Because he NUCKING FUTS! Squirrels in the brain! Def Con OH SHIT!!
Yandere! Shit! I'm gonna di-!
"Something's upset you." The crown prince's surprisingly deep voice says, breaking the silence. I flinch. "I can feel your magic moving. An attack, perhaps? Or is someone saying something they should not."
He... oh, great, amazing! He can FEEL my magic. The magic INSIDE me body. That magic. Yeah, I don't feel stripped naked and on display AT ALL. Thanks! Definitely not invasive, your Highness! Still, I have to answer. Carefully. Very, VERY carefully.
He hums, disbelieving, as I reply. Lifting his pen and setting it aside. A graceful hand lifts. The mere flick of his fingers. "Move" it means. "Come where I can see you". Imperious and royal. Casual in it's assumed control of me. Why would he believe anything else, after all? He IS a prince. The CROWN Prince. Future KING.
He DOES own me.
I keep my breathing even. Keep my hands from visually shaking by tightening my grip on my spear. Even, professional, steps. Forward. Turn. Face your ruler. Your BETTER. No eye contact. Even breathing and eyes to the horizon. You are a statue. Just... just be a statue. No thoughts. You can do this.
It doesnt help. I can FEEL those pale, pale eyes. Striking and blue. Rare flower petals or glacier ice, they have been called. Compared to all sorts of haunting things. The Crown Prince is a beautiful man. That dangerous sort of pale beauty, that make for excellent portraits, of bright and holy things. That fools the eyes into thinking surely, SURELY the soul before your is Good. Trustworthy.
How could anything so beautiful be DANGEROUS?
Be corrupted and insane? A killer. A madman.
A MONSTER.
I stand at attention. Where he can observe me. His little toy soilder. Kept like a PET, I know realize, and try not to feel like I am being picked apart. Like a mouse in some tigers cage. The far wall sure is fascinating. Mmmmhmm. Very... very wall-like. Glass and artfully arranged flowering vines. Very pretty. What a wall! Ten stars for wall-ness.
The near silent shift of fine fabrics. A tap. Nail on high grade armor alloy. Just the smallest of sounds that nonetheless seems deafening. I barely stop myself from jerking back in alarm. Can't prevent my gaze from snapping downwards. To the arm outstretched, the elegant hand curled, the well manicured finger nail on the single outstretched finger... that has placed itself right over my heart. I freeze, utterly.
"You're getting nervous, aren't you? Growing uncertain. I've been so busy planning ahead, I've forgotten the here and now, haven't I?" He muses. That finger I should not be able to feel, that somehow feels like a knife trailed along my skin, glides slowly down. A meandering path down towards my belt. "I've neglected you."
The finger hooks into my belt. I am dragged forward a few stumbling steps with a deceptively strong tug. There is significant muscle, hidden by the almost waifish cut of his Highness daily wear. The eyes watching for my reaction are predatory. Intent. It was as though there should be fangs, in that pleasant, politician's grin...
"My steadfast knight, warrior of my heart, you've been so patient for me... so LOYAL." He rolled the word across his tongue as he said it, eyes locked on me with the sort of interest hunter keep, more a sigh then a word. Somehow.. Somehow the concept became OBSCENE, once in his hands. "So good for me. Even after all this time. Soon, Dearest. Soon we won't have to hide. I promise."
I had NEVER been a knight. Not even CLOSE to qualified for the training. Not even a single branch, magical or otherwise. Worse? I knew for a FACT? We had never, not ONCE, been lovers. No stolen glances. No fumbling youthful hands. No "hey, let's explore this closet!". Nothing. I? Had been studiously professional, if a decent human being.
This was ALL him.
What narrative had he painted in his head?
My heart pounds. My brain somehow both gibbering hysteria and unnatural calm. I... I think I may be disassociating. But all I can think, all I KNOW, is that I can NOT, Under ANY Circumstances, break the illusion. Do NOT argue. Why YES, deeply insane FUTURE KING, I DO love you so VERY much! Hey, don't mind me, just left the phone running. Gonna go for a walk. Buy some milk.
I watch, pleasant service industry smile feeling plastic on my face, as he leans forward. Rests his head against my armored chest, as though we were lovers. Just stealing a quite little moment alone. His hand slides along my belt, fingers hooked into it, the brush of his knuckles feeling far filthier then any groping hand. I can HEAR him breathing me in.
Obscene. How is he making such chaste contact so deeply obscene? He let's out a pleased hum and I want a shower.
"Kneel for me?" So soft I almost don't catch it, it takes a moment to register the words. This time, I can not stop myself from tensing. I know he feels it, but can not bring myself to care. "Shhhh shh shh, none of this, my Darling. To your knees before your King. Sweetheart, my dearest. You're going to be serving me there for the rest of our lives. It's okay. Your King won't rush you. He knows how shy you are. How nervous."
W-Well THAT wasn't treason! At ALL! Ha ha...! Oh god.
Hands at my waist. When did the other one-?! I'm shaking. Smile. D-dont set him off. This is fine. I... I shouldn't be ABLE to feel their heat, through my armor. Somehow I do. I want to back up. If I got to do this? At least let me-!
But, no. Pressure. Hands on my hips dragging me down, watching eyes expectant. In stops and starts... like a seizing automaton, my knees bend. Down I go... I guess.
Almost instantly, there are hands unbuckling my helmet. Sliding it off. Stealing it away. Fingers slide through my hair. Cup my cheek. A thumb running itself across my mouth. The prince seemed to loom. Hungry as he stared down at me.
"Beautiful. My loyal knight is so, SO beautiful. I am going to give us the world. Take what is ours. No one will EVER hurt us again, Dearest. I will keep you forever. Dress you in armor and roses. Mine and mine alone."
There was madness in his eyes. Obsession. Is...is that what that color meant? That burning, terrible blood? It's too late. Oh god, it's too late for that to help me. I smile. Do not argue. Fear and fear and fear. I have to get out. On my knees, it is a terrible view of what's to come, should I fail. The Games's utterly fucked. I no longer care.
I have to get out.
The King, after all, has gotten sick lately.

thoughts on this post aka detective leon and serial killer reader. warning for dark content obvi, mentions of weapons, blood, bodies, murder. also sub leon makes an appearance as usual lol. fem!reader too!!
sorry for the wait lol i’ve been folding laundry anyway let me cook
you know that fucking cop is onto you, he knows more than you want him to but for some reason, even when you know you’ve messed up and are sure you’re gonna be caught, you’re not. no one knows about the evidence you accidentally left behind, clues that trace back to you. when you go back to try and ruin the crime scene to throw the police off the scent, it’s all gone. just a dead body and all of the blood you love to spill.
it bugs you a little bit. where did it go? but you watch as the cops search the crime, hiding in the bushes behind the house when you see the cop you… you just know is the one who did it. he looks like he’s seen that crime scene already, and there’s something bunched into his pocket. that looks almost like your glove that got caught on something and left behind as you were escaping.
you realize he’s looking you dead in the eyes as you make painfully awkward eye contact with him. he smirks and looks away. you wonder why he isn’t telling his colleagues about how he saw you, you wonder why he seems almost amused by you. it’s driving you mad.
you’ve seen him before. you recognize him now. you don’t know his name, but he’s got blonde hair, long enough to cover his blue eyes. looks like a doll. he’s a detective, always showing up to crime scenes in those pretty, expensive suits. he wears a nice watch, cleans himself up well.
you get your hands on his file, all of his records, the time he spent as a patrol officer, back when he was younger. his hair was shorter then. his eyes a bit brighter. he was cute. and now… he’s much more than that. he’s distinguished.

leon saw you once, before you could run out when you realized the cops were coming in. he remembers how you looked. bloody, gloved hands holding a kitchen knife. you didn’t see him, but he saw you. he sees you again in the bushes, and you see him this time. it’s a moment where everything stops, and leon feels his dead heart pitter pattering like it hasn’t done in years.
you kinda lose the light in your soul when you become a detective. he’s more somber now than he was when he was on patrol, but what can you do?
he finds out everything he can about you, cross referencing the evidence he finds that everyone else seems to miss with every little thing he can gather, in hopes of figuring out your name, or anything about you, honestly.
he’s come to the conclusion that your sloppiness is caused from the pleasure you take in killing. you leave too much evidence behind, too many clues, christ it’s like you want to be caught, but leon can’t help but be fond of you now that you’re intentionally leaving clues for him to find. little messages like ‘for my favorite detective, ♡’ on notecards next to the body. no one knows what you mean. leon’s becoming more obsessed by the minute.
he’s learned everything about you, every motive, every killing, why, when, how you did it all, and his coworkers know nothing. they’re not even sure how many you’ve killed, much less know anything about you.
it’s betraying his morals, sure, but who really cares? he’s killed people before, he’s no better than you. sure, he tried to convince himself he did it to protect the innocent, but he’s got his own thirst for blood. can’t really blame you for doing for fun what he does for work. you lose your morals anyway when you’re a detective.
he covers for you, gives excuses and ideas to lead the other detectives in the wrong direction. destroys evidence for you. lies for you. he’s desperate for you attention, and he finally gets it when you come into the police station.
you’re not disguised, not dressed to hide your identity. you look.. normal. you smile at the person working the front desk. you’re polite, charming, courteous. leon almost passes you by before double taking and realizing that it’s you.
“well, hello, it’s nice to meet you, detective kennedy,” you smile, reaching out your hand for him to shake, which he does awkwardly. you realize that he’s a lot less cool than he seemed when you first saw him. his lack of social skill is almost charming.
“are you… what are you doing here? are you turning yourself in o-or something?”
“i wanted to see you,” you say simply to him.
he blinks, confused.
“do you want to speak with me? or should i just go, detective?”
“i.. i think we should talk,” he smiles back eventually, “i want to talk to you. really talk.”
you meet him later, after his shift. you tell him your story, your motives. even though he knows them, he lets you talk. he likes listening to you. he tells you about his work, what he’s done to protect you, and when you ask why, he shrugs, “you’re too pretty for prison.” he matches your bluntness.
it takes everything in you not to burst out laughing, amused by leon kennedy’s mind, how his brain even works.
he continues, “but listen, if you’re gonna keep… you know, killing people, you need to run it by me after the fact. i need to get there and make sure there’s no evidence that other detectives will find. don’t worry, i’ll get you a burner phone and everything. just call me when you do it. i’ll help.”
“hmm.. alright. now.. do i owe you anything for your.. protection, detective? should i.. show you how appreciative i am that you’re helping me get away with murder?” you lean in close, suggestively. leon can’t help that he’s easy to seduce.
“i.. i think you don’t owe me anything, but.. if you’d like..” he stutters. you smile. he’s so cute to play with.
he takes you back to his place. you tell him he wouldn’t like yours, with the victim you have tied to a chair in your bedroom. he raises an eyebrow, and you try to calm his worries by saying, “its fine, i drugged him so he wouldn’t wake up until tomorrow… do you wanna watch me torture him?”
“i’m… okay, baby,” he says, his voice gravelly and soft at the same time.
you hook up obviously when you get back to his apartment, and it’s the best sex of his life. maybe it’s because he likes dominant women already, but there might also be something thrilling about a woman putting her hands around his throat who’s very well capable of squeezing until he stopped breathing entirely.
thankfully, you don’t asphyxiate him. you lay in his bed with him afterwards, and there’s something so strangely normal about the way you curl up into his side as he draws shapes on your back with his fingertips.
“are you ever.. gonna kill me?” he asks, out of the blue, stirring you from your drowsy state.
you look up at him, and he’s worried you’re considering it. there’s a gun on his nightstand. he panics. you would never get away with it, he’s sure. your dna is all over his body, his clothes, his apartment, surely you’re not that sloppy of a killers.
“i haven’t decided yet,” you say simply, resting your head on his chest.
“o-oh…”
you chuckle, sensing anxiety and tension in his body at your response to his question, “i would only ever do it if i thought you were gonna betray me or something, pinky promise. no matter how… beautiful you would look dying..”
he gulps, and you feel endeared by his fear. he’s.. cute when he’s nervous.
the next day, he wakes up. he puts on another suit, and another fancy watch. he drives you home before he goes to work, and he kisses your forehead before he gets back into his car, “am i gonna be seeing you again tonight?” he asks.
you chuckle, “i’m counting on it, handsome. trust me when i say i look very good in red.”

Ch. 1 - Paralyzed
"A what now?" Bucky asked his therapist with furrowed brows, visibly in confusion.
"It's a therapy companion program. I think it would be good for you.." Doctor Raynor said bluntly, leaning back in her chair but looking at him with a stern expression. ”…You need to talk to people."
Bucky glares quietly at her then, shifting uncomfortably in his seat. He didn't need this.
"Who… the hell anyway...?" he started but suddenly stopped when he heard another voice coming from the doorway.
"Hello Doctor..." you said, standing in the doorway with a bright smile on your face, arriving early as you always did.
You did this before, this program, you were involved from the very beginning and you had already been paired with four people already. Three of them were living their best lives, with little to no problems, but one was still in the program yet away from you, as he had accidentally developed feelings. Safe to say, that time didn't end well.
You hoped this one would be, at least, nice.
As soon as the doctor invited you in, you moved closer, greeting them politely again as soon as you sat down, but he didn't take your hand in return.
You shrugged a little at that, you knew that people could come off as rude with new people around, especially in places like these, and there was nothing wrong with that.
Right after you greeted him, to no answer, Bucky glanced at you the moment you looked away as you listened to whatever the doctor was saying, looking you up and down once, while having mixed feelings about the whole ordeal.
It wasn’t as if he disliked you immediately, he didn't even know you. But the thought of being paired with someone he'd never met made his blood boil with annoyance before even starting.
The sole idea of talking to a stranger, of opening up to them… He was uncomfortable enough with his therapist, how bad would it be with you?
On the other hand, you completely missed the look of annoyance he had on his face, looking at you uncertainly while you listened to the doctor.
You had and still have your fair share of traumas, but as some kind of coping mechanism, you hid it fairly well, something your own doctor was still trying to fix. As a result, you were exceptionally good with others, listening to them and even helping them to start believing in themselves. All the things you didn’t have, not from the people you wanted to.
Then Bucky let out a silent sigh, turning to look out the window completely uninterested in the whole situation as he focused on the cars driving past the building instead.
He didn't have to talk about anything he didn't want to, he thought, scoffing slightly in his mind.
Although, with the therapist watching, he knew he'd have to be civil. He glances back at you before looking back out the window.
"You don't need to be here," he says bluntly then, keeping his eyes focused outside.
"Excuse me?" both you and the doctor turned to him, and you frowned while the therapist explained to him for the nth time why he needed to do this.
You weren't hurt by his words, per se, it was the reaction everyone had, especially with a program like this one, so you were used to it. You shrugged and looked away while he argued with his doctor.
It’s true, you didn’t need to be there, you were well aware of that. Your gaze focused on your lap, and you started fidgeting nervously with your sleeve, pulling at an invisible thread on your sweater.
"I don't need a damn babysitter…" he scoffed, leaning back in his seat before his eyes darted over to you, looking you up and down as his eyes narrowed in silent disapproval.
“James, don’t start… I already explained why…” Doctor Raynor repeated, visibly annoyed as the frown on her face deepened.
At that he sighed in annoyance, the idea of this program pissed him off. Being seen as weak and in need of someone to watch over him was enough to drive him up the wall.
He didn't need anyone to take care of him. He was a former trained assassin for God's sake.
At that, you looked back with the most unreadable expression on your face and just gently smiled. Then with one last look at the doctor, you spoke up again.
"I'm well aware and I don't pretend to know anything you're going through..." you said, your tone calm yet firm, standing up right after.
"Look… Bucky? Bucky, right…?" you quickly asked before continuing…”.. we've all been there more or less so I'm not forcing you to do anything, really.”
But before leaving, you pulled something from your pocket, giving it to him.
"This is my number if you ever need anything or someone to stay silent with…up to you," you added, in a much more gentle tone.
After that you walked away but not before saying goodbye to the doctor with a smile back on your face.
Bucky didn't like the way you smiled at him. It was like you saw something he couldn’t and he didn't like not knowing things.
His brows furrowed as he watched you get up. He sat there in slight shock as you spoke.
Why were you being this damn civil with him? Didn't you want to know more? Demand answers? Knowing who he really was? All that and more pissed him off and yet intrigued him at the same time, a million thoughts starting to run around his head.
His frown deepened as you suddenly handed him a small piece of paper. He stared at it a moment before looking up and seeing you walk away. He had no intention of using that damn thing.
One week later, to the day, your phone rang.
After the little misunderstanding both of you had in the therapist's office, your life kept on going like it always did, waking up, going to work, eating… when you remembered to… having a breakdown or two, and trying to manage your anxiety. Normal stuff, just everyday things.
Not that you expected anyone to actually call you but, as you always did, when your phone rang even in the middle of the night, you answered.
This time when you picked up, it was only one sentence.
"I had a nightmare..."
Bucky's voice was quiet over the phone. He was sitting on the floor, covered only by a thin blanket, breathing heavily as he tried to compose himself.
Every nightmare always felt so real, so damn vivid. He could still taste the blood in his mouth. Still feel the ghosts of hands, tearing him apart.
How long had it been since a nightmare hadn't woken him up screaming? He should be used to this by now.
"What do you need me to do?" was the only thing you said to him after that, voice gentle and quiet, partly from sleep.
And then you waited in silence. For him to just calm down over the phone or start talking, whatever he needed from you or didn't, you would help him, no matter how bad your first impression was.
Bucky stayed silent for a moment longer as he tried to catch his breath, his eyes closed tight as he focused on the sound of your voice.
Calm down. Just. Calm. Down. He kept repeating this in his mind. He didn't want to feel like this. He hated feeling like this. Anxious, terrified. Weak.
"Just..." his voice was quiet, wavering slightly. "Don't hang up.”
"I won't..." you promptly replied, your voice still soft as you sat up on the bed, hearing him trying to control his breath.
It wasn't the first time this happened with a therapy companion, it was honestly quite common, you had been there before.
So you stayed, silence falling over you both as he calmed down, occasionally with your reassurance that everything was alright, spoken gently.
After that night, you didn’t hear from him until a month later, except for a few texts he sent went he felt like he was slipping out again, but no nightmares, or at least that's what he told you.
The more you talked, the more you felt like he was starting to open up.
The next time he did call you again, he was a complete mess.
Bucky was breathing heavily once again, sweating profusely, his eyes wide and unfocused as he stared at nothing. He knew where he was. He knew the past was just in his head. But God did it feel so real.
"I-I can't... I can't breathe." He muttered, tears of frustration welling up in his eyes as his shoulders began to shake.
"Bucky..." you started quietly as you sat on your couch, listening as he almost choked on his own breath.
But he wasn't listening, his breath was heavy, as if he was about to pass out. You knew too well what it was and how disruptive it could be. Still, it was all in his head.
"James..." you tried again, more assertive but still calm "..what can I do for you?"
Sometimes saying out their full name during a panic attack would shock them out of it, sometimes not. But you had to try, hoping this time it would work.
Bucky froze for a moment as if hearing his name was enough of a shock to freeze him in his tracks. He was breathing fast, almost panting, he was struggling to speak, to process his thoughts. It was minutes until his eyes finally refocused, looking around frantically as he realised where he was.
He was in his apartment. In his bed. Safe.
The realization was enough to make his breath hitch, a choked sob escaping his lips. It took him a couple of moments to respond, his voice sounding shaky and pained.
"I-I-" He tried, but he couldn't bring himself to say it.
"It's fine..." you whispered, heart still clenching at hearing his soft sobs and how he was still struggling to speak.
You weren't a therapist, you couldn't be that distant with the people you were paired with, so the pang in your stomach was real.
Was it empathy? Or did you just know what it feels like? Either way, you gave all of yourself to help when needed.
"I can be on the phone all night if that’s what you need..." you added, a tinge of a smile on your lips.
You wanted him to know you were there for him.
Bucky closed his eyes tightly as he tried to stop the tears from falling.
He felt humiliated. Weak. For calling you when he should have been able to handle this on his own. It was just a nightmare.
He was a grown man, he fought in a war, he wasn’t some pathetic child who couldn't handle a nightmare.
But your voice was so damn calm and gentle. Telling him everything would be ok. That you'd stay. It calmed him slightly, but the shame was still there.
"You… don't have to… stay up for me." He muttered quietly, voice choking up still.
"You're not alone in this..." you replied, reassuring him once more.
These same words were the same your therapist told you the first session you had and they stuck in your head since then, helping and easing the process.
"No one should be alone in this, Bucky..." you added, your tone gentle and light as you stood up and headed to the kitchen.
"It hurts, I can tell you this much, it's not going to be easy… but it will get better" you went on, while you prepared yourself for bed.
You didn't know how long you'll be on the phone so you prepared yourself for a long night.
Bucky listened quietly, to the sound of you moving around on the other end, to your words.
He didn't understand how you stayed so calm. How even after his rude comment that first time, you still spoke to him so kindly.
"How… how do you not get angry...?" He asks suddenly, his voice hoarse. "How do you stay so damn calm?”
You laughed quietly at his question, as you pulled a book from your stash on the bedside table.
"Who said I don't?" you replied still amused by his assumption.”…I do get angry, very much so..." you added.
"With time and age, I just learned to let go of many things, it still hurts sometimes, but there's nothing I can do.”
Bucky was a little surprised when you let out a small laugh. It wasn't what he expected from you. He was actually expecting some kind of lecture, something about meditation or some other crap like that. He was so used to the lectures from his therapist and doctors.
But you were honest. You got angry. You let go of things.
Then he was silent for a moment, your blunt honesty taking him off guard.
"Doesn't it get tiring? Being so… calm all the time?” He asked, genuinely curious as he felt himself breathing regularly now, his body slightly relaxing.
At that you sighed. Still, the smile never left your lips.
"Very much so… but..." you replied after a moment, trying to find the best way to explain this.
"It gets more tiring to be mad all the time..." you said honestly as you now lay on the bed, on one side.
"I still cry, I get panic attacks… and I zone out a lot…" you stated, recalling all the times you still found yourself alone with your breath caught in your throat, legs pulled against your chest.
"Like I said, it gets better, not perfect…”
Bucky was a little startled by your honesty. How bluntly you spoke about your own struggles just to help him out. He knew very well how difficult it was. How frustrating it was to struggle with his past. How much it hurt.
But hearing you talk so casually about your panic attacks and crying was… odd, in a way.
He was used to hiding his struggles and pretending everything was fine, he thought it was normal.
Then he let out a huffed sigh.
"How long does it take, usually?” he asked, deep down already knowing the answer.
"For things to get better?" you asked honestly, a little surprised by that kind of question from him. Of course, it was a rhetorical question, getting better didn’t have a set date, everyone and everything was different when it came to mental health.
"A long time." you then replied, not wanting to sugarcoat anything for him right now.
That's what you did usually, tell them how it was and how you got there. People in the same situation as yourself were mostly tired of unnecessary bits of advice that led to nothing.
"A lot of time and therapy sessions..." you added almost laughing like it was something funny. "... your brain won't be the same though, the trauma is stuck in your head”
Bucky huffed quietly, laying back against his pillows while he listened to you.
He expected some type of halfhearted reassurance. Some shallow statement about how he'll heal and move past everything.
But you didn't do that. You kept your statements blunt and straight to the point. You spoke about your own experiences easily.
You weren't like his therapist. And this was far off a therapy session.
"So… my brain will never go back to normal…" He mutters quietly, not like a question but like a realization.
You lightly chuckled on the other end.
You expected this kind of reaction, usually that's what happened. You did it too the first time you were told about this. But you eventually accepted it, on most days.
"Your brain is normal, Bucky..." you spoke again, softly this time." ...you still think, talk, laugh and cry… that's normal."
That's what you think about yourself too, when your intrusive thoughts weren’t winning the battle. You were still functional, but living in a world that hadn't been kind to you at all.
"Just with a little spice…” you added playfully.
Bucky listened quietly, his eyes closed as he tried to keep his breathing even still.
He still didn't understand how you could speak so nonchalantly.
Just a little spice? He repeated your last sentence in his head, trying to convince himself.
He thought about it for a moment longer. His mind was still messed up but he was still capable of all those things. It was a simple concept but it eased his mind a little, at least for now.
"Are you just gonna keep talking until I fall asleep?" He huffed then, trying to keep his voice distant now that he had recovered.
"If you want me to..." you only replied, maybe a little more sweetly than you intended to.
But you felt responsible somehow, few times had you seen someone so broken yet so stubborn with himself and others that you genuinely wanted to help.
"I could read to you, It doesn't bother me at all..." you suggested, fully expecting him to scoff at that as he was still trying to push you away.
Bucky stayed quiet for a moment. He didn't want to admit but the sound of your voice was soothing somehow.
Normally, he would try to keep himself awake. Stare up at the ceiling until he was so tired, he passed out from exhaustion.
But now, laying in his bed listening to the sound of your voice, he found that he was tired. Not in a tired-from-exhaustion kind of way, but tired in an I-could-fall-asleep kind of way.
"Fine.” he only answered.
"Alright..." you only said, almost smiling at his reaction.
You could see all the signs, the reluctance, the way he avoided showing himself truly or how he still bit back. He didn't trust you and it was fine, you were still a stranger.
You ended up reading him a novel, one that told about a knight in shining armour, until he fell asleep.
The next morning you found yourself with your phone next to you, your reading glasses still on and the call ended a long time ago.
Bucky woke up in the morning slightly confused.
Looking around his darkened room, it took him a good minute or two to finally remember last night. He must have passed out during your call as he found his phone still in his hand, a glance at the time telling him it was nearly noon.
Maybe you hung up as soon as you realised he had fallen asleep.
He wondered if the previous night had all been some kind of very weird fever dream. But his phone still showed the call log. It had actually happened.
After waking up rather late you decided to work from home, luckily for you, it was possible with what you did, being between jobs had some benefits after all.
You felt very sleepy still since you spent most of the night reading until you heard the call ending itself, so your day was slow and rather calm.
While, for once, thinking about yourself, your mind kept replaying what happened last night. How you heard Bucky cry, how his words stuttered and, after he calmed down, the questions that followed.
Then the reticence.
Later that day, right in the afternoon, you shoot him a message anyway.
-to Bucky: you ok?
You didn't expect a reply, you were well aware of how he still tried to be distant.
And like he said the first time, you weren't his babysitter and he was a full-grown man, so it was up to him if he still wanted help.
On the other end, Bucky nearly dropped his phone when the screen lit up with your message.
He was still very much surprised that you were checking up on him.
Why?
He stared at the message for a good few minutes, debating on what he should say or not.
No, he wasn't ok. He was still shaken up from the nightmare he had. He was still frustrated with himself for not handling it alone.
But he wouldn't exactly tell you any of that so he tried to come up with a reply, but it took him about an hour.
-From Bucky: I'm fine.
When the actual reply arrived, you couldn't hold back a laugh.
He was still so stubborn even after you heard him almost crying that his coldness now felt...different.
-to Bucky: I don't believe that, but alright :)
You went up with your usual day after that, busy with some more work while planning your next therapy session that was coming soon.
Bucky huffed quietly after receiving your reply, his eye twitching slightly. He was surprised that you didn't believe him that he was fine.
But then again, you had heard what happened last night. You had heard him struggling to breathe. You had heard him nearly cry over the phone.
How stupid he was to think he could convince you he was fine.
He tried to put the phone down, but he found himself picking it up again and staring at the screen.
You just... Didn’t give up, did you? he thought, asking himself something he couldn’t reply to.
How expected, Bucky didn't reply further and that was fine with you. But deep down, to be completely honest, you started to kind of worry about him, to kind of care...
After a week, when you hadn't heard from him and had yet another session that felt hard, everything came crashing down.
At first, you were your usual happy self, telling your doctor about this therapy companion thing and what happened, minus the details.
But once you got home, you felt it, sneaky as it always was, another panic attack that slowly started to build up.
You spent months without one this strong but with the news in your life and the progress you made with therapy, it was strange that it didn't show up sooner.
Now flashbacks of past memories and people playing in front of you, still sitting on the bathroom floor with your legs tight against your chest and your phone next to you… on silent.
When Bucky called this time, you didn’t answer.
Bucky had been ignoring the constant feeling of guilt deep in his stomach. You had helped him, saved him from that nightmare and the panic attack that followed, and his way of repaying you for that kindness was acting cold and distant?
He couldn’t tell if you were worried about him or just nice but you were still trying to help him somehow.
But he was too stubborn to admit he needed someone right now, to admit he needed you.
So it was only right that he couldn't reach you when he finally picked up that damn phone.
Sitting in his living room, now staring down at his phone, Bucky tried to call you again and again, but like the other calls he already made, he was sent to voicemail. Not even an answer in text.
Dread started to fill him, his mind immediately going to the worst-case scenario.
Did something happen? Why aren't you picking up? Did you put your phone on silent? Why?
You pulled through yet again, not without your fair share of tears and so much pain, but you did. Still, your body felt numb and sore, sitting in the same position for hours, your mouth dry and your eyes burning.
You were a complete mess, but your breathing was now finally steady.
Still, you haven't checked your phone and honestly, it was one of your last thoughts as of now.
You didn't know the time either, as your brain was still scattered and clouded even after the shower you took just to feel something.
So when you finally picked it up, your eyes went wide and you almost cried again.
4 missed calls from Bucky
1 text from Bucky
Guilt and fear started silently spreading inside you all over again. You couldn't do this now, it felt like betrayal but you couldn't.
Bucky sat in his living room, his body stiff and filled with fear.
He had called you about 4 times now. Each time, he was met with a voice-mail.
What the hell was going on?
He was tempted to do something, maybe find out where you lived and go check on you. But he forced himself to calm down, trying to convince himself to not overreact.
You probably had your phone on silent. You probably didn't hear it. You probably were fine.
When you were about to lay in bed and have some sleep, you received another call and for a moment you were tempted to answer, but you didn’t. Instead, you placed your phone on the bedside table and got under the covers.
But when you were about to drift off, your eyes about to close you picked up your phone again and decided to, at least, read the message.
-from Bucky: what happened?
If you weren't so tired you would have laughed about it, about the worry that seeped from a single message, but even your face felt heavy.
So you just typed a quick answer.
-to Bucky: wasn't feeling myself, I'm sorry...we can chat tomorrow.
And with that, you fell asleep, exhausted and aching with your phone still in your hand.
Bucky read your message over and over again while he lay in his bed. He was still worried but the knot in his stomach started to lessen slightly. He felt like a fool for being so dramatic.
Of course, you were just having an off day. Off days happened, especially for people like the two of you. He was just overreacting.
He decided to send you one last text, unable to help himself.
-From Bucky: call me if you need me.
With that, he sat his phone on his bedside table and closed his eyes.
The answer to Bucky's text only arrived at the end of the next day since sleeping past your alarm had made you arrive late for a work appointment.
In other words, your day was a bit hectic.
Then you helped your neighbour on your way back home.
And when finally you were sitting on the couch, in your comfortable clothes, the tv didn't turn on. So you had to call the landlord then.
You were tired, frustrated even and not really in your best behaviour. Still, you owed Bucky an answer.
-to Bucky: did you sleep last night? Saw you were a bit worried. Anyway not my best day but I'm better. Ps: do you happen to know how to fix a tv?
Bucky read over your message, his lips twitching into an involuntary small smile.
Not your best day.
He could tell from the way you wrote the message that you were a little bit frustrated with how your day had gone but still tried to stay positive. It was…  cute.
He quickly typed out a response, ignoring the strange feeling inside his chest as he sent it.
-From Bucky: I slept alright. And how do you manage to screw up a damn tv?
-to Bucky: how dare you! I was out all day and it was already like this, called the landlord but he said there's nothing he could do :(
You typed out almost too quickly, but then you were distracted, only to finish your text minutes later.
-to Bucky: sorry my neighbour needed something… anyways I’m happy to hear you slept some, at least.
You were so focused on the broken tv, and your neighbour moving out that you didn’t tell him about the episode that happened last night. That made you feel rather guilty, you were paired for that specific reason and while you were all about helping him, you just refused to let others help you when the same thing happened.
Bucky was beginning to pick up on your behaviour, about you only talking about your struggles when you wanted to be helpful but not when you needed it. You had talked him through a panic attack but never said anything about why you were still in therapy.
At that, a feeling of determination welled up inside of him as he read over your message.
He was going to find out what was going on with you, one way or another. Shocking even himself with that very thought.  e quickly typed out a reply.
-From Bucky: Your landlord sounds like a douche. Maybe I could take a look at it for you.
His next message made you stop in your tracks as you crossed the room and went to the kitchen.
The other times you were paired up, it was always by calls and texts as the other were too scared to even go out, so this was kind of unexpected. With the way he had acted when you both first met and how he still tried to, this was kind of a shock.
But then, when you didn’t answer right away, another text arrived, pulling a slight smile out of you, now that he was acting worried.
-from Bucky: so?
-to Bucky: won't hurt, can send u my address, warn me when you do though.
Bucky tried to keep his heart from beating so damn fast. It was a dumb offer, a stupid thought he had, but you had accepted nonetheless. So he wasn’t sure why he felt… nervous?
He told himself it was because he was worried about you, worried that you might have been struggling like he was. But a small part of him couldn't help but wonder if maybe it was because he…
No!... not going there.
He stopped himself from thinking more about it, quickly replying to you.
-From Bucky: Yeah, send me the address. I’ll be there in thirty.
I'll be there in thirty. Well that was quick, you told yourself as you read his last message, totally not expecting this sudden change of heart as a strange feeling of happiness started brewing inside you but, at the same time, you were scared.
Not because Bucky was a bad person, you were sure he had too much good in him, but for the fact that someone would actually want to come over.
This was new.
And while you were overthinking this, trying to tidy up your messy apartment as best as you could, minutes passed and suddenly someone had knocked at your door.
Bucky stood in front of your apartment, his hand raised to knock. He was starting to feel a bit dumb.
It was a stupid idea. Why did he offer to come over? Stupid, stupid, stupid!
But his mind was filled with worry, his heart racing as he continued to stand in front of your door like some kind of idiot.
He finally forced himself to knock, even if the knocking came off a bit too loudly because of his nervousness.
As soon as you opened the door your breath hitched a little. He was standing there, wearing just a pair of black jeans, a leather jacket with a dark blue jersey underneath, and…gloves?
When did he get so tall and… no, not the right time, as you took in the unreadable expression he had on his face.
But then you quickly reminded yourself that the only time you both saw each other was in his doctor's office.
"Hi stranger..." you said, after a few seconds of internal battle within your brain.."...were you worried about me perhaps?" you joked, awkwardly and only to hide your embarrassment.
But as he looked down at you, you realized you were still in his way and stepped aside enough to let him pass.
The first impression he had of you was bad, and the second? Well, maybe now he considered you an idiot.
Bucky stood stiffly in front of you, almost towering over you as he looked down to meet your gaze.
Damn, you were tiny. He hadn’t noticed that before, just now realizing just how much smaller you were than him.
As he stepped in, he tried to keep the cold look on his face, but it was hard to keep his eyes from roaming over you, taking in your messy sweatpants and oversized shirt. Cute, he caught himself thinking.
"Maybe a little bit..." he muttered grudgingly, walking inside your apartment.
“Oh…” you said quietly as he walked in, surprised by his answer.
Then you saw him looking around as if he was searching for something, making you even more confused.
Then it hit you… his doctor told you he was a former military.
"It's just… just an old tv..." you tried, not really knowing why you stuttered at first as you followed him into your living room.
Bucky kept his hands shoved into his pockets as he walked around your living room, eyes roaming over every corner in search of any potential threats. An old habit of his from his time on the front lines.
When he spotted the television, his eyes narrowed slightly, only shedding off his jacket and remaining with just a long-sleeved shirt on.
A damn old tv, maybe older than him.
"How old is it?" he asked while he kneeled down in front of it, his fingers already picking at the back of the machine.
It took a little to answer his question, still stunned by the fact that he was really in your apartment.
The same guy that couldn't stand you the first time he saw you.
"Very… I mean..." you replied, then quickly correcting yourself."...I don't know really, bought it used."
You confessed, cheeks slightly flushing as if you were ashamed by that. You didn't have much on your own and therapy was damn expensive, after all.
As he worked, you tried not to bother him much, staying away as much as possible and sitting quietly on the couch.
Bucky hummed quietly while you spoke, his mind racing with questions.
How old could this tv be? And just how much did it cost you?
But he held his tongue, not wanting to risk upsetting you with his questions.
As he continued to inspect the old device, still he noticed how he could practically sense you trying to distance yourself from him and not bothering him much.
So he held back the urge to look at you, trying to focus on the old machine instead.
Why were you being too damn polite? Why were you so damn far away?
As you tried to focus, still not very much into yourself after a whole day of unexpected setbacks, the bell rang making you jump a little, startling Bucky as well.
But before he could say anything, you went to check, only to realize it was just your neighbour again as soon as you opened the door.
And while you talked, you didn’t notice that her voice was so loud that it could be heard even inside your apartment, as you both were at the door and away from the living room, so much that made Bucky curious about what was happening.
Bucky paused in his work on the tv as he heard the bell ring, his head turning to look towards you as you walked out of the room.
He kept working, the sound of your voices filtering faintly into the living room.
He wasn't trying to listen in your conversation but the more you and your neighbour talked, the more Bucky found himself subconsciously trying to make out what was being said.
He started to feel like a creep, listening to your private conversation like this. But he couldn't help it, the curiosity was eating away at him and...
The more he listened, the more he realised that something was off.
He slowly rose up from his kneeled position and turned to face the entrance as the voices got slightly louder.
When you finally closed the door with a loud sigh and turned to come back to the other room, you almost jumped as you found him there, standing near the entrance, with a deep frown on his face.
"Jesus..." you gasped, a hand on your chest.”...scared the hell out of me."
"You good? ...did something happen?" you then added as he kept looking between you and the front door.
Bucky kept his face stoic, his mind racing as his eyes roamed over you.
He was about to ask you about the neighbour, about your conversation. It was none of his business but… he just couldn’t stop himself.
"What the hell was that about?" he asked, gesturing toward the door.
It was your turn to frown, as soon as the words left Bucky's mouth you got confused.
How the hell did he...? you thought, crossing both your arms over your chest.
You were tired, still bothered by the remnants of your previous episode and on the verge of a breakdown. You couldn't handle this now.
"Listen, I'm going to be as polite as I can right now..." you started, your tone calm but with a slight edge.
"That's none of your fucking business."
And as soon as you said that, not giving him time to reply or do anything, you stormed off and locked yourself in the bathroom, sitting on the floor as soon as you were in.
Bucky was stunned for a moment, completely taken aback by your reaction. He had been rude, pushing a personal question out of the blue.
He hadn't really meant it, he was just worried about you. But now he realized he had gone too far, overstepping a boundary.
God damn it, he was a moron.
He felt panic well up inside him as you stormed off into the bathroom and slammed the door behind you, the sound of the lock flicking in place echoing in the apartment.
Bucky stood frozen still, the silence from the other side of the door deafening.
Was he supposed to wait there? Should he knock? Leave? He didn't know what to do.
He ran his hand through his hair, feeling completely lost.
He couldn’t bring himself to leave you alone, not while you were clearly upset, so after a few moments standing there awkwardly, he gently knocked on the door.
You missed the first knock, too lost in your mind yet again, trying to calm your breathing the way your therapist told you many times.
Everything seemed to shatter into tiny pieces, even the smallest things now becoming bigger problems.
You just couldn't, while you kept repeating, more like murmuring to yourself...
I'm sorry...
can't do this anymore...
please shut up
Your brain felt like it was on fire, hurting you more than you could imagine.
Bucky's worry grew as he heard your voice quietly talking to yourself through the door.
He felt like an idiot for overstepping, causing you to feel like this. And now you were locked away from him, alone and struggling.
With a knot in his stomach, he once again knocked on the door. He hated asking but…
"Can I come in?..." he called quietly, placing his forehead against the door.
You were on the verge of crying, but for a moment your brain refocused and you heard knocking as well as Bucky's voice.
He was still here? Why?
Deep down you knew this time you couldn't do it alone, that you had to talk this out but it was like your body was trapped on the spot.
When Bucky started to beg, behind the still-closed door, you felt a heavy sense of guilt washing over you, standing up right after but barely balancing on your feet.
Then you unlocked the door before you hunched over the sink, hands gripping the surface while your breath felt ragged.
Bucky was almost surprised you opened up the door, his heart clenching at the sight of you. He had never expected to see you this vulnerable.
He really was an idiot for causing you this much anguish.
He slowly stepped into the bathroom, gently closing the door behind himself.
"Hey..." he started, not really knowing what to say.
He stepped closer behind you, not daring to touch you, his heart aching again as he saw you hunched over the sink.
When you heard the faint footsteps and Bucky's voice so gentle, you raised your head slightly, the first tears were already running down your face and you only wanted to scream, but you swallowed it.
Instead, it happened in a blur, you turned around and hugged him tight, burying your face into his shirt and leaving him stunned.
You were weak, felt worse than ever and clearly in need of help.
Bucky’s heart stopped as you suddenly turned around and hugged him.
He had barely been able to register what was happening, but now he froze when he felt you against him.
His arms hovered in the air at first, not knowing what to do, but the sound of muffled sobs coming from you snapped him back into reality as if suddenly his brain and body started moving again.
So he quickly wrapped his arms around you, pulling you against him as he leaned down and gently rested his chin on the top of your head.
You didn't know how much time had passed, hell you didn’t know what time it was as it felt like everything stopped when panic started gnawing at you again.
Your head was still spinning as your fingers dug tighter into the fabric of Bucky's shirt.
And while your breath was uneven and it seemed like you couldn't hold back the tears, you felt guilt.
Guilt of putting him into this situation. Guilt of embarrassing him so much.
"Not… not your fault.." you tried, as soon as you felt his hands on your back."...I'm sorry, I was already a mess..." your voice was muffled and broken, your brain still struggling to form a coherent thought on its own.
Bucky felt his heart twist in his chest as he listened to your broken voice.
He kept his chin on your head, listening to you speak.
"What are you apologizing for?" he asked gently, rubbing his palm up and down your back in an attempt to soothe you.
"I’m at fault here, it's my fault you’re upset," he said quietly, silently scolding himself for being so damn nosy and rude.
"I was..." you croaked out then.."I had… an episode last night..." forcing your words out to explain yourself.
You were aware he probably sensed something was off when you didn’t return his calls and now you were facing the consequences of your actions.
He was your therapy companion, for God's sake you mentally scolded yourself seconds after, your brain still feeling heavy.
"I thought I was getting better..."
Bucky was slowly piecing everything together, the picture becoming clearer as you continued. He felt another wave of guilt crash over him, a cold feeling forming in his stomach.
That's why you didn’t pick up last night, that’s why you’ve been so distant.
And he had come over, intruding on your life like an idiot, making it all worse. He held you a little tighter, gently pulling you closer against his chest.
"You are getting better..." he mumbled against your hair.
You actually sob at his words and the way he was now holding you. It felt good, safe and everything you hadn't felt in ages. And that scared you shitless.
"Stealing my words here..." you said, even if your voice was broken, trying to joke as your brain started refocusing itself slowly.
You wouldn't admit it to him or anyone except your therapist, but funnily enough the proximity and the contact helped ground you and not let your intrusive thoughts win.
Even if your major trauma stemmed from touch itself.
And he was indeed helping you now.
Bucky let out a small huff; somewhere between a scoff and a chuckle. Maybe stealing your words wasn't that bad, you sounded better after all.
He felt the tension that had been present in your body slowly drain away as he continued to hold you, his hand rubbing small circles on your back.
It shouldn’t feel this good to hold you, and even less feel this protective over you.
He ignored the thought for now, gently pulling you closer to his chest.
"Do you want to talk about it…?" he mumbled quietly.
A soft broken sigh left your lips right after his question, relief quickly washing over your body as Bucky kept on silently comforting you.
You're safe. It's ok, were the thoughts that now replaced the pain in your brain, keeping you sane.
At his question, you just nodded yes, still you didn’t move an inch from where you were, body still aching, too convinced that if you let go you'd fall to the floor.
Bucky felt some of the tension drain from his own shoulders as well as you settled against his chest, the sight of you relaxing against him making his heart feel warmer.
He continued to hold you against him for a few more moments, his hand still rubbing at your back in calming circles.
But then, he did something he shouldn’t have.
He gently placed a light kiss on the top of your head, an intimate gesture of comfort.
You felt good, calmer even but when you felt the press of lips on top of your head and his breath ghosting in your hair you froze.
This wasn't right, this shouldn’t be happening… this...
You thought, as your breath hitched slightly while you pulled away, still very much shocked as you looked up at him.
"What..? Did you..?”
Bucky’s heart jumped into his throat when you suddenly pulled away, immediately missing the warmth of your body against his. And when you looked up at him, a mixture of shock and confusion in your eyes, his heart sank.
It was then that he realized what he had just done.
His heart still hammering against his chest as he opened his mouth to speak, stuttering out the first words he could think of.
"I don’t-... I don’t know what came over me-... I'm sorry-” he tried.
You took another step back, your eyes never leaving Bucky's face, watching him as he just realized what he had done.
You didn't want to be mean, to mock him or anything but this wasn't right.
"... I... listen..." you started, voice wavering a little…" we're just…in a program together… there's… there's nothing-"
Then you stumbled a little, both your hand went to grip the sink behind you to keep you upright. Still, you felt confused, mind clouded as a strange feeling grew inside you.
Bucky felt his heart ache at your words. He knew you were right, of course, you were right.
But in that moment, the realization dawned on him, the realization that he liked you. He wanted you and the thought scared the hell out of him.
He quickly reached out and gently grabbed your elbow to help keep you steady when you stumbled.
He didn’t speak for a moment, a lump in his throat as he cursed himself silently, the fear of losing whatever you both had taking over him.
You flinched out of instinct when you felt his hand touching you again.
This wasn't on purpose, you weren't scared of him but… What if he wanted more? What if he took advantage of your weak state?
That's why you were fine to keep all therapy partners distant, communicating only when needed and not meeting with any of them.
This was wrong, this shouldn’t have happened, you needed to heal not get worse.
"I… I think you should go..." you said after a few minutes, looking away."... I... I'll still help you if you… need me to.”
Bucky felt as if he had been punched in the gut as you flinched away from his touch.
The thought of you fearing him broke his heart even more, confirming every thought his traitorous brain was throwing at him. It was all his fault.
He had pushed, he had been rude and he had to go and act on the feelings he wasn’t supposed to have.
So when you mumbled the next words, he quickly nodded, letting go of your elbow.
"Yeah... yeah alright… whatever you want,” he replied as he took a step back and quickly left the bathroom.
You stood still, looking away until you heard the front door open and close, then you collapsed, knees hitting the floor.
You were trembling, you felt confused as stray tears now streamed down your face again but you also felt at a loss, like someone had stolen your breath.
The next morning you didn’t even remember how you got to bed but you had no intention of leaving it any time soon.
You had nothing much to do and with Bucky probably out of the picture, it was you, alone, all over again.
Still, out of habit in the hours that followed, you checked your phone all the same, finding nothing, as you had expected.
Bucky, on the other hand, was pissed. At himself, that was.
He kept replaying what had happened in his head, the look on your face, the way you had flinched away from him...
All because he had been too nosy, pushing you into an episode, and then on top of that, he had gone and acted on his stupid feelings.

oh joyous day, my our life now and forever mc, Rena Michou!
Just a bunch of doodles for now I'll do a full body ref and make it purettyy later, maybe… ahh side note i need to learn how to draw tam and qiu qwq something just doesn't look quite right.
and now time to ramble about her: (warning very long)
EDIT: WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME IT SAYS 8W3??? she's supposed to be a 8w7 😭😭😭
She was pretty stand-offish and cold to Tam and Qiu when she first met them, she did not like Qiu at all, from her perspective her Ma's moved her to this town in the middle of nowhere, she accidentally goes into someone's backyard (clearly no way for her to know smh) but she's being the better person and apologising only for him to make fun of her??? Terrible manners. Not only that but he's a show off and has an insufferably smug grin. Not to mention he acts like he knows everything (it's okay when she does it, she's not from a random town in the middle of nowhere).
She still lets him tag along when she goes to find the mystery air plane sender because she's nice like that (how hard was that jeez!) And while Tamarack is loud, she looks a hell of a lot better in comparison to Qiu. Anyway this goes on for a bit with her being annoyed at basically everything he does and tolerating his presence because she's nice (it's because of Tamarack and her Ma). She is however very startled when Qiu gives her the welcome note, she definitely thinks it's a prank or disingenuous, but gosh dang it, he looks so happy she's polite so she'll say thank you.
She starts liking him after the park where they race and she wins, and opposite to all her expectations - because this is something he's been most proud of, he doesn't get upset or annoyed he's even more happy somehow… And that's when she has to accept everything she thought about this guy was wrong.
Some more random stuff about her personality and yeah:
She doesn't get most jokes, and she can't tell teasing apart from being genuinely cruel which is- yeah mostly why she doesn't get along with Qiu at first.
She thrives on the challenge, she's always down to do the riskiest thing for the greatest reward, she likes beating the odds (and proving people wrong).
She places a lot of value on following rules and being polite, two things that have been repeated to her basically her whole life (because she struggled with that growing up), so now she's very opinionated/black and white about it.
She likes listening to rock/alternative music mostly, probably tries picking up the guitar in the future- she'd be bad at it.
She likes strategy and puzzle videogames, absolutely terrible at racing, fighting, and rhythm games.
She's got no problem telling someone no respectfully and doesn't like to compromise at all - but even more she hates other people doing her favours, so she takes the path of least inconvenience.
She really wants to be independent and prove she's responsible and can take care of herself, however she still really respects her Ma
She values getting good grades a lot and she's pretty advanced however her Ma didn't want her to move up grades because of her social development. She is not a big fan of this, probably one of their biggest arguments.
She wasn't exactly bullied persay- but she didn't have any friends before Tam, which is probably in part due to her prickly personality but yeah, not a big fan of people her age.

Note
S/O who is always nice, polite, calm, and never angry. One day, skeleton accidentally pisses then off and are met with a murderous glare. Like if looks could kill, they'd be vaporised.
Main 10 pls
Undertale Sans - Oh. Ok, he calms down now. He looks down awkwardly, unsure what to say anymore to calm you down. He also quickly changes the subject and goes back to normal a few seconds after, trying to deflect the tension.
Undertale Papyrus - He's sure this is probably fine and continues talking, slowly panicking. He tries to keep a straight face but he's talking very fast now, and messing up his words, and playing with his hands... Everything is screaming anxiety honestly.
Underswap Sans - He's not impressed and simply smirks at your expression. Blue will learn the hard way when you suddenly throw pillow after pillow in his face, preventing him from sitting up.
Underswap Papyrus - Uh oh. Welp, uh, he's going to see Asgore now, or something. As long as he lives in the house to give you some space, he's fine. He's anxious you're mad at him, and he hates to find himself in these situations. Maybe come to fetch him when you're calmer, he's cowarding right now.
Underfell Sans - Uh oh. He knocks it off for a few hours and even (tries to) cook for you to calm you down. Ok, it's completely burned and it tastes nothing, but he tried? He looks like a kicked puppy, please forgive him. He knows he messed up :(
Underfell Papyrus - He doesn't look down. Two can play this game you know. You'll be the one to look down, he's not even sorry. Apologize first. He's not sure about why but apologizes. He did nothing wrong in his life.
Horrortale Sans - Oh look at that! He magically completely forgot what you were talking about! That has to mean everything is forgotten and that he deserves cuddles now, right? He headbutts you, purring like a tractor, and insists so much that you end up giving up and forgiving him. He's very proud of himself.
Horrortale Papyrus - He takes a step back, nervous. He decides to retreat and leave you alone. You find him later working hard in the field to the point of hurting himself to punish himself :( Willow really doesn't like that.
Swapfell Sans - He stays eyes in eyes, not impressed. You think you're scaring him? He gives you one of HIS death stares, which actually scares you a little. See? You're not scaring anyone. Cut the bullshit. He's not impressed and even a little mad now.
Swapfell Papyrus - You didn't explode yet so unfortunately, he didn't get the message and continues to push to see how far he can go. Unless you physically makes him understand he's too much by punching him in the face, he won't stop lol.
Fellswap Gold Sans - He smirks at your face, then casually draws two angry eyebrows above his eye sockets. See? You two are matching now. You're not impressed with his impersonation. But does Wine really care in the first place?
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He looks miserable and just retreats in his closet in shame for the rest of the day. Fortunately, when he'll get out, things will have magically became better! He feels safer hiding for now.

What if I hurt you
Clarisse La Rue x Reader
Clarisse loves y/n, more thant anything, which is why one day when she almost gets hurt, clarisse knows that she might not be best for y/n
✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿✿❀✿❀
Y/n had never been one to attract much attention. She was the kind of person who liked to blend into the background, not causing too much fuss. That’s part of why she loved Clarisse La Rue so much; the daughter of Ares was the complete opposite. Bold, brash, and fiercely protective, Clarisse made Y/n feel like she could conquer anything, even if Y/n preferred to do so quietly. Their relationship had blossomed over the past year, surprising both of them with how deeply they had come to care for each other.
But lately, things hadn’t been so perfect. Y/n was being harassed by a guy named Trey, a son of Hermes who had been relentless in his pursuit of her. It had started off innocently enough, just a few flirtatious comments here and there. Y/n had brushed them off, not wanting to make a big deal out of it. She figured Trey would lose interest eventually, especially if she didn’t encourage him.
But she was wrong.
It began with small things, like Trey showing up wherever Y/n happened to be. At first, it was just a coincidence—he’d be at the training grounds when she was practicing archery, or at the dining pavilion when she was grabbing a quick bite. But soon it became clear that Trey was intentionally seeking her out. He’d “accidentally” bump into her and make some remark about how fate was bringing them together. Y/n would laugh it off, trying to stay polite, but inside she was growing more uncomfortable by the day.
One day, Y/n was in the library, enjoying the quiet solitude that allowed her to immerse herself in a book. But just as she was getting lost in the pages, Trey appeared at her table, sliding into the chair across from her with a wide grin.
“Hey, Y/n,” he said, leaning in a little too close. “What are you reading? Something romantic, I bet.”
Y/n suppressed a sigh, keeping her voice even. “Just a history book. You know, nothing special.”
“Oh, I bet you’d like something more exciting,” Trey replied, winking at her. “Maybe I could take you out sometime? Show you a real good time.”
Y/n’s stomach twisted with discomfort, but she forced a polite smile. “Thanks, Trey, but I’m not interested. I’m with Clarisse, remember?”
Trey’s smile didn’t waver. “Yeah, I know. But come on, you can do better than her. I mean, you’re so sweet and gentle, and she’s… well, you know. Rough around the edges.”
Y/n’s polite façade cracked a little, her voice sharpening. “Clarisse is amazing, and I’m very happy with her. Please stop.”
But Trey didn’t stop. He showed up at her cabin, offering to “walk her to dinner.” He’d corner her after training, complimenting her on how she was “way too cute” for someone like Clarisse. Y/n tried everything—ignoring him, being direct, even getting other campers to tell him to back off. Nothing worked. And through it all, Y/n didn’t tell Clarisse.
Why didn’t she? Part of it was pride—Y/n didn’t want to seem weak, like she couldn’t handle things on her own. But a bigger part of it was fear. She knew how Clarisse could be, especially when someone threatened someone she loved. Clarisse’s temper was legendary, and Y/n didn’t want to see her girlfriend get into trouble because of some jerk who didn’t know how to take a hint.
But it all came to a head one afternoon when Y/n and Clarisse were hanging out by the lake. It was a rare moment of peace for them—Clarisse was always so busy with her duties as a senior camper, and Y/n cherished the times when they could just be together. They sat on a blanket, Clarisse’s arm slung casually around Y/n’s shoulders as they watched the sun glitter on the water.
“This is nice,” Y/n murmured, leaning into Clarisse’s side. “I wish we could do this more often.”
“Me too,” Clarisse agreed, her voice softer than usual. “It’s just—”
Before Clarisse could finish her sentence, one of the Ares campers came jogging over, looking a little frantic. “Clarisse! Wylan won’t give me my sword back, tell him he has to. It’s my lucky one!”
Clarisse groaned, clearly irritated at being interrupted, but she was duty-bound. She kissed Y/n’s temple. “I’ll be right back, babe. Don’t move a muscle, okay?”
Y/n smiled, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes. “I’ll be here.”
As Clarisse jogged off, Y/n sighed and pulled out her book, trying to enjoy the peace and quiet. But of course, it didn’t last long.
“Hey, Y/n!” Trey’s voice cut through the serene atmosphere like a knife. Y/n looked up, her heart sinking as she saw him striding towards her, that same smirk plastered on his face.
“Trey,” she said, her voice resigned. “Please, not now.”
“Aw, come on,” Trey replied, plopping down on the blanket beside her without an invitation. “You always say that. Why not now? It’s a beautiful day, and I’m here with a beautiful girl.”
Y/n scooted away from him, feeling her patience wearing dangerously thin. “Trey, I’m serious. You need to stop this. I’m with Clarisse, and I’m not interested in you.”
Trey leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a low, sleazy whisper. “But why not, Y/n? I could treat you so much better than she does. She’s all about fighting and yelling, but me? I’d be gentle. I’d take care of you.” His hand travels upwards, starting to play with her hair.
Y/n’s heart raced with a mix of fear and anger. Pushing his hands off and scotting back further, she opened her mouth to tell him off, to really let him have it this time, but before she could get a word out, a voice boomed from behind them.
“WHAT IN THE HADES IS GOING ON HERE?”
Y/n whipped her head around to see Clarisse standing a few feet away, her eyes blazing with fury. She had returned much faster than Y/n expected, and the look on her face sent a chill down Y/n’s spine.
“Clarisse,” Y/n started, but she didn’t get far.
Clarisse marched over, her fists clenched. “Trey, what the hell are you doing?”
Trey had the nerve to grin, though there was a flicker of fear in his eyes. “Just talking to Y/n, that’s all.”
Clarisse’s expression darkened, and she stepped closer, looming over Trey. “Talking to her? It sure as hell looked like you were harassing her.”
“Harassing? Come on, Clarisse, don’t be so dramatic,” Trey said, trying to play it off. “I was just—”
“Shut up,” Clarisse snarled. “You think I didn’t hear what you just said? You think Y/n would be better off with you?” She grabbed Trey by the front of his shirt, yanking him to his feet. “She’s with me. And if you ever try to get between us again, I’ll make sure you regret it.”
Trey’s bravado finally cracked. “Whoa, hey, Clarisse, chill. I didn’t mean any harm—”
“Didn’t mean any harm?” Clarisse interrupted, her voice dangerously low. “You’ve been following her around, making her uncomfortable, and you think I’m just going to let that slide?”
“Clarisse,” Y/n said softly, reaching out to touch her arm. “It’s okay, I can handle it.”
But Clarisse was beyond reasoning. She shoved Trey back, causing him to stumble. “You don't lay a finger on her. Not now, not ever.”
Trey, clearly not as smart as he thought he was, decided to push back. “Maybe Y/n doesn’t want to be with someone like you. Maybe she needs someone who’s not so… rough.”
That did it. Clarisse’s fist connected with Trey’s jaw before Y/n could even blink. Trey yelped in pain, staggering backward, but Clarisse didn’t stop. She grabbed him by the collar, ready to hit him again.
“Clarisse, stop!” Y/n cried, trying to pull her back. “Please, stop!”
But Clarisse was lost in her rage. Her fist swung again, this time landing squarely on Trey’s gut, knocking the wind out of him. Trey crumpled to the ground, gasping for air, but Clarisse wasn’t done. She raised her fist again, but before she could strike, Y/n stepped in, grabbing her arm.
“Clarisse, stop! You’re going to kill him!”
Clarisse froze, her fist still poised in the air. Moving to hit again, she turned to look at Y/n, her eyes wild with anger. But when she saw the fear in Y/n’s eyes, something inside her snapped back to reality. She lowered her fist, breathing heavily, and Trey took the opportunity to scramble to his feet, clutching his stomach.
“You’re crazy!” Trey spat, backing away. “This isn’t over, La Rue.”
“Get out of here before I finish what I started,” Clarisse growled, but her voice lacked the same venom as before.
Trey didn’t need to be told twice. He turned and ran, disappearing into the trees. For a moment, there was only the sound of Clarisse’s heavy breathing and Y/n’s pounding heart.
Then, Clarisse turned to Y/n, her face paling as she realized what had just happened. “Y/n, I—”
But before she could finish, Y/n wrapped her arms around her, burying her face in Clarisse’s chest. “I was so scared,” Y/n whispered, her voice trembling.
Clarisse’s arms went around her automatically, but there was a stiffness to her embrace, a hesitation that Y/n hadn’t felt before. “I’m sorry,” Clarisse said, her voice thick with guilt. “I should’ve— I didn’t mean to scare you.”
Y/n shook her head, clinging to Clarisse. “I don’t care about that. I just didn’t want you to get hurt.”
Clarisse pulled back slightly, looking down at Y/n with pained eyes. “But I did hurt you, didn’t I? Not physically, but… Y/n, I’m so sorry.”
Y/n looked up at her, confused. “What are you talking about? You didn’t hurt me.”
Clarisse’s gaze dropped to the ground. “I almost lost control, Y/n. I could’ve hurt you by accident. I could’ve—”
“But you didn’t,” Y/n interrupted, tightening her grip on Clarisse. “You stopped. And even if you hadn’t, I know you would never hurt me on purpose.”
Clarisse’s hands trembled as she cupped Y/n’s face. “I never want to hurt you. Ever. But… but what if I do? What if I can’t control it next time?”
“There won’t be a next time,” Y/n said firmly. “You’re not a monster, Clarisse. You’re my hero. You protected me.”
Clarisse shook her head, tears welling up in her eyes. “I don’t deserve you.”
“Yes, you do,” Y/n insisted, standing on her tiptoes to press a kiss to Clarisse’s lips. “I love you, Clarisse. All of you. Even the parts that scare you.”
Clarisse’s breath hitched, and she kissed Y/n back, a desperate, tender kiss that spoke of all the fear and love tangled inside her. When they finally pulled apart, Clarisse rested her forehead against Y/n’s. “I love you too. So much.”
They stood there for a long time, holding each other as the sun set behind them. Eventually, Clarisse pulled away, her eyes still haunted by what had happened. “I think… I think I need some time alone.”
Y/n’s heart sank, but she nodded. “Okay. But promise me you’ll come back?”
Clarisse managed a small, sad smile. “I promise.”
As Clarisse walked away, Y/n watched her go, a knot of worry tightening in her chest. She knew Clarisse was struggling with her anger, with the fear that she might one day lose control. But Y/n also knew that their love was stronger than any fear.
For the next few days, Clarisse avoided Y/n. She threw herself into training, into her duties, into anything that kept her away from the person she loved most. Y/n tried to reach out, but Clarisse always found an excuse to keep her distance. It was agonizing, but Y/n refused to give up. She knew that Clarisse was trying to protect her, but what Clarisse didn’t realize was that by pulling away, she was hurting Y/n even more.
Finally, after almost a week of silence, Y/n decided she’d had enough. She marched over to the Ares cabin, ignoring the wary looks from the other campers, and knocked on the door.
Clarisse opened it, and the moment she saw Y/n standing there, she looked like she might close it again. But Y/n quickly stepped inside, blocking her from shutting the door.
“Clarisse, we need to talk,” Y/n said, her voice firm.
Clarisse sighed, running a hand through her messy hair. “Y/n, I—”
“No,” Y/n interrupted, her eyes flashing with determination. “You don’t get to push me away like this. I know you’re scared, but you don’t have to be. I’m not going anywhere.”
Clarisse looked at her, the walls she’d built around herself starting to crumble. “But what if I hurt you?”
“You won’t,” Y/n said, taking Clarisse’s hands in hers. “And even if you did, I’d still love you. You’re not your dad, Clarisse. You’re not Ares. You’re you, and that’s who I fell in love with.”
Clarisse’s shoulders slumped, and she pulled Y/n into a tight embrace, burying her face in Y/n’s hair. “I’m sorry,” she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. “I’m so sorry for everything.”
Y/n hugged her back just as tightly. “It’s okay. We’ll get through this together.”
Clarisse nodded, holding Y/n like she was afraid to let go. And in that moment, Y/n knew that they were going to be okay. Their love was strong enough to withstand anything, even the darkest parts of themselves.
And from that day forward, Clarisse vowed to never let her fear drive a wedge between them again. She worked on her anger, on her need to protect Y/n without pushing her away. It wasn’t easy, but Y/n was always there, her unwavering support giving Clarisse the strength to keep going.
Together, they were unstoppable.
