The Mayor, The Robobrain and The Ghost

After a close encounter with death, where NV mayor Blondie lost their left eye and another piece of sanity, they dedicated their life to finding a way how to keep their body and mind alive no matter what. This lead her on a path of obsession not too dissimilar from how Mr House tried to preserve himself and The Strip.

One of the steps to immortality was once again removing their brain in the Big MT, with the idea that even if their body got destroyed, their consciousness would survive within the brain.

And once again, once removed, but this time moved into a robobrain, the brain itself didnt really see “eye to eye” with its previous body. It reached its own immortality after all. So when the body pleaded for them to get the help of the Think Tank to make an AI copy of their consciousness, it they booted the body out of the Big MT, never letting them back again. The brain then spend their time talking science with Doctor Mobius, keeping the Tink Tank occupied, and doing some light adventuring on their own

Back at the Strip, brainless mayor Blondie didnt feel satisfied with their brain being safe in the Big Empty...They tried make a functional thinking AI of themselves which would then strenghten their policing of the strip.  But since the brain was in the Big Empty and refused to communicate, they had to try and repair an old copy of their consciousnes from an old project. A glitched out and broken scan of their personality and old visage .. locked in a loop and useless. Working only as a reminder..ghost of youth long gone.

Before the personality scan could have been turned int o a proper AI, mayor Blondie found their death by falling down the stairs at the Lucky 38..at the age of 70.

After this, the “rights” to The Strip fell into the robotic claws of the Robobrain, who didnt want to do anything with it, and told Yes Man that he can do whatever he wants, but preferably that he should  leave it to The Followers of the Apocalypse.

The broken AI was locked in the computers of the lucky 38, untill somebody wanted to teach Mr New Vegas some new songs and somehow accidentally deleted the ghost.

The robobrain still roams the wastes, sometimes returning to the Big MT to check on the Think Tank...Their brain.. slowly deteriorating.

One thing that never fails to bring down my mood while playing re2r is having to walk past this banner:

They were all so excited for him to start. Leon was so young and he graduated from the police academy with flying colors, they were probably jumping in their boots to have such young and eager talent join the force. I bet they had stupid little party hats with streamers and cupcakes, ready to welcome him with open arms. They took the time to string up a banner along with little stars and other decorations. They even planned out a little activity for him. And when shit hit the fan, the lieutenant of Leon's chain of command went out of his to tell the rookie of their team to stay away, knowing if he had reported on time on his first day he would've perished with the rest of RPD. There was an effort made to ensure the baby of their team stayed out of harms way. I know they all would've loved and protected him at all costs.

And hopefully they're all resting with ease, especially Marvin, knowing their young rookie made it out the city in one piece.

there's a place in my neighborhood where a lot of kiddos hang out because there are a couple cheap restaurants & convenience stores open late without any bars/age-restricted venues nearby. it's extremely well-lit and by several busy roads and one of the safest places i've gone when walking at night & the kids have always been extremely chill towards me. so i was completely flummoxed today by a review of a business there that says it's in a """sketchy area""". until justice pointed out that it's definitely BECAUSE the kiddos are there that this random asshat thought the area was sketchy.

.......if you are genuinely afraid of a bunch of sixteen-year-olds minding their own business in an incredibly well-lit parking lot. then like. i truly do not know how to help you.

I try to stay out where my nose doesn't belong but I draw the line today. Because certain shit in fandoms has gone on way to fucking long. And if you think this post is about you it fucking is.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. And I'm sick of people trying to say otherwise. Yes, it hurts to see people hate on your favorite character in main tags but it's that person's opinion. They are allowed to fucking have that!

Fandom rule rule number one if you don't like something you scroll. the block button is a thing. that's why it exists, to hide the content that you don't want to see and or makes you uncomfortable. You don't need to go off on someone or tell them why their wrong for their opinion.

And some people tend to forget this and this is the most important rule. that's how fandom works because everyone is going to think differently. Not everyone is going to think the same. And that's fine, it doesn't matter- you just keep scrolling and go about your day.

In fandom, everyone should be able to collectively say oh I hate this character because so and so or just that they hate a character without someone saying hey that ain't cool and you shouldn't put this here.

If you don't like it scroll. That's it, nothing more nothing less hell block em if you want. that's how that works.

You are allowed an opinion. everyone is and you are also allowed to share and express that opinion with others. It's when you become a dick about how other people feel about this certain character. is when you become a bully.

and it's one thing to do it to one person and then let others get away with what you were doing to that person. Or someone saying something about a character and then not defending that character but let someone else talk about a popular character and get on their fucking case about that.

that ain't cool it's really fucking immature. As I said if you don't like something block the person or scroll past it. don't take time out of your day to start shit when all you had to do was block them.

This isn't specifically for one fandom it's for fandoms in general. No one needs to go around trying to police shit, once you start doing that you have already lost sight of what fandom is.
