I see that you want questions about Pavitr too, so! I have an idea and I want to hear someone else's opinion about it.
Doesn't it feel like Pavitr's sub-plot in the film is the most…in line(?) with the "original settings" of Spider-Man (a.k.a. Peter Parker) plot among all the other characters? And not in the best sense of the word. Look: Gayatri OBVIOUSLY plays the role of Gwen Stacy (all that's "fall > rescue by web(successful)" thing). but that's, like…literally her whole character. She almost does not have any lines that reflect her personality? Same with Inspector Singh. Like…I feel that Spot's quantum hole for Pavitr is analogue to the death of Uncle Ben (not literally, but in terms of the level of influence on changes views?) for young Peter Parker. And this is…somehow pretty sad if you know what Pavitr himself thought in the comics about his similarities and differences with Peter-616.
This is actually really interesting and I never looked that deeply into it. I actually agree with what you said to some extent though.
Gayatri is obviously Pavitr’s Gwen Stacy and we can easily assume that one of his canon events is going to be her falling and dying. The bus scene mirrors Gwen Stacy’s fall in TASM really well. It’s the same with Inspector Singh who’s basically an exact replica of the original Captain Stacy. These two aspects connect with the original Peter Parker’s storyline really well compared to the other variants like Hobie and Gwen who aren’t very similar in storyline terms.
However, I don’t think Spot’s quantum hole is Pavitr’s “Uncle Ben” canon event. In the comics, we know Pavitr’s Uncle Bhim dies in a similar way to how Uncle Ben does. I personally think that ATSV Pavitr also had an Uncle Bhim who died and that he already experienced that canon event. I think the Spot hole wasn’t supposed to happen to him so it doesn’t really connect to the Spider-man storyline. Its an anomaly occurrence. Now could it lead to a canon event happening? Yes, but I don't believe it in itself is a canon event or a version of a canon event.
Now one could argue that because he isn’t as “depressed” as the other spidermen, he hasn’t experienced his canon events yet and therefore didn't lose his Uncle Bhim/Ben, however this isn’t really accurate because we know that Spiderman doesn’t really “snap” until his next canon events like Gwen Stacy, the Police Captain, Aunt May, or Venom.
For example, Andrew Garfield’s Spider-man said he stopped pulling his punches after Gwen’s death. Tom Holland’s Spider-man stopped pulling his punches after Aunt May’s death. Pavitr’s Uncle Bhim/Ben dying wouldn’t have changed his personality, besides giving him a bit of trauma, just like for the other Spider-men.
OVERALL, anon, I think your idea is really interesting and I would love to hear more about it, and I do also see the connection between Pavitr and the original Peter Parker. However, I don't think the Spot hole was supposed to happen to him, and I think it'll change his storyline as Spider-man, not add to it.

It's so interesting how all the Spider-folks share a duality identity. When Gwen presents as a civilian, she's distant and rude to people because she's traumatised by Peter Parker's death. But when she's Spider-woman, she's cracking quips and jokes and making fun of her dad and Miguel.
Then there's Hobie who literally crashes onto the scene with a rockstar guitar and starts play-fighting with Pavitr. As Spider-Punk he has a more outward persona, but when he's in Spider society he's more reclusive and observant, keeping to the sidelines until he's needed. It's also possibly that, like Gwen, Hobie's more reserved personality stems from not being able to save a police officer or something along those lines. However that situation went down, it's clearly left a mark of him that he doesn't want people to see. I think this is why his recap is so idealistic (if that's the right word) because he's holding off information about his personal life he doesn't want people to know about.
When we first see Miles again, his fight with the Spot is presented as just another day of the week. He's familiar with the locals, knows them by name and acts as a kind of community service. But when we see him in his personal life, he's become so withdrawn from his family to the point they're actually concerned for his well-being. I'm honestly curious to know how audiences would react to Miles if we didn't know he was Spider-man. If we only saw Miles from his parents' perspective.
And then we've got Pavitr, who had only been Spider-man for six months when he was recruited by Miguel and doesn't seem to share a dual personality like his other Spider-people. Fortunately, Pav is a unique case of a Spider-person who can balance their personal and secret lives and thanks to Miles, did not experience the trauma of losing Inspector Singh. This is why I feel like, unlike seeing more of Hobie or Gwen's worlds, we see Pavitr's dimension because Pav and saving his dimension is pivotal to the core theme of ATSV: Spider-man does not need trauma to become Spider-man or that changing canon will destroy a dimension.

Six Feet's Never Felt So Far [Angst]
Tumblr media
Summary: Pavitr is only belatedly told you were in the bus with Gayatri, but now it's too late. TW: Blood and Injury, Major Character Death, Near Death Experiences A/N: you said angst..👉👈 As usual all Hindi words and nicknames are googled, sorry if they're wrong! '^_^
Tumblr media
Pavitr Prabhakar, aka Mumbattan's friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, swung to the accident spot immediately, getting to work.
A bridge connecting two cites across the ocean had collapsed in the middle and vehicles along with people were falling. Pavitr swung in saving a few civilians who fell off the railings and set them to safety. Screams get his attention and Pavitr finds a brightly coloured city bus about to tip off the broken edge of the bridge and ran towards it.
"AAAH!"
Spidey turned around at the screech only to find Mr. Singh, his best friend Gayatri's father and Inspector of the local police station, about to be smashed by a falling concrete peice with the little child he saved.
He needs to act soon.
Pavitr quickly calculates that the bus is approximately six feet from safety. He could do this!
He shoots his web, catching onto the rear end of the bus and ties it to a pole. He shoots another web at the inspector, pulling him away from the debris and to safety.
Seeing the policeman is uninjured, he turns to the falling vehicle dangling by a literal thread.
"All of you, get to the rear end!", he yells to the passengers stuck in the bus, shooting more webs at it.
His efforts grow stronger when he sees Gayatri trapped inside, shouting for help.
Inspector Singh joins him and together they pull the vehicle back onto more stable parts of the bridge. The passengers stumble out one by one, shaking and shivering from the near-death experience.
Gayatri comes out and Pavitr rushes to her, throwing his arms around his best friend. He couldn't live without her rants and incessant fussing.
"Thank God, you're okay!"
Spidey quickly retracts upon realizing he's being too familiar for a stranger, stuttering out excuses that don't come out as smooth as he likes.
Gayatri's horrified expression softens a little when she sees her father and rushes towards him with extended hands, panicking. "Papa!"
"Mera beta", the policeman says, sighing in relief as he kisses her forehead. "I thought I lost you."
"Papa!", she tugged at his sleeve anxiously, tears pooling at her eyes as she pointed towards the bus, "Y/n is in there!"
"What!?"
Colour drains from Pavitr's face under the mask and he rushes towards the bus, frantically searching for you inside and under the seats as the Inspector follows suit.
A choked cough catches Spider-Man's attention and he turns, finding you jammed into the drivers seat at the damaged front of the bus.
You seem to have crashed your head into the glass, blood trickling down your forehead. Pavitr tears up and gently pulls you into his arm, carrying you bridal style outside.
'It okay, it's okay, N/n is alive', Pavitr chants, convincing himself that he made it in time. He won't let what happened to Uncle Bhim happen to you too!
He tries so hard to be strong for you, but seeing you almost dead shook him.
"You okay?", he croaks, hoping his voice doesn't give him away. Tears roll down his cheek under his mask as he tries not to break.
"Pa..pavu.."
It was your nickname for him, one only you and Maya auntie were allowed to call him. But in that moment Pavitr didn't care if you knew his alter-ego, all he could think was how he saved you from the brink of death.
"Pavu? Is he your boyfriend?", he jokes, hoping to make you feel better.
It's an inside joke between you two, saying 'this is their boyfriend' everytime you pick up each other's call.
You smile weakly. "You're... Spider-Man?"
He nods, blinded by the tears clouding his vision, aware that you have a horrible pun in line. However, his smile falls when he sees your eyelids droop; blood trickles down your nose and you're losing consciousness.
No, no, no, no, NO-!
"Stay with me, N/n, please", he pats your cheeks hoping to prevent you from slipping out of consiouness. "C'mon", he tries desperately, holding to you tight to his chest as he shoots his web onto the railings of the bridge, "Stay with me. Just hang in there, we're going to the hospital. Everything will be fine!"
You wheeze, struggling to breathe as you heave, and go lax in his arms. Pavitr is content, until he realises you let go.
No, nO, NO, GOD, NO!
"Pavu.. I love you....."
Your body goes limp in his arms and that's when the whole world ceases moving for him. His heart beat stops as he freezes in shock, unable to digest your death.
No, no, it's not possible! He can still save you! You've just blacked out, that's all!
He can't.. won't lose you like this.
Gayatri begins to cry, holding her father for comfort who soothes her with moistened eyes; you were a like a child to him too.
Pavitr's knees buckle and he sinks to the ground, the gravity of your death too much for him to bear. Guilt chokes his throat and he lets out a loud cry, holding your lifeless body securely in his lap -afraid that if he lets go, you might just disappear. His shoulders sag as he leans into you, cradling your face, resting his forehead on yours one last time.
The other spider heroes arrive just then to witness the ever cheerful Pavitr break. It's not, afterall, too far from what they themselves have experienced at some point; such was the curse upon every spider hero.
Tears soak through his mask as Pavitr watches life leave you, sobbing at his cruel fate.
"Meri jaan.."

Let's talk about Hobie turning pink around Miles & Mayday. Why them?
A lot of people have noticed that Hobie turns pink whenever he's in close proximity with or touches Miles.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love this picture, Gwen just looks so happy that her two best friends are getting along, she's so adorable <3 Look at Miles and Hobies' big ass eyes 😭
This also happens with Mayday Parker
Tumblr media
Now a lot of people believe that Hobie does this around people he cares about or feels affection towards. But if this is true, how come he doesn't turn pink around Gwen or Pavitr?
In his introduction scene, when Hobie and Pavitr are play fighting, Hobie never turns pink, and only turns from his grey color scheme to his original red and blue one. As for Gwen, we see him around her and talking with her multiple times throughout the movie but we never see him turn pink in response to her proximity. We know that Pavitr and Hobie are "very close" and Gwen and he have been roommates for a while as well, so why does his color only change around Miles and Mayday, considering that he didn't even know Miles before?
I headcanon that he turns pink around people he's protective of.
Pavitr and Gwen, two of his best friends, are assimilated enough into the Spider Society to own their own watches, and trustworthy enough to be sent on missions and be out in the field. They work for Miguel and they are completely accepting of the Spider Society's rules. Although Pavitr probably doesn't know about his canon events, considering the fact that he tried to save both Gayatri and Police Inspector Singh, he still is considered a member of the Spider Society, as shown when Jess told Lyla to "contact" the Spider of Earth-50101 (Mumbattan) before sending Gwen there. This supports the idea that Pavitr is a known member and might have even participated in anomaly missions before. Meanwhile, Gwen knows about canon events and still supports Miguel and the Spider Society, going as far as to lie to Miles about the goals of the society and the people in it. Since Hobie obviously does not agree with the society's views or Miguel's, he would also not agree with Pavitr or Gwen on this subject.
However, Miles doesn't know about the Spider Society or canon events yet. He has no idea about the problems with being Spider-man and helped Pavitr save his Police Inspector Singh. Hobie would take this as a sign of independence and self-thought and would definitely appreciate it. I think that Hobie views Miles as a little brother figure, and wants to protect him. He doesn't want Miles to assimilate into the Spider Society and he wants to shield his innocence for as long as possible. Because of this, he feels a connection toward him and this connection is portrayed by his changing of color schemes.
As for Mayday, she's still a baby/toddler that has zero idea of what goes on in the Spider Society. From what we can see, she doesn't even know how to walk or talk yet. Hobie would most definitely view her as a younger sibling and would feel the same obligation to shield her innocence before Miguel assimilates her too into the society. He feels the same connection to Mayday as he does to Miles.
He has a sibling-esque relationship with them and that makes him want to protect them from the Society.
I'm not saying that Hobie doesn't turn pink because of affection, but I don't think thats the only reason behind it. I think there's probably a much deeper emotional connection behind it, because otherwise it wouldn't make much sense as to why he only turns pink around Mayday and Miles because the two are fairly different.
This has been stuck in the back of my head for a long time, cuz I could never really understand why Hobie would feel a connection to Miles and Mayday over Gwen and Pavitr, so this "brotherly" love kind of connection makes more sense to me. I think he feels more of a sibling-like connection to Miles and Mayday compared to how he sees more of a friendship-like connection to Gwen and Pavitr if that makes sense.

We’re almost there!! Feels like there’s a lot going on in this one, but big chase scenes aren’t really my strong point? This whole rewrite is more adding the a/b/o aspect of things anyway, not so much anything else. (>.<) enjoy!!

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Honestly, the mess started with the Inspector.
Miles had not been aware that he was supposed to have let the man die, the man and the kid he was saving, by the way. He’d acted on instinct, to be honest, because Spider-Man was supposed to save everyone. Or, at the very least, do their best to save everyone.
Miguel O’Hara, apparently, did not share the sentiment.
He’d yelled, at Gwen for letting Miles save Inspector Singh, and at Miles for daring to be there in the first place, and though he didn’t really yell at Peter B, he’d spoken sternly enough that Miles could tell he sort of wanted to. In the back of his mind, Miles could hear Hobie’s muttered warning, his very quiet “Don’t sign up for the war til you know what you’re fighting for”; for whatever reason (Miles knew the reason, he did), those words gave him strength to stand up against that idea; when Miguel pushed back with his insistence that these things had to happen, it was those words that made Miles fight harder against Miguel’s ideals.
And then the news.
Miles didn’t know what to do with the fact that Gwen’s dad had to die, that his own dad had to. He didn’t know what to do with the idea that Peter B lost a police captain on his watch, that Hobie lost a police captain (the look he gave Miles was answer enough when he’d turned to him hoping to find an exception to Miguel’s rules; Hobie hadn’t been exactly distraught, but he’d looked unhappy enough and held his arms across his chest tightly enough that Miles had gotten the picture, somehow; he’d wanted, in that moment, to wrap Hobie up in his arms and give him a similar sort of comfort he’d given Pavitr before they’d left his dimension)…
But, Miles thought, did they know that was a thing that was going to happen? Obviously they would have stopped it if they’d had the ability to, Miles was sure of that, but Gwen was well aware, her dad was still alive. She could save him, she could stop her dad from dying in her own universe. Was she really going to just…let him die? Her dad?
Surprisingly enough, Miles did not care for the fact that his dad had to die to protect the universe. Actually, he very much disagreed with the idea that anyone had to die, let alone “a police captain close to Spider-Man”, and was decidedly not going to just sit back and let his dad die just because some random alpha Miles had just met today decided that was what needed to happen.
He tried appealing to Peter B, to Gwen, by reminding them that Spider-Man was supposed to be able to do both, but Peter shut him down with a very somber “not always.” He tried to appeal to Miguel again, but Miguel barely even looked at him while he made his argument. There was a moment where Miles wondered if Miguel was just ignoring him because he was another alpha, one clearly much bigger than Miles, and didn’t see Miles as much of a threat because of it. It didn’t help that Peter B kept calling him “kid”, like Miles was the same thirteen year old who’d just become Spider-Man, and Miles snapped at him before he could stop himself. Hobie’s encouragement, whether Jess appreciated it or not, just added fuel to Miles’s frustration; Miles locked eyes with Hobie when he spoke, looking for support that the other Spider seemed to give willingly. Miles could see, whenever he spun around, how Hobie never crowded him like the other Spiders were, how he kept his back to Miguel but his eyes on him to see what he was planning. His gaze was calculating, but Miles could already tell that Hobie wasn’t planning on stopping whatever he was going to do.
When Peni had appeared, it felt like the final straw for Miles. He’d spent so long trying to find a way to meet with them, knowing they were out there and thinking they were all alone in their respective universes, and then it turned out they weren’t. They weren’t alone, they weren’t coming to see him, they were expecting him to just sit back and let his dad die —
It was simultaneously surprising and yet completely unexpected when Miguel tossed something compact at Miles’s feet, and he was enveloped in a bright red barrier. It looked similar to the one at Mumbatten AlcheMax, somehow, and Miles was slamming his fists against it as if that would somehow break it. Gwen was yelling at Miguel, Peter was trying to mediate, Miguel was loud and stern, and there was so much going on Miles didn’t know where to turn.
Hobie saved him, again; he called out to Miles, who turned to him automatically, and held out his palms in explanation. Miles felt his heart jump in his throat, but followed Hobie’s advice and blew out the barrier. The other Spider laughed, just once, and Miles —
He made his decision, and bolted from the room. There was a chase, and an escape, and then more chasing. Miles almost didn’t know where he was going, just that he needed to keep doing so. He’d barely taken a second to talk to Peter B, almost held Mayday for the first time; it was Peter’s watch going off that made him realize that the Spider Society was using literally every trick in the book to capture him, and suddenly he was done, completely finished. He didn’t want help from his friends, he didn’t want to be a part of this Society, this Spider group that was willing to just let people die without even trying to save them all, who was finding ways to justify it without even looking into other ways.
He could do both, he could save his father and keep the universe from unraveling around him, and he could do it on his own. Miguel told him he was a mistake, the original anomaly, that he wouldn’t belong and couldn’t belong, like it was Miles’s fault he got bit, like Miles was the one messing with universes, like Miles had wanted to do anything with this mess he’d gotten himself into. Even worse, when Miles had looked to his friends for support, for help from Gwen and Peter B, he could tell; they knew, they’d known the whole time and worse — they agreed with Miguel.
Miles didn’t even feel anger at that revelation. He’d spent the whole chase running high on fury and adrenaline, and that last bit of information turned him numb. All he’d wanted to do was let off steam, let go of his family’s expectations of him for just a few moments, hang out with his uncle —
“Everyone keeps telling me how my story’s supposed to go.” Miles grit out at Miguel, charging his hands to push the man off of him. Miguel looked genuinely concerned for a moment, as if just realizing now that brushing Miles aside the entirety of their interactions together thus far had been a mistake on Miguel’s part, but Miles wasn’t having it anymore. Lifting his lip in a sneer, he shook his head slightly. “Nah. Ima do my own thing.” The amount of power in his hands, complete with palms down like Hobie taught him, shot Miguel off of him like a rocket. He’d had a second to meet Gwen’s eyes, Peter B’s, challenging and defiant, and then he’d vanished off the train to head back to headquarters.
He had to get back home, and save his dad.
It wasn’t until he got back to the headquarters and started pressing buttons that he remembered her: Margo, the only Spider who didn’t follow him out of the building because she was an avatar and can’t catch him anyway. Miles bit back a curse, deciding that staying invisible as long as he could was the best option at this point, even though the overuse of his powers was starting to wear on him.
He started pressing buttons, using his invisibility to carefully look over what he needed to press to turn the machine on quickly. Margo was confused, he could hear that in her voice as she talked to the little yellow lady (Miles thought she was called…LYLA? LAYLA? He didn’t quite remember right at this very second), see it in the way she moved and multiplied herself to find the cause of the issue, but Miles thought he’d gotten just enough of it working to send him home. He let himself be scanned, threw himself on the platform, and watched as the giant mechanical arachnid descended from the ceiling to send him home. He was almost jittery from nerves, his grasp on his invisibility becoming more tenuous the longer it took to cover him in that bright red barrier again.
He’d almost been covered completely when the rest of the Spider Society appeared in the room.
Miguel let out a roar that was, frankly, terrifying, ordering Margo to stop the machine and physically attacking it when she couldn’t. There was a moment, brief, where Miles could’ve sworn she’d be able to do it; they made eye contact, Margo with her hand hovering just above something and looking terrified at him with wide eyes.
Miles stared back at from under Miguel’s constant attacks, their eyes meeting every time his claws cut the barrier, pleading silently that she wouldn’t press the button, she wouldn’t restart the machine, she would let him go home —
He felt his molecules shift, and sent out a silent prayer of thanks; she let him go, and he was heading home.

in Across the Spider-Verse, Miguel describes canon event ASM-90 as “a police captain close to Spider-Man dies saving a kid from falling rubble during a battle with an arch nemesis”
this description alone shows that Miguel must be lying about canon events. for Pavitr’s ASM-90 event, Inspector Singh does nearly die saving a kid from falling rubble. however, it was not during a battle with an arch nemesis
the Spot is Miles’s arch nemesis, not Pavitr’s
plus, Miguel says earlier that Miles shouldn’t have been bitten, and if he wasn’t bitten, then the Spot wouldn’t exist. so if Pavitr’s ASM-90 was supposed to be the Spot’s doing, then Miles has to become Spider-Man! if he didn’t, and Spot didn’t exist, then Pavitr’s ASM-90 wouldn’t have happened! (according to Miguel’s logic)
i guess you could say Miguel’s web of lies is unraveling
