I have a huge propensity of being harsh and judgemental towards myself, with unrealistic expectations and perfectionistic tendencies. Pole has taught me that it’s ok to not be the best. To soften, be in flow and allow myself to make mistakes. To take life less seriously, release attachment to extreme self-discipline. I’m slowly learning to let go of resistance and embrace more light hearted energy.

Slide 1 – I’ve NEVER been able to hold myself up like this until tonight’s class. Progress! 💪🏻

Slide 2 – Just trying to get used to the “gliding” motion. Repetition is key.

Slide 3 – Foot placement practice. Eventually it’ll flow naturally.

Slide 4 – Strength building by attempting the “chair” poses, then adding a backwards variation with one arm. This was new!

Slide 5 – Inversion practice with leg extensions.
