Scribe By Night update June 2017 ✒️ Hello Calligraphy friends and fans, my name is Cidio and I am the editor for @calligraphy and @scribebynight, as well as the manager of our patreon campaign at its new address CalligraphyLife.org.

As some of you may be aware, a few months ago I started a new job. It does not pay much, but it is better than nothing. I do try to save as much as I can. Anyway I am saving up to make some considerable upgrades to the services I provide. Based on how much I can save per year, and how much what I want to invest in costs, I will need at least an extra two thousand per year. That would not go to content at all, just improvements to the blogs to get more visitors and keep them longer. More followers and fans of calligraphy for everyone.

I am considering all options to encourage some members of our community to share and split this expense with me. If I can get 20 members to contribute 100 dollars each per year, we could all have some nice things together.

I do not want to add members to our blog @calligraphy because I have seen how that has gone very wrong for some group blogs. But I am willing to consider providing a certain level of promotion for our partners such as guest posts, as well as having a partners directory or network page. We could also rent out our subdomains to our partners. There is a lot we could do. But I do not want the money to come from our patreon fund, because that is specifically for content.

Of course if we all live long enough, I will be paying everyone who has ever donated to my projects back one day. It’s just not something I can guarantee right now.

You can write your letters on them like a post card, but it would probably take a ton of stamps to send it through. Check with your local post office for rules and regulations.
