Bringing sparkles and happiness, we're looking at the latest type introduced to the series. The Fairy type. If this Pokemon hadn't changed type, it would have been my Normal type pick. However it got the type change and it made it infinitely more awesome than it was, giving it an array of resistances and an immunity and only gaining 2 weaknesses. The Togepi line is my absolute favourite in the Fairy type. Togepi always had that sweet charm about it, which is all thanks to the Anime and Misty's Togepi. It's just adorable and soon you start to see it becoming more powerful. Learning metronome fairly quickly. Togetic is just as adorable, it learns some interesting moves but it still isn't able to utilise them well. Now Togekiss, I was so happy when they introduced it in gen 4. I always felt the line wasn't complete. I did not expect it to turn into a big fluffy bird looking thing, but it did not disappoint. It's so adorable! As soon as I was able to, I got a Togepi on my team in Pearl and evolved it into Togekiss. It learns things like Extreme Speed and Aura Sphere, a move that only Lucario had at the time. Having gained the Fairy type it gets access to Dazzling Gleam and some other new moves. It's just an amazing Pokemon and I love it to bits. What is your favourite Fairy type family?

We're normalising things for the final type question, and looking at the Normal type. Before the Fairy type was introduced, it would have been the Togepi line for me. Now I would have to say the Teddiursa line. I don't use Normal types all that often, but with my crystals let's play, I found a new love and appreciation for this line. Teddiursa is adorable, I've always liked it but never had a chance to use it. It's cute, it's got amazing attack and served me well during my jaunt around Johto. Ursaring is such a powerful mon, with it's amazing attack, later gens with its ability guts and use of facade, it makes it difficult to stop. It's an incredible Pokemon. What is your favourite Normal type line?

Let's come up with a Nasty Plot, whilst we discuss Dark types. For me it's the Houndour line. I absolutely love it's design, the puppy covered in a skeleton on its back and a skull on its head. The fact it's based on a hell hound as well, is just amazing. When I first saw it in Silver all those years ago, I couldn't wait to get one for my team, it's a shame it was all the way in Kanto for you to be able to use it. Houndoom just looks scary, it has the look of a Doberman, which are often depicted as evil. When I think of the Dark type, I think of this line and what they represent.
