Worldwide TV-broadcast interview brought to you by Mauville television
“Welcome to Co-ordinators galore! Where we interview the best and most interesting coordinaters as of now! Today we have an extremely special guest, so special in fact, that while we don't usually allow pokemon on set, we had to make a special exception just for her! It's the one! The only! Ruianna Arcadia!"
Ruianna walked out onto the set, aura rising in small amounts from her hands, but she seemed quite calm, a small white Riolu, the usually black markings a somewhat darker silvery color, and the yellow ring between the white and that of the usually dark markings. Her fur was a little bit longer, and all but the usual Riolu markings were covered in dark gray almost black in some lighting Liepard spots, aside from her stomach following after her. Tatha was already perched on her shoulder.
Meanwhile Meyu was already on set, appearing in the background, seemingly relaxed as he leaned against the wall, eyes open as he seemed to focus on the tablet in his paws.
The pinkette sat down, picking the Riolu up and setting her in her lap.
"So Ruianna, as every dedicated Coordinating fan knows, about five years ago you simply quit, without a single word, however there were rumors that the reason was a toxic fanbase, tell us all what we're dying to know, why did you quit?"
"I was actually the one who spread those rumors. I figured that maybe if they thought they were the ones who caused my absence in the first place, they'd get better. Roll the damn footage."
A clip rolled, showing a mob of people you could barely see through, all shouting out questions about Rui, including one very hurtful comment in particular, clearly heard above the rest. "Why is Ruianna even friends with someone like you anyways?!"
Rui's Aura flared at that comment, visible even on camera as her calm expression quickly turned to one of rage, and both her Eevee and Meyu glared at the camera.
"But clearly a rumor isn't enough. I'm talking to everyone who mobbed a friend of mine new to the contest scene in Lillycove, you all KNOW what you did, and if you ever do something like that again I will leave the contest scene, permenantly. I love contests. My pokemon love them too, but I refuse to let a toxic fanbase get in the way of my attempts to follow my dreams as a researcher and live my life happily or ruin the fun for my friends and family! This is the only warning you guys get. You all better behave yourselves. Or that contest I participated in will be the last one for me."
"But didn't Caden say that if you permanently quit contests because of your fanbase that he would to?!"
"Yes. We agreed when my fans started getting toxic that if they refused to let us live our lives like normal people save for events, either of us, and drove us to the point of quitting permanently, we'd both quit."
"What was the first breaking point to make you decide to quit the first time?"
"It was *#$@&%¢© horrible, I could barely go outside without being practically stampeded, my Pokemon were scared I'd end up hurt, and that's not even mentioning the paparazzi swarming my entire life. But the real breaking point was when they broke into my family's home where I was staying and tried to steal one of his Pokemon."
"Was it really that bad?"
"Yeah. And getting my education to become a certified legendary researcher? Forget it. But that's in the past, and if I find out that they're going after them again? Not only will I quit, but there's a good chance Meyu will take it personally."
"Mewtwo? The Mewtwo?!"
"Actually, I'm a different Mewtwo, and frankly prefer my nickname. But yes, I will take it personally. Rui's business is my business, and if something is bothering her, it's my job to fix it. No matter what means I may have to use to do so."
"And he's speaking Galarian. Not using Telepathy. Speaking. Full Galarian. I better not lose my job because a god threatened our viewers."
Rui's Aura calmed down, and Meyu went back to the tablet, Tatha adjusting her position on her trainer's shoulder. "Anyway, on a brighter note, I would like to confirm that any rumors that may have been heard about me adopting a kid are in fact true."
"I was just wondering about that, did you really use a Z-move with a Mega on the battlefield? Who were the people you were defending him from? Were they really using shadow Pokemon?"
"I did, but I wouldn't suggest it, I barely managed to pull it off myself, and even then it drained me quite a lot. If someone without a strong enough life force attempted it without knowing what they were doing, using the precise method I did, and had more than enough life force to make a mistake? Well they'd die."
"She's exaggerating on how much it drained her, but that's because she has an inhuman amount of Aura."
"As for who I was fighting, well let's just say they weren't exactly, good people. Who they were doesn't matter, and don't go pestering my kid for answers. I'm going to be even less tolerant of any treatment of him that's close to what happened to my friend. You can talk, interact and ask him a few questions, but if he wants you to back off and you refuse to respect that he doesn't want to answer your questions or talk? Let's just say that I'm not going to beg for your lives if Meyu decides to defend him. And to answer that last question, yes, they did. Two, but I've since purified them. They'll be fine. Wish I could say the opposite for their former trainers however."
"I can fix that."
"Meyu, no. No murder, I'm not encouraging that."
The reporter nervously cleared her throat. "So, who exactly is your adopted son anyway?"
Rui's face lit up at that question, mood changing instantly from the former angry mama Ursaring she'd just been a moment ago.
"His name is Lazar and he's an adorable child and I love him he's just so precious and amazing and he's one of those kids that must be protected always because they're so pure and kind and did I mention how much I care about him?"
"He's probably watching right now."
"Really?!"
"Also totally not going to listen to what you said earlier."
"Do I need to get the spray bottle?!"
"..... No.. also really? On TV? That's gonna be there forever!"
"And looks like that's all the time we have today, thank you for watching and thank you Miss Arcadia for letting us have this opportunity!"

“Remember, being a Pokemon trainer is a huge responsibility. You put in the same amount of trust, respect, and effort for your partner that you expect to receive.” The Professor of the Qamor region, Ava Zamia! A Pokemon geneticist and biologist, Professor Zamia’s research focuses on studying Pokemon biodiversity and natural selection- creating breakthroughs in Pokemon dichotomy she wants to understand how Pokemon are related to one another physically, environmentally, and genetically. The main goal of her Research is to currently find a link between Humans and Pokemon-if one exists at all- and discover what caused the two species to split genetically during the process of Darwinian Evolution. Her research has been very confusing lately as Human and Pokemon share very little DNA, making her quest to discover the common ancestor between people and Pokemon extremely difficult. Professor Zamia is the Mother of your rival Caden, and wife of Professor of Anthropology at Pokemon University Donovan Zamia. She was previously also a professor at the university and personal mentor to Mara’s father and the Protagonists’ mother, they became close friends as well as colleagues and continue their research independently in Pebueblo Town.

Remake of the rivals, your childhood friends who accompany you on your quest for the Qamor Championship!
“I'm so excited to finally be a Pokemon trainer!! I can't wait to catch something awesome like Mewtwo or Zaptos or Rayquaza or- wait, are those Pokemon even in Qamor?” Caden is the son of the Qamor's professor, Professor Zamia. He is overeager and definitely overconfident, as a small child he's always looked up to powerful trainers and wants to emulate them in his attitude and appearance. He prefers to just get Pokemon that he thinks are cool or strong looking and mainly wings battles, hoping to get by on strong Pokemon as opposed to planning out a strategy. Caden sometimes fears he won't be able to live up the standards of his childhood heroes, but is content in the fact that his friends will always have his back and support him.
“Thanks for going easy on me but you don't have to worry about getting my feelings hurt, honestly Pokemon battles are just pretty fun whether you win OR lose!” Mara doesn't seem particularly interested in being an actual Pokemon trainer, but she does love the concept of planning out technique and studying the intricacies of battle theory. She prefers to plan out a team and have carefully balance strategy, however she spends too much time planning things out to properly train her Pokemon so they aren't particularly the strongest. Even though she isn't very sure of her skills as a trainer, nothing seems better to her than traveling the region with all of her friends and is always there to give battle advice.

💭, any memory of Rui's
Ruianna was a little nervous, she'd admit, as she walked behind the Growlithe, who was wagging up a storm as he led her and the others to his own family.
The teen had wanted to make sure it was okay with his parents before she caught him, after all, she'd hate to take him from his family. Caden and Sigilla had tagged along with their Pokemon, as "moral support"
The puppy Pokemon happily wagged his tail, bounding towards the Arcanine in the clearing.
"Mom mom mom!! Guess what guess what!! Come on come on!"
The Arcanine smiled, looking down at the pup, who's head was a tad too big for his body, not that it seemed to be a problem.
"What is it Arko? What's got you so excited?"
Arko grinned, and if he wagged his tail any faster it seemed like he might take off and fly. "I helped this really nice person, and she said she'd love to be my trainer, but first she wanted to make sure it was okay with you and Dad!"
The Arcanine seemed a little taken aback, "Well that's certainly kind of her to want to let us know, where is she? Sadie, go get your father okay?"
The other Growlithe nodded, running off in a certain direction as Rui and her friends stepped out into the clearing.
"Hi, I'm Rui, this is my friend and Rival Caden, and my big Sister Sigilla. They wanted to come along too, and the Pokemon insisted on joining them in that, so here we all are."
She was a little perplexed, she wondered what kind of Pokemon Arko's father was, especially since his mom didn't have any unusual striping like he and the Growlithe who must've been his sister did.
Her question wouldn't go unanswered for very long, as a tall bipedal black and white badger-like Pokemon stepped out of the bushes. "Oh, so that's what this is about?"
The Arcanine turned to the very punk looking Pokemon, something that reminded her of the Pokemon her mom talked about there being back in her home region.
But Galar was very closed off, why would a Galarian Pokemon be in Sinnoh?
"Arthur, the pink-haired girl wanted to make sure it was okay with us if she caught Arko."
The badger-like Pokemon raised an eyebrow, walking over to the three teens to sis them out.
Rui was nervous, but stood her ground, while Tatha growled from her spot on the teen's shoulder.
Obsidian, who's horn was shorter was calm, absent-mindedly clawing shapes into the dirt.
"So, you wanna catch one of my pups?"
"Yes sir, I understand if you're against it, though I've gotta ask, are you from a place called Galar?"
The eyebrow rose higher.
"So what if I am? What's it to you punk?"
"I thought so, you sound kinda like my mom does, and she's talked about some of the Pokemon there. I was just curious."
Arko was still running around excitedly, unable to contain his happiness.
"Yer mum's Galarian? Sweet fanny adams it's a tiny world we live must live in, Arko don't bite yer ahrm off yer actin like yer full o' beans!"
"Sorry dad I'm just so excited!"
"Yeah I can see that. Now kid, tell me, Arko means a lot to us, he's part of the family, so why should I just let some stranger take one o' ma kids?"
The dark-type's eyes gazed at her wearily and he waited for an answer.
"Well, I care about him. He's different, so full of love, he deserves a chance to get stronger, to see the world. I know that there are people who would take advantage of it, and I know why you're worried."
She looked up at him, determined in a way.
"But I can assure you, I'm not one of them. I can try to bring him to visit you, or, if you wanted to make it easier to keep in contact, you could stay on my parents property. You could still be wild Pokemon, but I visit around the holidays, and whenever I'm in the area. It's where I send my Pokemon that aren't on my current team, and it would give you a better idea of the kind of people me and my family are."
She took a breath.
"It would keep trouble from cropping up, what with you being a Galarian Pokemon when the borders are closed, and my parents would provide a safe place for you and your kids. My father's a breeder, he breeds special Pokemon, who look different, like Obsidian. He's also part of an organization that protects against illicit breeding by enforcing regulations, and even taking down breeding rings. I understand if you're suspicious, you have every right to be, considering how you probably got here, but I'm not going to just take Arko away from you. It'd be wrong."
The Obstagoon looked thoughtful for a moment.
"I need to talk about it with Ember for a bit."
"Do you mind if we have lunch here then?"
"Not at all, go ahead."
The group had lunch, with the usual shenanigans of shooing Caden away from the fire and messing around, a Luxio roughhousing with a few of the other Pokemon, while Arko went over to join in, and was welcomed into the games they were playing while Rui and Sigilla fixed lunch, there were some clearly variant Pokemon there, with a Rotom buzzing about a Baltoy missing an eye and with sloppy markings, and a very odd Driffloon.
Later, the two approached the group, poker faced as Rui nervously awaited their answer, bracing herself for the worst.
"Well? Have you come to a decision?"
"Yes, after a bit or thinking on it, we can't be sure we can trust you to take care of Arko, he's got a bit of a... Disability? You could say."
Rui lowered her head, but nodded, trying to keep her eyes from tearing up.
"Oh come on now, that being said, where do yer parents live? We gotta know how you were raised up if we're gonna let you train our kid."
Rui's head shot up, surprised and incredulous.
"Wot, you thought we didn't notice the differences you 'ad? Come on now Lassie, we aren't edgits, don't give us that look!"
Rui cheered, and Arko yipped, tackling her down as she laughed, Caden and Sigilla grinning at the good news.

💭, sad for Ruianna?
"No! Please, come on, there has to be something we can do for her!"
It was a Pokemon hospital center, with a nearby room that was occupied and the three trainers standing, talking
A younger Ruianna was in tears, Tatha on her side and a Growlithe whining at her feet, while a similarly younger Caden, sans the eye scars, was beside her, a black Luxio, Lucky probably, standing with a concerned look.
"We're doing all that we can, but she's in really bad shape, we're sorry."
Sigilla, with a shuppett hanging on her shoulder and a curly-furred Glaceon in her arms put a hand on her little sister's shoulder.
"How long?"
"Five weeks at best." The nurse's expression was grim and apologetic. These poor kids, they didn't deserve this.
Rui choked out a sob at that, and Caden brought his best friend into a hug.
"I just, she was just fine three days ago, Cookie-"
"I know, there's no way we could've known Ruri."
