I saw your recent ask, about your experiences with zines. Would it be too much to ask what zines you both participated in? If it is, then I apologize. I'm just a bit curious, that's all.

Yeah it's no problem, I (@owlapin / @triclopsrabbit) participated in Symbiosis (Venom zine), Celestial Journey (Okami zine), Radiant Scales (tarot deck, not a zine but similar in setup to a zine), Of Folk & Fable(tarot deck), Umbral Wings (tarot deck). Plus a pokemon zine, i cant remember the name. I think those are all the collaborative projects I've participated in as an artist. I fully ran Something Wicked (Carnage zine), got em printed, but not enough interest to make merch.

@tesscourtes has done Chasing Rainbows (gravity falls zine), Fearful Asymmetry (Steven Universe), Decadence (steven universe), The Owl House: Grimoire (TOH) and potentially another that they can't remember right now lol.

In Orre, a rainbow glowed above a tower, and an age of shadow ended. In Johto, a tower fell in rainbow flames, and three new lives began. Wes has never believed in second chances, but perhaps in a place as strange as Johto, anything is possible.

My actual story for the Snagged! anniversary zine! Just a short little post-canon piece; the wordcount limit was 3k. (And I did actually make it, for you skeptics out there.)

Not super pleased with the title. I would really prefer something rainbow-themed, but I haven't been able to come up with anything at all in that vein!

The two most popular answers were short fics (600 words or less) and Reports (science notes, magazine articles, ect) We also got a lot of interesting suggestions for writing, like journals/ letters or Pokedex entries!

Q4: What kind of digital merch would you want to see?

The two most popular answers were phone lockscreens and desktop wallpapers! As well as suggestions for coloring pages and papercrafts

Q5: What kind of physical merch would you want to see?

The top 5 responses were Stickers/sticker sheets, Keychains,Enamel pins, prints, and wooden pins

A lot of votes were for pokemon that were slightly too big for our zine (which is understandable, a lot of pokemon are surprisingly big!) But a special shout out to the biggest pokemon that was voted for, Dratini! At 5’ 11”, it won’t be featured in the zine but we do love it dearly.

First ever ship: oh yikes I can’t remember this. the first anime I watched that wasn’t like Pokemon was Fairy Tail so probably Natsu/Lucy ??? Not really into it now but it was like the main ship in the show so i went along with it LOl (if we talk about when i knew what a ship meant it was during my Hetalia phase and uh lets not go into that)

Applications Open January 1st Applications Close January 31st 

Emails will be sent out shortly after Applications Close to all Applicants 

Concept Check February 13th WIP Check-In 1 March 5th WIP Check-In 2 March 31st Final Piece April 30th After this we’ll begin pre-orders. 

While we don’t have exact dates here is our best estimate 

Pre-Orders Will Open Early May Pre-Orders Will Close Late May/Early June Production and Packaging June/July Shipping August/Early September

Q: Does it need to have a background? If yes, how detailed should it be? A: Due to the nature of this zine it’s going to be background heavy! We want to really focus on the environments in which our favorite Pokemon live! In this way it’s a bit like the game where you have to look for the Pokemon in their environments!

We would want you to focus on one of the seven Pokemon Snap Level environments! (Beach, Tunnel, Volcano, River, Cave, Valley, Rainbow)
