Hello, everyone! The Satogou Week tumblr is back again this year!

As you know, Satogou Week runs from December 1 to December 7th... buuut, don't worry if you run out of time and post later in the month! What's important is having fun as a community!

as much as i do not miss the beginnings of the pandemic. FUCK do i wanna go back to my initial pokemon journeys hyperfixation. i met a whole bunch of awesome people on discord who were also interested in it, and i would talk to them every day...it was the first time i legitimately had like. a friend group. and it was legitimately the happiest i've ever been. especially considering the shit i was going through immediately prior to that. the pandemic took a massive toll on my mental health, and the gen 8 anime literally saved my life. i know it's far from the ideal that most people had in mind for the pokemon anime, but god DAMN was it my LIFEBLOOD. i wish i could send fan mail to somebody who worked on it just so i can tell them a fraction of what it meant to me. the criticism it got was really harsh most of the time, and i just wish they knew how important it was to me and my friends. that discord server is practically dead now. i just wish i could share that joy with them again. just for a day. just one more conversation with them, with the same vibe we always had.

like. the gen 8 anime was one of my biggest motivators when i decided i wanted to go into visual storytelling. it literally changed the course of my life for the better. i'm not even kidding. GOD I JUST WISH I COULD TELL SOMEBODY WHO WORKED ON IT THAT THEY CONTRIBUTED TO THE THING THAT LITERALLY SAVED ME

Traced over/cleaned up version of the Project Mew logo from the Pokémon 2019 Anime. Not a 100% accurate by any mean but I felt bad leaving it out despite having produced my own rendition of the Rising Volt Tacklers and the Explorers logos from the upcoming Anime series. I feel like Project Mew was sort of testing the waters for what’s to come in the Anime, but we shall see !
