I'd like to introduce a new Pokébomber, Pheonix Bomber, also called Phe for short!

Young Pheonix (Torchic) is a sweet and mild-mannered little thing with a heart of gold, but is also spicy, and sometimes sets things on fire by accident. Teen Pheonix (Combusken) is still spicy as ever, but still has a heart of gold, is sporty, and is butch af, though isn't very bright, prefering brawn over brains, and is also somewhat childish. Adult Pheonix (Blaziken and Mega Blaziken) doesn't change much other than she matures a bit, but she doesn't know her own strength sometimes, sometimes breaking things without meaning to (this also happens when she's a teen).

The Pokebomb V2.0

Hey, a while back I made something I like to call the Pokebomb, a collection of pokemon related fics I have found a cut above the rest and that I recommend to you and will be diving them into categories for your reading pleasure.

IN Progress Updates

Sacrifice and Subjugation A Kanto fanfic taking place hundreds of years in the future from the time of the games. It has excellent worldbuilding, great characterization, and an interesting plot that keeps ya guessing at each turn. The highlight though is the character development and slow withdrawal into the darkness of the main character.

The Summit A novelization of the classic RBY games. Good characterization, with an excellent example of an unreliable and morally wrong narrator that leaves the reader confused and worried about his sanity and yet also rooting for him at the same time. Where this fic really shines though is the worldbuilding. Building a realistic and interesting world out of the minimal text in RBY.

The Wrong Way Set in Kanto, not during the main games. This fic is heavily character based revolving around the main character's fears and beliefs and how he is actually a terrible trainer. It is also uplifting seeing him getting over those hurdles.

Lost Illusion Set in a land where there are no humans and where dragons rule everything and eat what and who they want while warring with each other. It follows a Trapinchs life. It is a well-written story for sure, with interesting characters, cool inner-dragon politics, and constant and shocking twists. It can be a bit of a drag to read at times, still, recommend highly.

Completed

Wild Pokemon Follows a newly released Ninetails that has never experienced being a wild pokemon before. It can be a bit tropey, but it's worth it for the premise alone which it introduces perfectly. Also a nice sequel and good romantic story.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Broken Ideals Mystery Dungeon Fic following the idea of there being shadows or others which can possess take over and corrupt people. It has some interesting worldbuilding and knows how to pack a punch emotionally. However, where it really shines is through its excellent characters that develop well and have great arcs. Endings are meh though.

Little Roots A champions Memoir Based off an in-game Nuzlocke of Saphire. it's short, extremely easy to read, has good worldbuilding and characterization and no real flaws but no amazing strengths either.

The Language of Life Very hard to get into, with the first ten or so chapter being rough. However, I recommend it highly as after those chapters this fic has very little flaws. The character development is incredible, it packs an emotional punch, the worldbuilding is great, it explains religion and politics pretty well within the world and you get to see a real pokemon war and it ends so satisfyingly. However, the start is very rough. Has a spiritual sequel you should read afterward.

Pedestal Like the above it starts out slow. However, it again has excellent worldbuilding, knows how to pack a punch. Has characters that develop well, one of the most tragic and enjoyable morally gray villains I've ever seen but the plot armor can be a bit too heavy, the ending is incredible though.

The Greats

The Child Of Thorns A WIP, It is a novelization of the Sinnoh games. However, it does so much more than that, it has excellent villains, great character development, morally gray heroes and anti-heroes, unbelievable worldbuilding and mythology, amazing OC's, excellent portrayals of mental illness, slow and satisfying romantic buildup and relationship and excellent inclusion of LGBTQ themes, without feeling like it's pushing them on you.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Silver Ressistance WIP updates infrequently. The original amazing pokemon fanfic, it started and inspired a ton of writers including myself and the above PMD Broken Ideals. It follows A human turned Charmander who joins the resistance against an entity known as the master. It has unbelievable character development, an epic story spanning over eleven years and ninety-seven chapters. The excellent world building and no real flaws besides a very slight slow start. ten/ten check it out if ya haven't already.

Regret Completed Fanfic, An OC Fic set in Hoenn about a mand sent back in time by Celebii to dave the world from his own horrible future. It can seem a bit edgy at first. However it's extremely easy to read and re-read, has excellent character interactions. Great worldbuilding, brings a much darker side to the idea of living in a world with fire breathing dragons, has an excellent cast of characters, great story with great twists and a satisfying is a bit open ending. Don't read the sequel though, it, unfortunately, hasn't been updated for over three years.

Triumvirate A novelization combining manga, anime, and games. Its set in the Kanto region and follows Ash (Red) Gary (Blue) Ivy (Green) In there journey around the Kanto region to stop team rocket. It is incredible fanfic, very easy to read, great character development, excellently developed romance, great worldbuilding, and spawned a huge series by the author known as the tamer series, that covers the sequel, Covers B2W2, Sun and Moon and possibly Hoenn in the future. All are worth the read but read Triumvirate first.

Pokemon The Origin OF Species The biggest and most popular pokemon fanfic out there. It follows the Kanto games loosely while taking place in a completely rational world. It explains absolutely everything through, science, mathematics, technology and more and builds the world through it all. However, where it shines most surprising is its characters which beat out its phenomenal worldbuilding. All have there owned unique goals, ideals, and codes they follow. ALl go through arcs, character development, tragedy, and the journey together and it shows again the much darker side of the pokemon world. Really I can't describe how amazing this fic is and how it does everything right, you just have to read it yourself. Seriously I can't stress enough read this fic.

Selling Out

Happiness FFN. It's my own fic, nowhere near the level of the others on the list but hey, free advertisement is free advertisement.

Conclusion

The Pokemon fanfic community is one I feel very strongly about and one that consistently produces the best fics I have ever seen, Ones that I feel need more attention too, so here they all are and I hope you enjoy :)
