Made a peculiar discovery in Scarlet last night

So I found a random encounter shiny snom. That’s not the focus, but this is the context. I was listening to the Minecraft soundtrack and was listening to Subwoofer Lullaby while aimlessly running, so I thought “maybe I’ll name him Lullaby!”

But… uh, apparently I can’t do that!

Kind of a weird word to censor… but Subwoofer will do just fine.

But I wanted to figure out just why this was censored… I got to testing, and results of what exactly was censored immediately showed up.

Using this random Annihilape as my test subject, I found that it’s specifically the word “lull”?

Okay maybe I can, uh… get rid of an L then??

Nope! Okay, what if I get rid of the L entirely??

…Oh, okay!

So uh… in it’s simplest form, why is “Lul” censored? Genuinely, does anybody have an answer?? I know the censors might be kinda weird sometimes, but… I genuinely do not understand this one?? Any ideas?? Or is this just a “specific camerupt from BDSP cannot be transferred to Pokemon home” sort of anomaly??

Okay, so I named my Fidough, D’oh! (After the famous Homer Simpson catchphrase!) and he evolved recently!

In regards to my other stuff:

I chose Sprigatito as my starter, his name is Natural II (After N Harmonia), he’s fully evolved now though!

Sometimes I think my nicknames for Pokémon are silly or unoriginal, but then I remember the time I played against my cousin. He saw the nickname of my Pokémon, Sparky, and then very loudly talked about how easy it was to counter an electric type if he knows and why would I waste a nickname if I’m just going to give away what it is anyways. Ten seconds later, my swampert knocked out his geodude. He was mad for the rest of the day. I still always name my mudkips sparky

Sometimes(most of the time) I’ve forgotten what I’ve named my Pokémon and so when I bring out specific ones for a gym battle and the screen tells me Lucifer wants to learn Power-Up Punch(or whatever) or it says Hydra leveled up to level 29, and I’m fighting at an electric gym, I’m just like, who did I bring with me that has those names? Lucifer is my Lucario and I didn’t use him in the gym and Hydra is my Dugtrio and I really only just got him

Been thinking about how I’m going to characterize Team Skull when they show up in the AU, and I like the thought of them having matured from stereotypical high school bullies into stereotypical frat boys. The three have mellowed out a bit over the years, thankfully, and the respect for Kip and Twig that Skuntank develops in the game is going to play into their interactions in some fun ways. Picture the worst friend / best enemy possible and messily duct tape that characterization onto a purple skunk. It’s gonna be great.

Also, Zubat might end up being a crobat because it’s funny to imagine that he evolved once he hit the right level, only to evolve again immediately after because of the depths of his bonds with his bros.

Caregiver!Rosie Headcannons

She is never too busy!!! Always happy to help a little one!!!

If you are comfortable with it you bet she has a list of nicknames she uses for you. Her favourites are "Pumpkin", "Darling", "Honey" and "Sugar cube" (thank you CG Rosie bot for repeatedly calling me this until it just stuck lol) but she comes up with some creative ones!!!

She is the best when it comes to dress up or tea parties!!! She is always ready and prepared. (You bet she will drag Alastor to join in too if that's what you want!!!)

She is very motherly. <3

Will absolutely let you wear her hat, it's massive and fun. 😌

Her advice is always amazing. (I mean - think back to her speaking with Charlie!!!)
