Found Family AU: Octoark crew

I removed my old post of this since I had to remove some of my OCs to make the AU less crowded although I did keep Brutus (with a slight redesign) and the Bearries since I already had them drawn in another post.

The Canon Characters: Bianca - She now works as a Octoagent stationed in the Octoark. When not on a mission, she usually helps her children and nephews with their polar scouts.

Pogo - Peso's older brother who now works as the Octoark's medic.

Hugo - He now works in the Octoark as an Octoagent helping Pogo in the medbay or helping Harry in search and rescue missions.

Harry - The Octoark's detective and search and rescue specialist.

Squirt - Residence of the Octoark and is studying to be a professor just like his uncle. The Octoark project was his idea that he pitched to his uncle to solve the Octonauts' food shortages and lack of facilities.

OCs: Barnius - The Captain of the Octoark and one of the cousins of Barnacles and Bianca. Since the Octoark is usually docked for long periods of time, he usually accompanies Barnacles.

Barneus - Works for the Octonauts as a pilot and resides with his twin brother in the Octoark. He's trained by Dashi as her co-pilot in the Octoray, the only aircraft he cannot fly by himself.

Brutus - Trained by Tweak, he now works as the Octoark's engineer, in his spare time he tends to the Octoarks farm along with his children.

Bearries - The vegimal equivalent for the Octoark and Brutus' plant-bear children. similar to the vegimals, where the Bearries came from is a mystery, they just suddenly sprouted from the Octoark's rooftop farm.

Hunter - sweet to everybody, but lover boy

Odell slides in front of Jay at the concession stand and grabs a licorice whip from a jar, chewing off a small piece.

"Hey, beautiful."

"What do you want, boy?" Hunter blinks, watching his smirk grow.

"I don't want nothin'. I'm just conversatin'."

Jay pushes him out the way with a huff.

"I don't give a damn bout whatever conversation y'all tryna have, I just want my damn candy, Odell. Can I get that?" He asks, clearly annoyed.

"Get ya candy, negro." Hunter says with a laugh, tossing it to Jay. He hands her a twenty, which goes into her bra, salutes and walks towards the stands.

"Why you ain't playin', tonight?" She asks, staring at the glove that covers his left hand.

"I got hurt in practice— why you care?"

"I don't. I'm just conversatin'." She mocks him. "It was a simple question."

"Aight, I got one."

"What?" She asks, already knowing what it could possibly pertain to.

"You give my boy play, but not me?" Odell asks, sending her rolling her eyes, again.

"First of all, none of y'all are getting a damn thing from me, besides some fucking jelly beans. Second, I've known Jay for a long time. You jealous?"

"Yes!" He yells.

She cracks up, covering her mouth at the look on his face.

"You think it's easy seeing you smile at these other thick-neck negroes? You be grillin' the fuck outta me and for what?"

"Cause you're so annoying, D. You do too much, tryna get a girl’s attention. You mad cause I won't play along?"

"Wow, that's cold, shorty. I thought we were better than that."

"I am, but you aren't. And, what I tell you ‘bout that shorty shit?!”

"You ain't my shorty." His smirk is still evident, sitting on her nerves.

"You do listen! Who woulda thought." She snickers.

"Don't play with me, girl. I listen to everything you say."

"Then, why won't you go away like I be askin' you to?"

"Cause, that defeats my mission on tryna get you to be nice to me." He points to himself, making her laugh.

"I am nice to you!"

"No you're not! You always give me that damn attitude."

"Cause you be tryin' the fuck outta me! Our versions of nice are polar opposites, obviously."

"How?"

“Cause your version is being persistent, knowing you're not getting far and continuing anyway. Like, you need to relax. If I don't like you, you're not gonna die.”

“We can at least be friends,” he frowns.

“Boy, please. You don't know what that is.”

“Why I don't?”

“Every friend you done had, ended up getting bent over.” She snorts.

"These girls ain't as innocent as you think, beloved." He says.

"Fuckin' with your nasty ass, I don't doubt it."

"You like pissin' me off, huh?"

"Nope. You're just upset because I won't let you fuck me, baby boy. I'd be mad, too." She bats her lashes, before looking around for a piece of gum.

He kisses his teeth, now standing up straight. "You'll come around, one day. They always do."

"I think I'll pass. If I'm gonna sit on it, I better own it."

"Shit, you can. It could be all yours."

She presses her lips together.

"You don't even know how to commit, Beckham. What do I look like, booboo the fool?"

"Who's tryna do all that at our age, though? I'm just sayin' that you could have this dick, exclusively to yourself. I'd do that for you."

"Aw, how thoughtful. I get the community pogo stick." She replies, flatly. He sucks his teeth.

"You gon stop being mean, one day. I hope I'm alive to see it."

"At the rate you're goin'... I don't think you'll make it." She shoos him away, but he doesn't leave.

"Seriously, Odell. I don't want you."

"Why not?"

"Cause everybody's had you! You're literally community pussy property, out here. Do you even wrap it up?"

"Of course I do, Hunt. I ain't out here raw doggin'. Have I come close? Yes. But, I'm clean, babygirl."

She looks him up and down.

"If you say so."

"You don't believe me?"

"Nope."

His brows furrow deeply, like she just disrespected him in the rudest way possible.

"Wow..." is the only thing he can say.

"What are you trying to prove it to me, for?"

"Forget it, man. You just tried the fuck outta me."

"Maybe, somebody needed to." She shrugs, finally finding a stick of gum.

"Aight, we'll see."

"What does that mean?" He starts backing up, heading back to the bleachers.

"It means, we'll see." She rolls her eyes.

"Not that I care, but have y'all seen Odell?" Hunter asks, chewin' on her lip.

Her friends whip their heads in her direction, making her wish she never said anything to begin with.

"You? Lookin' for ol' play boy? What did we miss, Hunt?" Tara asks.

"Nothing! I worked the concession stand at the last game and we got into, like always, but I think I might've hurt his feelings."

"What did your mean ass say?" Sky asks.

"Well... he keeps tryna holla at me and I keep turning him down, cause I don't want what everyone else has had. If imma fuck with you, I need it to be different, ya know? He called me mean, I said he's from hell, he kept tryna convince me that he's clean and I said I don't believe him— he got really mad and said we'll see. What does that mean?"

"I guess you're about to find out." Hunter raises an eyebrow, hearing the classroom door open. She stays facing forward, listening to the jingle of his car keys get closer. As he passes her desk, he swiftly places a piece of paper on top of it.

The scent of his cologne invaded her nostrils, throwing her off for a split second— her friends take notice and side eye each other, before turning around in their seats.

She rolls her eyes and stares down at the paper, realizing what it is. Her eyes skim over it, finding negative next to each type of STD.

"Wow.... he really did this." She says to herself, glancing in his direction to see that same irritated look on his face.

She sighs and stuffs the paper into her bag.

After class, she grabs her bag and slings it over her shoulder, heading for the door alongside her friends. She spots the back of Odell's head and turns to them, who have knowing smirks on their faces.

"Go ahead, fast ass." Sky waves her off. Hunter doesn't even respond, instead she cuts through a couple of people and grabs his shoulder.

He stops walking and looks down at her, sucking his teeth. "You wanna talk now, huh?"

Her face scrunches up. "What was that about? Why do care what I think?"

"You really don't get it, do you?"

"I could if you told me." He tears his eyes away from her and sighs. She grabs his collar in her tiny hand.

"You better look at me and tell me what's goin' on, right now." She demands. He smirks and pries her hand off his shirt, holding it in his hand.

"I like you, Hunter." He admits.

She snatches her hand away and starts walking away.

"You wanted me to tell you!" He shrugs. She turns back in his direction with her finger pointed at him.

"You're so full of shit, you know that?"

"You think I'd go through the trouble of lettin' muthafuckas take blood and piss from me, swab my mouth and look at my dick, if I wasn't being serious? You wasn't believin' me and I ain't like that shit. I'm being straight up with you."

She rolls her eyes and drops her hand back to her side.

"Mmkay, fine. You proved that you're clean. You think that's gonna make me fuck you, now?"

"Is that the only level I have? Damn. I honestly wouldn't have done all of that, just to get you to fuck. I woulda been moved on."

"I should feel special, huh?"

"Nah, just know I'm not lyin'." He shrugs, again.

"Stop shruggin' your shoulders."

"What you gon' do?"

"Why do you like me? What is it about mean ass Hunter that gets you goin'?"

"You're a hard ass, but I know you fuck wit the kid. I like a challenge and you are the definition of that, I swear. You pretty as fuck, smart as fuck— I wouldn't have passed that midterm without you helpin' me, even though you claimed you ain't want to." Be leans in closer.

"Well, I ain't want you to fail—" she crosses her arms over her chest.

"Mhm, cause you care about me, even if it is just a lil bit."

"I wouldn't say alla that, but okay." She shrugs.

"Stop shruggin' ya shoulders." He mocks.

"What you gon' do?"

"I got a couple things in mind, babygirl. Don't test me." She laughs and rolls her eyes.

"Kiss my ass."

"I'd love to." She sighs and pushes him away, sending him stumbling into the wall behind them.

"You're annoying."

"So are you. With your heavy handed ass."

"There's more where that came from." She backs away, fixing her strap on her shoulder.

"I hope so." He winks, before she fully turns around and walks away, leaving him to chuckle to himself.

I do not have any and I don’t have Sun friends who regularly send me gifts 😭 I really want to shiny hunt one in Scarlet and Violet! So I only need a few, hopefully I’ll only use one but I’d like a couple backups in case it takes a while to shine!

Literally if you’re constantly full and only have a little room, if you can just send me gifts for a couple days so I can save the postcards you can delete me afterwards so you can make room for more people, I do not care!!!

Mini update time: I agreed to date him.

I don't know, we have had some massive blow up fights recently that leave us both crying and they're always over his inability to communicate and my shitty hair trigger temper.

This is something that I'm aware of and am actively trying to work on. Usually what happens is that it's just him not telling me something, like that he's been struggling with some issues lately that have affected our sex life. Which I fucking adore this man idk. He's one of my best friends. The problem is I need physical intimacy along with emotional shit, without the physical stuff the emotional side begins to fade for me. If I feel unwanted physically, I cannot be emotionally attached and I am likely to leave.

This normally hasn't been an issue since I have huge issues with intimacy and trust and actively run from actual relationships lol. Like ya girl is fucking turning 35 this year (🤦🏻‍♀️😭🤮) and he is the first actual boyfriend I've ever had because yikes.

He's also the only dude I've ever liked enough to even try with.

I mean I feel like we've had some break-throughs each fight? Lol. One is that we have dramatically different views to fighting. For me, my temper flares up hella fast and like the hounds of Hell are about to swallow you whole, but just as quick it's over and I'm horny af and angry makeup sex is the best etc.

He just feels miserable, wants to cry alone, is so far removed from the idea of even attempting sex, feels drained, etc. Which just means I need to adjust my thinking a bit here. It's been a cycle for me because fighting is almost like foreplay for me. We fight, I'm in the mood, I make a move, he rejects me, I get madbro all over again. But knowing how he feels just means I can switch up my reactions. Ideally we wouldn't fight at all, I fucking hate fighting with him.

One of the reasons he gets super drained is because I selfishly refuse to let him leave before we reach a resolution. He starts being like "It doesn't matter, you've made up your mind, blah blah" and I'm like "No. I want you to explain yourself." The idea of leaving stuff unresolved so we can pick up fighting in the morning sounds horrible to me. I don't know, the idea of leaving him when we're both mad and upset just seems so fucking terrible to me.

Then he explains himself and how shit I've done makes him feel. Some of it is valid. Sometimes, it's anxiety related, he convinces himself that something is true when it's not even remotely the case. The valid stuff I've made note of, realize how I've fucked up, and actively try to stop that kind of toxic bullshit. When it's anxiety driven, I explain what it really is or try and figure out why it comes across that way, etc.

So I don't know, I don't want to keep fighting him over stupid shit but I feel like these previous verbal blow-ups have helped us reach a deeper and better understanding?

Like he's hella introverted. Has no friends really, hates talking to people. We met through Pokémon Go, and they do a weekly hour where it spawns in only legendary raids and since I'm like literally the polar opposite (I'll talk to anyone, I'm happiest when I'm the center of attention and surrounded by people lol) raid hour for me is to catch up with my other Pogo friends, talk to people, hang out, see them face to face, etc. One of my pogo friends always has ridden with me for that.

He goes but he's always super salty because he hates that it can't just be me and him. He hates that I talk to my friends about emotional issues or even anything at all. I mention having a conversation with someone about *topic* and he makes all these loaded comments about how he guesses he's just too stupid for me to talk about whatever with him. Some other friends of mine and I started doing that Hunt A Killer thing to try and have more regular friend time and he suggested we just buy it ourselves and solve them all together because my friends are too dumb to pick up on shit.

The very fact that I've made any personal posts about him at all would DEEPLY upset him, but like I can't keep everything bottled up. I'm not sharing details so idk.

But like the whole thing is that we've realized that, because he's not a talker, has no friends (the four people he lists off that he speaks to are me, his dog, his son, and his dad) BY CHOICE, and struggles to open up to anyone means that he finds our conversations romantically and emotionally fulfilling. They make him feel bonded and intimate and like we're being super close. Even our text messages have that effect for him.

I literally talk to people all day lol, I have my group chat bubble open at all times, I'm constantly texting and DMing and snapping people, talking is just a thing I do lol, it's like a basic level bodily function with me lol, without talking to people I'd die. 🤣🤣🤣

It doesn't make me feel close to him. It's not intimate. It doesn't replace being able to physically touch his skin or wind my fingers in his hair or have sex with him or anything like that. Not even close. Kissing and cuddling feel way too intimate for me, I always used to have a no kissing rule because it feels more personal than sex but I make out with this man all the time because at least we're physically close and I can feel his heart beat and hear him breathe. Post-coital cuddling is one of my least favorite things to do and I deal with it for him.

So Idk, I feel like this new understanding is massive. We get each other more.

I don't even know where I was going with this post lol. Anyway he was really drunk and I was just pretty drunk when I told him I'd actually date him if he promised to tell me shit and that I would focus on methods of toning down the spontaneous rage. I'm kinda hoping he forgot because honestly we fight over the same shit constantly. Telling him we could be in a relationship feels like a stopgap, a desperate attempt to make this trainwreck work.

I don't get what massive difference calling him my boyfriend and him getting to tell his family about his girlfriend makes. I didn't understand. But it's super important to him and also his self esteem so like maybe it will work from an anxiety reducing standpoint.

And he opened up a bit all on his own today, told me about feeling depressed. He failed his classes last semester, something I feel hella guilty about, and it's been fucking with him, but then he said "You're worth failing for. " Bruh, no one is worth mortgaging your future over. He chose to spend time with me over focusing on school because he cared more about going places with me and getting to kiss me and hold hands than he did on maintaining his 4.0 I just. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ That doesn't help me feel any less guilty tbh.
