That hero you said dressed in gold / was just pyrite all along / and you’re a fool / for still thinking gold / when will you ever / think not in rose?

Our house is messy and dirty
There's dishes in the sink (we are never in need for food)
There's cat toys everywhere (our pet is healthy and has enough enrichment)
There's an empty Lego box on the table (we had so much fun assembling it together)
There's a laptop cable on the chair (we left it there after watching a TV show together)
There's medicine boxes on the table (we're getting into the habit of taking our meds in time)
Our house is messy and dirty and lived

taking my adhd meds makes me feel invincible. everything i see is suddenly a possibility instead of a burden. the throw pillows on my couch are just another reminder of my failures until i take my meds, then i’m wondering how fast i could crochet my own throw pillow.
i just moved into a new house and the walls are bare. without my meds, an empty wall is like a new word document and an 11:59 deadline. impossible, but somehow you still have to do it. without my meds, i think about killing myself all the time. it’s so unbearable, the prospect of my entire life stretching out before me like an empty wall, and no one but me to fill it.
then i take my meds, and the blank wall suddenly looks like a canvas, and i have ideas to fill it with.
i feel invincible.
