hello!!! your poems are so lovely and striking!! i was wondering if you have any tips for poetry, or writing in general? i've always wanted to make poems, but i don't feel confident enough, especially since english isn't my first language..

Tips… hmmm………… well, this is my only true advice: rely mostly on what is around you. Write something around a cool synonym you like. Shamelessly rewrite something you really love and take apart what it is that you loved so much about the original.

Hi, thank you!!! I’m so glad to be able to be an inspiration… that’s so fun…. I haven’t watched severance but I have been told many times I should, that the liminal office space, memory as selfhood in plot and the Helen character would be very appealing to me!

love your familial makima and kishibe comics! how do you feel about yoshida especially with the associations he has with the latter

I like to inhabit the delusional part 1 space of “he’s assigned to a shitty apartment and lives and breathes work so sees Kishibe as a senior but they form a mentorship due to a similar cynicism” they might joke like they’re father and son, but they aren’t! There’s a degree of responsibility needed for a parental substitute to form that Kishibe doesn’t have. I don’t think Yoshida could ever see him like that.

My “makima kishibe familial” au is incongruent with a lot of canon, but, let’s say here then that Makima would probably see that Kishibe was “trying again” to raise a child “half heartedly”, as all the old dog can really do is nurse pups at a distance when he knows they won’t survive the night. But she doesn’t do anything about it. She knows Kishibe very well and knows the relationship will not be emotionally open enough to pose any sort of threat to her. He feels a lot of guilt for “failing” her, but he can’t put that “lesson” into action.

Hello! I’m curious on your thoughts of AroAce Makima. Deeper reasoning/analysis for the headcanon? Love your Makima artworks btw<3

I’m not sure there can be a deeper meaning in a satisfying way. I just can’t see her feeling romantic love in the popular view of it, and especially can’t see her participating in a romantic relationship where she’s sincerely happy and acting in character.

I’m not really active in the fandom much anymore, oh man, I wish I had been asked this in 2022. Makimasansuki has been the long standing goat though. Oh my gosh. Saved my life back in the day. It’s their depiction of Makima in so many positions and daily lives that I thought so hard about her domestic situation in the first place!

NEW OCS!!!!! i LOOVE that Father Vile taught himself English through game shows and THE BIBLE... big big big fan of that Crosshare and Father Vile butting heads over religion as well?? Ohh, I can just see the tension and annoyance ramping up and up and up... Never ceases to amaze me how after I look at and read things about your characters they instantly come alive in my head. I am shamelessly ripping your prose off in my own writing... CANT WAIT TO SEE YOUR PROJECT!!!!

Ahhhhh! My heart is going to explode. You can have no idea how happy it makes me to see people interested in,t characters like this… this site is such a wonderful place, that strangers can say such kind things to me and be meaningful to my life…. Really.. it made my day.

And on the topic, Crosshare and Father Vile are friends, but the only time he ever loses his temper is when she tries to exert knowledge of Catholicsm in any way, or if atheists get brought up, he will usually lash out at her as he is very sure (and correct) that she is just an atheist with a perversion for catholic imagery. It’s very fun to write. I’m not sure how interesting my audience is in reading (hopefully) 50 pages with only about 5 drawings , but I know at least one person will be! And wow! How incredible is that. I can’t stop thinking about it. That’s one whole person with their own life, reading MY stuff! Hopefully more, you know, but yeah! Thank you!

What are your thoughts about himeno?

She’s an interesting character concept. I can’t say I like her, the individual. She was the subject of pretty intense hatred for me initially, but as I age I can understand the melancholy of her more, separate from her actions, and she’s quite interesting to me now. I find her unrequited love and drug escapism very thought provoking.
