The Other F Word

The trees have dropped their leaves for a 2nd time.

The air is cold.

I look at you,

And you look away.

The seasons have gone through a full cycle.

The calendar is done.

I look at you,

I sit here and cry in despair,

And you don’t give a damn.

Just like a robot,

You are Emotionless and cold.

And all i can think is I wish I weren’t such a burden.

Just like a flower,

I am sensitive, yet bold.

Controlled by society

Unable to feel and comprehend emotions,

It shatters my heart every time i come home.
