Ok wait actually I'll propagandize that. NiamhPoe AKA Fire Emblem Cipher's toxic yuri couple!!

Fire Emblem Cipher had some associated JP-media that elaborated on the dynamics between the Cipher-original characters. Niamh and Poe are most charitably described as "rivals", and less charitably described as "kind of a little insane".

Niamh is something of a researcher, very logically-oriented, stoic, but curious about the world and how it works; dedicated to studying everything that interests her at any cost. The Cipher cast are world-hoppers by nature, so she takes a special interest in time and space (and how they have warped, which is what enables interdimensional travel in Cipher lore). Not without humanity, but very methodical.

Poe, meanwhile, is a religion nut with a strong sense of justice who is convinced that the force behind what Niamh is studying is evil, and that Niamh is also evil by association; sweet and polite on a surface level with a barely-hidden violent temperament. Exhibits cult-like tendencies and has a strong black-and-white, us-versus-them morality. Commits a lot of murder in the name of her unspecified gods.

Poe has explicitly been chasing Niamh across time and space for as long as she can remember in the hopes of killing her. Somehow, neither of them has killed the other yet in spite of that. Poe's fixation on Niamh is borderline obsessive (is it gay to dedicate your life to chasing a girl to the ends of time and space, lads?). In spite of the obvious religion vs science theming, at a core Niamh and Poe are similar in being morally grey in their actions and being afflicted with the same wayward lifestyle. Their character endings at the end of the web-column also reference one another.

Also pink x black wlw is a classic.

This is a trading card game, released in Japan only simultaneously with Fire Emblem Fates. It manages to capture the feeling of warring armies without actually having any SRPG mechanics, and features characters from across the whole series. It also features eight new characters! Four of them made their way into Shadows of Valentia as playable characters via the Cipher Legends DLC, and another one, Poe, is actually from Fódlan and dressed in the Officers Academy uniform, a whole extra student not seen in Three Houses or Three Hopes!

There was a first for everything. For Rafal's mint steps laid into this parlor, for the dawn of Poe herself, and now for her sizzling stroke of Thoron arrived newly and without warning. Coursing from head to toe, through each and every vein, both hot and cold; a striking liquid mortar in how it invaded the nooks of the body, wedging lightning in place of blood. From the open top of their curtained sector arose a thin plume of smoke, concerning, but not yet to such degree that would foment public concern, to end this farce as soon as begun. All was just beginning.

A most opportune time to remind that magic had never been this dragon's strongest suit, neither dealt to or dealt by.

He spasmed, soundless if only for a gasp, a sharp arch of spine off the chair at nearly ninety degree angle and scrabbling fingernails. Lightning receded and roaring blood replaced it with a fervor that belonged. Rightfully furious was the dragon; assuredly furious were his words.

Spitting curses expended far too much air. They retreated to a shallow pant then silence as Rafal considered further remonstrance, the plush end of a blush applicator, and finally the likeliest heart of this matter which had brought Poe here in seeming hunt for his. Across those recollections, he recalled that he had spoken of her in one way that would have gravely displeased the woman had she heard; only if she had heard; and even then, surely not to the extent of. . .violence.

No. That would be insanity.

Notwithstanding. Uncertain theory turned two eyes away from the powdered tool onto Poe herself, the source of overblown measures already believed to be unreal. "I am in no mood to play the maiden mounted by the beast. Get off of me and we may speak. We may be civil—and I, merciful." Clear aims to negotiate.
