apologies for late reply ,i am busy in fill to application of pmfby gov in but on last step the page need crops detail or on page i am not seeing any crops names ,the page showing only land details list or on that list after rajasthan ,page not showing name of district or sub district ..it is critical but it is ,so time passed in this exercise or on pmfby app in last form demand uid or when i fill to uid of adhar page show a message secret key is not found ..ha ha , last year i have done but this year portal is showing my account but i cant fill crop insurance application ..jai jawan jai kishan ..

here yesterday i lived busy in evening with literature event or i wrote a note on that event in hindi ..

मित्रों आज संध्या का समय राजस्थानी साहित्य समारोह में बिता ! जिसे आयोजित किया था प्रज्ञालय संस्थान ने और प्रायोजित किया था स्वर्गीय श्री नरपत सिंह सांखला स्मृति संस्थान ने ! आमंत्रण मुझे भेजा साहित्यकार श्री कमल रंगा फ़ोन से आमंत्रित किया भाई कासिम बीकानेरी ने ( लोकार्पित पुस्तक बाबो सा रो छतो के लेखक है )

समारोह राजस्थानी लघु कथा संग्रह बाबो सा रो छतो की पुस्तक के लोकार्पण का था ! पुस्तक लिखी है साहित्यकार कासिम बीकानेरी ने ! इस पुस्तक में करीब 51 लघु कथा ये है जो सामाजिक परिद्रश्यों से ओतप्रोत है !

पुस्तक लोकार्पण समारोह के अध्यक्ष रहे राजस्थानी भाषा साहित्य संस्कृति अकादेमी के उपाध्यक्ष साहित्यकार श्री भरत ओला समारोह के मुख्य वक्ता रहे साहित्यकार डॉ घनश्याम नाथ कछावा समारोह के विशिष्ठ अतिथि रहे साहित्यकार कमल रंगा जी !

स्वागत उद्बोधन दिया समाज सेवी संजय सांखला ने तो लेखक परिचय दिया साहित्यकार गिरिराज पारीक ने ! मंच सञ्चालन किया साहित्यकार मनीषा आर्य सोनी ने तो आभार ज्ञापित किया साहित्यकार संजय पुरोहित ने !

समारोह में पुस्तक लोकार्पण के बाद डॉ मदन सैनी जी ने लघु कथा लेखन विधा पर प्रकाश डाला साहित्यकार डॉ घनश्याम नाथ कछावा जी ने लेखक कासिम बीकानेरी की पुस्तक पर अपनी समीक्षात्मक टिप रखी ! उन्होंने लधु कथाओं को और परिष्कृत करने की बात कही ! कमल रंगा जी ने कासिम बीकानेरी को राजस्थानी लघु कथा लेखन को कासिम का ये पहला कदम कहते हुए उन्हें आगे की चुनौतियों से सामना करने की बात मंच से समझाई !

अध्यक्षीय उद्बोधन में साहित्यकार श्री भरत ओला ने कहा की कथा में वो सब न लिखें जिसकी लघु कथा में जरूरत ही नहीं है !

प्रज्ञालय संस्थान और स्वर्गीय नरपत सिंह सांखला स्मृति संस्थान के जानिब से साहित्यकार कासिम बीकानेरी के साथ मंच पर आसीन समस्त प्रबुद्ध जनो का सम्मान किया गया !

समारोह के इस सम्मान के उपक्रम में मुझे भी पुष्प माला अतिथि गण को भेंट करने का सौभाग्य मंच संचालक साहित्यकार मनीषा आर्य सोनी जी ने दिया !

जब वक्ता अपनी बात कह रहे थे तब मैं ये सोचने लगा की साहित्यकार मित्र कासिम ने शब्दों को टाँच टाँच कर लघु कथा तो घड़ ही ली है समय के साथ वे उसे माँजकर चमका भी देंगे ! ऐसा मेरा विश्वास है कासिम बीकानेरी की लेखनी पर !

It is almost afternoon now .. and I say sorry for the nonsense Blog ☝🏽 .. the head was working on one thing and the mind was doing something else .. it , happens in todays world, where the human has been crowded with millions of options and tracks and alternatives .. and the human is selfish enough , at times,  to get associated with all of them , at the same time .. not realising that when the different tracks are opted for , each of them has a story and a history of its own , to deal with which , is a mammoth task ..

It requires extreme will to do that, which satisfies all .. satisfaction is the most unobserved misunderstood word of the season .. everyone wishes to think of who I am, as what I have done  .. 

We are all special cases, and we all want to say something in , say an appeal, against something ! Everyone insists that they are innocent, their innocence being at all costs .. even if it means accusing the rest of the human race and heaven .. 

We all think that WE , I,  am the sensible one .. we sensible people are all selfish .. we think , or rather are determined to be who we are , by what we have done .. and what we have done, is attuned to the elements of nature, tugging, pulling us into every contract to make its terms look fair .. 

THE IMPORTANT THING IS NOT THE CAMERA, BUT THE EYE .. the eye .. !!

AAAHHHHHH .. dear ones of my loved Ef , I build bridges of philosophical expedience and comfort, over raging rivers .. 😢

I wish I could have , in normalcy , been able to build the strong willed reality of bridges, over the raging, ravaging waters in Himachal and elsewhere .. 😢😢 .. in our land .. !!!

.. that little girl with the ‘gajra’ still haunts my heart .. I wonder of whether what was given to her was enough .. I wish I could meet her again, and give her more for her liking  .. and as I drive I keep looking out , but never see her .. or anyone that could know her .. or any other in similar ..

But what I see is somewhat touching for me, at an instant  .. this 👇🏽👇🏽 ..

.. the Mother did not have a smile , as I followed them .. unknown to them .. and at a traffic halt or jam when there was a pause .. I drew my window down to indicate to the Husband, how much he had loaded the bike on himself and more the Wife .. what you see is the picture, after the lady recognised me  .. and then the smile  .. 

But .. I thought .. this is a family out to get provisions for the home .. the Husband has a vehicle, no car , no facility to have the benefit of affluent home delivery , they need to go out and get it themselves .. the bike is the carrier .. of family of goods .. and of the thumb sucking , new born .. for he cannot be left at home .. what best can be done in such a situation is being done  .. the Mother happily looked at me and smiled in recognition .. her somewhat earlier withered with the woes of life and condition face , suddenly brightened up .. I asked, ‘can I take a picture’ .. she kept smiling .. I did .. pulled the glass up in some remorse , told the Husband, who was pulling out his mobile to take mine, to drive safe  .. waited till his picture moment was over .. the jam opened .. we moved .. and I was moved too .. 

How life brings to us what it does .. how and what are its parameters at the moment of its choice .. who to give what , who to give not ..

PMFBY – Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana Crop Insurance!

WHAT IS THE PRADHAN MANTRI FASAL BIMA YOJANA (PMFBY)

The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, New Delhi launched PMFBY from the Kharif 2016 season onwards. It replaces all the prevailing yield insurance schemes in India. The scheme has extended coverage under localized risks, post-harvest losses, etc., and aims at the adoption of technology for the purpose of yield estimation. Through increased farmer awareness and low farmer premium rates, the scheme aims at increasing crop insurance penetration in India. National Insurance Company started participating in PMFBY from Rabi 2016 onwards and covered 8 States and 2 Union Territories during the past 5 seasons namely, Rabi 2016-17, Kharif & Rabi 2017 and Kharif & Rabi 2018 covering 70,27,637 farmers. The claims of Kharif 18 and Rabi 18 are under process, we have closed the first 3 seasons with which 17,66,455 no of farmers benefited, which shows almost 50% of the farmers insured were benefitted. For Revised Operational Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, New Delhi visit: www.pmfby.gov.in.

There are Two Schemes under the said operational Guidelines. 1. Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) – Elaborated hereunder. 2. Revised Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme (RWBCIS) – Please refer to PMFBY website for details.

Objective Of PMFBY:

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) aims at supporting sustainable production in the agriculture sector by way of a) Providing financial support to farmers suffering crop loss/damage arising because of natural calamities, pests & diseases. b) Stabilizing the income of farmers to ensure their continuance in farming c) Encouraging farmers to adopt innovative and modern agricultural practices d) Ensuring the flow of credit to the agriculture sector; which will contribute to food security, crop diversification, and enhancing growth and competitiveness of the agriculture sector besides protecting farmers from production risks.

Highlights Of The Scheme:

There is a uniform premium of only 2% for all Kharif crops and 1.5% for all Rabi crops., that farmers will pay In the case of annual commercial and horticultural crops, the premium to be paid by farmers will be only 5%. The premium rates paid by farmers are very low. In addition the balance premium will be paid by the Government to provide the full insured amount to the farmers against crop loss on account of natural calamities.

There is no upper limit on Government subsidies. Even if the balance premium is 90%, its carried by the Government.

Earlier, there was a provision of capping the premium rate which resulted in low claims being paid to farmers. This capping was done to limit Government’s outgo on the premium subsidy. This capping has now been removed and farmers will get a claim against the full sum insured without any reduction.

This will encourage use of technology to a great extent. Smartphones will be used to capture and upload data of crop cutting to reduce the delays in claim payments to farmers. Remote sensing will be used to reduce the number of crop-cutting experiments.

PMFBY is a replacement scheme of NAIS / MNAIS, there will be an exemption from Service Tax liability of all the services involved in the implementation of the scheme. It is estimated that the new scheme will ensure about 75-80 percent of subsidy for the farmers in insurance premium.

Coverage Of Risks And Exclusions Under PMFBY Scheme:

Following stages of the crop risks leading to crop loss covered under the Scheme. No other risk other than mentioned below is permitted by the state government.

Prevented Sowing/Planting/Germination Risk: The insured area prevents sowing/planting/germination due to deficit rainfall or adverse seasonal/weather conditions. 25% of the sum insured will pay and the Policy terminates.

Standing Crop (Sowing to Harvesting): Comprehensive risk insurance is provided to cover yield losses due to non-preventable risks, viz. Drought, Dry spell, Flood, Inundation, widespread Pests and Disease attack, Landslides, Fire due to natural causes, Lightning, Storm, Hailstorm, and Cyclone.

Post-Harvest Losses: Coverage is available only up to a maximum period of two weeks from harvesting. For those crops which require to be dried and spread in the small bundled condition in the field after harvesting against specific perils of Hailstorm, Cyclone, Cyclonic rains, and Unseasonal rains.

Localized Calamities: Loss/damage to notified insured crops resulting from the occurrence of identified localized risks of Hailstorm, Landslide, Inundation, Cloud burst and Natural fire due to lightening affecting isolated farms in the notified area.

Add-on coverage for crop loss due to attack by wild animals: The States may consider providing add-on coverage for crop loss. It is due to attack by wild animals wherever the risk is perceived to be substantial and is identifiable.

General Exclusions: Losses arising out of war and nuclear risks, malicious damage, and other preventable risks.

Questions From People:

1. Who can be covered? All farmers who have been sanctioned Seasonal Agricultural Operations (SAO) loans (Crop Loans) from Financial Institutions (FIs), i.e. Loanee farmers, for the notified crop(s) season would be covered compulsorily.

The Scheme is optional for non-Loanee farmers.

(The insurance coverage will strictly be equivalent to sum insured/hectare, as defined in the Govt. notification or /and on National Crop Insurance Portal multiplied by sown area for the notified crop.) 2. How to enroll the farmers in the Scheme? Both Loanee and Non-Loanee farmers are to be enrolled in the National Crop Insurance Portal(NCIP) belong to the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, New Delhi. Banks who are lending Seasonal Crop Loans to the farmers are responsible to upload the data in the NCIP

In the case of Non-loanee farmers, Intermediaries, Common Service Centers (CSCs), farmers on their own and other Agencies are to upload the data in the NCIP, along with uploading 4 documents.

The premium must be paid by way of NEFT only and DD or Cheques are not accepted. Similarly offline applications for enrollment are not accepted as every application needs to be filled in online.

3. Coverage of Crops

पीएम किसान के तहत पहले चरण में 87 हजार करोड़ रुपये का बजट था

हर किसान को सालाना 6,000 रुपये की नगद सहायता देने के लिए शुरू की गई इस स्कीम में ��स दौरान पांच बड़े बदलाव हुए हैं. जिससे किसानों को 6 हजार रुपये की सहायता से कहीं अधिक का फायदा होने वाला है.

नई दिल्ली. प्रधानमंत्री किसान सम्मान निधि स्कीम (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme) शुरू हुए आज एक साल पूरे हो गए. हर किसान को सालाना 6000 रुपये की नगद सहायता देने के लिए शुरू की गई इस स्कीम में इस दौरान पांच बड़े बदलाव हुए हैं. जिससे किसानों को छह हजार रुपये की सहायता से कहीं अधिक का फायदा होने वाला है. मोदी सरकार ने इस स्कीम की औपचारिक शुरुआत 24 फरवरी 2019 को गोरखपुर से की थी.

आपको बता दें कि सरकार ने PM-Kisan के लाभार्थियों को किसान क्रेडिट कार्ड (Kisan Credit Card) जारी करने के लिए 15 दिन का विशेष अभियान शुरू किया है. अगले 15 दिन तक सभी किसानों को किसान क्रेडिट कार्ड दिए जाएंगे. इसके जरिए 3 लाख रुपये तक का कर्ज खेती के लिए लिया जा सकता है. ये कर्ज 4 प्रतिशत की दर से मिलता है. केसीसी बनवाने का फायदा 25 फरवरी तक उठा सकते हैं.

आइए बात करते हैं इसके महत्वपूर्ण बदलावों के बारे में…

कोई भी स्टेटस देख सकता है>>यदि आपने भी इस स्कीम का लाभ लेने के लिए आवेदन दिया है और अब तक बैंक अकाउंट (Bank Account) में पैसा नहीं आया है तो उसका स्टेटस जानना बहुत आसान हो गया है. केंद्रीय कृषि राज्य मंत्री कैलाश चौधरी (Kailash Chaudhary) ने बताया कि पीएम किसान पोर्टल (PM Kisan Portal) पर जाकर कोई भी किसान भाई अपना आधार, मोबाइल और बैंक खाता नंबर दर्ज करके इसके स्टेटस की जानकारी ले सकता है.

पीएम किसान स्कीम से केसीसी को जोड़ा गया

लाभ पाने के लिए खुद कर सकते हैं रजिस्ट्रेशन>>अब किसी किसान को इस योजना में रजिस्ट्रेशन करवाने के लिए अधिकारियों के पास नहीं जाना पड़ेगा. कोई भी ‘किसान पोर्टल’ पर जाकर खुद ही अपना रजिस्ट्रेशन कर सकता है. इसका मकसद सभी किसानों को स्कीम से जोड़ना और रजिस्टर्ड लोगों को समय पर लाभ पहुंचाना है. कृषि मंत्रालय (Ministry of Agriculture) की इस सुविधा के शुरू होने के बाद राज्य सरकारों को किसानों के ब्योरे में आई गलतियों को ठीक करने और वेरीफिकेशन में अब पहले से काफी कम समय लगेगा.

इससे केसीसी को लिंक कर दिया गया है >>पीएम किसान सम्मान निधि स्कीम का लाभ पाने वाले सभी किसानों को मोदी सरकार ने किसान क्रेडिट कार्ड (KCC) भी मुहैया करवाने का फैसला किया है. यानी पीएम-किसान योजना को केसीसी से लिंक कर दिया गया है. इससे 3 लाख रुपये तक का लोन सिर्फ 4 फीसदी की दर पर ��िल जाएगा.

इस समय देश में 6.67 करोड़ एक्टिव किसान क्रेडिट कार्ड हैं. पीएम-किसान सम्मान निध��� के लगभग 3 करोड़ लाभार्थी हैं जिनके पास केसीसी नहीं है. चूंकि बैंकों के पास पहले से ही PM-KISAN लाभार्थियों की अधिकांश जानकारी मौजूद है इसलिए बैंकों को किसानों के लिए केसीसी जारी करने में दिक्कत नहीं आएगी.

जानिए, कैसे मिलेंगे खेती के लिए सालाना 6000 रुपये

केसीसी के लिए फसल बीमा करवाने से छूट पहले किसान क्रेडिट कार्ड लेने वाले किसानों को फसल बीमा स्‍कीम (PMFBY) में भी शामिल होना पड़ता था. भले ही किसान न चाहे. इसे पीएम किसान स्कीम में लिंक करने के बाद अब फसल बीमा को स्वैच्छिक बना दिया गया है. सरकार के इस फैसले के बाद देश के लाखों किसानों को राहत मिलने की उम्‍मीद है.

पहले छोटे किसानों के लिए थी अब सबके लिए है.

जब दिसंबर 2018 में इस स्कीम के तहत पैसा देना शुरू किया गया था तब यह स्कीम सिर्फ लघु एवं सीमांत किसानों के लिए ही थी. इस दायरे में केवल 12 करोड़ ही किसान आते थे. इसलिए इसका बजट 75 हजार करोड़ रुपये तय किया गया था. लेकिन लोकसभा चुनाव 2019 से पहले बीजेपी ने अपने संकल्प पत्र में वादा किया कि मोदी सरकार दोबारा सत्ता आई तो सभी 14.5 करोड़ किसानों को लाभ मिलेगा.

किसानों को कैसे मिलेगा लाभ

बीजेपी जीत गई और प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने अपने दूसरे कार्यकाल की पहली कैबिनेट बैठक में वादा पूरा कर दिया. इसके साथ ही स्कीम का फंड बढ़ाकर 87 हजार करोड़ कर दिया गया.

About Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY)

It aims at supporting sustainable production in agriculture sector by way of:

Providing financial support to farmers suffering crop loss/damage rising out of unforeseen events

Stabilizing the income of farmers to ensure their continuance in farming

Encouraging farmers to adopt innovative and modern agricultural practice

Ensuring flow of credit to the agriculture sector.

Government modified operational guidelines for Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna (PMFBY).

Need for modification in Guidelines Gaps in assessment of crop loss: There was lack of trained outsourced agencies, scope of corruption during implementation and the non-utilisation of technologies like smart phones and drones to improve reliability of sampling.

Inadequate and delayed claim payment: Insurance companies, in many cases, did not investigate losses due to a localised calamity and, therefore, did not pay claims.

Massive profits for insurance companies: Insurance companies have been charging high actuarial premium rates and gaining huge profits for them.

Coverage only for loanee farmers: PMFBY remains a scheme for loanee farmers – farmers who take loans from banks are mandatorily required to take insurance. Like previous crop insurance schemes, PMFBY fails to cover sharecropper and tenant farmers.

Poor capacity to deliver: There had been no concerted effort by the state government and insurance companies to build awareness of farmers on PMFBY. Insurance companies have failed to set-up infrastructure for proper implementation of PMFBY. There is still no direct linkage between insurance companies and farmers. Insured farmers receive no insurance policy document or receipt.

New provisions guidelines of PMBFY Provision of Penalties:

The Government has decided to incorporate the provision of penalties for States and Insurance Companies for the delay in settlement of insurance claims

The farmers will be paid 12% interest by insurance companies for the delay in settlement claims beyond two months of prescribed cut-off date. State Governments will have to pay 12% interest for the delay in release of State share of subsidy beyond three months of prescribed cut-off date submission of requisition by insurance companies.

Evaluation of Insurance Companies: The new operational guidelines has made a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for evaluation of insurance companies and remove them from the scheme if found ineffective in providing services.

Role of Gram Sabhas Gram Sabhas across the country have been asked to inform farmers about the enrollment and benefits of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna (PMFBY) at the beginning of the Rabi season.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare had requested the Ministry of Panchayati Raj and the state governments to include this as an agenda in the upcoming Gram Sabhas.

This is as part of the awareness initiatives taken up at various levels by the Govt and Insurance Companies.

Horticulture: The Government has also decided to include perennial horticultural crops under the ambit of PMFBY on a pilot basis.

Wild Animal attack: The scheme provides add on coverage for crop loss due to attack of wild animals, which will be implemented on a pilot basis.

Standing crop and post-harvest loses: Losses due to localised perils (Hailstorm, cloud burst,natural fire, landslide & inundation) and Post-Harvest losses due to specified perils, (Cyclone/Cyclonic rain & Unseasonal rains) shall be assessed at the affected insured field of the individual insured farmer.

Definition of major crops: Definition of Major Crops, Unseasonal rainfall and Inundation incorporated for clarity and proper coverage. For defining a crop as a major crop for deciding the Insurance Unit level, the sown area of that crop should be at least 25% of Gross Cropped Area in a District/ Taluka or equivalent level

Aadhar Number: Aadhaar number will be mandatorily captured to avoid duplication of beneficiaries.

Budget allocation: Separate Budget Allocation for Administrative expenses (atleast 2% of budget of scheme).

Non Loanee Farmers: The insurance companies are given a target of enrolling 10% more non-loanee farmers than the previous corresponding season. Non-loanee farmers can approach designated Common Service Centres (CSC), banks and insurance agents for insuring their crop or directly enroll on the portal.

Awareness: The insurance companies will have to mandatorily spend 0.5% of gross premium per company per season for publicity and awareness of the scheme.

Rationalization of premium subsidy release process: Release of upfront premium subsidy will be made at the beginning of the season and it has been rationalized to reduce the delay in settling the claims of farmers.

Time frame for the claim: The farmers will get 72 hours to intimate individual claims against the existing 48 hours. This can be done through any of the channels provided under the Scheme and directly on the portal of PMFBY.

Capping of the Premium Rate: Earlier, there was a provision of capping the premium rate which resulted in low claims being paid to farmers and it was done to limit Government outgo on the premium subsidy. This capping has now been removed and farmers will get claim against full sum insured without any reduction.

Grievance redressal Mechanism: In case of any grievance, the farmers can access dedicated grievance redressal authorities. Revised operational guidelines provide for appointment of District Level Grievance Redressal Officer and creation of State and District Grievance Redressal Cells for fast redressal of grievances.

Use of technology: Smartphones should be used to capture and upload data of crop cutting to reduce the delays in claim payments to farmers and Remote sensing to reduce the number of crop cutting experiments.

          Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana

 To provide financial support to farmers suffering crop loss/damage arising out of unforeseen events, a new scheme namely, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) has been approved for implementation in all States and Union Territories from Kharif 2016 season in place of National Agricultural Insurance Scheme (NAIS) and Modified National Agricultural Insurance Scheme (MNAIS). PMFBY is a marked improvement over the earlier schemes on several counts and comprehensive risk coverage from pre-sowing to post-harvest losses has been provided under it. A budget provision of Rs.5501.15 crore has been made for the scheme during 2016-17.

The PMFBY is compulsory for loanee farmers availing crop loans for notified crops in notified areas and voluntary for non-loanee farmers.

Scale of Finance declared by the District Level Technical Committee has been taken as Sum Insured of the crops under the Scheme. There is no capping in premium, however, premium payable by farmers has been substantially reduced and simplified and there is one premium rate on pan-India basis for farmers which would be maximum 1.5%, 2% and 5% for all Rabi, Kharif and annual horticultural/commercial crops, respectively.

 Salient Features of PMFBY

i) Provide comprehensive insurance coverage against crop loss on account of non-preventable natural risks, thus helping in stabilising the income of the farmers and encourage them for adoption of innovative practices.

ii) Increase the risk coverage of Crop cycle - pre-sowing to post-harvest losses.

iii) Area approach for settlement of claims for widespread damage. Notified Insurance unit has been reduced to Village/Village Panchayat for major crops

iv) Uniform maximum premium of only 2%, 1.5% and 5% to be paid by farmers for all Kharif crops, Rabi Crops and Commercial/ horticultural crops respectively.

v) The difference between premium and the rate of Insurance charges payable by farmers shall be provided as subsidy and shared equally by the Centre and State.

vi) Uniform seasonality discipline & Sum Insured for both loanee & non-loanee farmers

vii) Removal of the provision of capping on premium and reduction of sum insured to facilitate farmers to get claim against full sum insured without any reduction.

viii) Inundation has been incorporated as a localized calamity in addition to hailstorm and landslide for individual farm level assessment.

ix) Provision of individual farm level assessment for Post harvest losses against the cyclonic & unseasonal rains for the crops kept in the field for drying upto a period of 14 days, throughout the country.

x) Provision of claims upto 25% of sum insured for prevented sowing.

xi) On-Account payment upto 25% of sum insured for mid season adversity, if the crop damage is reported more than 50% in the insurance unit. Remaining claims based on Crop Cutting Experiments (CCEs) data.

xii) For more effective implementation, a cluster approach will be adopted under which a group of districts with variable risk profile will be allotted to an insurance company through bidding for a longer duration upto 3 years.

xiii) Use of Remote Sensing Technology, Smartphones & Drones for quick estimation of crop losses to ensure early settlement of claims.

xiv) Crop Insurance Portal has been launched. This will be used extensively for ensuring better administration, co-ordination, transparency and dissemination of information.

xv) Focused attention on increasing awareness about the schemes among all stakeholders and appropriate provisioning of resources for the same.

xvi) The claim amount will be credited electronically to the individual farmer's Bank Account.

xvii) Adequate publicity in all the villages of the notified districts/ areas

xviii) Premium rates under Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme (WBCIS) have also been reduced and brought at par with new scheme. Further, capping on Actuarial premium and reduction in sum insured has been removed in this scheme also.

xix) In addition, a Unified Package Insurance Scheme (UPIS) has also been approved for implementation on pilot basis in 45 districts of the country from Kharif 2016 season to cover the other assets/activities like machinery, life, accident, house and student-safety for farmers along- with their notified crops (under PMFBY/ Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme - WBCIS).
