I shouldn't be allowed to watch pokemon horror fan games because then I make stupid zombie pmd au. Inspired by Pokemon Dusk and Dawn.

Meet Team Drake. Sylver the Sylveon is the bad mouthed, no-nonsense bully of a leader. She seems mean, but deep down, she has a kind heart. Dusk the Persian is a kind yet timid soul. Croc the Feraligatr was the brawn of the group.

Meet Brandy the Quilava. Despite everything, she still has her jokes. She is one of the few pokemon to break past Sylver's hard exterior.

In a mystery dungeon, Croc got attacked by a seemingly dead pokemon, and not long after, he turned on his team. Dusk bravely put his fear aside and sacrificed himself to let Sylver escape. Outside, Sylver found many normally docile pokemon had turned violent. She went to the only one she trusted, Brandy. The two found that there was a zombie invasion.

Together, they set off on a journey to save the world.

Colonel & Iris as Pokemon!

Some days ago I decided I would try drawing all of my main muses as Pokemon - specifically in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon world.

Colonel was the first one I started on, so I'll talk about him first.

I was originally kinda set on making him a Serperior, but then I suddenly got an idea for how I could re-shape a Gallade's proportions to resemble him more closely. Plus, I also felt like he and Iris should really be the same species since they're siblings and all.

Anyways - one thing you may notice about Colonel is that he's abnormally tall and muscular for a Gallade. Normally they only stand at 5ft, but I made Colonel a whole foot taller. He has the physique of a super-soldier in his original form, so I thought those physical traits should carry over. I also tried to sharpen and bend his horn(s) to resemble his hat, but I also might have accidentally made him look a little like Guile. XD (I guess it hints at his Military/Capcom origins).

I also imagined that if he and Iris ended up as part of the protagonist group in a PMD story, they would both start out as Ralts. Though... I really didn't feel like drawing that, so I only have them as Kirlia.

As for how things would go for Colonel, I feel like being able to sense exactly how everyone else around him is feeling would be an unusual sensation for him. His newfound psychic powers would also take some getting used to, but even when he'd start to get the hang of it, he'd still prefer to stay with what he's most familiar with. When he'd be a Kirlia, he'd use a sharpened stick (which he made himself) and swift kicks to fight up-close. Though... He'd also be far from pleased about his natural "dress." He'd be pretty eager to get his paws on a Dawn Stone as soon as he'd find out about his next evolution.

Also, even though Kirlia dance a lot, I imagined that Colonel would hardly dance at all (if he can help it). I can still imagine him swaying slightly sometimes when he's not paying attention. Still, I can imagine a part where Iris gets really happy about something, which makes him really happy too, which also makes Iris happy in turn, so then they both start jumping and twirling around as the joy gets bounced back and fourth between them. They'd probably keep that up for a full minute before they'd finally settle down. XD

Once he'd evolve into a Gallade, he'd gain the ability to sense people in trouble over a pretty large radius. I remember imagining a scene where he senses that another Pokemon is in distress, and he speeds off in their direction. When he arrives, he sees that they're being mugged by another pokemon, so he tackles the robber to the ground and pins them by the neck. From there he'd give the victim back their possessions, and drag the robber back to the Sheriff, where they'd get thrown in jail. I can imagine they'd offer Colonel a job after that, thanks to his natural ability to sense trouble.

As for Iris, I kinda feel like she might end up staying a Kirlia throughout the whole story. Either that, or it would just take her a longer time to evolve for some reason. I guess it could be because she'd rather avoid fighting, so she wouldn't get as much exp. I also feel like she'd take to her new form and powers better than Colonel would. In a way, it would feel like second-nature to her. I also kind of get the feeling that being able to sense what's in her friends' hearts would make her feel like she understands them better as people (which is why I have the headcanon that this pokemon species tends to easily form deep emotional attachments to others). She also might accidentally find out some of their secret feelings too though... Still, I can imagine her feeling even closer to everyone by the end of the adventure. The Pokedex also says that Kirlia can distort space to see into the future, so I can also imagine Iris sometimes doing that to help her in a fight or when she feels scared. Colonel wouldn't even bother though. XD

I guess that's all I have to say for now though. I'm planning to draw some of my other main muses as Pokemon, but I still haven't decided on which ones they should be yet. You can take a look at my "poll" and give me feedback if you'd like to help me choose. General might be the only one left now. 🤔

53. Favorite dragon type

Easy, Hydreigon! Mostly due to pmd gates but also because its such a fun pokemon and I adooore the head hands

57. Favorite dark type

Itching my head.. I might have to go with Sableye! I love that nasty little stink. Though Chien pao has QUICKLY stolen my heart.

67. Favorite animated adaptation (does this mean season? I'll assume it does for this)

Id go with the diamond and pearl seasons of the anime! I really loved Ash and Dawn's friendship :-]

68. Least favorite animated adaptation

Fucking origins because I get so so fucking stinky at iterations of Red that speak words

Stuff from this story-

-Takes place in the PMD universe but in a modern setting, so some double-stacked AU, since the heist takes place in a modernish party -talking sentient pokemon -they keep thinking Quint's one of those humans like in the stories (this hits Grovyle hard especially) -Quint keeps thinking he's more of a Pokemon (is he wrong though) -Gap moe because somewhere deep in his cold shut-off heart, a love for animals just makes Quint wanna pet, hug, squish all the pokemon -Their team is also supported by Dusknoir and Celebi -Future Trio becomes Future Quintet -I spent a STUPID amount of time thinking about their epithets, "Darkest before Dawn" and "Having Fun" respectively. -They have to steal something from Dialga, some sort variations of the Time Gear -Every time they fail to "steal time", it loops back to the beginning of day but for the sake of the story, it just shows the beginning of the party (maybe it's better to have the loop be a few hours then?) -Quint's probably at the party (in this universe) because of Palkia and/or Giratina -honestly the reason/plot is that important because it's basically a vehicle for JOEKS and maybe a real moment or two

That's all I thought of because it's really just not a serious story, more about fun scenes borne fromt thinking about name puns (Stolen Time)

i really hope game freak gives pla an actual ending. like it really feels like they forgot to write one and it makes the whole experience feel empty. like don't get me wrong i love the characters and the game is super fun but it feels incomplete. like this is only half of a story. hisuian snow is cool but it feels like we lost our last chance at an actual conclusion to the story. especially with gen 9 approaching the future of this game looks bleak. the time theme does give me a little hope some of the story in pla will be expanded upon in someway but it's still a small chance and i doubt it'll actually happen. of course future legends games are possible but i'm not sure they'd really connect to arceus. especially if they're not in sinnoh or even the same time period. as someone who is really attached to dawn/akari i just really wanted the protagonist to go home. people might argue that if it had a definitive ending you can't shiny hunt anymore but games like the kingdom hearts series already figured this out like 20 years ago. have a save that is right before the ending gets triggered so you can go back and do the stuff you missed it's literally that simple

also sorta off topic but i really hope we AT LEAST get one last update like daybreak and they call it nightfall it's literally so perfect they gotta do it

I do agree with you Anon. It does seem like more could be done, but I understand if they didn’t invest as much on the game’s story due to concerns it wouldn’t be received well (but it was!!)

The dream would be to get more DLC released with/after this last episode, connecting the game with the series (and I have already discussed why I think Alec’s return to Hisui is around the same time the protag comes to Hisui) and have the DLC expand upon whatever connection this last episode would hint at, while having that DLC give some resolution that we feel the game needs.

I do think at some point they would have had something connected to the modern world, seeing as a modern room was found in the games files. It either could have been part of the prologue, or a segment where you go home, like what you said. (And right? Even PMD had solved the issue you brought up as well!)

AND OH MAN ANON that would be such a great name!! Daybreak and Nightfall! Love it!

Read your fic while on my breaks at work today and it really helped me get through my day. The mystery dungeon games hold a special place in my heart, and Legend Arceus as to be one of my favs poke games in years. This fic brings me so much joy - thank you so much for all your hard work and for sharing it with us.

I have a working theory that Arceus sent Ingo to that world to save Lucas/Dawn in some way, but that might just be my own brainrot. I also think Lady Sneasler remembers Ingo in some way, though I don't how. Also, I love the world building you've done. I'm so curious as to what happened to the humans.

Sorry for the long ask, I kinda started rambling there.

Dawn shakes the rain out of her wool as she enters the little building that houses the Pomeg Press. The Guildmaster has entrusted her with a document to deliver to some journalist there, but she conveniently forgot the name of the Pokemon. Approaching the front desk, she pulls out the envelope from her satchel that is thankfully dry. 

“Excuse me...I was wondering whether you knew who was responsible for...ah, doing...maybe a feature on the Rescuer’s Guild or something related?” 

The receptionist looks at her skeptically, and is about to answer when the phone next to him rings. He answers it--then as horror crosses his face--grabs some papers from the desk and disappears into the door leading to the main offices. Dawn tries hard not to freak out, but her heart is hammering and she doesn’t know what to do, she doesn’t know what to do, she doesn’t want to make a fool out of herself and look uncertain even for a moment--

Out of the corner of her eye she spots a Chimecho at the drinking fountain, pouring himself some beverage or another. She decides to give it a shot.

“Sorry to disturb you, um, but do you know who’s responsible for taking in this document that I have from the Rescuer’s Guild?”

I just finished playing Path of Radiance. The Tellius games have become so close to my heart incredibly quickly, it's amazing. Radiant Dawn is only beaten by Pokemon Black in terms of being my favourite, which is amazing. FE9 can't beat PMD Red/Sky, however. I just love Tellius so much. Help my poor soul.
