Kate's OC: Yarren was born into a world where his people are oppressed - their way of life, religion and language were all suppressed and made illegal under foreign rule. But even though his parents were killed for keeping the Istritu traditions, Yarren stubbornly hangs onto the old customs and fights the oppression with all he has. He got his face tattoos and wears his braids proudly. Since a young age he showed signs of being touched by a god - he has the power to manipulate plants. As for his personality, there's a lot of anger in his short body and it doesn't take much for it to bubble to the surface. He's arrogant and prickly and doesn't trust easily, all to the point of self-sabotage. He cares deeply, though, about his friends and all of his oppressed nation. He is good with words and quite charming when he wants to be and people naturally follow him. Secretly he dreams about a big romantic love, but it's the kind of love that is also forbidden.

My OC: Manuel is an archwizard with incredible creativity as far as making spells goes. The only thing bigger than his skills is his ego, accompanied by a slight god complex. That being said, his own delusions of grandure instil a certain sense of duty in him. He believes that someone as powerful as him must protect the world and the people in it. He usually doesn't ask for any physical reward but loves to bask in his fame. The gratitude of people and the feeling of being needed are his main motivation. His intentions, although noble, somtimes lead to undesired results though. Traumatized by a war that destroyed his home, he has given the whole world an ultimatum—cease all aggressive behaviour towards other people, or face justice. Few dared to believe him until he started destroying kingdoms and toppling empires. Now, the world is locked in superficial peace under the threat of his "divine" retribution.

How would they interact: First and foremost, I assume Manuel would be moved by Yarren's desire to fight the oppression of his people. He wouldn't hesitate to offer his skills to the cause, hoping to eradicate the conflict altogether, which might bring undesired results as well. At the same time, he would be fascinated by Yarren's relation with an actual God. I assume he'd be very "vocal" about his desire to study what Yarren can do and where the limits of his powers lie. I do feel like the two would bicker and fight a lot though, as Manuel is someone whose arrogance and self-confidence can easily irritate people. Especially someone who isn't very trusting or is a bit arrogant themselves.

Okay, I don't have that many people to tag for this, so I'll just leave it open to people and maybe gently poke @aaftergloweeye and @plushbunbun-blog. No pressure though. ^^;
