Winter 2019

It was a mild Winter's afternoon in LA. You walked down the stairs of your family home, bag in hand, smiling when you spotted your family sitting around the table, a board game in the middle.

"Y/N! Come join us!" Your mum called when she spotted you enter the room. You shook your head.

"Maybe another time, sorry guys. I'm actually just heading out, I'm gonna stay with Charlie tonight... is that okay?" Your father sighed before nodding.

"When will we get to meet this Charlie boy that we hear so much about?" He asked, standing up to walk over to you. You shrugged.

"I'm not too sure, but it will be soon, I promise." You grinned. Your little sister looked up from the game board.

"What's he like Y/N?" She asked, looking at you intently. A soft smile appeared on your face at the thought of your boyfriend.

"He's really sweet. He's funny, just like you Dad. He’s not super tall but it doesn’t even matter. And he loves dragging me along on hikes." You paused.

"I really like him." You finished. Your dad frowned slightly, but hid it quickly.

"That's nice to hear darling. Don't forget a jacket, okay?" He told you. You looked at your father knowingly. He had been like this with every boy you’d ever brought home, not that you'd brought home tons of boys before.

"No it's okay, it’s not that cold outside today. Besides, he's waiting outside for me." You said, glancing down at your phone to see the text from Charlie.

'I'm here' it read. You looked back up again, noticing your father watching you. He stepped closer, pulling you into a hug.

"Don't freak out Dad, I'll be fine." You assured him. He squeezed you tightly.

"I just worry about you." You smiled, pulling away.

"I know, I get that. But I'm an adult now Dad. I got this."

"I know, I know." He sighed. By now the rest of the family had gone back to their game.

You patted your dad on the chest before turning to leave, stopping when your hand touched the doorknob. You turned back around to face your father.

"Just remember Dad, you were the first man that really loved me." And with that you turned back to the door and left, leaving your dad to smile sadly. His little baby was growing up.

 Summer 2020

It was Summer and you and Charlie had a few days off from work. You had decided to head back to LA together, to visit your family. After all, you had been dating for over a year and Charlie still hadn't met your family yet. The family that you spoke so highly of.

You touched down at LAX and made your way through security quickly.

"You ready?" You asked, holding tightly to Charlie's hand as you made your way to baggage claim, where you had organised to meet your parents.

"Honestly? I'm fucking petrified." Charlie responded, causing you to laugh.

"You'll be fine. Everyone loves you Char, and my family will be no different." You walked around the corner, spotting your Dad quickly.

"Dad!" You called, rushing over to hug your father. Charlie walked over slowly. You pulled away and grinned, glancing at Charlie.

"Dad, I'd like to meet my boyfriend, Charlie." You introduced. "Char, this is my dad, Sam."

Charlie held his hand out for your dad to shake.

"It's nice to officially meet you Mr Y/L/N. Can I call you Sam?" He smiled nervously. Your father looked him up and down before taking his hand and shaking it.

"Sir will do. Charlie, short for Charles I assume?" His glare was stone cold. Charlie swallowed, nodding.

"Yes sir, but I prefer Charlie." Your father nodded before turning his attention back to you.

"How long are you two here for?" He asked, ignoring Charlie, who moved to grab the both of your bags that were coming along the carousel.

"We have 8 days off, but we're only here for 4." You responded. Your dad nodded.

"Well I guess that's better than nothing. Come on let's go, your mother is waiting in the car outside. She didn't want to pay for parking so she's been driving around while I waited in here."

And with that the three of you headed outside to the car.

 Luckily for Charlie the rest of your family weren't as scary as your father was.

Your mother was lovely, and she had been very welcoming, even speaking to him in French when it was brought up that the two shared a common language.

Your brothers were really cool and invited him to join them to play video games whenever he wanted.

And your little sister, well, she adored the Canadian boy from the minute he walked through the front door.

And just like that Charlie’s first day at the Y/L/N house was over.

After sitting outside for hours with you and your parents, Charlie decided to head off to bed, and with a quick kiss for you and a murmured "goodnight" he was gone.

"So what do you think?" You asked once you knew that Charlie was well and truly inside.

"He's lovely darling." Your mother told you, smiling. You turned to your father.

"Dad?" You asked. Your father shrugged.

"He's not too bad, I guess." He admitted. You shook your head slightly. Of course your father would say that.

"I met his family you know? They're really nice, just like you guys." You told your parents.

"Oh, that's good sweetie." Your mum grinned.

"His parents are great, they're really down to earth. And his brothers and sister are really cool. Plus they love their hockey." You looked at your dad as you said the last part, knowing how big of a hockey fan he was. Your dad nodded in appreciation.

"That's good to hear. If they like hockey they must be good people." Your mother nodded in agreement with her husband. You fell into a comfortable silence for a few seconds.

"You know..." You began, breaking the silence. "I think he might be the one." Your mother put her hand up to her mouth, unable to hide her excitement.

"Oh Y/N, you really think so?" She asked. You nodded.

"Yeah, I really love him." You smiled.

"And he's a good man?" Your dad questioned, fixing his gaze on you. You nodded quickly.

"I swear on my heart. He loves me, and he'd never hurt me." You assured him.

"Good." He said, and with that the conversation was over, the topic changing to gossip about a family friend who's husband had cheated on her.

And later when you were heading off to bed you made sure to give your dad an extra big hug and remind him softly that he was the first man that really loved you.

 The four days passed quickly and before anyone knew it, it was time for you and Charlie to leave.

Your family gathered on the driveway, next to Charlie’s car that he had collected on your second day back. After a few hugs with your siblings Charlie moved to bid farewell to your parents. Your mother pulled him into a hug.

"It was lovely to meet you darling." She said softly, before pulling away.

"You too." He smiled. "It was lovely to meet all of you."

"Don't be a stranger Charlie." She said.

"Yeah come back all the time." Your little sister agreed. Charlie nodded.

"I'll make sure of it." He turned his attention to your father, holding out his hand for him to shake. Your father took it, shaking it firmly.

"Thank you for having me sir." Charlie smiled politely. Your father paused, before faking a smile.

"It was no problem." You exchanged a knowing look with your mother. You both knew that your father didn't think that Charlie deserved you.

After a few more goodbyes you and Charlie hopped into the car and left, waving to your family as you pulled out. You had barely made it to the end of the street before you grabbed Charlie's arm.

"Wait we need to go back." You said quickly.

"Why?" Charlie asked, but turned around nonetheless.

"I forgot to tell my dad something." He pulled up in front of the house and you jumped out quickly, rushing over to your father who was still outside. He looked at you in confusion.

"I forgot to say, remember you were the first man who really loved me." You smiled softly, and with one last hug you left again.

 Spring 2022

It was a beautiful Spring day in Hawaii. You and your father were stood together at the top of the beach, dressed to the nines, him in a fancy suit and you in your chosen wedding outfit.

It was almost time.

Time for you to walk down the aisle and marry the love of your life.

You looked over at your father, noticing his tie was slightly crooked. You took a step closer, and fixed the tie, watching as he tried to fight back the tears that were threatening to fall. You smiled softly at him.  

"You know, I've never seen you cry before." You whispered. Your dad smiled, a tear falling down his cheek.

"You just look so beautiful Y/N. No matter what, you'll always be my little baby." He responded, pulling you into a hug.

As you separated the music began to play, and he held his arm out for you to take.

"Here we go." You whispered, and the two of you began your walk down the beach to where Charlie was waiting, teary eyed, at the end of the aisle.

As you walked, your father found himself looking over at you, taking in the tears of happiness and the look of love that you were giving Charlie. Your dad smiled to himself, glad that you had finally found the perfect man for you.

You reached the end of the aisle and you pulled your father into a hug.

"Remember," You whispered. "You were the first man who really loved me." You pulled away, stepping back. Your dad hesitated for a second before stepping forward to pull Charlie into a hug.

"Take care of my little angel." He whispered. Charlie nodded.

"Of course Sir." They pulled apart and your dad smiled softly.

"You can call me Sam."

Summary: Toni forms an unsuspecting friendship with Christopher that turns into something more. As her feelings towards him continue to grow she starts to  unravel the secrets that surround him and in return, he unravels her completely.

Chapter 4: Let the games begin

After the eventful night between Toni and Chris, it was like the days went by rather quickly and before she knew it, Friday was here and Toni’s nerves were coming along for the ride. When she came home that night and told her girls about what transpired with her and the mysterious business mogul they gave out beaming smiles and all three of them jumped around, excited that Toni was going out on a date. And of course, don’t even get her started on Aaliyah, the woman was more than elated, and every chance she got she made sure to bother Toni about her new “boyfriend.”

Toni was walking in from work at Print Monthly and let out a yawn. Working two jobs, and writing a new article was slowly catching up with her, but with enough caffeine, she thinks she could make it through. She took off her heels and placed her keys on the entrance table trying to stifle yet another yawn, that was on its way out of her mouth. As she went further into the apartment she didn’t hear any movement from either of the girl’s rooms so she figured she was home alone. Toni went into her room not caring to turn on the light since she had a small night light in the corner and shut the door. She dropped her purse on the floor and took off her clothes, only leaving on her bra and panties. Toni sighed and shuffled to her bed, face planting into it as she wrapped her sherpa throw around her body. Since the AC was fixed the day before her place was nice and cool and all she wanted to do was take a small nap.

But before she could float away to unconsciousness her door was rushed open and the light flicked on, “Oh no bitch, get up!”

Toni groaned hearing Rocky’s voice and covered her face with the blanket, wishing for  a couple of minutes of sleep, “Antonia Kelis Thompson, up now!”

The blanket was ripped away from Toni, and she put her face into the pillow, “Just five minutes,” she groaned.  

“No, get up! Sage made you a smoothie to help with your energy before she left for the grocery store and you need to drink it so we can get you together for tonight.”

Toni turned her head and looked at Rocky, she was standing next to her bed with her eyebrow raised and a hand on her hip and the other was outstretched with said green smoothie in her grasp.

“It’s only six Rocky, we meet up at nine.”

True to his word, Chris hit her up and they set up a time and place to meet up, the place being an escape room to which Toni was particularly thrilled about. She had always wanted to go to one and she vaguely remembered mentioning it to him on one of their morning talks at the cafe. After they arranged their night out they continued texting each other throughout the day and it felt good to have that feeling of giddiness whenever she heard her phone ding and it possibly being him.

Toni huffed and sat up, sitting cross-legged on her bed and took the drink from Rocky’s hand. Taking a few sips she scrunched up her face from the taste but soldiered on when she saw the look Racquel gave her. When she finally finished the last bits of the smoothie, she put the glass on her nightstand and turned back to her friend.  

“All finished, what’s next on the list warden?”

Racquel rolled her eyes, “So damn dramatic, go take a shower and I’ll dive into that mess  you call a closet to find you something to wear.”

Toni stretched her limbs as she stood up from the bed while Rocky shooed her to the bathroom grabbing her towel from the back of the door in the process.

“And don’t forget to shave bitch!” Rocky yelled out.

“I shaved my legs yesterday, why the hell am I going to do them again?” Toni said poking her head out from the doorway, her confusion was evident.

“I’m not talking about your legs, girl,” Raquel said, winking. Toni didn’t plan on sleeping with Chris tonight but with how crazy the attraction was between them anything was possible. So with understanding and gratitude, Toni simply nodded and backed into the bathroom, closing the door and getting to work.

After the long half-hour of exfoliation, shaving, and showering, Toni came out of the bathroom feeling fresh and squeaky clean and walked into the sight of her bed strewn with clothes. She took in the sight of her best friends arguing with a piece of clothing in their hands about which outfit would work best. She chose to ignore them knowing that whatever they picked would be applicable and tightened the towel on her form, going to her vanity to do her makeup and hair. The girls interrupted her a few times showing her what they chose and Sage helped Toni curl her hair in the back. Music and bouts of laughter were heard throughout the home and the minutes ticked by getting closer to when Toni was deemed to leave. She was just putting on her light blue jeans when her phone went off, interrupting the song that was playing on her Bluetooth. Rocky and Sage continued talking about whether she should wear heels or sneakers, and Toni finished buttoning her pants walking over to her device. The name Chris was on her screen, and before the voicemail picked up she answered.

“Hello,” she said.

“There she is, thought you weren’t gonna answer,” Chris’s smooth voice came through the phone, making Toni’s stomach flutter with butterflies. She could vaguely hear noises of machinery in the background but she didn’t think anything of it because as quickly as the noise came it was gone, like he went into a separate room.

“I mean I didn’t have to pick up, especially since you're interrupting me getting ready for my date,” Toni sat down on the bench at the end of her bed.

“Oh, word? Who’s the lucky man?”

Toni looked down at her nails, “Some guy I met a couple of weeks ago, he ain’t all that but I decided to have mercy and give him a chance.”

Chris laughed into the receiver, “I bet he’s hype as fuck to take your pretty ass out.”

Toni shrugged like he could see her, “I mean, I am kind of great.”  

“That you are Antonia, that you are.”

Toni covered her mouth with her fingers, trying to control the megawatt smile that was threatening to break out. They knew each other barely a month and already the way Chris made Toni feel was slightly alarming. “Is everything okay though, because if you need to change the time or something that’s fine.”

“Nah we good, just wanted to check up on you. And make sure I wasn’t gonna do an escape room by myself.”

“No worries, I’ll be there,” Toni said grinning.

“Aiight, so I’ll see you soon yeah?”

“Yes, sir nine o’clock.”

Chris chuckled, “Aight mama, later.”

Toni hung up and put her phone back on the charger, “I’m guessing from all the flirting we just heard, that was him,” Sage asked.

She shook her head, “Yeah, he was calling to make sure we were still on tonight.” Toni went and looked at the shoe options they picked out, thankful that her friends lended out a helping hand.  

“We think the all-white Nike’s would look great with your outfit. Plus it will give your feet a break from the heels and you can run around as you play the game with your boyfriend,” Rocky smirked when Toni gave her a dirty look at her use of the “B” word.

“I agree,” she told them. After bending down to put her sneakers on, Toni stood up and examined her outfit in the mirror, liking how it looked. The white bodysuit accentuated her curves and the light blue jeans and sneakers really brought everything together, making her feel comfortable but be cute at the same time. Toni sprayed her perfume and got her crossbody bag and phone, listening to her friends give her a pep talk as she walked to the front door.

“We put some wipes in your bag and some mints as well just in case your breath gets hot,” Sage said, following behind Toni.

“Oh yes and some pepper spray if he decides to get handsy,” Raquel continued, bringing up the rear, “You never know he can turn into an asshole when the clock strikes twelve.”

Sage gave Rocky a glare and nudged her, “I doubt it will come to that, Racquel but it is always good to be safe.”

“Yes, it is,” Rocky grumbled, rubbing her sore side. Sage may be small but her elbow had some power behind it.

Toni turned to them when they reached the door, “Thanks guys for all the help.”

“We got your back girl, you know that.”

“And have fun tonight please, you deserve it and it will do you good to get some dick. It might help you stop being so damn uptight.”

“Sage!” Toni gasped, hitting the girl’s arm while Rocky stood next to her nodding in agreeance.

“I can’t stand you guys.” Toni picked up the keys she left on the small table by the door and opened her arms, “Alright give me some loving.”

They all came in for a group hug, just like they always did back in college, “Love you hoes,” Toni murmured.

“We love you too,” Sage and Rocky said together.

Pulling into the parking lot Toni texted Chris letting him know she had arrived and while she waited on his reply she stared down at her phone and went through her social media. Suddenly a knock on her window made her jolt in the seat and look up with a hand to her chest. She let out a breath when she saw it was Chris at her window, his eyebrow raised and his mouth curved into a smirk.

“Geez Chris, you scared the shit out of me,” Toni exclaimed through the closed window.

She reached next to her, to get her purse and took her keys out of the ignition, placing them and her phone into her bag. She unlocked the door and he opened it for her, a smile still residing on his lips, “My bad ma, I didn’t mean to scare you.”

Toni side-eyed him as she got out, “Liar, you know damn well it’s too dark for your ass to be playing games.”

“Oh shit, don’t tell me big bad Antonia is scared of the dark.” Chris closed her car door behind her and Toni hit her key fob locking the vehicle. They began walking through the sparsely lit up parking lot, heading towards the building that had MadeYa Look Escape Room in bright lights at the front.

“Listen, frightening things live in the night, so don’t shame me.”

Chris chuckled as they walked side by side, his hands behind his back, “Nah, no shaming here baby. I used to be the same way, years ago.”

Toni felt a jolt at this new nickname, she hadn’t been called baby from the opposite sex in years and it made her feel warm inside to be hearing it from him. Toni decided to play it cool and not show how much the term of endearment affected her, but she secretly promised herself she would gush about it later in the privacy of her home.

“What made you stop being scared?” Toni asked as they finally reached the entrance.

She went to open the door but his ring covered hand was suddenly on top of hers, making her palm sweat on the cool metal of the handle, “When I became the scary thing to the monsters.”

Toni noticed the sudden shift between them as she gazed into his dark brown orbs. You would think after a statement like that she would be afraid but she felt perfectly fine, safe even. She didn’t know what to think about that, so she intended to not think about it at all.

“I forgot to tell you earlier but you look beautiful,” Chris said, his eyes not leaving hers, he was close enough that he could hear her breath stutter but didn’t comment. Toni bit her lip and pushed a piece of hair behind her ear.

“You got your nose pierced,” she said, surprised. Toni saw the faint glint of the piercing from the glare of the lights and even though she never dated a guy with one it was different and it fit him perfectly.

Chris took note of the change of subject but he nodded anyway and ran his tongue across his bottom lip, making it shine, “You like it?”  

“It’s cute,” She said with faux disinterest. Just like last time, with the close proximity they were in Toni could smell his cologne that was dark and subtle. They would kiss if she stood on her tiptoes.

“You ready for me to whoop your ass in this game?” Chris teased, and just like that the spell was broken and the light-hearted flirting came back into play.

Toni scoffed, grateful for the break from the tension “Please, the question is are you ready?”

With her hands still encompassed in his, they both opened the door and went to the front desk to pay and get instructions. The brunette clerk who they later learned was named Debbie was none the wiser to the something that transpired moments before, as she explained rules and questioned which room they wanted to play. While the middle-aged woman was talking, he had his hand rested on the small of Toni’s back and tried as she might she couldn’t focus on anything else but the heat of his palm. Luckily, another couple came in after them and they were able to play against the pair in the zombie apocalypse escape room. Before the game started Toni and Chris set up a bet for whoever solved the most clues even though they were on the same team. Toni ran her hand through her loose curls to put her hair up in a ponytail waiting for the countdown and noticed Chris’s outfit, “You don’t think you’ll get hot running around in your jacket?”

As per usual Chris was clad in all black but he had on a jean jacket over a black shirt this time rather than a regular button-up.  

“I’m straight,” Chris said nonchalantly. Before she could interrogate him further, Debbie’s voice came onto the intercom letting them know she was starting the countdown. Quickly, ten seconds turned to one, and the game began.

The couple walked out of the room breathless and delighted with how well the game turned out. They beat the newlyweds by a landslide with one minute to spare, and unfortunately to Chris’s exasperation, Toni solved most of the clues and now she had full reign over tonight.

“Congrats guys!” The clerk complimented as she handed them two free t-shirts for winning and even offered to snap a picture of them to put on their winner board. Chris declined grumbling about how he hated taking pictures but of course, when Toni gave him puppy dog eyes and reminded him she was the captain of tonight he grudgingly relented. Only on the grounds of them taking the photo on their personal phones and that Toni promised not to rag on him the rest of the date.  

Toni gave the woman her phone already opened to the camera app and they both took their place in front of the winner’s board. She didn’t know where to position herself, not wanting to be too much in Chris’s personal space if he wasn’t comfortable with it, but he made the decision for her when he put his arm on her shoulders and brought her in close, making Toni’s palms sweat. She quickly decided to wrap her arms around his waist praying he couldn’t feel her heart practically beat out her chest when she leaned against his side. They both looked at the camera with big smiles earning an “Awww you two are adorable!” from Debbie.

As Toni went to pull away, she brushed against something solid and what felt oddly like steel under his jacket. Stepping back Toni pondered over the fact that the object that she touched was most likely a gun and that was probably the reason why he didn’t want to take off his jacket before the game.

“Here you go hun,” Debbie said, passing Toni her phone.  

Toni graciously thanked her while she took the device and tried to school her features. She knew people had guns, even her father had some locked away at his house but something about him hiding it made her stomach roll.

They went out into the cool night and Toni walked next to Chris quietly still thinking, “So where to boss, since you running shit now.”  

A beat passed and she could see Chris in her peripheral take a look at her, wondering why she wasn’t responding.

“You good mama?” He inquired.

 She was acting like such a dumb ass, it wasn’t like he was her boyfriend he didn’t have to necessarily tell her why he had a gun and she was fine when he told her the monsters were afraid of him. So why did the gun affect her so much?

Toni looked over at him seeing his brows knitted in worry and decided to push the issue aside for a second. “Yep, but the real question is are you good after that ass whooping I gave you? Mr. I’m gonna win just watch.”

Chris groaned, “I thought you promised you wasn’t gonna flame me.”

“Obviously I lied, I just wanted you to stop whining and take the damn picture.”

“Nah, I just think you wanted a pic so you could look at it and fantasize about me all the time.”

Toni snickered and pushed him, “Please, don’t flatter yourself.”  

They were still talking when they finally reached her car. Toni leaned against her door, she could see his Range a couple of spaces from hers. “So what now Antonia?”

He asked while he stood in front of her, his hands in his pockets.

“Not sick of me yet?” Toni wondered, tilting her head.

“Never that darlin’.’”

Toni cleared her throat feeling her cheeks burn, damn him, he knew exactly what the hell he was doing. Not wanting to put it off any longer she made the choice to just ask him about the gun, not wanting to proceed with the night without being in the know.  “Can I...ugh this is probably so stupid but can I ask you a question first before we leave here?”

He straightened when he heard the way she stuttered like she was worried about questioning him, “Go ahead.”

Toni crossed her arms, “You can tell me it's none of my business and honestly it’s not that big of a deal but is there a reason why you didn’t want to tell me you were carrying a gun? I felt it while we were taking the picture.”

She was expecting him to get upset about her interrogation  but his posture went lax, seeming happy that that was what she wanted to ask.

“I didn’t say anything ‘cause I wasn’t sure if it was gonna freak you out. I use it for protection only and I should have told you instead of assuming.”  

Toni sighed and rubbed her forehead, “No, I apologize it just took me by surprise is all. I knew someone that carried and it always seemed like he used it more to showcase how much of a dick he was rather than use it as a safety precaution.”

“Hey,” Chris raised Toni’s chin, making her focus on him. “Don’t ever be scared to ask me somethin’.  Even if I don’t like the question, imma always try and give you as much of the truth that I can, aight?”

“Okay,” Toni said.

Im excited for summer, when I can finally go to the beach again! My skin can't take much more of this cold frigid air.

Ummm, let's see. I think doing something fun like going on a citywide scavenger hunt (I've done that before and it was super fun!) I would love to go to one of those piers with vendors and games and things and order from a stand then just walk along the pier and watch the water? Maybe go on a ferris wheel? I don't know, I never really thought much about it.

12. How are you?

Currently, I'm sick. I'm actually waiting for the doc to call me back. I'm trying to get some work done, but I just have no energy to really go do anything, especially anything physically rn. Hopefully I get better as the week goes on.

Tbh he really only did it bc his mom wanted him to do extracurricular activities and he really hates exercise and sports

so he auditioned for the piano bc u kno that’s his specialty

and the teacher was like “wOWOWOWOW YES WELCOME”

and like he was great, he was pretty lowkey about it tho like he went to practice and did his part he was p chill

but then like halfway through first semester of freshman year he kept noticing how the bass section had only like one bassist and he was like ?????

I mean the orchestra teacher is always down for more bassists but like if Yoongi becomes a bassist theN WHO S GONNA FILL IN FOR PIANO

but the music teacher accepts and Yoongi is like “I got u I’ll be good, u won’t regret it”

so Yoongi spends the next few weeks plus the whole of winter break learning how to play bass

he practices everyday so that he can be decent enough to play when school starts again

you take a deep breathe before entering the room and the teacher instantly notices you bc lol no one is there

and she asks if u here to audition for the piano section and u like um,,,,, yeah ,,,,,

so she tells u to sit down and play a few scales

and u ace those bc they’re super easy

and then she tells u to just play anything and ur like ,,,,,,wha t

but she just smiles at you warmly and says to not be nervous

but ur not nervous bc u can’t play anything

ur nervous bc u don’t exactly have an idea of what to play

but then you just end up pulling Clair de Lune out of ur bag from earlier and ur like well,,,,,,,here goes

when you finish and look over at the teacher you not only notice her mouth open with tears in her eyes but u also notice another figure in the room who is staring at you like you are the most magnificent human being in the world

and ur like “oh”

and then the music teacher is getting up and clapping for u and patting u on the back like “that was so beautiful, please join chamber orchestra you would be an amazing addition”

and honestly how can u say no to her when she’s looking at you with that puppy dog look on her face and tears in her eyes

and then u glance at Yoongi and he just lifts an eyebrow as if to say “so what’ll it be?”

and finally u just smile and look back at the teacher and nod your head and she squeals and hugs u and ur like o,,,kAY,,,,,,,

she tells u to come to practice next week and sends u on ur merry way along with some sheet music so u can look over your parts

Yoongi follows you out and he’s like “listen,,,,,thanks for doing this…I know it was last minute,,,,I really appreciate it”

u just kinda look at him and then smile

and Yoongi’s heart kinda stutters and he’s like wow,,,,,this person has a really nice smile and I can’t help but stare

so after a few weeks you’ve basically integrated into chamber orchestra pretty well

and you actually really enjoy it bc the people are so sweet and the music is fun to play and ur like !!!!! This is fun!! !!!!

also every time Yoongi sees u playing piano he’s like ,,,,,.woW why am i so attracted to them whAT IS haPPENIng tO ME

and he asks Seokjin and Seokjin and is like ,,,,,,,Yoongi, my child,,,,u like them

and Yoongi kinda has this mini crisis bc he’s never felt this way about anyone and he doesn’t know how to act and it really affects him

so he starts to avoid you and ur like ,,,,,did I dO something

bc the first couple of weeks he’d actually go out of his way to talk to u and it felt nice to have a friend

and u really enjoyed his presence like wow what a great human being

but u also really like Yoongi too, you’ve come to a conclusion with ur feeling,,,u really like this quiet but attentive bassist named Min Yoongi

and the fact that he starts to ignore u really hurts u and ur like ?!!!??????

so one day u plan to confront him bc ur never one to just let things like this go like u want to knOW WHAT U DID DAMMIT

so u ask Seokjin to help u and he’s like ,,,,“say no more I have the perfect plan”

but he doesn’t tell u what it is and ur like SeokJIN I NEED TO KNOW THE PLAN

but he’s like “nonono I have it all covered u just say what u have to say when it happens”

and so Seokjin plans this huge elaborate thing over with a few other friends and it takes place at the spring concert that is in a few days

and basically he plans to shove u two in the one of the instrument rooms and lock the door until u work out ur problems

it’s ur typical cliché plan but Seokjin lives by it and he’s like “I’ve tried it before it works wonDERS”

so the day of the spring concert arrives and Yoongi is still ignoring u and ur like Jin,,,,,plz tell me that the plan is going to happen soOn

and Jin just winks and tells u not to worry

which makes u woRRY mORE,,,, jIN and so at the concert Yoongi and Seokjin are hanging out like usual backstage

and you’re out front helping the orchestra parents sell refreshments and things for a fundraiser waiting for ur time to go up to play

when suddenly Taehyung comes running up to u with his band uniform half on and he looks all panicky and frantic and ur like !!!!!! “Tae what’s wrong!!!!!!”

and he’s like “someone was messing around with the piano and they broke a key!!!”

and u kinda expected it to be something more serious but still dumb so it takes u a while to comprehend

but then ur like ,,,,,there’s only one piano backstage and that’s the piano we use to perfORM SOMEONE BROKE THW PIANO WHAT THE HELL

so u two take off running and Taehyung leads u to the music room and ur like “oh no where is my baby I have to see my baby”

but all of a sudden someone shoves u into the instrument storage room and ur like !!!!  What the hELL

ur screamjng profanities at Tae bc whTa the heLL KIM TAEHYUNG

and then u hear someone behind u sigh and say “they’re not gonna open the door I already tried”

and u freeze up bc u know that voice

so u slowly turn around and Yoongi is just lounging on one of the random bean bags the room has

and ur like ????? “What are u doing here”

and he’s like “I could ask u the same thing"

but then something in ur head clicks and ur like oH, so thIs was Jin’s pLan

tbh ur kinda seething inside bc what the heck Seokjin but now that u have Yoongi here ur extremely grateful

so u sit down on one of the other bean bags and ur like “so what do we do now?”

Yoongi just shrugs and says “dunno, just wait it out until it’s our time to go and perform and they’ll have to come get us

ur like "but we don’t perform until the end of the concert!!! we’ll be in here for hours!!!”

and Yoongi doesn’t really know what to say to u so he just doesn’t say anything and u think hes like being v rude

so ur like “what’s your problem?????!!!”

and Yoongi is kinda startled bc he’s never heard u raise ur voice and he just looks at u

and ur like “first u practically beg me to audition for chamber and then decide to ignore me like I don’t exist what the hell is ur problem Min Yoongi!!?? Why do you hate me?!??”

Yoongi doesn’t know what to say bc he didn’t know him ignoring u would affect u so much

and he sees the tears in ur eyes threatening to fall and his heart starts beating frantically and he’s like oh no I made them crY

and so he’s like “you think I hate you,,,?”

and ur like “well what else would it be?!!!!???”

Yoongi scoots over to u and his heart is beating really fast and he grabs ur hand and intertwines ur fingers

and ur like ??????? ,,,,,he has nice hands,,,,,,,

“I don’t hate you,,,,in fact it’s far from that, I like u so much it hurts to be around u, I’ve never felt this way about anyone and it really scared me and I didn’t know what to do so my natural instinct was to ignore it and you”

his confession really surprises u bc u didn’t,,,,expect,,,,thaT,,,,

but then u hit his arm and ur like “why didn’t u just tell me?”

and he’s like “bc I knew u probably wouldn’t feel the same way”

and ur like “you big idiot of course I would like u, I won’t have joined orchestra if I didn’t”

but yoongi takes that as the ‘I like u but as a friend’

so he releases ur hand and he’s just kinda looks at the ground all deflated and stuff and he’s like “I see….”

but ur like wow this kid must really be slow

and so u softly say his name and when he looks up at you

you lean in until ur both touching foreheads and Yoongi is holding his breathe bc woW

and ur like “I mean I like like you, dummy”

and then u lean in to kiss his cheek but he moves to capture ur lips and it’s the nicest most softest kiSs evER

it really catches u off guard and ur like WOw

and then Yoongi starts to pull away bc he doesn’t feel u react but ur like 'nO IM NOT DONE’

so u link ur hands around his neck and pull him closer and he smiles into the kiss and u both are like “yEs”

when u break apart u just stare at each other with pure bliss on ur faces

and Yoongi has this slight blush on his cheeks and it makes u want to gush over him bc he’s the most amazing human being you have ever met soft yoongi is precious

and Yoongi’s breath is just taken away bc you are so beautiful and amazing and wonderful and he doesn’t know how to react aside from smile his gummy smile at u bc he is so incredibly happy rn

ok so Kim Seokjin is like a fucking prodigY

he’s that one kid who plays like every instrument in the string orchestra pluS does banD aNd choir

but his true love is orchestra ok he don’t joke around with his precious orch

also he’s super good too like wtf

everyone is lowkey jealous but highkey in love with him oK

anyways he started off playing violin freshman year

he was probably second chair too bc his audition was perFect

then sophomore year he switched to cello and then halfway through the year played bass bc (“Seokjin can you play bass this semester, I know you’ve never pla–” “ok”)(and he was one of the best fucking bass players the orchestra has had, next to Min Yoongi of course)

but then found his true love pLaying VioLA OMG

he’s the one kid that always has to start shit with the cellos about what instrument is the beSt (but the cellos are always like “dude wtf u played cello” and he’s always like “sO”)

is the viola first chair but sometimes leads the viola and violin sections in sectionals

gets really defensive when someone says violas are lame

gives them the stink eye and then ignores them and then that person feels v bad and apologizes bc (“yoU inSULTEd SeokJin oPPA hOw dArE–”)

he even has his own lil fan club within the music department

like all the girls in orchestra and choir and band all bonded over the fact that they all think Kim Seokjin is so beautIFUL

he knows about it but doesn’t really say anything and when someone (Yoongi) brings it up he’s like “whEn wiLl u evEr YoOngi”

ok let’s be real here he’s best friends with dearest Yoongi who plays the bass and piano

he’s like one of the only people who can actually talk to him and make yoongi laugh but also give him extreme secondhand embarrassment

like seokjin is always telling dad jokes and making stupid puns 1. Bc he thinks he’s hilarious and 2. Bc it makes Yoongi cringe so much he has to leave the room for a few seconds

nOw, you do both orchestra and tennis so sometimes u miss practices for both and it’s kinda hectic but u love it

you literally stop tuning ur viola and stare at him bc “you know my name?”

and he’s like baffled bc he taLks to evEryoNe whY doeSnt he talK to yOu

“what about that one time at the spring concert when we talked while tuning the kid’s instruments”

so after practice he finishes cleaning up and stacking chairs and stands bc hES A SAINT

and then he’s out the door highkey speed walking over to the tennis courts bC HE IS NOT LOSING HIS STREAK BUt also bc he really wants to see with his own eyes u playing on the tennis team

when he finds you on the courts ur like doing suicide runs bc someone on ur team insulted the coach and now y'all are in trouble

ur cursing said person out bc “dude wtf whY wOULD YOU—”

and Seokjin is just like staring bc wow he didn’t know you did tennis

and he just stands there staring like he’s seen the most amazing thing in the world

after u finish suicide runs one of your team members goes to get a drink of water and they’re like "are you looking for someone?”

and Seokjin is like “oh yeah I’m just waiting for y/n”

so ur teammate shouts back at you and their like “HEY Y/N YOUR BOYFRIEND IS HERE”

and u turn around bc ur like “ w haT”

and when u see Seokjin, he does like this lil wave and smiles at you with that gorgeous smile and gOD u want to meLt into the groUnd bc kIM SEOKjiN

everyone starts whistling and catcalling you two and ur just like “shUT UP”

but u just beam at him bc “Seokjin idk how u knew this was my favorite symphony piece ever but this is honestly the nicest thing anyone has ever done thank u so much”

so u guys get the tickets and walk inside and ur so excited ur basically skipping up the escalators

seokjin has never seen someone look so beautiful,,,,,,,wOw

Jin just keeps look at u bc he can’t get enough of u

from the moment the first player starts tuning and practicing before the actual concert starts u are so enthralled like holy moly

then the actual music starts and oh boy

there’s this look of pure bliss and love on ur face Seokjin can’t describe it but he loves it so much

bc he’s never found anyone who can really appreciate classical music on the same kind of level as him

there’s a certain part in the song that has u gripping Seokjin’s hand like ur life depends on it

he’s pretty sure he saw some tears in ur eyes at some point

whenever there is a viola solo you two hardcore freak out bc those are so raRE

and he’s just honestly so content sitting there and listening to beautiful music and looking at someone just as amazing

at some point u two just end up holding hands bc it feels nice and just comfortable

towards the middle of the concert u see a married couple sitting in front of you who is like falling asleep and u start giggling

and u nudge Seokjin to get his attention and he looks at u like ?????  even tho u look cute, why u giggling

and u subtly point at the couple and when he sees he stares for a while before he starts shaking bc he’s trying not to make any noise as he laughs

this makes u laugh more and soon u both are just a giggling mess and people are starting to throw u looks

at this point u both don’t care bc ur so gone and the guy’s head is lolling around and his wife is trying to both stay awake and wake up her husband and oh man

u hide ur face in Seokjin’s shoulder bc u just can’t and ur trying to calm down enough to pay attention to the concert and Jin just thinks it’s really cute and he’s like !!!!!!!!!!!!

also not to mention ur like ‘his bicep is so firm’

once the concert is over u wait for everyone to leave and u two just sit there bc wow that was so beautiful

u look over at Jin and ur like “thanks so much for this, you have no idea how much it means to me”
