there's so many posts now for new tumblr users abt how to make this dang webbed site a. a bearable social experience and b. usable on a technical level

and most of them are much more useful than this but my big one is:

turn off endless scrolling.

yes sure now there's that 'where you left off' button, but ime it doesn't show up every time, and do i trust this hellsite to put me back where i was? reliably?? after i accidentally refreshed a tab and went back 3 days worth of posts, leaving me to either scroll frantically back through it or give up on ever seeing the posts i missed, fucking again????

too many times. i refuse. turn off endless scrolling and improve ur damn life.

#especially useful if ur like me and not online all the time. i go days off this site sometimes.#i do not expect to ever catch up on EVERYTHING but it sure helps me catch up a little bit!#plus u can do multiple tabs at different points on ur dash. time travel.#twitter has never had this option and that's reason like. 256 i had trouble using it.#............anyway. settings > dashboard > there it issssss #shorten long posts & timestamps are also good to have on. but endless scrolling off. easy pease.#other posts have talked abt using tags lmao but here u see an example of talk too much in tags #a secondary rambling place? yes. parentheticals built in. thank u.
