“That lady at table seven is being a downright bitch,” I mumble to Kylie while putting a pile of dirty dishes in the sink.
“What has gotten into you today?” She questions.
“What do you mean?”
“You said that the man at table two’s rude behavior is a defense mechanism for his micropenis. You’re never this negative, Y/N, what’s going on?”
I take a deep breath, mentally debating whether I want to tell her or not. But the urge to tell someone how I’m feeling outweighs my desire for privacy.
“Okay, you can’t tell anyone,” I begin.
She leans in closer at the words, an inquisitive look on her face.
“Charles and I sort of kissed this weekend.”
She gasps and I pause, thinking. “Well, kissed twice.”
She gasps louder this time, causing a nearby chef to look at us. I smile at him and he smiles back, returning to his current task.
“Tell me everything,” she grabs my hands in excitement.
“The first kiss was at the girls’ birthday party when we were cleaning up and it was totally an accident. And then the second kiss was in the hotel room after putting the girls to bed, and that one was on purpose,” I explain.
“And then?” She grins.
“And then what?”
“Are you guys dating now?”
“Uh… no? Yes? I don’t know,” I admit.
“How do you not know?”
“We didn’t exactly get the chance to talk about it.” She gives me a look and I immediately go into defense mode. “Lucy woke up crying as we were kissing, so I comforted her while Charles took a shower and then when he was done I was already asleep!”
“What about in the morning?” She asks.
“He had to go to Italy immediately and we had to catch our flight home,” I share, “And he’s been so busy at work he hasn’t been able to text me and I don’t want to text him first because I have no clue what’s going on. Plus, he’s much better at this emotion stuff than I am.”
I run a hand through my hair and Kylie’s face drops at the obvious stress that I’m feeling.
“I’m sure that he’s just busy,” she tries to reassure me.
“I know, I just don’t want it to be like when we slept together after he came back into our lives and it turned into a big argument,” I sigh.
“I’m sorry, what?” Her eyes widen. “When did this happen? Why didn’t you tell me?”
I grin, realizing that I never told Kylie about that. Truthfully, I didn’t tell anyone because I was so embarrassed and confused of how it all went down.
“It happened a while ago. Forget that I said anything.”
“Um, after admitting that you slept with your daughters’ father again? I will not forget that.”
I roll my eyes, grabbing the tray of food that was just completed for my table before leaving the kitchen.
“Where are you going? I need to hear everything,” she calls after me.
~
“Thank you for staying late, Cheyenne,” I say to the young girl as I pull off my coat and hang it on the coat rack.
“Oh, it’s no problem, Y/N. By the way, this package came in the mail for you,” she points to the big cardboard box sitting on the kitchen table.
“Thank you. Have a nice night, text me when you get home.” She smiles, closing the door behind her and I lock it.
The scissors cut open the top of the cardboard box and I open the flaps, finding several items inside. I pull out a small, heart-shaped red box, opening it to find red roses neatly packed inside. A smile appears on my face as I set it off to the side, grabbing three, fuzzy red robes, my name, Ada’s name, and Lucy’s name embroidered on separate ones. Three chocolate bars are the next items to exit the box.
A small note is the last thing to come out of the box. I open it, immediately recognizing Charles’ handwriting.
Mon amour,
I’m sorry that we couldn’t talk about what happened before we both had to leave. I sent you some beautiful roses, chocolate, and robes so that you and the girls could pamper yourselves together. See you soon.
XO,
Charles
I clutch the note close to my chest, a smile pulling at my lips. He’s so sweet.
~
“Both Frozens?” Ada asks curiously as I load up the TV with the first Frozen movie.
I look at the clock, debating whether we have enough time tonight to watch both Frozen 1 and 2 and get the girls to bed at a decent enough hour where they won’t be cranky tomorrow.
“Let’s see what time it is when we’re done with the first movie,” I suggest. There’s the sound of the key in the front door and I look over, initially in worry then in excitement once I realize who it has to be.
It’s been a while since I’ve lived with another adult. I’m not used to having another person come and go whenever they want- but to be honest, I don’t really have to worry about that with Charles because he likes to spend as much time with the girls as possible and usually where they are, I am too.
“Why don’t you pick out your nail polish color, girls?” I say, pointing towards the box in front of them as I step closer to the front door.
The front door opens to reveal Charles, glasses on his face and a matching sweatsuit on his body. Once he looks up from his suitcase and closes the door, spotting me directly in front of him, his face breaks out into a smile.
“I didn’t know that you would be coming back so soon,” I admit to him, a smile of my own on my face.
“I couldn’t be away for a second longer.” He steps closer, leaving the suitcase behind and pulling me into an embrace. My arms raise up to press against his back as his hands slide down to my lower back, pushing against the plush fabric to press me as close to him as possible.
I step out of the hug, watching as he looks my figure up and down, swallowing at the sight of the red robe.
“What?” I ask, confused and nervous by his reaction.
I can’t tell if it’s a turned on swallow or a realization of a mistake swallow.
“Nothing. I just didn’t realize that these robes were going to be so short,” he confesses, eyes stuck on my legs.
I smile slyly at the comment, turning around and walking back towards the living room. “Come say hi to the girls.”
“Daddy, I’m painting my nails pink,” Ada shoves the nail polish bottle in his face after jumping all over him.
“I’m doing blue,” Lucy shoves her bottle in his face now.
“What? No Ferrari red?” He teases, grabbing their little hands and placing kisses on the back of them.
“Sorry, daddy.” Ada gives him an apologetic look while Lucy just shrugs.
He laughs at that, taking the bottles from their hands and shaking them.
“Can you put your hands on the table for me? I’ll paint your nails,” he says.
I sit back on the couch, watching the scene silently. Charles paints Ada’s nails with the pink polish, then Lucy’s with the blue. He goes back to do another coat, the three chatting quietly while half-heartedly watching Frozen.
I can’t believe I ever doubted that this man would be a good father. It makes me embarrassed that I ever thought that way. Seeing him now, his gentleness with the girls, and the ability to do things that they like with them, matching their excitement, shows me that he was a man that was made to be a father.
No, he was made to be a dad. And a damn good one at that.
“Oh no, mommy,” Lucy looks over at me with wide eyes, then expectantly looking back at the screen.
Frozen has ended.
“Second movie? Please?” Ada begs.
I’m a sucker for my girls when they pout, which they already know, but with Charles joining in it’s hard to deny them much of anything.
“Yes, we can watch Frozen 2,” I agree, grabbing the remote to turn it on. Secretly, I’m excited to watch it as well, and I already know that with the busy day they’ve had at daycare they’re going to fall asleep soon anyways.
“It gives me time to do mommy’s nails,” Charles smiles at me, which I return. I slide onto the floor, selecting a red nail polish bottle out of the box and passing it to Charles.
“Ferrari red, for you.”
By the time he’s done painting my nails, the girls are asleep on the couch, slumped against one another.
“Sorry that you didn’t win the championship,” I apologize quietly as Olaf breaks into a song.
“That’s okay. I have everything that I need already.”
I give him a questioning look.
“All that I need are my girls.”
I can’t hold myself responsible for my actions after that. That is one of the sweetest- if not, the sweetest- things that I’ve ever heard in my life.
I launch myself around the table at him, straddling his hips with my legs as my hands grip his cheeks, pulling his lips to mine. His hands immediately attach to my lower back.
It’s a kiss filled with passion and anticipation, both of us waiting for the other to make a move since he showed up here a couple of hours ago. Now with the girls asleep, we show each other just how much we were missing one another, and express words that were left unspoken from last weekend.
At the sound of shuffling on the couch, I pull back, whipping my head around to make sure that the girls didn’t wake up. They didn’t, just adjusting their position.
I turn back to Charles, resting my forehead against his. His hands run up and down my back.
“You’re so sweet,” I whisper to him.
“Anything for you, mon amour.”
~
Charles and I sit on the bench in the park, watching as the girls use their buckets and shovels to build snow sculptures.
“Lucy, don’t throw snow at her, please,” Charles calls out to the toddler.
“Okay, daddy,” she calls back. When she thinks that neither of us are looking, she throws a little bit of snow at Ada again.
I can’t help but chuckle and Charles shakes his head, a small smile slipping onto his face.
“She is so your daughter,” I comment.
“My daughter? Lando’s told me quite a few stories about you as a child,” he nudges my shoulder.
“Hey,” I giggle, “So are you and Lando okay now?”
“Yeah, I would say our relationship is almost back to normal.” I see him swallow out of the corner of my eye, looking at me nervously. “Actually, I know one thing that would probably get us back to normal.”
“What’s that?”
“So don’t kill me,” he starts, “But how would you feel going to visit your family for Christmas this year? We can rent a house, we can just go for a couple of hours, whatever you’re comfortable with. But Lando was telling me just how much your family regrets treating you the way that they have and how they really want to see the girls-””Stop,” I interrupt him. “You’ll be there?”
“Of course, I won’t leave your side,” he nods in agreement.
“You’d ditch Christmas with your mom and your brothers to be with my dysfunctional family?” I raise my eyebrows at him.
“Yes,” he responds instantly, “I’d do that for you, the girls, and Lando.”
“Fine. But if I want to leave, we have to leave as soon as we can,” I warn.
“I’ll go by your rules, mon amour.” He raises my hand connected to his up to his lips, placing a kiss on the back of it.
“Mommy, daddy, come play,” Lucy calls out.
Charles lets go of my hand, reaching down to pack the snow into a tight ball, throwing it lightly at Lucy. She squeals when it explodes on her.
“Snowball fight,” he announces, getting up to run over to the girls. I follow his lead, beaming at the squeals and laughter coming from my daughters as Charles and I play with them.
This is the moment that I’ve been dreaming about from the second that I found out that I was pregnant. Family time with just the four of us, playing together, laughing together, and just enjoying each other’s company. I’ve dreamed of just being able to spend time with all of us together, no tension or question marks getting in the way of our family bond.
And now I’m getting it.
~
Charles squeezes my hand as we stand on the front step of my parents’ house. My gaze remains focused on the white, wooden door, remembering all of the times I ran through it.
To the car of my boyfriend at the time. To the street to go on my daily jog. To the waiting arms of Lando, just returning from a race.
To never return.
“Anytime you want to leave,” he reassures me quietly.
I nod, taking a deep breath and knocking. There’s no going back now.
Flo opens the door, pausing with wide eyes when she sees me.
“Am I not invited?” I ask with a slightly joking tone.
“No, of course you are,” she stutters, taking a step to the side. “We just weren’t expecting you to knock. Please, come in.”
I take a step inside, my heart skipping a beat at her words. We just weren’t expecting you to knock.
“You remember Charles,” I awkwardly gesture towards the man standing next to me.
“Nice to see you again, Charles,” she pulls him into a hug, obviously distracted by the two toddlers standing behind his legs.
“And you remember our daughters, Ada and Lucy,” I introduce the two. I hold my hand out and Lucy steps out from behind her father’s legs, gripping my hand in her own. Shy little Ada remains behind Charles.
“Hi girls, I’m Aunty Flo. I haven’t seen you two in forever,” she coos. Lucy gives her a toothy smile while Ada sucks on her thumb.
It’s true. I haven’t been out to the house, and no one in the family besides Lando, has been out to visit me since the girls were three months old. That was over a year ago. Kids grow fast, but when they’re babies they seem to grow even faster. They went from newborns that you could cradle in your arms to toddlers that can run.
“Come on, everyone else is in the dining room.”
We follow her to the dining room.
“Now remember to just behave yourselves and be kind. It took a lot to convince her to come here, so don’t do anything to scare her off,” the familiar voice of my brother says before we enter the room.
At our entrance, everyone turns to look at us.
“Uh, hi,” I give an uncomfortable wave. Lucky for me, the girls break the tense atmosphere.
“Uncle Lando,” Lucy cheers, running towards one of her favorite people. At her sister’s words, Ada darts from behind Charles’ legs, joining Lucy in jumping on Lando.
“Present?” Ada asks with wide eyes. Lando’s trained them that everytime they see each other, they get a toy or a treat from him.
“Ada, don’t ask Uncle Lando for presents,” I scold.
“It’s okay, I got you girls these,” Lando grins, reaching past them to grab new stacking cups off of the table, handing a stack to each girl.
I roll my eyes. Typical Uncle Lando.
“They’re so big,” a familiar voice whispers. I turn to see my mom standing beside the dining room table, a shocked expression on her face as she watches the girls play.
“Hi darling,” another voice whispers in front of me. My dad pulls me into his arms, and it’s surprisingly not uncomfortable.
I thought since the last two or three years have been so full of tension and avoidance of one another, this would be a much more anxious and strained meeting. But I can’t help but melt into my dad’s arms. Maybe it’s from seeing the father-daughter relationship that Charles has with Ada and Lucy that makes me want to better my relationship with my own father.
I can’t forget everything that he’s said to me. But I can forgive and hope for improvement.
“Hi, Charles.” My dad pulls Charles into a hug next. The driver seems taken aback, but accepts the embrace.
My mom pulls me into a wordless hug. It’s not as comfortable as the one with my dad, I can still hear her shouting ‘whore’ at me in the back of my mind, but I still wrap my arms around her. I greet my siblings before taking a seat next to Lando, Charles sitting in the chair next to me.
“Hi Ada, hi Lucy,” my mom greets my daughters, reaching out to brush her finger along Lucy’s arm. Lucy doesn't react. “I’m your nana.”
Charles and I exchange glances at her word choice. We didn’t discuss how we want Ada and Lucy to refer to my family going into this, but we both know that we aren’t comfortable with my parents being referred to as nana and grandpa after the way they treated me and the girls when they were infants.
“Let’s just stick to Cisca for now, mom,” I state firmly.
She opens her mouth, about to respond, before Oliver nudges her. He nods towards Ada and Lucy, as if to remind her that this is about improving the relationship with her and her granddaughters and her and me. And that starts with respecting my boundaries.
“Okay.”
~
“Thank you for having us over,” I tell my mom as we stand in the front entrance.
“Oh, anytime. It was great to see you two and the girls again,” she smiles between me and Charles. “I’ll go check on the girls, Cisca and Oliver will help bring them down.”
Charles and I wait for our daughters to be brought down from their naps, tired out from playing with their family members and new presents. I zip up my winter coat in the meantime and Charles finishes pulling on his shoes.
“Hey look, mistletoe,” he points up at the plant.
I giggle, leaning in to give him a peck on his lips.
“Come on, you have to give me more than that.”
A loud laugh escapes me, and I lean forward to give him a much more passionate, longer kiss.
“You know what would be the only thing that would make this Christmas better?” He murmurs against my lips.
“What?”
“If you became my girlfriend.”
“I’d love to be your girlfriend, Charles.”
Story completed.

Joltiks delivering chocolate to Emmet: The Sequel. Now with a much shorter wait time because S/O sent the Joltiks to the younger twin while everyone is at home. They learned their lesson from last year and will not send the tiny spiders out for three days and nights this time around, brave and willing their arachnid children may be. (They will still get fed lots of batteries because cute babies)
cw: fluff, valentine's day fic,
pairing: Emmet/Reader
You sighed at the cute packaging of the chocolate. Some speciality store in Castelia had caught your eye with their cute, stylised offerings that set them apart from the generic boxes around the stores you had popped in. Notably, the cute image of a Joltik in a little red chequered apron with a chef hat was hard to say no to. The chocolates inside were themed around the little spiders, too. Even if the packaging was not as cute and distinct as it were, you knew the sugar glutton that Emmet would never dare reject such nice chocolates. The few you had sampled in the store proved that these were more than worth their off-putting price tag.
Plus, you had managed out a better plan this year than the catastrophe of the previous one. There shall not be poor Joltiks creeping desperately towards the station in search of their Subway Boss. No, this time you were sending them on their perilous quest to the other side of the apartment. You had bought little matching outfits to the mascot on the chocolate box as well. The group of Joltiks looked almost too cute to just send off, yet you must.
Giving the small, brave group their package, you sent them off from the bedroom to the living room, where Emmet was currently wrestling around with his Eelektross. The cluster of spiders crept away steadily with the delivery, both determined and quiet. You sat down on the bed and looked at the napping Galvantula with a sigh. She would not wear her costume, sadly.
Moments passed with little change. Silence besides the occasional Eelektross cry and chuckle from Emmet. You waited impatiently, foot tapping on the hardwood nervously.
Then, a gasp. No more wrestling. A coo from Emmet. You peered out from the bedroom.
Emmet knelt down before your brave delivery men, staring at their little costumes and offerings with bright eyes. He took the chocolate box away from them tentatively and cooed even more. The chocolate was put aside, much to your surprise, as he picked up the group to ogle at them. Their little costumes were simply too cute to him. Oh, how he had wished to think to dress them up more. A few kisses were laid upon the little sweeties' heads before he returned to the chocolate.
He opened the lid to find your card inside alongside the sweets. It was open and read over silently. His smile grew ever wider at the tender words you had written inside, expressing your joy about having been in this relationship for so long with him. Just as you expected him to finally go in for the chocolate, his eyes glanced at the door you were peeking out.
“Hi, darling,” he cooed out and crept closer, “Thank you verrrrry much for the gift! I hope you like yours, too.” Emmet opened the door and suddenly pulled you into a tight hug. He even dared spin you around before pressing a soft kiss upon your lips. “I am sad it will not be as cute as yours,” he sighed and nuzzled his nose against your own.
You could only wonder what he got for you in eager anticipation.
~
To your surprise, he had been deeply unsure as to what to get you. He had asked Elesa but felt unsure of her answer. Emmet was not one to give in, of course. He desperately searched all over for anything that he thought could make you happy.
You gasped at the gift. It was unexpectedly something that you had mentioned a few times in passing to him. Wrapping your arms around him, you, too, pulled him in for a tight hug and peppered his face with kisses. Your Emmy proved himself as the strangely attentive man he was once again. He felt giddy that he had impressed you and took on a smug expression.
Valentine's Day this year truly was a success.

Have you seen Alfred in the Gotham By Gaslight movie? That mustache + sideburns combo.... *chef's kiss* Plus those dark eyes (well it's more that they just didn't bother coloring them because he's not a "main" character but I'll interpret them as dark), glasses, nose (I LOVE ME SOME BIG DISTINCTIVE NOSES), and the VOICE!!!! Man is just a complete package.
BESTIE I just watched a little clip of the movie where Bruce is reading The Ripper’s letters and Alfred comes in and you weren’t fucking kidding I love his look so much! His hair! The glasses! His nose deserves a kiss! And so does that jawline. He’s so handsome and that goddamn mustache…gonna break my heart, he’s so very silverfox™️ 😍
Like look at him!! I’m so into it!

So I made a TWST major characters tier list...
Premise: Ranking this based on how I personally like them and how much enjoyment I have writing them. So, this is heavily biased.
Short Answer:
My Beloved (platonically): Tier reserved especially for my most favorite boy in the whole canon and I will write for him.
You earn a special place: Really like them and would write for them, but not as much as My Beloved (platonically).
Juicy Writing Material Headcanon Edition: Mostly neutral but I have personal headcanon for them.
Actual Normal Amount: Don't really have much opinion about them.
Me against what TV told me: Fandom ruins them for me but I have personal enjoyment from personal headcanon.
It's like looking at the mirror and I don't like it: Nuff said.
Born in Superhell: Fandom ruins them for me and I will avoid them mostly.
Long Answer:
My Beloved (platonically):
Riddle
Riddle is my first boy and my favorite boy. Look at my son! Starting from his design: I love them. I have a soft spot for princely/young master-ish characters, thus Riddle has it. He looks tiny and I want to squish him. His personality is also something I like: jerk with a heart of gold. His method is not the best, but he always has the best interest. And we actually see his character development at the end of Episode 1, so that's a huge plus. His situation with his mother kinda reminds me of my personal relationship with my mom back then, but we changed, so I can hope Riddle and Mama Rosehearts' relationship can be better.
And I love writing him, whether for ordinary fic or OPTU. He's just so much fun to write, like, he's trying his best guys. Riddle/Jonah is my original pairing and even if they don't end up together, they still are good friends. ROnah is my comfort ship. He's also one of the most well-built characters in my fic: has a backstory, extended family and relationship, and after story that hadn't changed for the longest time. And writing him from the start of the fic until today, I can see the growth in him from the harsh prefect to a more caring boy. I just like him very much.
You earn a special place:
Ace, Deuce & Grim:
I'm putting this together because you can't talk about one without mentioning the others. They are a package. They're sharing brain cells though Ace usually has the most custody over them. They've been with us since the beginning and it's hard to imagine TWST without the three of them.
Between the three of them, I really like Deuce the most. I just love to see someone trying to redeem himself. His Wish Upon a Star Personal Story? *chef kiss* I adore it. The screen time he gets in Episode 5 caught me by the throat and made me love him even more. He's such a good boy.
Grim comes second because he's in the same situation as Crowley and not everyone like him. Yes, he is annoying but I see him as a little brother. And really I can see the slow but sure character development in him. Like, compare him in Episode Prologue and Episode 4. And honestly, he's more of a main character in that game!Yuu (game) ever was.
Ace comes in last because honestly, I don't have much to say about him. Like, he's cheeky and is a piece of shit, but he's kinda close off as well. There are a lot of things that we don't know about him, including his unique magic, which kinda makes him kinda an abstract. But he is entertaining.
In OPTU, I really enjoy writing the three of them. I do have a backstory for Grim and extended family for Ace and Deuce, but none of them has an After Story just yet. Ace/Deuce in particular is a pairing that I really enjoy writing. It's just blooming feelings and subtle gestures. If I have to pick one pairing that will come true in the fic, it'll be ADeuce.
Azul:
Azul is a piece of shit and I love him for that. I just really love bitch characters who are in for the lols. And he's just entertaining honestly.
And hoo boy, OPTU was a ride. I'll never forget the time I'm adapting Episode 3. I wasn't expecting to get attached to Jonah and Azul's relationship, but here we are. Seeing people shipping them makes me like shipping them. They have the most potential for romance seeing that Azul is also the first one to narrate his feeling in recent chapters. So, if Jonah is going to have a romantic relationship first, it'll be with Azul.
Sebek
Sebek only appears a few times and is not really popular. So, of course, I'm gravitating toward him. I love underrated characters and Sebek honestly is entertaining. His loud voice is very funny and yet he's very dedicated to his role as Malleus' guard. He's just a little dork, like a puppy. And of course I enjoy writing him despite I haven’t done it much. He brings me joy.
Crowley:
I think I'm in the minority who likes Crowley. He's silly and sus at the same time and I love that about him.
OPTU-wise, you know I love Birddad. Crowley and Jonah having a Tony Start-Peter Parker father-son relationship is something I would die for. It's also funny when everyone is surprised that I write Crowley in such a dad way. I also have a long backstory for him, which involves the fate of the universe, but that's a story for another time because it's not well-built just yet.
Juicy Writing Material Headcanon Edition:
Cater & Trey:
Lumping them together as well because I wish I can see more of them.
While I don't write Cater that much, I still find enjoyment in him. I love the Caterella and Former Dorm Leader headcanon and kinda implemented it. I also love that there's a hint of something melancholic about him and I really want to read more of him.
Trey earns a big point for being the big brother and I just really love that archetype. Other than expanding this Family Relationship and his Backstory, I don't really have much. But I do love his relationship with Riddle.
Kalim:
Kalim is an interesting character but he's not enough to go up a tier. I do love his development between Episode 4 and 5 (one of the few on-screen developments and I appreciate it). I honestly really want to know more about him.
Of course, I can't talk about OPTU Kalim without mentioning his own arc. Man, it was a ride to write his arc. It was also the first time I ever write what is technically a breakup story. And he actually makes me reconsider Kalim/Jamil end game. While I still ship them, in some context, I can't make them endgame at least for now.
Vil:
A similar situation with Sebek: I'm gravitating to someone who isn't a top pick in the community. I really admire Vil and his hardworking attitude, especially in Episode 5 despite the uneven screen time he gets. I don't really like how fandom treats him, especially bringing up that one time he slaps Epel. But really, the twerp started it.
Of course, in OPTU I kinda expand it. While I have to say goodbye to my Bastard Prince Vil headcanon, I still have a soft spot for Future Headmaster Vil. It's always fun to see the reaction of Vil's 'Uncle Dire' for the first time.
Actual Normal Amount:
I don't really have much to say about the characters in this tier mostly because I'm not that invested in them, so this will be a quick summary.
Ruggie doesn't really give me the strongest impression. I do like his Aladdin vibes and I do have some headcanon for his family, at least before the reveal in his birthday card.
Jack is a good boy. A wolf boy so I get a bit of the appeal, but not enough to make me interested in him and I also haven't read Port Fest Event so that can change.
Jamil is fine. I understand his struggles, but that doesn't mean I have to love him.
Epel is a twat and has a bit of toxic masculinity, but I kinda like his Lab Coat story. Don't like his Ceremonial Robe. And he has too much screen time in Episode 5. Other than that he's fine.
Rook is fine. He's in such a mood in Episode 5. The harassment toward Yana and his Voice Actor is really unnecessary though.
Ortho is cute and can be funny. But it's really hard to separate him from his brother.
Lilia and Silver are a package, can't talk to one without the other. I like the father-son relationship.
I have nothing to say about the teacher, but I like Trein the most for his grandpa vibes. Vargas is entertaining. Sam and Crewel doesn’t leave the biggest impression, but I’m in the minority who doesn’t really like being called ‘good boy’ by Crewel
Me against what TV told me:
Leona:
Starting this by saying that the more I write Leona, the more I like him, at least in OPTU. He is an asshole and I will never forgive the half-episode flashback, but I can see his potential. He's not the entertaining version of an asshole like Riddle or Vil, he's just unlikable to me for the longest time. He's actually the first character that I actually gave an After Story, along with expanding his relationship with Farena. His Chrismas Arc section is in my top favorite chapter to write.
But, if I like Sebek and Vil because most don't prefer them, the opposite can be said of Leona and many below him. He's a popular character and the more people ship/simp/thirst on him, I tend to scoot away from them.
And I just don't like 'herbivore (affectionate)'. Leona's nickname to the player is not a cute nickname, but many treat it as a cute nickname. Leona apologize to Ruggie when?
Jade & Floyd:
Lumping them together because they kinda have a problem. Shady eels can be interesting, but I don't like how the fandom treats them. Uwu Jade and Floyd are the bane of my existence. Floyd's nickname is derogatory, not affectionate. Floyd's squeezing is a threat, not a teasing hug. Jade and Floyd can kill you and they won't be sorry. But their trio with Azul is peak comedy. They really shine in Episode 4, however, that is not enough to make me love the twins. And I don't really write about them, so other than the Leech Famiglia headcanon, I don't have anything for them.
It's like looking at the mirror and I don't like it:
Idia:
I'm in a dilemma with Idia. I can understand his past, I understand his struggle, and I can vibe with his attitude. He's just like me, and I'm just like him. And I hate it, just like how I hate myself. Which is funny. Usually, when you have a character that reminds you of yourself, you'll like them. But I just don't like Idia. This doesn't help that he rarely appears in the main story and suddenly he's a boss. He's pathetic, I'm pathetic, and I don't like it.
Born in Superhell:
Malleus:
Okay. Listen. This is a very controversial opinion, I know.
Malleus, on his own, I will put in Actual Normal Amount, maybe even Juicy Writing Material Headcanon Edition. He's a prince and royalty drama is my favorite trope. He's lonely, so I can explore more of his loneliness. His bond with the Diasomnia gang might be an interesting subject to see.
But! Like Leona: the more popular character becomes, the more I will avoid them. And because Malleus is the poster boy, it's only a matter of time before I get annoyed with seeing him on my dashboard.
But for some reason, unlike Leona, my dislike on Malleus got worse. And we're not even talking about the mess that is Endless Halloween Event. I'm mostly talking about the fandom. Malleus for me is the biggest victim in fandom treatment. TWST is not an otome game yet we're treating it like an otome game, and the dialogues that were often chosen are Malleus' dialogue. Especially after the Glorious Masquerade event. This extended to Malleyuu. Every interaction between Malleus and Yuu is often treated as romantic. And as someone who is figuring out her romantic orientation (but is probably around the aro spectrum), this is tiring. Yes, I know you ship them, but you don’t have to spell it in front of my face.
Another part is because of some toxic fans. It feels like not liking Malleus is a sin. I remember one of my friend getting hate messages from anon because they said they don't like Malleus. I swear if I get hate messages or anon pushing me that I don't understand Malleus enough, you'll just prove my point.
And because of this, I don't enjoy writing Malleus. I can try, mostly exploring anything outside a romantic relationship, but there's this desire to make Malleus a bastard out of spite.

snippet from upcoming narusasu streamer! au coming soon
check me out on AO3 under EARTHTOHALCYON <3
...Because the Sasuke Uchiha of now is not Japan’s brightest astronaut, or a chef with pearly white cooking robes, or a race car driver, or a lawyer, or a scientist, or a hacker — currently, Sasuke is staring at an empty stove-top pan with an iron grip fastened to the edges of his kitchen counter, trying not to (respectfully) tear all of his hair out and gouge his eyeballs on a fine Tuesday night while his best friend explains to him that his final reward tier for his first charity stream should be him making out with a cutout of a character from a video game because it is, in his words, ‘hot as hell, plus funny’.
“Suigetsu,” Sasuke seethes, channeling the patience of a lawyer version of Sasuke, or maybe a hacker version of Sasuke for this extenuating circumstance. “I am not. Not. Going to order a cardboard cut out of Mei from Overwatch and kiss it on my first charity stream.”
“I’ll get it for y –”
“I’ll get a restraining order for you if any weird packages show up at my apartment in the next week.”
Suigetsu makes a noise of fake hurt. “Christ, Sas, a week? Rich people are fuckin’ different, man, you think a life size cutout could ship out in a week?” “Life size cutout — you’re fucking insufferable.”

Part II, Day 98
The joy of encountering top-notch writing when you least expect it: 🟣 ON A PACKET OF SEEDS 🟣
It’s that time of year: seed packets and bags of compost. The black dirt of our raised garden beds awaits, wondering what it gets to produce this year.
One of my wife’s colleagues pointed out a packet of seeds at a garden shop.
“I grow these every year; you should try them,” her colleague said. “The beans are really easy to find when they’re ready, because they’re purple.”
A selling point for beans that I hadn’t considered: findability.
Seems like something worth touting, as the beans we’ve grown in the past were always green and elusive, blending in with stem and leaf.
She bought a packet and put them on the kitchen island when she got home. The sliding glass doors off of our kitchen lead to the backyard and the garden. The kitchen island ends up being more of a catch-all in the spring, with seed packets, flower shears, garden twine, and whatever else the garden needs.
The kitchen is where we congregate; I saw the packet there. As a content designer, I’m always reading packaging, and almost always offering feedback to the product and packaging design team that is definitely not in the kitchen with us. Some of it is good, some of it is…less so.
This seed packet, though. *Chef’s kiss*
You can see it in the image, but let’s talk about it.
The brand name tops the hierarchy and the package, which makes sense.
Next is the organic designation and logo, placed prominently for gardeners looking to keep their gardens organic—an easy box to tick.
Next: Heirloom Bush Bean. That’s what it is. “Heirloom” threw me off, because I learned that this variety was developed at the University of New Hampshire in 1957. Doesn’t seem very heirloom-y, so I Googled. Turns out that the common usage of “heirloom” describes seeds cultivated for 50 years or more, rather than their specific lineage. I’m learning so much tonight.
Next: Royalty Purple Pod. Just lovely. Purple and velvet does make me think of royalty.
But the best part is the single sentence at the bottom of the package:
🟣 Handsome and tasty purple pods are easy to find on strong, heavy-bearing plants. 🟣
Just, WOW. Yes.
THIS is the kind of language I want to see in the world. Clear, concise, and compelling. They’ve packed so many beans into that pod of a sentence and I love it. What did we learn in that sentence:
🟣 The beans are handsome, which is a nice plus in the garden
🟣 The beans are tasty, the main reason we’re growing them
🟣 The beans are purple, a fun novelty to point out to friends
🟣 The beans are easy to find, thanks for that
🟣 The beans are on strong plants, to weather the storms of summer
🟣 The beans are on heavy-bearing plants, a bounteous promise
Well done, folks!

COOKING UPDATE ✨️
chat we weren't as fucked as we thought we would be 🤩
the potatoes: in the oven rn, ended up using Avocado Oil and then the Kickin' Chicken seasoning from Sam's Club, and some other dried herbs I had; plus salt & pepper bc I did not want them to be under seasoned (5lbs of potatoes are a lot) and then added a whole pack of bacon chopped on top, I'll be adding a bit of shredded cheese on top towards the end
the ham: followed my mom's recipe (my sibling bought one that was already fully cooked and honey roasted instead of the bone in one from last year that required me to season it myself) so for that it's just coating it in mustard, and covering it with pineapple slices with some cloves inserted to hold them; this is all to form a nice glaze, and then just following the instructions for oven cooking on the package it came in :)
the pie: just ended up buying two from the store, a pumpkin one, and a sweet potato one (reheated in the oven; ate a slice of both already, someone stop me from eating them entirely pls) oh and I recommend the non-dairy coconut milk reddi-whip as a topping 🙂↕️🥧
*chef kiss* perfecto
chat I've been asked to cook again for thanksgiving and well it wouldn't be a problem if not for me not being able to remember how tf I seasoned the ham & roasted potatoes last year omfg 😭😭😭😭😭
like I know i got the recipes from somewhere but then the thing is i just add and remove stuff from them to my liking so yeah chat am i cooked?
on a related note, they got me an apron & chef hat so at least I'll look the part of a chaotic chef
(and then also have to bake a pie bc then no one else brings pie,,, now for that i know the recipe is saved somewhere)

i was on youtube and came across the clip of hunter’s ‘research notes on flapjack’ and remembered that he comments that when he asked eber darius and raine about flapjacks, he says eberwolf hissed/growled at him ‘as per usual,’ then that darius ignored him, ‘again, as per usual,’ and i’m thinking about how like. if darius came across it post dou it might be the thing that pushes him over the line of not addressing his emotions.
Yeah, how Darius and Eberwolf treated Hunter pre ASiAS are not their shining moments, for sure. I don't think they were ever actively mean to Hunter before Darius lashed out at the beginning of ASiAS, but still. There are several explanations for their behavior: Hunter is too loyal so they can't trust him, Hunter doesn't think for himself, he might ruin everything if he finds out, they don't want to fight this teenager if he gets in their way so they need to keep their distance. Maybe they are frustrated because they don't know how to save this kid from himself when he's so loyal. Maybe they both knew Hunter's predecessor and resented this kid being in the Golden Guard spot. Who knows, really.
Either way, it doesn't excuse their behavior. It's only an explanation. (And, really, Raine knew something was up and looked the other way. Eda was there when Amity restrained Hunter and let it happen. Hunter has beefed with everyone in his current found family at this point, but Darius and Eberwolf aren't the only ones who treated Hunter differently for that devotion to Belos, that's for sure)
Darius probably told Eberwolf everything that happened at the end ASiAS and that probably caused Eberwolf to soften towards Hunter, as well.
The moment Darius saw signs that Hunter can think for himself, he instantly softened towards Hunter, so I think Eberwolf would too.
It's heavily implied Darius and Hunter spent time together post-ASiAS with the sowing, at least. So Eberwolf was probably there at times as well.
Then, Hollow Mind, it's aftermath, and the incident at Hexside changes EVERYTHING.
I don't think Hexside reached out to The CATTs, I think The CATTs reached out to Hexside when they heard about happened.
Oh, how the tides turned.
Whatever time these three spent together after Darius and Hunter worked things out probably deepened their bond immensely. Again, since Eberwolf and Darius are kind of a package deal, Eberwolf was probably there at times too.
Eberwolf was probably in on the plan to keep Hunter away from the Titan's head, since Raine's students knew about it.
This is why I love the dynamic canon is building slowly but surely between Darius and Hunter. The idea of those two plus Eberwolf getting to see each other for who they are really are, and gradually becoming found family because of it? Letting go of the ideals the Emperor's coven taught them, and realizing how well they click? Chef's kiss.
But, I can totally see Darius and Eberwolf finding that journal one day after Hunter vanishes and they can't find him. And just breaking down because how could they have ever treated him that way? They are not the same people as the ones he described in his research notes, but it is something they did. If they haven't apologized to Hunter yet, then they will.
Which is why I hope we get to see Darius's reaction to the Grimwalker reveal, at least. (Well, if he doesn't already know, I think it is a 50-50 possibility at least). But, I think their reactions to it, when they first find out, are going to be: Horror. Disgust. RAGE. Kill mode towards Belos, activated.
So, yeah, this is just me, reading between the lines of what we have been told/seen, and also kinda adding some of my headcanons too it.
(Disclaimer, please don't come onto this post and start discussing how Eberwolf and Darius are horrible, or anything, that's not what I am here for. Thanks!)

Hello....Can I ask your top 10 favorite anime (can be series or movies) that you've finished? And why do you love them? Thanks if you want to answer....
Sure, I'll just grab the top of my MyAnimeLi-- actually, hmm, can I trust past me's ratings? Does current me remember how past me was scoring these?
WE’LL DO IT LIVE! In no particular order, and under the cut to avoid blasting yinz with a wall-o-text:
Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Okay, so I fully get people who don't want to slog through this because it can be painfully slow and dry, but that's what drew me to it. In terms of world-building and showing your work, this is one of the best sci-fi political dramas you'll find in any medium. It's also great if you pay attention US current events and want to be even MORE worried about the decline of the republic.
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: A wild ride from start to finish, with an amazing cast and well-written escalation as evil plots materialize. Great balance of action, drama, and comedy. I'm struggling to think of another show that lasted four or more cours where I didn't, at any point, think, "Huh, it's really dragging lately." Fond memories of watching this in anime club, too.
Patlabor 2: The Movie: All of Patlabor is pretty great, and you can jump between the TV series and the OVAs/movies depending on what kind of tone you want in your giant robot police procedural. The second movie is a gripping political thriller that asks some very big and scary questions about the nature of peace and power; as with LoGH, it’s one of those that maybe you wanna hold off on if current events are stressful.
Macross Plus: It distills all of the Macross essentials into a tidy two-hour package with high-quality animation, lovely Yoko Kanno soundtrack, and one of the most gorgeous mechs ever to grace the screen, the YF-19. Virtual idol Sharon Apple gets bonus points for the effort made to make her music not sound contemporary. Also makes it painfully clear how much Japan loves Top Gun for whatever reason.
Chihayafuru: Completed in that I’ve watched what’s been adapted. This is somehow an honest-to-goodness sports anime which effectively hits all the tropes, surrounds the MCs (who are huge dorks themselves) with a quirky ensemble cast, and has introduced audiences to an incredibly Japanese cultural curiosity, competitive Hyakunin Isshu karuta. Shout-out to the Kitakyushu Manga Museum for finally giving me the opportunity to buy a plush Snowmaru.
Mobile Suit Gundam: I’m always going to have a soft spot for Wing; it was my first and I’ve yet to run into a Wing mech that I don’t instinctively like. But in terms of world and characters, the OG is where it’s at. Massive appreciation for the depth of the story being told in what was supposed to just be a toy commercial for Mr. Bandai in 19-freakin-79. Amuro and Char have grown to be larger-than-life and there’s just something comforting about seeing and hearing them whenever something new pops up. (Yes, even the damn McDonald’s commercial that Ikeda Shuuichi was paid real money to do.)
Psycho-Pass: Continuing with the theme of “here are some uncomfortable truths about modern society and we’re not being subtle,” we have Akane, the mythical good cop in a sea of actual violent criminals. Watching her slowly learn how the world works, hate it, deal with it, and then face it on her own terms -- chef’s kiss. Side note, shout-out to the time @lindoreda and I went to see the stage play, and I was one of the few dudes there, and we could feel the room collectively inhale when Kubota Yuki took his shirt off.
Flag: Flag is told from the perspective of a photojournalist embedded within a UN task force carrying out peacekeeping operations in generic central Asian country. And when I say “from her perspective,” I mean that literally, as almost the entire show is seen through her camera lens with occasional side-views from another journalist’s POV or onboard camera footage during missions. It’s a unique and painfully contemporary (although it’s, what, over 15 now?) mecha that I need to rewatch sometime.
Haikyuu!!: I’m giving Haikyuu a nod over some other excellent contenders (Kuroko and Daiya come immediately to mind) because it has all the elements I expect -- lovable cast, action-packed matches, special attacks that straddle the line of unbelievability -- plus a selfish intangible. I can cosplay Asahi without a wig and a quick shave, because manbun has been my default for years. It’s nice having a show I like where I can just take one look at a dude and be like, yup, I can wear that to cons until I start turning gray.
Shinkalion: I WOULD BE REMISS NOT TO MENTION THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT TRANSFORMING-BULLET-TRAIN FRANCHISE OF MY LIFETIME, WHICH IS A TOY COMMERCIAL HIDDEN WITHIN THE STORY OF A BUNCH OF KIDS CONFRONTING BIG PROBLEMS AND FINDING SOLUTIONS THAT MAKE ALL THE ADULTS IN THE ROOM THINK, YEAH, WE CAN TRUST THEM WITH THE FUTURE AND THE FUTURE IS NOW.

so @sorryiwasdrunk1 recently saw their first opera (Ariadne auf Naxos) live in HD from the Met and asked me for more recommendations. ergo, here are some operas that I think would be great:
first up, not because it’s the greatest opera for a beginner but (partly) because it’s next on the Met HD series (March 26 at 11:55 AM EST!) is Verdi’s Don Carlos. it’s a looooooooooooong work (about 3.5 hours not counting intermissions) but I promise that it will be so worth it: the cast is great, the production looks cool, the music and story are *chef’s kiss*, there’s personal drama, political drama, and pretty much everyone in this opera is queer (trust me, it’s true, just look in the subtext, and also not subtext).
(Honestly, I may be biased because Verdi is my favorite opera composer, but just about any Verdi opera is a good one to check out. For first-timers, I’d recommend Nabucco, Rigoletto, or La traviata, although sadly none of them have as strong Queer Vibes TM as Don Carlos. But they all have music you will likely recognize, great stories, and great characters, and plus there are plenty of great performances of each on the Internet, which cannot be said for all Verdi operas, sadly.)
Some other general good-for-first-timers:
Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia and Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro: A package deal here: even though the Mozart was written first, the Rossini opera takes place first. They share characters, they’re both iconic, and many of the characters give off Heavy Bi Vibes. Both among the best operatic comedies ever written.
For Mozart: Don Giovanni is also really great. Die Zauberflöte has great tunes but the plot is…something.
You cannot go wrong with just about any Rossini comedy: La cenerentola is a witty take on the Cinderella story, Il viaggio a Reims is both utterly brilliant and utterly stupid, Le Comte Ory is one of the most delightful things you will ever see. Guillaume Tell is more serious and also LONG but the music is iconic and the whole thing is just so good.
Speaking of Cinderella, Jules Massenet’s Cendrillon is “you didn’t think Cinderella could be GAY, could you? well you’re wrong” because the Prince is sung by a woman. Go check out the Met 2018 production, which is absolute magic.
(Massenet in general was very good at writing a) marvelous roles for women and b) gay. His opera Chérubin—quite an obscure piece—was a sequel to Le nozze di Figaro.)
Bizet’s Carmen is iconic. That is all.
Puccini is great for first-timers, but you have to choose carefully: La bohème is a sweet sentimental tragedy, Tosca is a thriller (more women shanking their would-be r*pists please), Il trittico is 3 one-act operas (a violent gritty thriller, a mystical tearjerker about redemption, and one of the funniest comedies in all opera) put together. It is a TREAT. The other Puccini ones are best saved for later IMO.
Speaking of which, do not slack on the one-act operas of any kind. They are amazing. Also the operettas: Johann Strauss (not the one who composed Ariadne auf Naxos), Lehar, Offenbach, and Gilbert and Sullivan are all great choices.
Since you seemed to really like Ariadne auf Naxos, Richard Strauss seems to be a good direction to go into: you’d probably like Der Rosenkavalier, which is long and has some highly problematic elements (a woman in her early 30s is having an affair with a 17-year-old, although she eventually gives him up), but the romance between the two younger people (Octavian and Sophie) is so adorable. Also it’s supposed to be broadcast Live in HD next April with Lise Davidsen and Isabel Leonard (Ariadne and the Composer from this HD) as the Marschallin and Octavian.
You’d also probably really like Arabella (romantic complications revolving around two sisters, one of whom has been raised as a boy) and Capriccio (a poet and a composer are both in love with a Countess. it’s supposed to be a metaphor for opera).
Baroque operas are long and can get repetitive. The upside: a) they bop and b) they are gay as fuck. Seriously. The amount of gender-bending is amazing (and to discuss more on this, I will pass you along to my friends @solointhesand and @monotonous-minutia).
Other miscellaneous things in no real order:
-check out anything by Gaetano Donizetti. comedies, tragedies, this guy could do it all.
-Vincenzo Bellini’s Norma is another gay as fuck opera. Seriously. (I’m not a huge Bellini fan, but this one can stay and also that is just my opinion. It is not The Law.)
-so is Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann (will once again pass you on to @monotonous-minutia).
-I LOVE Tchaikovsky. You’d probably love Eugene Onegin…the sheer YEARNING in that.
-especially from the 20th century, there are a LOT of English-language operas. three I’d recommend are Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress (passing you on to @madmozarteanfelinefantasy), Floyd’s Susannah (Susanna and the Elders with an Appalachian, much darker bent), and Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which is great and also obviously very gay.
-people are going to try to get you into Wagner very early. go as you are comfortable. Wagner is great but also very intimidating. my first Wagner was Lohengrin, which was a good choice. I’ll pass you on to a couple of my huge Wagnerian friends @dichterfuerstin and @beckmessering for more in-depth thoughts on this subject.
That’s just to start—I’ll ask my opera friends on here to add their own opinions about good operas to explore, particularly ones with Gay Vibes, because operablr is really a very diverse community and I am only a small part of it. Welcome! Make yourself at home. ❤️

Oh part 1
Part 1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7
Standing in front of that imposing building you felt your resolve falter slightly. It looked as though nothing had changed in years. Even the grove of trees that lined the driveway, tall and graceful, seemed to be frozen in time.
One foot in front of the other, you coax yourself.
You suck in a laboured breath and walk into the large courtyard stopping once again as you take in your surroundings. You had hoped to be able to come and go without notice but the gravel covering the courtyard was doing a great job in announcing your arrival.
This is new, you think to yourself slightly amused at your naivety thinking things would have stood still just because you left.
You hadn’t been back in over a decade after that little incident and if anyone had told you you would be standing where you were right now, you would have laughed in their faces before smacking them across it.
You walk through a smaller sylvan courtyard of blooming orange trees. In its centre you see a fish pond. Smiling you look into it and search for the red and gold koi you had put there when you built the pond as a birthday present for Tony. It swims up to the surface as if it recognises you and if it weren’t for the boxes you were lugging about you might have even bent down to poke at its mouth.
For a split second you consider turning around and walking, no, running away. Screw the freshly baked muffins that were precariously balanced on you. You could just head back to the shop and sell them off at half price. You didn’t need the huge commission that the Avengers had agreed to pay for them. No you definitely didn’t need it…
…you also definitely did not need your business partner chewing off your ear about passing off said commission.
Think of all the rich people eating your food? you can hear her clawing voice bounce about in your head.
In truth you knew that the Avengers could easily afford a better baker. The best pastry chefs this side of the globe would happily saw off their left foot to be able to cater for them. But Pepper rings your mobile phone, claiming she meant to actually dial the shop, to place an order…a significantly large one…one she knew you would not be able to resist.
“Shit…” you mumble under your breath seeing the cause of your stress marching towards you a huge smile on her face.
“Is that how you greet an old friend?” Pepper says holding onto your upper arms and leaning in to place air kisses on your cheeks.
“No of course not…it’s just…umm…” you stutter as your heart thumps so hard it rattles its ribcage.
“I know…it’s a little weird being back” she says hands still holding you in place as if she knew you were about to bolt right out of there.
You shrug chuckling a little. “It’s stupid isn’t it?” you adopt a wide smile which had always been effective when dealing with difficult customers.
“Don’t give me that look” she swipes at your chin, “and it’s not stupid either. Just so you know, we’re all on your side.” She adds giving you a sympathetic look and you calm slightly at her words.
“Thanks Pep.”
“Ok you head in. I’ll meet you inside in a bit, you don’t mind do you? Tony ordered a grand piano and it’s just arrived…” she trails off.
“Sure, I know my way around” you say smiling as she squeezes your arms before letting you go. Of course you knew your way around. After all, this had been your home too for over 5 years.
5 years of bliss with her.
You mentally chide yourself. Nope, not gonna go back there.
As you climb the white marbled steps that led to the main door of the mansion you steal a glance at the silent looming windows glinting in the early morning light. You hesitate a little seeing a shadow pass quickly across one of them.
Shit.
Shaking your head, yet again, you finally reach the large oak doors. The bright and zesty scent of your lemon muffins waft into the air and as you are about to ring the doorbell the solid doors open revealing a tanned and muscled man in a shirt way too small for his body.
“STEVEN!” you shout whisper as his face splits into a wide grin.
“Y/N! Wh-what are you doing here?” he almost engulfs you in a hug stopping at the very last moment realising your arms were occupied.
“I-I…umm, muffins?” you return his grin looking down at your packages.
His eyes widen a little before taking some of the boxes from you. He balances 3 with ease in one hand as he pulls you inside. “No I mean I knew we had ordered from you…,” he says walking with you towards the kitchen, “…but I thought you said you were going to send a runner or something.”
“Well I was but our regular guy called in sick” you say gently placing the boxes onto the kitchen island.
“Well isn’t that unfortunate” he eyes you winking when you catch his gaze.
You roll your eyes at him. “No Steve, it’s the very opposite of what you mean.”
“Oh come on Y/N,” he shuffles up beside you to bump your shoulder, “it’s been so long.”
“It has...but hey! I get to see you again!” you bump his shoulder back and he pretends like it hurts him. “Ok so these need to be consumed within 3 days…”
“Woah woah woah now…” he cuts you off, “…you’re talking like you’re about to leave.”
He gives you a sad pouting face. His crisply parted hair makes him look like a choirboy albeit a very well built one. You almost feel sorry for him.
“Steve you know I don’t belong here” you say fingering the hem of your shirt.
Your answer seems to baffle him. He straightens up and stares at you for a moment narrowing his eyes slightly. “I’m skipping my morning run just to hang out with you, so you can at least spend some time with me.”
“Steve…” you protest before he cuts you off again.
He raises a hand in your face. “Not hearing any of it” he says grabbing yours and leading you out of the kitchen, “…we’re going to take a walk and you’re going to meet some of your family.”
You knew there was no use arguing with him. The death grip he had on you meant that you couldn’t even try to make a dash for it. “Steve if she…” you add and he cuts you off. Third one in a row. This was getting ridiculous.
“Shh!” and that was final. He leads you into the giant library where that vapid painting by Albert Ryder still hung on the wall. You hated that massive eye sore and always wandered what Tony liked about it. You’d always pegged him for the colourful extravagant type and this painting was just so out of character.
“Sam! Look who’s here?” Steve’s voice bellows out interrupting your thoughts. Your eyes trail up the curving mahogany spiral stairs that Steve is looking at and onto another floor of bookcases that were bathed in sunlight pouring in through a round skylight on the ceiling.
“OMG Y/N?!” Sam almost shrieks as he bounds down the steps at a dangerous pace to collect you in a massive bear hug. “What are you doing here?!” he adds still crushing you in his arms.
“I came with the cupcakes…” you giggle as he picks you up and twirls you around. “Th-They brought me as their plus one.”
He puts you down to really look at you as if committing you to memory. A large smile sits on his face. “I see the sass is still there?”
“It never really left, big guy” you raise an eyebrow smirking as he hugs you one more time.
“Pleaseee tell me you’re here for the party?” he groans wrapping an arm around your shoulders looking at you hopefully. “Parties here have been so sad since you’ve been gone.”
You hum about to answer as out of nowhere two slender arms wrap around you. It knocks the wind out of you and you instinctively hug back letting the smell of cinnamon and spice invade your senses. “Wanda!” you yelp.
“You didn’t tell me you were coming” she squeals smacking you across the arm.
You giggle at her pout. “I didn’t know I was coming, malyshka.”
She grins at your use of the word. “Ok let’s go” she says to a chorus of groans.
“Excuse me! You are not taking her any where!” Sam blurts out grabbing your free hand.
“Sorry guys but I found her first” Steve adds standing in front of you and placing an authoritative hand on your shoulder his fingernails biting into the flesh there.
“Guys…” you cough nervously, “how about we take a walk…together” you say quietly and sigh in relief as everyone starts smiling and pestering you with questions again.
I guess nothing’s really changed after all.

Caro would you rank figure skater's butts like you know... in a 'Caro way'?
it’s gonna be another thread. but be careful what you ask for: this is a sport that trains the glutes and thighs like mad. even the skinniest guys walk around like a coke bottle. do you survive a preview?
(^ the reigning king mr. yuzuru hanyu, i’ll talk to you about this infamous booty man in a minute)
PLUS it’s like in formula 1: by virtue of physical laws, the best are all between 5′2 - 5′8. which means visual proportions are in their favor. so brace yourselves.
PS - i rate from 1-10. i also include a frontal picture so you see the skaters properly, this thread has some pretty intense contortions and behind views as you’d expect 😂 and we also gotta enjoy how good-looking they are.☝️
let’s start with a guy who does the heavy duty jumps so you can see how figure skating shapes someone.
^nathan chen - very underrated yale student booty, come on this is literally america’s ass! nate is pretty amazingly built in general, i wanna hear more people talking about it. when gravity is mean to his handsome face because he’s spiralling into outer space again, the chebooty steps right in for him. yes wow, it’s so big and photogenic. the waist when it twists, spectacular. 10/10
^shoma uno - the cute pup seems to be popular on my blog. you guys like him? legit. very smol guy, very curvy, very dynamic skater who comes to life on the ice. and no, this sparkly fella is not a pre-schooler. his coach and the whole figure skating world will disagree with that but shooms is 23! his thickness is legendary and has everyone around the world shook. the s-line is pretty incredible. what can i say. 10/10
^javier fernandez - retired matador, but left a legacy for sure. still a big deal after being a commentator on the world championships and everyone loves the guy so i include him. superjavi is taller and slimmer and you’re probably looking at his costumes instead (this guy did everythig in the book, halloween skills 10/10). regardless, he has a nice side profile and it looks great in motion! the angle in the picture above, chef’s kiss. 7.5/10
deniss vasilijevs - ah, everyone’s tall smart blonde latvian crush. has grown his hair into a ponytail recently so extra points. everyone who trains with stephane lambiel (pictured above) seems to be really thick hence shoma looks like that as well. deniss, not much to say, it catches your eye what’s not to like! solid. he skated a tango recently so man, he got it all. 9/10
boyang jin - he’s hilarious, i love him. like nathan: underrated big posterior! he likes eating all kinds of cakes at figure skating gala dinners and said fact grew a cake on him therefore, jin magic! he also channelled major peter parker booty vibes in his spiderman costume as well. give my favorite geek some more credit everyone, jin looks great! 10/10
jason brown - US figure skating’s number one cutest sunshine. jason lights up the world with his positivity and great body, fantastic jabooty! i mean, look at that picture man. 8/10
keiji tanaka - OOF! a skating veteran with an amazing shape. the pictures speak for themselves again. the waist, the thighs! handsome keiji is a beast. friends, i don’t have to say more. 10/10
keegan messing - a favorite canadian with SUPER emotional skating that always has a personal theme. and you can tell from a mile away that keegs is thick as hell. he wears tight clothing and is mega flexible, jesus. he recently married and i wanna congratulate his wife lane — seen above, i haven’t seen a brighter smile on a bride — on her wonderful short king. 10/10
mikhail kolyada - another underdiscussed skater who’s pretty damn good and puts on a sizzling show! mike is a perfect blend of adorable and handsome. you won’t believe it, he’s 26. well-endowed with a backside, mother russia got something to offer. the kolbooty — it’s just right. look how proportionate and that curve. 8/10
junhwan cha - the utter pride of south korea and an ever-improving amazing talent, junhwan is tall, slim, and gorgeous. to reiterate how his coach (brian orser) has summarized it at worlds yesterday: “beautiful!!” you can’t expect an elf-like 180cm giant who models for VOGUE to have a huge ass. it just wouldn’t fit into the whole elegant impression. i’ll give a low score but know that junhwan is perfect. 3/10
daisuke takahashi - a living legend that HAS to be included, the oldest on the list! dai is 35 and has to be mentioned here since he returned to figure skating! he got back so. (10/10)
yuzuru hanyu - the preview guy! yeah: whew, he vibes different. collect your jaws, everybody. the best figure skater out there obviously has a breathtaking silhouette and the juiciest royal buns. which do pretty crazy things in his routines and when they’re clad in his many fancy pants causing twitter to collapse. mind he often wears padding because his jumps are dangerous af so yuzu will gently fall. but still, everyone in the fandom knows that the yubooty is shapely and way too smacktastic to ignore.
yuzu knows, too, his ass is seemingly in every camera and he bends himself over like nobody’s business. imo, and all his colleagues are saying that, the waist kind of steals the show even more. his torso is entirely flat so his hips stand out even more. ugh, nice thighs, too. full package (literally, no wonder he’s so confident), as always he goes the extra mile. 113/10! (112 is his short program high score and he always breaks the record so i award 113)
...hard to believe yuzu is such a smol cutie pie. 😌🌻

Food for myself
This post is going to be an appreciation post for all the times I was able to order food for myself. Finalizing one dish to eat in dinner is perhaps one of the hardest things I had to do during my tenure.
Let me start with the first dish that I ordered and that happens to be, Rajma Chawal.
The dish was a bit on the drier side but it tasted good. Also the container came in handy till the very end of my tenure. So that’s a plus point.
Yes, I did order from Subway, and I swear I won't do it again. Although it was filling, I was really dissatisfied. In my opinion, it is just better to go to the Subway outlet, order and have the food right there.
Anyway.. The dish I can't even pronounce properly will be my choice out of all the incredible meals I've had thanks to online ordering. Here is a screenshot.. Also.. I think The Bowl Company has a super fan over here.
It tasted amazing. I simply love loved the herbed penne al coccisfhsbifuw yeah. It’s *chef’s kiss*
The thai chicken that I ordered was a lot spicy that what I anticipated but but but the classic mac n cheese was marvelous. Even thought the other dishes were nice but that herbe penne al cooooooakdjhb IT TOPS !!
The Bowl Company has my heart. The chances are good that I would order more when I visit Hyderabad in the future. It was simply incredible.
Now now. Who would have guessed that a MOMO fan would choose anything other than the traditional steamed momos? Here, ZOMOS’ Experiment Box truly did the thing for me. The cheese and chicken momos that were included were delicious. I wonder whether I can recreate the recipe myself at home. We'll see.
Though I've never been a fan of shawarmas, Istah's was excellent. Despite the fact that I don't particularly enjoy onions, I thought the flavour was really nice. Also, look at home amazing the packaging is. I doubt if anyone can surpass it.
Looks can be deceiving right ?
Hell yeah.. One day I thought to try out vegan food. Hold on, folks, this is going to be a little harsh when you compare my expectations with vegan cuisine to reality. I anticipated getting something like this
But instead I received this
Rubbish? yeah.
It smelt nice at first but overtime I came to dislike it. And the thought of the smell now makes me sick.
It tasted terrible. Oh my goodness, wai wai and bubbly got me through. My heroes :’)
If you made it this far then I should definitely say that, I was fortunate to get some amazing neighbors. We used to cook and eat together. That’s why I didn’t have to order in stuff online every weekend.
You know I learnt that, living alone doesn’t make you lonely. It helps you to understand yourself better. This makes me excited for my upcoming adventures.
