look i’m not a fan of him but people’s intense hatred of demetrius stardew valley feels mildly racist to me. he never does anything *that* wrong. he’s a bit of an overbearing father and sometimes acts a little cluelessly, but he’s not a monster lol. i dont think what he does in game warrants the negative response from the fanbase personally.
#stardew valley#sdv demetrius#i could be wrong since people also seem to hate pierre and clint more than they probably deserve#plus i can imagine the way he treats sebastian could rub a lot of people the wrong way#but even then as somebody who once had a horrible step dad demetrius doesn’t even compare lol

Allow Me To Introduce Myself...
TAGGING → Quinn Fabray & Sebastian Smythe LOCATION → Fire & Ice TIME FRAME → Friday night GENERAL NOTES → Chatzy para
Quinn Her grandmother had tried to discourage her from having dinner with Sebastian all day, which only confirmed how little she knew about her granddaughter. Telling her not to do something only made her want to do it more. Besides, she was just getting to know the competition. She'd never get involved with him, not now. Of course, when she became the CEO, she wasn't above getting involved with an employee. Apparently, she wasn't the only one. Quinn had heard her fair share of office gossip today. She stepped out of the elevator and headed toward the lobby. Despite his earlier confirmation that they would still be having dinner together, she was still a little surprised that Sebastian had actually shown up. "Hey," she greeted him.
Sebastian had seen the looks his father have given him during the rest of the day. Besides the looks there had been one or two encouragements over the day, to make sure that he had dinner with Quinn. Sebastian had tried his best to not let his father get to him. He was sure that he would be able to handle this on his own, it would probably be better that way. Sebastian knew that he needed to get to know Quinn, a lot better, if not he would have a hard time trying to get her to give up the CEO position, and he was going to fight. He didn't care about how it looked as long as he got the job. The gossip, it wasn't the first time he was involved in it, and he didn't care, at times he had actually started it himself to see how people would react, most of the time it was about it relationships with some other employee, not that he would call it relationships, those were for boring people. "Hey," he replied, a bit surprised that Quinn was there, but happy none the less, "I'm guessing, your grandmother couldn't convince you to drop the handsome so to be CEO," he said, the smirk playing on his lips. "Shall we?"
Quinn noticed the brief flicker of surprise in his eyes. She supposed he was just as surprised that she'd shown up as she was that he had. She gave him a noncommittal shrug. "Sure, lead the way," she responded, falling into step beside him. After walking in silence for some time, Quinn commented, "You're a pretty good actor by the way, pretending like you had no idea who I was." She tilted her head to the side, wanting to figure out his angle. She also wanted to learn as much as she could about him. She might not have been all that interested in being CEO that morning, but the fact that she would have to compete for the position made it all that more interesting. Plus, her competition was intriguing as well.
Sebastian turned to face Quinn. He hadn't known who Quinn was. "Thank you for saying that," he replied smiling at her. His father had mentioned that there might be some competition, but he had never really found out more than that. "Maybe that is something that you can learn if you're planning on taking on a role as CEO if you ever got that far," he said looking at her. Sebastian was sure that he would end up the winner, and it would feel so much better knowing that he won. The one bad thing about Quinn knowing about this was that he wasn't going to have a chance to see her out of her clothes, well at least not tonight, but he was sure he would be able to charm her, no one had ever said no to the Smythe charm when he put it on. "I think this is the best place for us," he said as they stopped outside the restaurant. "They got a lot of different dishes so I'm sure something will fit your taste if not, there is a lot of good drinks."
Quinn gave him a polite smile. "When I become the CEO, I assure you I will not be using my acting skills despite how good they are," she responded, resisting the urge to flip her hair over her shoulder. She looked up when they came to a stop. "I hope you have good taste," she told him simply, seeing as she'd never been here before. She followed him inside, surprised by how quickly they'd been seated. There had only been a small crowd waiting for tables, but still. "You were right," she said when she opened up a menu. "They do offer a lot of variety." She locked her eyes on his briefly. "Don't get used to hearing that phrase, by the way," she finished before she continued to decide on what to eat.
Sebastian smirked, glad to hear that Quinn wasn't just giving up, even if he knew that he would be the one on top. "It's never fun winning if your competition just lay there," he began, "so I'm glad you're fighting but we both know I'm going to win this." He turned to her, "but if you want to be on top, I'm not going to complain, I'm sure you'd look good on top of me." Sebastian raised his eyebrows looking at her, "I'm offended, I have excellent taste," he replied, his eyes roaming over Quinn's body. He leaned back in his seat, arms crossed over his chest. "Oh, I'm sure I'm going to hear you say it a lot more than you think," he said, slowly leaning forward, "but I promise not to rub it in too much."
Quinn smiled at him. "I probably would," she told him, leaning forward a little and adding in a whisper, "You'll never be sure though." She resumed looking over her menu. It was a shame, really. Quinn imagined that Sebastian and her would have had a lot of fun together in the bedroom. "Uh huh," she acknowledged his words in a noncommittal manner. "We'll see about that." She set her menu down on the table. "I'll have the butter chicken risotto," she said. "What are you getting?"
Sebastian leaned back, lips pressed together, looking at Quinn, "and you don't know what I'll know," he replied. He wasn't going to turn back on innuendos, or stop making comments about what could have happened between them, still could if Quinn was down for it. "I guess we will, but you should know that I'm very good at what I do, very good," Sebastian said with a wink. "I'm thinking, the pasta Alfredo, it's a good one," he replied, "and maybe some wine to that, red? Or do you prefer white."
Quinn ignored his little quip. "Red," she responded, letting Sebastian order for them when a server came by. The server promptly returned with a bottle of red wine and poured each of them a glass. Quinn smiled at her appreciatively and took a long drink. Ah, she could feel herself relaxing already. Her first day had been unexpectedly taxing, so a glass of wine or two was exactly what she needed. "So how long have you been at the company?" she asked him, looking at him over the rim of her glass. There was no time like the present to start getting to know her competition after all.
Sebastian was a bit surprised that Quinn hadn't reacted to what he had said, he had been sure he would get a reaction from her. He took a sip from the wine, not the best he had ever had, but it wasn't the worst, so it would be fine for tonight, he wasn't going to spend a lot of money, at least not yet. Maybe the alcohol would help them relax, even if it hadn't been too awkward between them. "Oh, for a few years," he replied, "I started working during my breaks in college and I did some interning too," he replied, "and my father have been working for it for years," Sebastian replied, "I pretty much grew up in his office." He looked at Quinn, "and I know Kitty, she's one fierce woman," he said leaning back, "and how does it feel knowing that the only reason you're considered for the position is because who your grandmother is?" he asked, maybe he was pushing things too far but he couldn't help it.
Quinn had expected such an answer. She'd heard about Kitty from some of the employees today. She certainly sounded like a force to be reckoned with. Katy Wilde sounded like quite the character as well. Maybe Quinn would get to meet the Wilde sisters one day. She had a feeling they'd get along wonderfully. She shrugged her shoulders in response to his question, her demeanour nonchalant. "In my opinion, if you have connections, use them," she said. "In this day and age, hard work alone's not guaranteed to get you anywhere. Sometimes, it's a matter of who you know. You can deny it all you want, but I'm sure who your father is helped you get to where you are, at least in part. So yeah, I'm being considered because of my grandmother, but no, I'm not the least bit bothered by it. Are you?"
Sebastian had a feeling that introducing the Wilde sisters to Quinn could backfire, but at the same time it would be interesting to see how they reacted to each other. Sebastian was almost taken back with how Quinn reacted to his questions, it wasn't the reaction he had thought it would be, maybe there was more to her than he had seen so far. "I'm not saying that connections aren't something you should use," he replied, "but never use them if you can't live up to them," Sebastian said, looking at her. "Not one bit for sure," he replied, "I just don't want to see you get crushed, when I win this." He pressed his lips together, he was about to ask her another question when their food arrived.
Quinn "I'm touched," she responded with a hint of sarcasm in her voice. "But I don't plan on losing." She leaned back a little when the food arrived to give their server some space. If the food tasted as good as it looked and smelled, she was in for a treat. She tried a bite of her risotto. Delicious. "So tell me," she started up the conversation again after a few more bites in silence. "What exactly do you do at the company? I know you run the creative department, but what do you do besides boss people around?"
Sebastian wasn't a stranger to sarcasm, it didn't take a lot for him to hear when someone was sarcastic. "Well, then this will be fun," he replied raising and eyebrow, his eyes twinkling, "since I'm not planning on losing too, so let the best man win." Sebastian knew that the food was going to be great, and he couldn't wait to hear Quinn tell him that he had made a good choice, and picking a good place to eat was a lot easier than running a company but he knew that he wouldn't have a problem with that. His department was after all the best one. "Well, it's not as easy as you may think," he replied, "the creative department is in charge of all the ads that we produce, we do the printed ads, the commercials you see on TV, and a lot more," he said, "without us there wouldn't be an agency it's that simple."
Quinn Of course the creative department was vital to a PR agency. She might have no experience in the business world, but she knew that much. "Sounds like fun," she commented. Maybe she would talk to her grandmother about letting her work in the creative department. She might actually enjoy making ads. Besides, the creative department was an important one, and working there would keep her close to her competition. Keep you friends close and your enemies closer, right? She locked eyes with Sebastian. It was too bad that he was her competition. Under different circumstances, she would definitely end up in bed with him tonight.
Sebastian A small smirk appeared over his lips, "It is fun," he replied, taking a bit of his food. Maybe he could convince someone to let Quinn work with them for a month or so, he did need to know what she was up to, and it was always better to have your enemies closer. The last thing he wanted was to be surprised by something Quinn did, and the only way to do so was to have her work with him. He let out a breath, shaking his head a little, why was it like this, she was hot, and he needed to get laid, and Sebastian was sure that if Quinn had been someone else, he would have gotten laid. He would need to call or text someone when he got home, if he didn't manage to convince Quinn. "So... besides my amazing department where would you like to work?"
Quinn "Within the company?" she questioned, pursing her lips together in thought afterwards. "I'm not sure, although I am surprisingly good at numbers." She'd been considering opening her own bar someday before her grandmother had inserted herself into her life after all, although now, that seemed like forever ago. Quinn finished off the rest of her dinner. Admittedly, Sebastian had proven to be pretty good company. She looked at him over the rim of her glass as she took a sip of her wine. "So what are your plans after dinner now that we're no longer going to screw?" she asked him boldly. If she wasn't getting laid tonight, she might as well have some fun teasing him about the wild night they could have had together.
Sebastian nodded his head, he really tried to hold back a laugh when he heard her. "So you're telling me that you want to work in accounting?" he asked, "the most boring place at the company?" he raised his eyebrows looking at, it was the last place he would have imagine Quinn working, not that he would tell her that. Sebastian had to confess, to himself at least, that Quinn had been a somewhat good company. He leaned forward, looking at her, "what if I put the screwing back on the table?" he asked, flicking his tongue over his lips, "well," a smirk playing on his lips, "who said I wasn't getting screwed tonight?" he asked as he leaned back, "there are a lot of people that wouldn't mind taking a ride on this," he crossed his arms, "so I'm not the one missing out." Two could play this game, and he wasn't planning on losing.
Quinn "For a little bit, sure," she answered him. "I want to learn as much as I can while I'm here." She gave him an amused smile. "Don't bother," she told him, having made up her mind. She tilted her head to the side a little as she looked at him. "I assure you, neither am I." She finished off the rest of her wine, ready to call it a night. She might stop by the bar to see if they needed any extra help. It was a Friday night after all, one of their busiest nights.
Sebastian nodded, it made sense, she did lack some experience and it was always good to learn more about a potential work of place. "Okay," he replied, "I never said I was going to put it back on the table," he winked at her. He finished his drink, and looked over at Quinn, "I guess this is it," he said, "and I have to admit, even if it hurts me, I did have a somewhat nice time, but I'm sure that will change over time." He said and waved down a waiter letting them know that he was ready to pay for their food.
Quinn "Hmmm, charming," she commented sarcastically, turning to look at the server he'd waved down afterwards. After the bill had been settled, Quinn gathered her things and said goodnight. She had a feeling that her life was about to get a whole lot more interesting.
