Hm. So about the Hidden Moon ending.

I like it no matter what and admittedly I'm going through some stuff right now so I wasn't paying 100% attention.

But does the ending imply that:

It was all a story/marketing concept Khen thought up because he likes history, Chiang Mai and bumped into a hot student with a penchant for Shakespeare.

History is repeating itself.

History might be repeating itself but this time things are different due to changed karma.

A mixture of all of the above aka we just don't know.

And like I said, I like open endings even if they're a bit confusing. The last episode felt hopeful rather than sad to me and that's what stayed with me the most. Overall, I really liked the show despite its flaws. 🙏

I also suspect that there's a much clearer ending in the novel that just didn't work very well in the show (like with IFYLITA).
