This is a bit rushed and idk if I like it but I wanted to get it posted :0 Meant to get it out by Wednesday so yeah that didn't happen, but I hope y'all like it! (Also sorry it's so short)

The mission had royally sucked. You had spent way too long in a desert that was way too hot, waiting to ambush a rival cartel. Due to previous failed attempts, Valeria decided that she would get it done herself - with you by her side of course.

When the two of you were finally back in Las Almas, and done with an important meeting that followed, you both wasted no time getting to you and Valeria’s private quarters. You were exhausted, and seriously ready for a good shower and a long nap.

First stop: a relaxing shower. Valeria surprisingly let you wash her hair for her, and did the same for you. Afterwards, you both put on pajamas and got ready for bed. Unsurprisingly, though, Valeria is not a patient woman, especially when she's tired. So as you were drying your hair, she walked up behind you, wrapping her arms around your waist and putting her head on your shoulder.

Her skin was still warm from the shower, and she smelled slightly of the soaps that she always used. It was all you could do to not fall asleep standing.

"It is time for bed," she mumbled against your skin.

Indeed it was.

You both laid down, the soft feeling of the blankets being nothing compared to Valeria's arms wrapping around you, holding you close to her. She moved her head to brush her lips against your cheek, just before planting a feather-light kiss on your skin.

"Goodnight cariño," she whispered, as her eyelashes brushed your face as she closed her eyes.

"Goodnight mi vida," you whispered back, pressing your forehead to hers.

She'd never admit to the smile and blush that crossed her face as you both fell asleep.
