so something that really sucks is i only very recently started utilizing the bookmark function, so some of my old old old favorites from prev fandoms (ffxv & fe3h) are lost to the void and i don't feel like searching them out.

but that's okay because i fucking LOVE A Monster with Two Heads and One Heartbeat by @timetoboldlygo my beloved. i really should reread it again soon, it was just an absolute masterpiece of characterization between Black and White in a really interesting 'what if' scenario.

13 -> a fic that inspired you to create something for it

my toxic trait is that i've never done this. i've had people do it for some of my fics and headcanons and it's always the BEST feeling but i am absolutely paralyzed by the idea of disappointing the fic author or mischaracterizing their blorbos or something so i just.. haven't yet. Orchid (mentioned in one of my prev answers) really tempted me but i chickened out.

hello. I wanted to share: I forcibly roped my roommie into watching 911 and once we watched the tsunami arc I was like "FINALLY I can send her one of my fav fics, your dreary mondays." she loved it (obviously) and live-texted me her reactions, one of which was simply: DINO NUGGETS. So, now, whenever we're feeling big feelings about buddie or true love in general, we shout DINO NUGGETS across the house. you're quite literally a household name!

(also: I was p sure LAFD updates man was spoiler free, so I sent her that as well. she also loved it and said, "oh, what a funny au where eddie works the twitter desk at dispatch." Me, nodding: yep, such a silly au how did they come up with that)

ohhh man, there are two i wanna say but one of them also applies to 17 so ill keep it for that.

the blood on your lies by inkin_brushes was recommended to me by a friend and i was so hesitant to start because it's so long but my friend insisted i would love it so i dove in once i'd cleared my backlog of other fics to read.

holy fuck. i stayed up late every night to read this. i was reading it in the car running errands. if my phone was in my hand, i was reading.

this fic is everything to me. my friend and i scream anytime the author makes a tweet about the next update. we only have two chapters left before it's finished and i'm going to lose my fucking mind when it's over. we've been recommending it to all our friends and have a little book club for it. i'm debating learning how to print and book bind so i can have a physical copy and gift one to a friend.

pls if anyone likes stray kids gang/mafia au do yourself a favor and start reading it and then come scream in my inbox.

17 -> a fic you wish you could read again for the first time

Orchid by inexperiencedandconfused8 . when i read it it was still updating and i was on a road trip, it updated while we were on the 8 hour trip and i literally yelled in the car i was so excited. this fic was such a journey and i never expected what was coming next. it was dark, grisly, romantic, and morally gray. i'm thinking of sitting down for a reread if i can get my friend (from the previous ask) to read it as well. i really, really miss Orchid but i cannot wait to see what the author has planned for their next fic.
