you know what's really crazy about this? especially with it only being season 1. it tells us point blank that house is the other woman from the very beginning.

your husband ditches you on christmas, gives you some lie about being needed at work. and he's a doctor, he saves lives. so you can't argue with him, you can't get mad. you grit your teeth and entertain your guests and rest assured you're fine, he's a doctor, you're used to being alone on the holidays. and he's at the other woman's house, they're eating dinner together, they're smiling and laughing and your husband is draped over her furniture so causally like that's exactly where he belongs. he wants to be there and he doesn't want to be with you.

it doesnt matter that they didn't have sex, it doesn't matter if they even kissed. that's an affair. the fact that house is a man does not change the fact that it's just pointedly an affair.
