Tbh I think people getting super upset about that Palworld game are hilarious bcs weird knock-off Pokemon games that brazenly dance the line of straight up plagarisim are a time-honored video game tradition and this is probably the like, 500 billionth one ever made, and none of them have ever stopped Pokemon from being one of the most well known and profitable IPs in human history.

Like I think in general plagarisim is bad and if they were ripping off an indie game studio or a single creator this would be a completely different story, but I really don't think 'I can't believe it's not Pokemon 12' is hurting Game Freak's bottom line, and literally everyone is going to forget this game exists the second a new mainline Pokemon game drops.

(Also Nintendo is famously not super chill about people Using Their Stuff(tm) so I'm sure if they actually thought this game was stealing from them they would have fucking nuked it from orbit by now. Pretty sure they don't care bcs this is keeping Pokemom relevant and making everyone forget how much of a goddamn mess ScarVi was.)
