(I made this in what, 30 minutes, so no beta-reading or rereading from my part, I'll correct any mistakes if someone finds them!)

"Whumpee! Whumpee! Oh God, oh-" They basically choked on air when they saw the state Whumpee was in. For a moment they wanted to stay glued to the floor, like they know [..,] would, but the momentum kept them going.

Rushing over to Whumpee's side, they very gently lifted up their head onto their lap, and pulled Whumpee a bit further upright, so that they could hold them by their shoulders.

"Hey, can you hear me? I'm here, you're safe now, promise." Whumpee seemed vaguely aware of the voice that spoke to them, their vision too clouded, too swollen, to see anything beyond a silhouette. Nevertheless, they recognized that it was, indeed, a safe voice. They wanted to speak, to scream, to cry. But their throat was too dry, blood still pooled in the back of their throat, so all that came out was a gargling noise. They tried coughing, trying to forcefully get rid of stuff obstructing their throat. Because they had a wish. Just one wish. And [...] had to know it. They knew that this was the voice of the one person who could indeed do what they asked, who would honour this particular wish.

[...] quickly wiped away the tears and snot that had accidentally collected on their face. "Alright, I'm going to call the others in, we'll carry you to the car, and I'll bring you home, I'll make better, make you safe," they tried encouraging Whumpee, smiling with hope past the wetness in their eyes.

To their shock, however, Whumpee shook their head, and clutched their arm, scratching open the skin in desperation. While the act was weakened by exhaustion, [...] understood. They knew it, they had felt this feeling.

Needlessly it sacred the shit out of them, but they recognized what giving up was like. If you could even call this giving up.

They toned their voice down to a whisper: "What are you saying? Do you want- do you want me-," they raised their head, swallowed, and blinked a few tears away, being unable to pry the words past their tongue. They looked back down at the broken figure of their partner. "Do you want me to-... oh God... should I end it... for you?" Their voice cracked on accident.

It took a number of seconds for Whumpee to react, and to their disappointment, [...] felt hope welling in their chest. They knew, however, what the answer would be. The truth was, they could only agree with Whumpee-

when they nodded.

"Please," Whumpee managed barely, and [...] noticed that they, too, were crying. This kind of decision was never easy, even if the sensation afterwards would be so much different, whether relieving or disastrous.

"Ok, ok, ok... I will- don't worry. I'm not going to betray you, I'll do it."

Whumpee wanted to close their eyes and rest, but [...] spoke to them once more: "Any wishes on how to go, any last words?" their voice was filled with pain and grief already. Whumpee again just shook their head, now deciding it'd be way nicer to keep their eyes on [...]. They had always liked this person, loved them, in whatever way you'd imagine. Whumpee wanted them to know that. When [...] took their hand, and raised it to cup their face, Whumpee realized that they had been trying to lift their arm for said motion, having failed to find the energy. "I know. I love you too. In every possible imaginable way. Don't worry, I'll stay here."

Whumpee opened their mouth to give one last wish to [..], but they had foreseen this, and filled in Whumpees words. "It'll be our secret, I promise. Nobody'll know. You can go take it to your grave, and I'll take it to mine. It'll be our everlasting bond," they said with a smile, and noticed to their happiness that Whumpee was returning it.

These last words were too difficult for [...] to every even form in their mouth. They were afraid to think them, even.

So they signed them.

With those last words crossed between these two, [...] grabbed their g*n with one trembling hand, grateful for having loaded it before raiding the place, while kissing the top of Whumpees head numerous times, trying to take up every ounce, every bit of warmth, every smell of them.

[...] repositioned themselves to not be in the line of fire, they held the g*n above Whumpees head, careful not to touch them with the cold metal. They wished for Whumpee to be relaxed with the thought of being at peace, not fearing the moment it would happen. It took [...] every ounce of energy to breathe normally and not break down right that second. They prayed to whoever that would take their soul, that they take it lightly, and treat them right. That they knew that this was somehow the hardest, and yet the easiest decision that they had taken in their life.

The shot rang loudly in their ears

"Forgive me," they whispered.

Knowing they had no time until the others would arrive, [...] quickly stuffed their gun back where they normally kept it.

Not half a minute later they heard stomping, running, tripping footsteps near them. It was [..,]

Fucking great, they thought sadly. This was the person who would most likely completely succumb under this.

Seeing the two figures, [..,] quickly grabbed their radio, and mumbled their location, "... [...] found Whumpee, you guys have to hurry up!"

[..,] neared a few more steps, but was too afraid of what they might see. The fear pumped violently through their system, their breath so erratic, it felt like their trachea would bulge at any moment. The raging fear made place for the fear accompanied by sadness.

And confusion.

Why did [...] not call anything in? Why are they just sitting there? What about the person who fired the shot? Were they still near, did they have to go and clear their surrounding?

By the still-sitting [...], they decided that whoever fired a shot was probably already gone, hopefully not having done any more damage.

So [..,] spoke up: "we have to sav- we have to save them!

We- we can't, can we?" they said desperately, tears streaming down their cheeks as the horrifying realization set in.

[...] slowly shook their head. "They're gone, they were gone when I arrived, all I could do was hold them" they say, squeezing just a bit tighter, letting their tears fall on Whumpees skin as a last apology.

Knowing full well it was them who ended Whumpee stressed them out, but one thing was for sure: no-one had to know; the pact stood for eternity.

Caretaker finally finds Whumpee after months of searching and they're in worse condition than they originally thought, so they're forced to make the hard decision: Attempt to save Whumpee, or finally put them out of their misery.

A: I’m mona, a High School student and an idol. It’s nice to meet you!

Q2: What is something that you’ve been hooked on lately?

A: Trying out different foods! As you can see from a couple of the pictures in my photobook, I love to eat shaved ice with tons of fruits on it. I plan on trying shaved ice topped with lots of mangoes next time.

Q3: What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

A: I stretch out, just like a cat does. My body is all stiff when I wake up, so stretching feels great. I recommend that you guys do it too!

Q4: What is something that you always carry with you?

A: Lip balm, I guess. As I’m an idol, I’d like to avoid having dry lips if I can help it!

Q5: Do you collect any items?

A: I collect goods of idol girls. Whenever I attend their concerts, I buy at least 10 random bromides, though I’d buy 20 if I can afford them! Also, I have all the CDs of the idols I follow!

Q6: What is your favourite ride at the amusement park?

A: The roller coasters! Like the ones that make you scream a ton, I guess. But that bungee jump that I did on that one TV show was pretty scary~.

A: The flexibility of my body, I guess. I train my flexibility every day for the sake of my dances.

A: I’d like to write lyrics and compose music! I want to give writing songs by myself a try. I think that there are songs that only I would be able to write in order to convey the feelings to my fans which would otherwise be unable to get through to them. Neil -  Dionysus. Like cmon he’s the god of the theatre, one of favourite gods back then. It is believed that Dionysus had the power to inspire people to greatness and convince them to fulfill their greatest desires

Todd - Apollo. At first I was thinking about Atena, because like Apollo she’s the godness of poetry, but after all Apollo suits more. He’s not only the god of poetry but also literature, beauty, art and music.

Charlie - this one was hard but I think Hermes. He’s known to be a chotic god, he wanted adventures this is why he’s the herald of the gods, so he can travel and discover new places.

Knox - if we consider fanon knox i would say Eros, the god of love and passion, but i think Mania would suit here better. Mania’s the godness of crazy love, a love where one side is so obsessed with their loved one that it seems unhealthy 

Meeks - and here’s why I didn’t put Athena with Todd. I think it suits Meeks more. He’s a genius. And Athena is not only godness of poetry, but mainly of wisdom and strategy 

Cameron - had to think about it for a while. I come up with Momus, he’s the god of mistakes and in the myths, he had to repent on his sins and learn from their mistakes (I am not a Cameron ati, but even tho I love him, I must admit he did some mistakes and he have to learn from them)

Pitts - I don’t have a specific reason here, just Pan and Pitts give the same vibe to me. Maybe it’s because of that headcanon that Pitts loves nature and birds.

Hello fellow Harold enthusiast!! I have in fact gotten this question before but I'm actually quite happy to receive it again as I've long been meaning to create a Harry reading list that would (hopefully) allow people to follow his entire story up to his death

In this chronological guide I've attempted to capture Harry's journey as a character, narrowed down from my own 616 reading experience.

I tried to stay focused on Harry-centric storylines and issues, but I couldn't resist adding some casual appearances particularly during the Silver Age because 1) I think of it as foundational to just about everything that matters in Spider-Man comics and 2) Harry-centric storylines tend to show him at his most distressed. They're important and often brilliant, but reading only those issues feels like a disservice to his kind and loving qualities. It's important to experience the smaller, calmer moments with him as well to truly understand his character.

Personal favorites are bolded, if you care for my bias.

Due to the numerous Spider-Man mags that were at times running simultaneously and ping-ponging storylines between one another, titles will be abbreviated as follows;

imagine your just a little rat. and you got left behind by your family because they had to flee and you weren't fast enough to follow. but you're fine now, you found a new house with new rats. theyre a bit intimidating, they use big words and this weird thing called "letters."

but they are really patient when they find out you cant read. and they always wait for you when you arent quick enough to follow. and one of them even comforts you when you get locked in a cage together and you have a panic attack because you really dont like cages. so, when the nice rats finally help you figure out your writing, you mention him in the letter you write to your parents as one of your new friends.

you adress the letter to your mom and dad and throw it into the sea, hoping it will land whereever they are. you write "I'm sorry. I love you. I have a new family now."

and you finally accept it, what has happened to you. you are ready to move on, to build a new future in this new place with all these rats who are important to you. you want to stay with them for a long, long time.

and then, without a warning, your home gets destroyed just three days later.

so, how do you think will felt? running behind all those other rats as they fled? do you think they were afraid that they wouldn't make it again, this time? and do you think, when they all finally arrived and saw martyn wasn't with them, that will thought he got left behind just like they had been? do you think it felt like losing their family again, just a little bit?

okay but seriously though. Is there a possibility that bowman has actually done work to make up for his mistakes? yeah. there is always that possibility. Does that mean he should be immediately hired? no. now don't get me wrong, i am all for giving people second chances. we all fuck up at some points. many of our favorites do. however, i will admit, when it comes to situations like sexual assault and abuse (or in this case covering up abuse), it's a bit more complicated (especially as a survivor myself). Now. I will give credit where credit is due; both Bowman and Jackson have been in contact with Beach (With Beach allegedly approving of the hiring) which is good to see. Also worth noting, Sheldon Kennedy, who was abused himself by Graham James, supports Bowman's return.

However, I do think this is something we should hear from Beach himself. Although considering the stress he probably dealt with during the scandal and speaking out, combined with how ruthless some hockey fans can get (especially online), I personally wouldn't blame him for not making a public statement.

Now with that out of the way, none of that changes the fact that Bowman did what he did. It's not going to make what he did okay. Also, keep in mind that there's still another lawsuit Chicago is facing as well, and possibly many more victims out there too, and who knows how they might be feeling right now.

I know people are bringing up the fact that he was also just... really bad as a GM (Which was definitely true, Hawks fans can vouch for this one). But that's not the fucking point here. That's not the problem. The problem is that he ruined a person's life all for the sake of a cup. In terms of forgiveness, that's up to Beach and the other victims, not us. However, we cannot deny that this was a bad decision, especially in the midst of another lawsuit against Chicago, and especially when the OILERS PLAYERS WEREN'T EVEN NOTIFIED ABOUT THIS. Again, I'm all for second chances. And if Beach is okay with this hiring, then great! But even then, we cannot deny the harm he's caused. Just because Beach and Kennedy are okay with the hiring doesn't mean other survivors will feel the same way. And honestly, I feel like in a situation like this, this is something you should give your players a heads up about.

Now, I'm not entirely confident the Oilers will drop Bowman (Keep in mind they still have Evander Kane). However, with the amount of backlash they've gotten, I see no reason why they shouldn't reverse this decision, and there's a slim chance with enough of our rage, we can make them reconsider. (Remember, Boston dropped Miller after both fans and players criticized the signing!). Should Bowman stick around though, we should make sure what he's done is not swept under the rug and forgotten. Nothing will make this okay.

okay so a couple days ago @mccleans made a really good post about the maltreatment of players and i agree with everything she said (ily lucy you're veryy smart 🤭💗). and bc i am unable to shut up, i'd like to go deeper into what exactly i meant with my old hollywood, football, and kpop comparison, long post ahead!

the old hollywood star system was basically this:

actors would be signed to specific production companies. for example, take the MGM production company. MGM would hire young amateur actors. they would then grow these actors by putting them through professional training in acting, as well as singing/dancing/comedy to boost their appeal. if you were signed with MGM, then you would only be allowed to star in movies produced by MGM. these actors were moulded to be “stars” both on and off the screen. they would usually have a specific niche attached to them, or be consistently type-casted in movies, not having the rights to choose which projects they wanted to take on. these contracts were binding and could last several years, including suspensions and loans. when the stars were being disobedient or made mistakes, they would be punished by being put on loans to other studios, suspended from acting completely, or put in less popular movies. the star system ended for a reason: the lack of ethics led to actors putting their foot down, shown by the multiple cases where they sued their studios. 

this system sounding a little too familiar? the current kpop idol system is essentially the exact same format (except for the loan part), and you’ve probably heard about how fcked up the kpop industry is….. football-wise, we can see just from this january’s transfer window how little care some clubs have on their players’ wishes. paying no mind to them because hey! you’re under a big money contract! i just thought it was interesting to see the similarities between these three industries and how we haven’t really moved on very much.
