hate potter in the episodes where he's pissed off about something and terrorizes everyone about it, but i love hawkeye striding into his office, sitting on his desk, and pointedly telling him he's a great listener for anyone who wants to open up about their personal issues

#mash s8 #marley on mash #mash #also i think last time i watched this ep i was annoyed that hawkeye wasn't trying to distract potter from the phone call to keep the cook #BUT tbf while 'cmon you know me better than that' is a stupid response for the writers to write since My Hawkeye absolutely would #and has gone behind colonel's backs to scheme and will do so again he also wouldn't offer to listen to potter's problems as a cheap #ploy to distract him - he'd be sincere about it. so i'm more forgiving this rewatch
