Catherine Graves reporting live from outside Rhee's Bar & Grill where a series of attacks during a viewing of the March Madness tournament has claimed five lives and left one injured.

The timeline of events remains unclear but several eye witness testimonies note that around 11:45 pm, Brooks Azar had collapsed near the bar, suffering a fatal stab wound. The remaining victims— Montez Phillips, Sita Abbrams, Pierce Walker, and Kerryn Bilal— also are reported to have died from similar stab wounds, though details surrounding their deaths remain unclear. Kaeo Dupont, known to the community as Clem, was injured tonight and is currently receiving treatment at Griggs General.

Local law enforcement has taped off the restaurant and attendees of what was supposed to be a celebration tonight are now being questioned. Chief of Police, Nathan Buckley assures the community that, and I quote, "[they] are taking this investigation extremely serious and will not rest until the perpetrator of these devastating attacks has been found and all victims get the justice they deserve."

More bodies are being identified, people have begun to fear what caused them all.  Those already suspicious of Armes E. Sallow have used this to their advantage - calling her into question, pushing against the Research Center, and even some archival files going missing.

A month has passed since our last plot update, but the town has not stopped in that time.

The air was a crisp autumn chill when they walked by the Radio Station late last night.  I was up, talking with Station Management, and the world seemed to go quiet as they walked by.  There was an unthinkable power in the way they moved, in the way they just walked towards the fence and let themselves into town.  Station Management was not there when I turned back around - they too felt the power in this person. And I must say: not much scares Station Management.

On the Case

According to Canary, Cardinal, and Cockatoo, masked vigilantes have made an appearance offering their help in tracking down the source of these murders.  Batwoman, Robin, Batgirl, and a team of detectives they’ve collected are on the case, and it’s encouraged that you assist them in any way that you can.  Batwoman has made contact with one of our editors here, assuring us that news of what they find will come to us first so we can deliver it to the people of Sallow Hills.  Ensure you are subscribed to our forum for quicker updates.

Identities Discovered. 

Cardinal has reached out to the Sallow Times with more identities of bodies that they have made.   While all the bodies have been discovered and time and cause of death are nearly complete, the identity of many bodies is still yet to be named.  

Today, the Cardinal delivers us with three more names.  Jamie Lannister, Armitage Hux, and Negan Smith.  Once again they are asking those who have the mental capacity to, come down and see if they can identify any of the bodies.

The month of love and hate is coming to a close, and if there are any other special people you would like to proclaim your feelings to, please ensure to.  The proper procedure is to stand on your roof at 10:02 at night and simply announce their name.  Listen for your name, and you might have a new lover.  Or enemy.   

In other news, the mysterious powerful person has begun making a name for themselves in town.  I was told by one of you dear lovely listeners that they went straight to the archives and neither they nor Armes were seen for days.   How peculiar, as it is not hermit week.

The Legacy Continues

In a shocking turn of events that have turned many for a loop, a person has come into town proclaiming to be Armes E. Sallow’s child.  Wynn Sallow was first spotted in town on the night of February 16th by the anonymous radio host.  The Host declined to comment, stating that Station Management (not to be confused with the station owner, and in fact, we have no records of a Station Management) would not be happy if they did.   

Wynn was not seen by many for the first week that they were here, though recently both they and Armes were spotted in town, talking quietly amongst themselves.  This, along with Armes E. Sallow’s lack of comment otherwise, has led many of us here to believe that this truly is the child of Sallow.  Mr. Davies, a local in town that many of you may know, did comment for us.  

“I ain’t never knew that Armes had a kid.  Can’t even think of when she would’ve.  There were a couple months in the late eighties when she was just starting to set up the Research Center that she wasn’t seen a lot, so maybe it happened around then?”

The Bat Breaks News

We have received news from our group of detectives that have been investigating the bodies around town.  It has been decided that there is not a shadow of a doubt that we are dealing with a serial killer.   The detectives ask that we do not panic, as that may only make things worse in the long run.  They were kind enough to deliver to us the facts that they know.  

It appears that there is a very clear pattern to the killings.  Every year there is a single week in which one person is killed every day of that week.  The month has varied every year, though they posit that this year we may have seen a repeat month.  There have been no bodies found from this year, though Batwoman believes that the identifying of these bodies so early on in the year may have helped stave off more occurring.  As of now, they have been calling the culprit the Advent Killer.

They are not sure who is responsible, or if it is one person or multiple.  It is asked that you bring any information you might have to the Newspaper, and we will deliver it to our masked detectives.

Town Hall Recap 

Last night there was a town hall meeting that multiple of our reporters went to.  With the reveal of a serial killer likely being responsible for many deaths in Sallow Hills, many within town have been calling for answers.  They have not been looking to the Mayor, however, but to Armes E. Sallow herself.  

While Sallow Hills is a proud democracy with a mayor, it has always been apparent that Ms. Sallow has had much power in this town, with her command of the archives and of the Research Center.  It is due to these two commands that she has, that many have been calling for her removal, or for her to have further oversight.  Finn, mayoral assistant, commented, “It’s not about her.  It’s about the fact that there’s someone out there killing people, and out of everyone, she was the most likely person to be able to realize what is happening.  I gave her missing person reports, she records everyone coming into town, and we don’t even know what they’re researching half the time.” 

There were two loud voices at Town Hall last night.  Florence Tenners, vocal member of the neighborhood watch and ex-military personnel, was vocal for more oversight.  He sighted his experience with known Sallow Hills killer, Victor Zsasz, and proposed that there needs to be a stronger hand in Sallow Hills to prevent these things from happening.  

Margaret James, foreman of the Port and head of import and export in town, proposed that the power Armes controls should not fall to one person, but rather a company of people.  She also went on a tangent about profits, and how this disarray occurring in Sallow Hills currently only proves that thinking “solely about everyone, without thinking of individuals, leads to destruction.”  After this, Mr. Davies had to be removed for the comments he made after this.  

However, the real star of the show seemed to be Wynn Sallow.  At the end of the night, they stepped up to say their own peace.  They delivered a moving story about how being given up for adoption had lead to them being curious of this town, though that they stood with no allegiance to their mother.  They claimed that the real problem was a lack of honesty from the departments that their mother ran, and that they agreed with Tenners and James both, however not in the means that they proposed to fix it.

Since the Sallow Times uncovered unresolved murders that were hidden from the public, the town has begun digging everything up that they can.  Questions of a serial killer, of a cult, and even if Armes E. Sallow is behind it all.  But what information has actually been put out there?

I’ve been finding more and more notes, and it’s just making it unnerving.  I found a name on top of one of these - Cherri Cola.  It sounds familiar, and that isn’t a common name mind you, but I can’t place why.  That only makes this even more unusual.  These notes, I will assume, are from before my time in Sallow Hills even when the dates on these notes says otherwise, otherwise I will just continue to question the reality around me.

Reality Question is not what this segment is for.

I have found a notebook worth of notes from this Cherri dedicated to Armes E. Sallow.  Theories too mad for even me.  They ask if it could be that Armes is immortal and has been running this town for decades now.  That seems crazy even for me.  He asks if she is responsible for the dragon attacks, even though she was a huge part of the clean up effort.

But until I decode the meanings behind these notes, we’ll be moving onto the next section of the show.   Have you heard the Sallow Times has locked out Armes? …

I have sat down with your letters to me, delivered through the slap in the door by the mysterious shadow who walks by at three oh four p.m. every Friday.  This week you have many interesting things to say, and all of them focused on the bodies being investigated.  

I have three letters here asking about serial killers.  I have four asking about cults.  And I have a few who think perhaps this was just lost paperwork and nothing truly out of the ordinary.  You few, I have no words for you other than you have been brainwashed by the government and should scream at the mirror until you have broken your brainwashing.  

One note, written in a slightly shaky cursive reminiscent of World War II, has very interesting information.  Rumors, it seems, of a serial killer dating back for a while.  Patterns of disappearances.  This cursive claims it is all a numbers game.  How interesting. …

The Sallow Times - February 09

The Bodies Are Stacking Up

Sallow Times’ contacts in the morgue (Canary, Cardinal, and Cockatoo) have come to us with more information.  We have been sitting on this for a few days out of their request, as they felt like they were close to something that would change the case itself, and it seems they have.  

More bodies are being found in the morgue without any logs on their identity, date, time, or cause of death.  These workers have been doing investigations on them now, and they have sent us details of far more bodies, and they fear they will continue to find more.

The most disturbing news is that six of these bodies have been dated to have died in the same week as Tate Langdon, implying that if this was all by one person it was purposeful and calculated.   Three of these bodies have been identified as John Winchester, Jacob Kane, and Fenrir Greyback.  The remaining three bodies have yet to be identified, though the morgue is asking that people who have missing loved ones come and offer up details that may help identify them.

Another Mayor, Another Question

A second ex-mayor of Sallow Hills has been found in the unlogged bodies hidden in the morgue.  The body of Michael “Mickey” Monroe has been identified.  Cockatoo delivered the details, though cautioned us for printing the details of this one.  I can say that they were surprised to be able to identify him, given the fact that his head was caved in, fractured, and a few pieces are still missing.  

The body of Oswald Cobblepot was not as surprising, given the history they and their partner, Victor Zsasz, had in this town.  But a second Mayor being found only leads to questions that we don’t have the answers to.  Has someone been targeting the Mayors?  Who hid the bodies?  Who snuck them into the Morgue, and who killed them?  We still don’t have the answers.

Update Note: More bodies are being investigated now.  Many morgue workers are working overtime to get the public information on these bodies, and we have a contact working directly with them to get you the news as soon as it comes out.

plot drop 6.1: the news uncovered

The Sallow Times doesn’t normally print physical editions on Thursdays, but Thursday morning can find the employees of the Times as well as many volunteers distributing it.  The paper is not a full paper, but rather a few pages covering a breaking news story and the information known so far.   This printing, it is suspected, occurred in the dead of night before Armes E. Sallow could see what would be hitting the stands.

Bodies Hidden from Us - is this where our missing go? written by Stiles Stilinski. 

A whistleblower who will be further referred to as Canary has contacted me with horrifying news.  For far too long, bodies have been brought in from the woods and kept from the public’s knowledge.  We are currently investigating the identities of these bodies, and just how many have been killed, thanks to a few people who are willing to put their necks on the line for this information to get out.  The following information may be disturbing for readers, and we advise caution. 

So far three bodies have been identified.  Canary is looking for more bodies that may have been hidden from the public’s eye.  

Oswald Cobblepot and Victor Zsasz’s bodies were brought into the morgue in September of last year.  It is estimated that they died in the early days of that month and their bodies spent some time in the woods before being found and brought to the morgue.  There were signs of a fight, though this is no surprise from two residents caught in a murder plot early in their time in Sallow Hills.  Cause of death for both were said to be bullet wounds.  Records of those who may have come into the hospital with injuries from the fight have been scrubbed and are unable to be located.  

A third body was also identified, this one brought in October 2017.  After investigating, it seems the body is one of Tate Langdon.  Estimated death date is around New Years Day of that year, and cause of death seems to be multiple stab wounds across the body that led to bleeding out.  There is a note on the form that has been uncovered that a known person from his past, Violet Harmon was in town at this time, though she has since gone missing and is unable to be questioned.  Roommate of the time, Basilton Grimm-Pitch, refused to comment.

You guys remember the so-called gas explosion last year?  Well, I actually found some interesting notes in the studio today.  It should be known these notes are not in my hand writing.  There is no name on them, and I have no memory of anyone else who was working at the radio station during that time.  I do not know how these notes got to me, but they have.  I will read these notes to you as they are written:

Talked to a Shiny wizard today about the explosions down Main Street.  He doesn’t seem to think they were explosions, just like I do.  Even said there were some dragons that were woken by people in this town. The littler dragons that have invaded the town make me want to believe him. 

More digging has turned up a whisper of something.  A group of townsfolk, the ‘old guard’ if you will, that don’t seem too keen on some of these new ‘travelers’ in town.  An organized group?  A cult?  A mob?  Or just people with a power fantasy and too little time?
