Final one for today
This one is a little odder but I feel like a single parent story would be great for Jamie
Like maybe reader is a single parent and is out in the park where the child is playing alone with a football (maybe trying to do some tricks) and accidentally kicks it to far and it hits Jamie (Who maybe is jogging by) jamie brings it over and does some tricks and the kid is like omg can you show me how to do that! reader is like embarrassed but Jamie is like sure so they spend a bunch of time playing football. The kid is a fan of Richmond but tickets are expensive so Jamie invites them to a game (Free) and they get to meet the team and it becomes a regular thing
Jamie is trying to work up the nerve to ask out Reader (He has never dated someone with kids before) and he doesn't want to mess up the relationship finally the child is like please ask my parent out!
I can't wait to see what you do with these!!
Here’s another one that I’ve been sitting on forever! Finally got around to it. And in case you couldn’t tell, I freakin love Keeley Jones. I think she’s great. Enjoy!
if only love were true
Thank god that Keeley Jones is your friend and she promised you’d never have to go stag to a work function.
“Keeley,” you say over the phone, “I need you to be my date for this fancy dinner/gala/thing I have for work next Sunday. I absolutely cannot go alone.”
“Next Sunday?” she says. “Let me check my calendar.”
You wait a moment as she presumably scrolls through her phone, checking her availability.
“Sorry babes,” she says after a long moment, “I’ve got a work thing too. Otherwise I’d totally be down to go as your hot trophy date.”
You groan. “Is there any way you can get out of it? Out of all the things I’ve taken you to, this is the one I need you at the most.”
Keeley’s silent. You can tell she’s thinking. She knows why this one is important.
“Alright,” she says finally. “I can’t go, but what if I sent you with a friend of mine?” She continues loudly over your beginning protests. “He’s really sweet and fit and funny, and he owes me favors pretty much for the rest of his life. You’d have a great time I SWEAR.”
“I don’t know,” you say. “Do you think he can go along with everything? There’s a 50/50 chance it’ll be a shitshow.”
“Absolutely,” Keeley replies without hesitation. “He’s fucking great. Can be a bit of a prick sometimes, but he’s learned how to use those skills for the greater good.”
“Uh huh,” you say. “Right. I’m trusting you on this one, Keels. If he’s as good as you say, I’ll take him. But I really, really need this to be good.”
“Trust me,” she says, “You won’t regret it.”
—
Jamie Tartt arrives at your doorstep, fully briefed by Keeley as to his responsibilities.
Be a gentleman, make her laugh, don’t fucking leave her with Harry.
Keeley showed him pictures of Harry’s instagram so Jamie would know exactly who he is on the lookout for.
It’s funny and it’s weird, but he’s not uncomfortable standing at the door, waiting for some woman he doesn’t even know. He’d do anything for Keeley, well aware that if she’s asking a favor, it’s for a good cause.
This is far out of his usual realm of expertise, but he reminds himself that he’s a person outside of being a footballer. A regular person would be a blind date for a friend of a friend at an awful work function.
Right?
Jamie doesn’t have time to dwell on the normality of this situation because the door is opening and you’re standing in front of him in some long gown that he swears outshines the stars.
“Hi,” you say. “It’s nice to meet you. Sorry about this.”
You call a goodbye down the hall before shutting the door. Jamie assumes it’s to a flatmate or something, whoever the owner of the other car in the driveway is. He just smiles.
“I’ve had weirder dates,” he says. “Don’t worry about a thing, love. Tonight’s gonna be fucking mint.” He offers you his arm.
You take it and feel yourself relax. It’ll be fine.
—
It is not fine.
Harry’s there, and god help you if you don’t want to kick him where it hurts. He’s surrounded by girls, shining that far-too dazzling smile and you’re pretty sure you’re going to throw up. Your grip on Jamie’s arm tightens, and he follows your gaze to your ex-flame.
“He’s fucking old,” Jamie comments.
“Yeah, well, that’s kind of how he gets you,” you reply. “Acts all charming and smart and shit and then next thing you know, you’re in his bed. Soon as that’s over, you’re done.”
“Twat,” Jamie responds with such conviction that you chuckle a little, despite yourself. That is, until Harry sees you and sheds his little entourage as he makes his way over.
“Shit,” you whisper. “How do I look?”
“Fuckin’ gorgeous,” Jamie replies without missing a beat.
The words are barely out of his mouth when Harry is upon you, leaning in for a hug that Jamie doesn’t allow. You’re grateful for his block as he pretends he was going for a handshake. You don’t want Harry touching you and the sentiment is reinforced as he gives you a once-over and says, “Didn’t expect to see you here, darling. What, are you neglecting your duties for the evening?”
That sentence must have some hidden meaning, because your teeth are bared and it’s gone over Jamie’s head.
“My duties,” you say through clenched teeth, “include being here at this gala because we both work for the same company.”
Harry tilts his head in mock sympathy. “Yes, but if I recall your priorities have… shifted.”
Jamie might be losing circulation in his arm and he may not know exactly what is happening here, but he knows enough. Keeley told him Harry was a right git without really saying why, but he is in no need of an explanation. In fact, he thinks that “a right git,” is too much of a compliment.
Harry turns his attention toward Jamie. “Has she told you?”
Jamie doesn’t know what he’s talking about, but he’ll be damned if he lets this prick win.
“Yes,” he replies forcefully.
Harry raises his eyebrows. “Ah, and that’s not a dealbreaker?”
Jamie shakes his head.
“How…progressive of you,” Harry replies, meaning the exact opposite. “You see, I wouldn’t want someone who… well, you know.”
Jamie’s about to say, “No, I don’t know,” and also maybe punch Harry when more people come up, demanding your attention. As you both turn away, Harry calls, “Let me know when you get tired of the immaturity and need a real man. My bed is always open to you.”
Your face is bright red and you think you’re going to bolt. Jamie starts like he’s going to fight Harry and for a moment you wonder if Keeley sent him because he’s a little bit feral.
Unfortunately for Harry and fortunately for you, he spoke a bit too loudly.
You’ll find out later that he was heard by some higher-ups and removed from the premises. However, since that information is not made available to you until the next day, you spend the rest of the evening looking over your shoulder for Harry’s reappearance.
Jamie, god bless him, is a wonderful date. He goes the whole nine-yards, holding your hand, tucking your hair behind your ear, cracking jokes with you and others at your table. He’s making you look good, and feel relaxed in the process. By the end of the night you’re feeling confident and have made a good impression on several people on the board.
You have new opportunities at your disposal, as well as a potential promotion. You put a reminder in your phone to send Keeley some daisies as a thank-you. You’ll send something for Jamie as well.
—
He walks you to your door, ever the gentleman. You thank him profusely for the night, and tell him you’ll be rooting for him next time Richmond has a match. He grins. “You a fan?” he asks.
You laugh. “Yeah, I am. Used to go to every match till… well, I just don’t get out much anymore.”
Jamie grins. “We’ll have to change that, darling.”
Darling.
He says it so differently than Harry. It’s all… bubbly. Not condescending, not designed to make you feel small.
“Good night, Jamie,” you say.
—
You don’t really expect to see (or hear from) Jamie again, except you do. Because he’s texting you.
The content varies, from messages passed on from Keeley to gifs to memes to weird little stories from training. You think you’d like his coaches, even Roy. It already felt like you knew them from all their interviews that you’ve seen, but hearing the behind-the-scenes snippets solidifies the feeling even more. Your chatting is regulated to the early morning and your lunch breaks, as you’re not much of an evening person anymore.
Jamie doesn’t seem to mind, he’s up early to do extra training with Roy and you’re up early to prepare for the day. You enjoy hearing from him at 6am on the dot every morning.
Saturdays are nice, because you don’t have work. Keeley comes over sometimes, but today you’re on the Richmond Green. You’re sitting on a bench, watching a boy kick a small football. You’re so completely absorbed in the way he’s running back and forth that you are startled when a shadow casts over your face.
“Fancy seeing you here,” says a distinctly Mancunian voice.
“Jamie!” you exclaim. “What’re you doing here?”
Jamie points to his trainers. “Going for a quick run. Roy’s out of town, but he still makes me take laps. Fucking mental.” He shakes his head. “What are you doing here?”
You open your mouth to reply when the boy with the tiny football comes flying over. “Are you Jamie Tartt?” he asks.
Jamie crouches to his level. “I am. What’s your name, mate?”
“Liam!” he replies. “I have a football like you!”
Jamie smiles. “Good lad. Keep up with the practice, and you’ll be better than me someday.”
Liam’s bouncing up and down, so excited that he throws his ball in the air. Jamie catches it and does a trick. At this point Liam is completely enamored with Jamie, and you are as well. He’s giving this kid his complete attention, making his whole day. Anyone else would have just shooed him off, but not Jamie.
He’s good with kids, your brain yells.
You tell your brain to shut up.
Jamie tosses the ball back to Liam. “Where’s your mum?” he asks. “Might have tickets to a match for you.”
Liam points. Jamie turns to look behind the bench where you’re sitting, as that’s where Liam is pointing. There’s no one.
“Which one?” he asks, turning back to Liam.
“Me,” you say. “I’m his mum.”
Liam climbs into your lap and holds your face in his tiny hands. “Mum, Jamie Tartt says we can go to a match!” he says.
You laugh. “Don’t get your hopes up, love, Jamie hasn’t made any promises.”
Liam settles into your lap, facing Jamie. He can’t see your face or the pleading look you’re giving Jamie.
Please don’t mess this up, you try to say with your eyes. Jamie must get the message because he keeps smiling and asks Liam if he wants to kick the ball around for a bit. You watch them go, dreading the imminent conversation.
—
Liam’s asleep in his little Richmond pajamas. He loves football, and you watch every single match the Greyhounds play. Tickets are expensive, and you promised you’d take him to a real game one day. Truth is, you aren’t sure when that will be. It’s not easy being a single mum, but as you watch Liam’s sleeping face, you know you wouldn’t trade him for anything.
You sigh and get out of the rocking chair. Might as well call Jamie and get it over with.
Please pick up, you pray, and he does; you’re in the dim kitchen lights, poking at a cup of tea.
“Hey!” comes Jamie’s surprised voice. “You alright? Need anything?”
You shake your head even though he can’t see. “No, I wanted to talk about today. And Liam. Harry’s his dad.”
“Figured,” Jamie replies. “Made his comments at the gala make more fucking sense.”
“Yeah,” you say. Harry is a fucking prick. “Harry… he doesn’t have any custody. He’s not allowed near Liam. He also doesn’t pay child support. Or want a child. Or anything, really. He just wants to fuck around and do what he wants with no consequences. I should’ve known better honestly, I’m not even one to go around like that. Figures the one time I do it ends up like this. Not that I’m complaining,” you continue, “Liam is the best part of my life. It’s just hard when I keep losing people because they don’t want him too. Keeley’s the only one who stuck around. Did you know she’s a surprisingly great babysitter? Even kicks around a football in the yard with him.”
Jamie makes a surprised noise. It’s hard to picture Keeley in that exact situation, but not hard to imagine her doing anything that her friends needed.
“Anyway,” you continue, “I get if this makes things weird. You don’t have to get us tickets to the match. Liam’s still pretty little anyway… always taking bathroom breaks and needing snacks.”
“The owner’s box would be perfect,” Jamie blurts.
That isn’t the reply you were expecting, so you’re silent for a moment as he continues, “I mean… It’s easy to get in and out of, Rebecca’s got a fridge and a restroom…People bring their kids all the time. He’d love it. I’d love it,” he finishes.
You’re not sure. This is the longest anyone has ever stuck around when it comes to Liam, and you don’t really want to go to jail for murder if Jamie breaks his heart. All he could talk about for the rest of the day was how Jamie Tartt played football with him. Isaac McAdoo is is number one favorite, but you think Jamie is now a close second.
“Alright,” you say finally. “We’ll be there.”
—
It’s past Liam’s bedtime, like way past, and he’s asleep with his head on your shoulder. Your arms are tired from holding him and your throat is sore from screaming at the Richmond match. Jamie was right, Liam loved it. He wore his McAdoo jersey and got to meet the whole team before the game. You have a picture of him on Isaac’s shoulders, smiling so big. It’s weird to think that he probably won’t remember any of this when he’s older.
You’re waiting in a lobby of some kind for Jamie to come out. You’re leaning against a wall, feeling Liam’s steady breathing as he dreams.
Meanwhile, Jamie’s in the locker room, freaking out.
“Coach,” he says, wearing a hole in the floor, “how do you ask out a girl who’s got a kid?”
“Well Jamie-” Ted says.
“Are there some kind of rules I’m supposed to follow?” Jamie continues, oblivious. “I mean, what the fuck am I supposed to say?”
“I think-” Ted tries again.
“Nah fuck it, I’m just going to ask,” Jamie says.
Ted grins. “That sounds like a good plan, son.”
Jamie smiles back. “Thanks, coach. You always have the best advice.”
Ted shakes his head, still smiling as Jamie leaves the locker room.
—
Jamie rounds the corner to find you half-asleep against a wall near some trophy case, with Liam breathing out tiny snores. He swears that he’s never seen anything more beautiful, and it freaks him out for a moment. It’s…domestic in a way he didn’t ever expect his life to be.
He shakes off the weirdness and walks over.
“Hi,” he says, unable to contain a smile. “D’you want me to hold him for you?”
“That would actually be amazing,” you reply. “My arms are killing me.”
The sight of Liam asleep in Jamie’s arms is enough to make your brain go oh shit. Because, oh. Shit. This boy is going to break your heart if you’re not careful.
“How’d you like the game?” Jamie asks as you begin to walk to the car park.
“I loved it,” you reply sincerely. “Haven’t actually been to a match since this one.” You pat Liam’s back affectionately. “Kid had a great time too. Talked about meeting Isaac McAdoo the entire match. He’s like some football aficionado in a four-year-old’s body, swear down.”
Jamie’s still smiling as he helps you get Liam into his car seat. “What’re you doing the rest of the night?”
You laugh. “Oh god, I wish I could say going to sleep. But I have to meal prep for the week while Liam’s asleep. Otherwise he gets his sticky fingers in everything. Gonna take a solid two hours, at least.”
Jamie hesitates. It’s now or never. “Could I come over?” he asks. “Can’t cook for shit, but I could keep you company.”
You pause. “Jamie- I don’t know if that’s a good idea.”
But god, you want it so bad.
“I’m being serious,” Jamie says. “Not trying to mess with you. I like you. Think you’re fucking fit. I like being around you and I liked kicking the football around with Liam. He’s a good lad. I think it’s worth giving a try.”
You look at Liam. He’s still fast asleep, oblivious to his mum’s turmoil.
“Alright,” you say, still not looking at Jamie. “Let’s give it a try.”
Jamie grins and ghosts his thumb across your cheek, making you look at him.
“I’m going to kiss you now,” he says. “So now’s your moment to tell me to fuck off.”
You smile. “Can’t say that in front of Liam anyway,” you say as you crash your lips into his.

look at me! look at me!
a/n: @sanccharine apologies for the late fic... 🧍♀️ but it's done and it's fluffy!! everyone say yay!! happy late birthday, my friend ❤️
tw: alcohol consumption, paladin schemes, poor taste in party games
related fics: sorry for party rockin'!, we're never getting back together (like ever?)
♡ Masterlist ♡
summary: you invite chou tzuyu, a girl you know nothing yet everything about, over for a quiet night of studying. things don't go to plan as you're invited to a party and forced to reveal your feelings for each other in a not-so-glamorous way.
You usually don't have time for parties. With classes, hobbies, and friends in the mix, you're squeezed for time on a regular basis. Although you try to find time to go out and have fun, life usually has other plans for you.
So here you are, 6 p.m. on a Saturday, doing homework for a class.
What a life.
Your phone rings with a familiar tone. You didn't have one set for most of your contacts except the Paladins, your family, and Chou Tzuyu.
Since the sound emanating from your phone is one of Hongjoong's mixtapes that he sent to you, you know exactly who's calling you.
"Hey, Tzuyu," You answer the phone before pausing your typing at your computer, "what's up?"
"Do you mind if I come over and study? There's so much noise at the house, I can't concentrate-"
"No problem," You answer quickly, albeit a bit too quickly for friendly chatter, "You need a ride?"
"Yeah, that'd be great. Are you sending an Uber?"
"Nah, I'll ask Katie. She won't mind." You pull the phone away from your ear after turning on speaker mode.
Although Katie was the affectionate boomer hater, she'd gladly bend over backward to please you. You often wished that she'd take care of herself as well as she took care of you... but you didn't mind using your "Katie's Favorite Paladin" privileges every now and again.
You hear Tzuyu sigh as something in the background hits a wall and shatters.
"I'll be there in fifteen minutes. See you then."
Ever the punctual woman, Tzuyu ends the phone call before you can engage in any friendly chatter. You wonder if you'd even call yourself friends - sure, you two hang out a lot, but all you talk about is classes, homework, or your friends' stupid antics.
You want to know more about her - who is Chou Tzuyu, really?
And why do you have a crush on her?
~
"Thanks for letting me study here tonight. If I had to mediate another fight, I would've lost it." Tzuyu mumbles as she unloads her stationary onto your desk.
You grab a chair from another room before moving your shit to the side. She offers you a smile before opening her laptop as you sit down and start to work on your own things.
"Hey, you two need anything?" Katie peeks into the room as you two look up at her.
"I'm good, thanks." Tzuyu says as you nod.
"Since you pre-made some snacks for us, I'm alright."
"You didn't have to-"
"No, it's no trouble, Dami called me earlier and I've been making food since. I trust that you two will leave some leftovers." Katie pushes away Tzuyu's concern before grabbing a set of car keys. "If you two change your mind, the party's only a block away. Feel free to walk over and join the rest of human civilization."
With that, Katie heads out of the apartment, leaving you and Tzuyu to your own devices.
~
"Do you want to order a pizza or something?" You ask as you close your computer.
Katie's pre-made snacks are now nothing but crumbs - perhaps you can shoulder the blame to King again?
Yet again, Katie and Tzuyu were friends, so she'd hopefully let it slide.
"I'm full, thanks." As always, she doesn't offer any friendly chatter.
Tzuyu quietly packs up her things, but she doesn't make any effort to leave the apartment. Neither do you, but you can't find the words to say in order to engage in any meaningful conversation.
"Are you in the mood for some hell-raising?" You ask as you grab your phone. "I don't know if parties are your style, but the Paladins make them fun for everyone."
"I'll go if you do." She softly says as you grab your jacket.
"Let's get going, then."
(You really need to work on your conversational skills.)
~
The party was already hectic when the two of you arrived. People were already drunk (people being two of the three older Paladins - at least Neon had his shit together).
"I thought this was supposed to be 'an intimate gathering among friends'?" Tzuyu quips as she leans against the door.
"Word gets out fast, I guess." You shrug before making your way towards the kitchen. "Katie?"
"In here!" She yells over the buzz of the crowd as the two of you file into the kitchen. "I'm a bit busy, but I'm glad you could make it. Feel free to mingle if you two would like. Oh, and could you two keep an eye on King and Sparrow for me?"
"I thought that was Neon's job?" You ask as Katie scoffs.
"First off, he's terrible at that job because he usually gets drunk with them. Second, he and Siyeon went to get more booze," Katie smiles to herself before adding, "I'll have to thank Ryujjn later for hiding the rest of the booze."
"You're such a little shit-"
"-I prefer the term matchmaker, thank you very much." Katie corrects you. "Now go find the other boomers before they fuck up my plan."
"You have a plan?" Tzuyu tilts her head as Katie laughs.
"Oh, I always have a plan."
~
"Because I'd rather not have to get infected by a parasite to get your attention. Being bitten by a vampire sounds less painful." Tzuyu says before you cough into your drink.
After hustling the crowd for a little bit of money, since you know how drunk Sparrow and King can get, Katie invites the gawking crowd to play another game.
"How about we play Spin the Bottle?"
It was a terrible idea, really, since tempers had already been flaring a bit. But what was wrong with a little more chaos?
You had joined the small crowd that was headed towards another part of the living room. You noticed some familiar faces - Katie, Jinsoul, Dami, Ryujin, and Heejin, among others - but Tzuyu hung back from the crowd.
"Come on over and observe the chaos. You don't have to play." You mouth to her as you make eye-contact with her.
"Are you sure that you don't mind me watching?" She says as you nod to her.
She walks over as people start to make another circle - this one is more messy, but you take a seat in between Katie and Ryujin.
Katie takes the bottle and slides it towards Jinsoul on the other side of the circle.
"You should go first since you didn't get to play Truth or Drink." Katie smiles at Jinsoul, who eagerly grabs the bottle from the floor.
"Let's make this party interesting." She spins the bottle as Tzuyu takes a seat behind the seated circle.
You find yourself holding your breath as you watch the bottle spin around and around on the floor. Nervousness develops in your stomach - not because you're nervous about kissing one of the girls, but you're more nervous about kissing a girl in front of Tzuyu.
You weren't sure exactly what the two of you were - friends? in the talking stage? two acquaintances? study buddies? somewhere in-between?
But she always made time to see you. Between her extracurriculars and the hefty class schedule, Tzuyu had little time to spare. You didn't fail to notice that she didn't have homework to work on when you agreed to study together. You'd even catch her staring at you sometimes, when she didn't catch you first.
You never called each other friends or anything more, but you want to know more about Chou Tzuyu. What were you doing together when you didn't even know what you were to each other?
You're playing with fire when you talk to Tzuyu. You fall deeper for her, unsure if she feels the same way.
Now, as the bottle slows down, it feels like the flames are burning you alive.
But you're lucky as it lands on Heejin, who happily accepts a cheek kiss from her friend.
This was a truly terrible idea, you think to yourself, as Heejin grabs the bottle and spins it.
Maybe you'll make it out of this without ruining whatever you have with Tzuyu, or without embarrassing yourself.
~
Of course, nothing was ever that simple.
Heejin's spin landed on Yeji, who drunkenly chased the former around until a kiss was successfully planted on Heejin's forehead.
Yeji, after three failed attempts, managed to spin the bottle enough for it to land on Ryujin. Cheers erupted as the first lip-to-lip contact was made.
Then the drama starts as Ryujin spins the bottle and it lands to your right.
The neck of the bottle points directly at Katie, who stares in shock before leaning over to look at Ryujin.
You feel like you're in-between something serious as Dami, on the other side of the circle, looks on with curiosity.
Ryujin moves to the side before pulling Katie close. The two share a quick kiss before returning to their spots. Katie takes the bottle in her hands, but she quickly shakes her head and hands it back to Ryujin.
"You should go again. It's only fair since you didn't get to play earlier." Katie says as Ryujin nods in agreement.
"Sounds good to me." Ryujin spins the bottle as Katie nervously bites her lip while staring at a single spot on the floor.
You offer her a sympathetic pat on the back that helps relax her a bit.
Katie sighs in relief before muttering, "I knew things were going to get tense, but I was hoping that I would be outside of the drama."
You smile to yourself as the shenanigan-making Paladin gets bitten in the ass by a product of her own design.
"You shouldn't have played with fire if you didn't want to get burned." You tease as she scoffs.
"That's why I wanted to sit next to Ryujin. The bottle never lands on the person next to the spinner." She says as the bottle Ryujin spins on lands on you.
"I wish the situational irony was less subtle." You grumble as Katie offers you a quick side hug.
"You shouldn't have played with fire if you didn't want to get burned~"
"Very funny." You roll your eyes as you face Ryujin.
"I get to kiss two Paladins in one night? I should buy a lottery ticket or something." Ryujin smirks before leaning in to kiss you.
You nervously bite your lip before starting to lean in - Tzuyu won't mind, right? It's just a silly children's game.
One that could ruin any chance of you two being more than friends.
Luckily, your lips never meet Ryujin's as Tzuyu hauls you off of your feet and drags you into the kitchen.
"Wait a minute-" You try to protest, but her grip on the back of your shirt is ironclad as she pulls you away from any prying eyes.
A few mutters ring out from the group your left behind, but screams quickly take over as another victim is selected.
"What was that about?" You say as Tzuyu lets go of your shirt.
"I didn't want you to kiss Ryujin."
"Yeah, I figured that one out when you hauled me away from her in a hurry. It's almost like you're the one who wanted to kiss me." You joke, just as you always do with all of your friends.
She looks away from you, towards the window that faces the street.
She's deadly serious.
You feel like a total jerk.
Tzuyu navigates towards the door with disappointment on her face as you trial after her.
"Wait, hold on, I didn't think you seriously liked me-"
"-of course I did! Why else do you think I want to hang out with you and do homework? I don't even have homework half of the time!" She sounds exasperated as she pauses her stride to glance at you.
"I wasn't really sure if we were friends or if you wanted to be more." You offer her your hand, and she takes it. "I'm sorry if I gave mixed signals or if I pushed you away from me. I didn't mean to, at all."
"I'm sorry, too. I didn't mean to pull you away from your friends. I just didn't want you kissing any other girl at this party.." She trails off before you encouragingly squeeze her hand.
"-besides you?" You smile at her. "Don't worry, you're the only one I've thought about kissing all night."
You lean forward and kiss her cheek. Tzuyu offers you a wide smile, one that you've rarely seen.
It's enough to tempt you closer as you pull back and go for her lips this time.
Unfortunately, your bliss is short-lived as Sparrow slams the door open. You and Tzuyu immediately part - she's red in the face as you're trying to wipe her lipstick off your face.
"King got mud on my shoes, that motherfucker!" She screams, completely unaware to your presence. "NEOOOOON!"
She hollers for the oldest Paladin before stumbling into the living room as a mud-clad King walks into the house.
"Have I ever told you about the one time-" He says to absolutely no one before wandering into the kitchen.
Kim Lip follows closely behind, throwing you a wink before shoving King into the kitchen to give you two some privacy.
"Your friends are something, but mine aren't much better." Tzuyu laughs before sliding in next to you. "Shall we rejoin the party?"
"Yeah, otherwise Katie will be making up all sorts of lies about me." You mutter.
"C'mon, lovebirds, join the fun! We swapped games, and Twister's getting pretty intense!" Katie yells as the crowd screams in unison before someone falls to the ground.
It's never uneventful around her, but you don't mind having a slice of normalcy with Tzuyu. Especially since she's holding your hand and kissing your face every once in a while.
Hopefully, the blackmail isn't as bad as what you have on the other Paladins.

1 + 1 = S2
Loud music could be heard from both rooms in the house. Your neighbours have probably grown accostumed to such thing, it meant it was going out night. Part of them was relieved it wasn't another noisy game night, which are pretty frequent as well.
You were seated on the floor, redoing your ponytails for the 3rd time. Your arms were on fire but you were committed to this look.
"Siri, call yuyu please."
"Calling yuyu."
.....
"Hello ? Y/n ?"
"Hiii just wanted to ask where you are."
"We're almost ready to leave the house. You guys ?"
"I'm almost done if my hair cooperates with me. Wooyoung is most likely waiting for me. I'm surprised he hasn't barged in my room yet."
"Try not to be late!"
"AS IF!!"
"Don't give me attitude missy. Now I'm gonna get the car started, I'll see you in a bit. Bye"
"Bye Bye, don't miss me!"
.....
After 10 more minutes you were finally done. One last look in the mirror and all that work paid off. The boots made your legs look longer and your mini skirt complemented the cropped shirt well. You grabbed your purse and headed to the leaving room where a very impacient Wooyoung awaited you.
"What took you so long ?"
"It takes time to look this good you know?"
"Pleeeease!!"
"Don't roll your eyes at me wooyoung I'll hit you."
"And I'd like it so who's really winning?"
He gave you his signature smirk and winked at you from the couch.
"EW. Let's go. The others already left."
The club was pretty crowded, expected for a friday night, but you weren't scared to get lost. You like to get loose. And it's not like you don't have 8 guys that are constantly keeping an eye on you.
"Don't run off on us again for the love of god."
"Seonghwa for your own sake if I stay none of yall are pulling anyone. Same applies to me."
"Why do you want to get with anyone ?"
"Wouldn't you like to know! I'm off, if you need me yell."
You made your way t the dance floor before he opened his mouth.
"BUT YOU WON'T HEAR IT!!"
"YEAH THAT'S THE POINT!!"
Since it was a 2000s night you were more than happy to have traded your comfortable apartment for the hell. It has it's perks.
You had no idea but someone was drilling holes in your head, Wooyoung was exceptionally bothered by how you left them behind.
"How can she just leave ?"
"Cause she can ?? What are you on about, chill she's not your girl."
Mingi's words were harsher than what met the eye. Sure you weren't dating but he can't lie that the though of some other guy touching you infuriated him. He kept denying his feelings and that maybe this was just him wanting to protect his friend. But Yunho smiled to himself when he saw Wooyoungs furrowed eyebrows.
"You should just tell her how you feel you know?"
"What feelings? It's just unfair we're her friends and she doesn't care."
"And you care too much for "just a friend" don't you think? Listen she can take care of herself she's always been this way, you get used t it."
Yunho tried to relax him but it just made Wooyoung get int his head. Maybe he should've stayed home. No, he couldn't possibly let you out of the house by yourself looking like that.
Meanwhile you were having the time of your life, you had met a group of girls that were on their bacherolette party. It's like you knew them all your life, screaming all the songs, taking pictures, clinking drinks. Girlhood.
You decided to go get another drink and since no one else wanted anything you went alone. Normally this would mean getting approached by a couple of random guys trying to smooth talk you and al of them failling to do so. But unlike other times, the voice behind you was familiar.
"So. Are you having fun ?"
"Oh my god Yunho, I am those girls are so fun. Did you know that the bride and groom met through mutual friends and they actually lived together for a while before he realised he had feelings for her?? How CUTE is that??"
He couldn't help but smile due to the resemblances.
"Yeah it's really sweet. I guess you really never know when love is ready to knock at your door. But what about you, have you gone maneater on anyone?"
"I kinda don't care honestly, I'm having a good time and that's all I care about."
"That's my girl. Now be sure to behave. If you need us, we're at the booth.
He kissed your cheek before disappearing into the sea of people.
You looked at the time, 5:23am. Time to call it a night. You sayed goodbye to the group of girls that accompanied you through the night and wished them all the best. Making your way up to the booths you realised you were a lot more under the influence than you thought. You didn't really care, it's almost the end of the night and the guys are more then used to this side of yours.
Once they saw you they cheered and clapped, you bowed like a princess and smiled at their unnecessary but appreaciated "welcome back".
"How many fishes did you catch sailor?" Mingi gave you another shot he had brought upstairs.
"A THOUSAND" You yelled and chugged the green liquid. "I'm kidding 0, there's no cute guys here."
You sat down next a very pouty Wooyoung.
"What's up with you? What happened to my loud and energetic comrade?"
He gave you no answer, just his cold gaze.
"Damn are you really that upset that I didn't stick around? I thought you were used to it by now."
He got up and made his way to the balcony. There's no way he's throwing a tantrum for something so stupid, you thought to yourself. You followed his angry steps.
"Be so fucking serious Wooyoung? What the fuck?"
He turned to you and you could see there wasn't a hint of alchool in his system. This wasn't one of his drunk stunts that he pulled when he wanted a tad bit more of attention. He was actually upset.
"Okay, I'm sorry I'm being so agressive, just talk to me woo, please."
"I don't like you running off on us that's all."
"That's not all Wooyoung, we've never been mad at eachother and it's not gonna start now."
You got closer to him holding his hands and caressing them. You were giving him your most sincere eyes and he couldn't believe that he was about to kiss you.
It caught you by surprise, so much so you froze in the first few seconds, not knowing if this was a dream or reality. You decide to give in nonetheless. His hands soft, like you remembered from all the times he touched your skin in times of need. Heartbreaks, cramps, tickles, you name it. He was always there for you.
Yunho sipped his drink with a victorious grin, as he watched from the inside. He looked at the rest of the guys and let out a "I told you so."

Thursday, October 24th 1985
The Hellfire Club put up with a lot of bullshit during their relatively short lives--bullying, mockery, cheese pizza farts on late night rides home in the van--but none of them were quite as challenging as the insane stunts of their beloved leader: Eddie Munson
Or, as he was more appropriately known on this, the Thursday before Halloween, Satan.
They'd been minding their own business waiting for him to join them at lunch. Dave and Mike chatted about their characters' stats and Jeff pushed meatloaf and mashed potatoes around his tray. Then Eddie appeared at the door of the cafeteria, fully embracing his alleged devil worship with a bright, red, nylon cape with a propped collar that kept hitting him in the face and a headband with plastic horns on top of his head.
"You've gotta be fucking kidding," Gareth cursed as Eddie cast his arms out with a flourish and caught the attention of the entire student body.
Whether they were in awe or fear or simply annoyed was another story.
The boys were all used to Eddie's antics, though. The freshmen giggled while their older friends--Eddie's bandmates--groaned collectively.
"Twas the week before Halloween," Eddie bellowed, his voice echoing across the room. "And all through Hawkins High...all the sick freaks were stirring, waiting for their beloved celebration to arrive!"
"Sick freak is right," came a snicker from the peanut gallery.
"Shut up, Munson!" Another jest.
Eddie stuck his tongue out at them, and then threw his arms down; with another flourish of his cape, he crossed the cafeteria and dropped into his usual seat at the head of the table.
"Can't ever have any fun in this dumb, bible humping town," he grumbled. "This is our holiday. Don't you think that would mean something to these stick in the mud types?"
The guys all nodded along as he went on a very in-character rant for him, one about parties and keg stands and popular kids and cheerleaders in skimpy costumes.
"Well," he snorted and then leaned back in his chair, "I guess I have nothing to complain about that one. Lust is one of the deadly sins after all."
"Deadly sins?" Dustin squeaked from his seat, his eyes wide with nervousness. "Sounds...deadly."
The cackle that Eddie let out could only be described as evil.
"Mom not making you say your prayers before bed, Dusty?" he asked, leaning closer to his young friend with a predatory grin.
"Gross, your cape is in my lunch," Dave groaned.
The Dungeon Master looked down and grimaced at the clumpy cafeteria gravy that now-stained his costume.
"The Deadly Sins," he bit out, gracing his friends with an explanation, "are behaviors that take you right to hell. Greed, Envy, Pride, Sloth, Lust, Wrath...Gluttony."
He shot Dave a pointed stare, earning two middle fingers from the implied glutton.
"So if you're greedy, you go straight to hell?" Dustin questioned. "That's it? You don't have to kill anyone? That seems like an overreaction."
"Well, Mr. Judgey," Eddie responded with a sardonic smile, "maybe if you live a life full of said greed, you'll be irredeemable. Maybe it'll take you down an even more sinful path. Maybe the man upstairs gives you some sudden consequence that leads you back onto the path of goodness."
"The point is it's hard not to do them," Jeff interjected finally to ease the younger boy's worries, then snapped his head back towards Eddie. "Was that hard?"
Eddie tsked and shook his head disapprovingly, "gotta watch that wrath, Jeff."
"I'm not worried."
"Ah!" Eddie jumped to his feet and pointed at each of his friends. "But there's one week left until Halloween. Mischief is afoot, so whether or not you're worried about the Deadly Sins, they might still find you."
"Is that a promise?" Jeff asked.
"It very well might be," Eddie warned, and then abandoned his spot to run back out of the cafeteria, cackling, "Happy Halloween to all, and to all a good blight."

this is us - ksj
✨ title: this is us - an alternate timeline
✨ pairing: jin x f!reader
✨ word count: 1.1k | ✨ rating: pg-13
✨ genre/au: fluff, romance ✨ warnings: kiss
✨ a/n: hi everyone! it’s been a while since i’ve revisited this story, and who else could give me inspiration atm besides jin (hehe). so this takes places two years after oc + jk’s breakup. just wanted to dabble in things that could’ve happened if oc didn’t go to LA! i’m also throwing around ideas for yoongi too, so be on the lookout for it. enjoy my friends.
“Who would've thought? Our best friends becoming best friends?” Yuna says before darting off to tuck Indie in bed.
You and Jin give each other a look before laughing off her words.
Two years ago, you wouldn't have dreamed of being close friends with Jin, but losing the love of your life pushes you closer to others when you need it most.
After Jungkook left, Jin kept a close eye on you, inviting you to hang out for game nights or when he wanted to try out a new recipe, you were a casualty to his delicious food.
He’s always made an effort to make you laugh and keep things light, and it's something you've been missing for a long time. Being with Jin is easy because he doesn't expect anything of you. Let's you be, but is always there to pick you right back up if you go astray.
“I can't believe another year has passed by already. How do we make time stop?” You ask, picking up an empty champagne flute, bringing it into the kitchen.
“Hm, maybe I can come up with an invention that'll keep me looking Worldwide Handsome forever. Whattya think?” Jin purses his lips and raises a brow.
“I don't think you'll never not be Worldwide Handsome. We'll just need an invention to keep me from becoming an old lady,” you chuckle, rubbing your hand. The numbing sensation in your nerves hasn't gone away. You blame the endless amount of sitting in front of your laptop, trying to write the next episode of your new show.
Jin puts down a party hat, taking your hand in his. He rubs the palm of your hand, trying to soothe the pain. “Still numb?”
You hiss when he hits a certain spot, trying to pull away, but he doesn't let you. “Yeah, only when you're around and stress me out.”
“To be fair, I’m only around because I don’t want your death on my hands. Can’t have you go dying on me. I’d never hear the end of it from Yuna,” he says.
Your eyes fall on his thumb softly circling the palm of your hand. Heart’s racing, pulsating harder than normal. His brows are furrowed, concentrated on removing the numbing that’s causing your current pain.
“Does it feel better?” he asks, eyes flicking to yours then back at your hand.
Yeah, it does. It feels better when Jin’s around, tending to you, but you also feel guilty because he’s always worried about you. Who worries about him?
“Egg Puff—hello—are you listening?”
You huff when you hear him calling you egg puff. “Can you please call me anything but ‘egg puff’? I hate that nickname. But yeah, it’s feeling better now,” you answer, removing your hand from his grasp.
Jin laughs. “Not my fault all you eat are egg puffs, and by the way, you’re welcome for making you feel better.”
You point your finger at the handsome man. “Egg puff waffles are delicious and I’m helping the sweet woman by bringing her business.”
“Every day though? That’s a lot of carbs.”
“You’re one to talk with all the….the…” What the hell has he been eating everyday? “With all the jajangmeyon you’ve been scarfing down!”
“Aye—stop with all this bickering and just kiss already,” Taehyung says, creeping up behind you with Hyunie trailing behind.
You roll your eyes at your friend’s husband. You love Taehyung, you do, but sometimes he deserves a good strangle.
“It’s almost midnight!” Hyunie squeals along with light claps. “Who are you gonna kiss?”
You stare blankly at your friend. Kissing on New Years is such a dumb tradition. “No one—like I have been doing for the past two years. This year isn’t going to change,” you reply.
“Ugh—you’re no fun! Come on,” Hyunie comments, then leans in to whisper, “It’s just a measly kiss. Besides, sometimes you have to kiss your friends just to relieve all that sexual tension—make sure it really does mean nothing.”
It's just a kiss, right? You're friends with Jin, that's all. It’s a meaningless kiss on New Year's.
Jin gives you a look and shrugs. “It’s up to you.”
“Promise you won't fall in love with me?” You ask.
Jin snorts. “Can't make any promises.”
You gasp, smacking his chest. “Okay, yeah, no kissing.”
“You'll get bad luck for five years if you don't,” Hyunie yells toward you.
“Yeah! It happened to me once,” Taehyung affirms.
You roll your eyes at the two insane lovebirds. Know they're lying just so the two of you will kiss. “Well, I already have bad luck. What's five more?”
“Just say you're a bad kisser and I'll find someone else to kiss before the New Year. I don't want bad luck.”
“I'm not a bad kisser!”
Jin shrugs. “Guess I'll never know.”
“Kiss him. Kiss him,” both Hyunie and Tae begin taunting the pair of you.
You huff, looking up at the handsome man. “If you use tongue, I will cut it off!”
Jin raises his hands up in defense. “No tongue. I promise. I don't do that until the 5th date or so,” he teases.
“This kiss means nothing. Just lips on lips!”
“Damn, you're kinda harsh. Kinda don't wanna kiss you now.”
The hushed crowd that's still around begins to countdown.
“Now I gotta find someone else to kiss before I get bad luck!” Jin exclaims, looking around to see who’s free.
“You know they're just lies, right?”
“Easy for you to say! You already have bad luck. I don't want it.”
Six, five, four….
“Why are you so easily swayed by Hyunie and Tae anyway?”
“I'm not! I don't understand why you just won't kiss me. It's just a dumb kiss.”
Three, two….
“Friends just can't go around kissing friends. That's now how it works!”
One…
And before you know it, Jin's pillowy lips are on yours.
Everyone's cheering with greetings of Happy New Year, but you're only focused on his fresh, clean scent invading your space. His lips capture yours once again before he slowly pulls away. Eyes are still closed. Noses brushing against each other. His breath is still warm.
You're lingering far too long. Not wanting to let the moment go.
It's just a dumb kiss, you remind yourself.
Kim Seokjin is nothing more than a friend. Someone who has seen the ins and outs of your happiness and heartbreak. Someone who has kept you smiling and laughing for the last two years. Someone who expects nothing but for you to be yourself. There's no judgment from him, far from it.
But you have to admit, what if he was your date for Yuna’s wedding? What if you had gone out with him instead? You'll never know the outcome if that timeline continued instead of the one you journeyed through with Jungkook, so you shouldn't toy with those ideas.
“You're not falling in love with me, are you?” Jin breaks the lingering moment between you.
“In your dreams.”

Blood Moon Ch.1
Pairing: Syverson x Annalisa Caulfield (OFC)
Warnings: *waves vaguely*
I'm not labeling word counts anymore, not for multi-chap
The bar was decently packed for a Saturday night but Sy was by himself, nursing a beer at the end of the bar, half paying attention to the game on the TV. He was drinking slowly enough to where he didn't risk even getting tipsy, so driving home wouldn't be an issue. Whenever that happened.
The bartender and all the servers knew him by name, but only because he's been going there since he turned 21 and always made sure to tip well.
"Sure I can't get you something to eat, sweety?" A server asked, appearing at his elbow.
"I'm good, doll, but thank you." He said, giving her a small smile.
"Okay, well let me know if you change your mind and I'll get it started for you." She said and he gave her a nod. With that, she walked away to pay attention to her section, leaving him with his beer. With a sigh, he rolled the bottle back and forth between his palms and resisted a sneeze when a scent hit his nose. Cucumber melon. Damn, he hated that smell. Hated it in high school when every girl slathered it on, flooding the hallways with it like a bio weapon.
“Kyle?” Closing his eyes briefly, he let out another sigh. Only family and one other person called him that, and she wasn't family.
“Hey, Tiff.” He said, turning on his stool to see his ex standing there.
“What're you doing here?”
“It's a bar. I'm having a beer.” Any anger he would have felt at seeing her had faded a long time ago, but she just wouldn't leave it, and him, alone.
“By yourself?” She snorted.
“None of your business.”
“I'm surprised you're not here with some skank.”
“I never cheated on you, Tiffany, not once. Not even after you banged every guy you could while I was deployed.”
“I was lonely, Kyle.”
“And I was gettin' shot at, Tiffany.” He said, “Whatever, it don't matter anymore.”
“It's not my fault you—”
“Oh my god, baby, I'm so sorry!” He heard and looked over just in time for a woman to throw her arms around his neck. “Play along.” She whispered in his ear. “I'm so sorry I'm late! Traffic was horrible!”
“I-It's okay.” He stammered as she pulled away, looking into convincingly apologetic eyes the color of the water off Corpus Christi on a summers day. “I'm just glad you got here safe.”
“Uh, excuse me?” Tiffany asked, “Who're you?”
“Annalisa.” She said, looking at her. “And you are?”
“Tiffany. Kyle's ex.”
“Weird, he never mentioned you.” She said simply, “Well, I'm his current and you are interrupting date night. Even though I was late to it. Sorry!”
“It's fine, babe.” Sy said, placing a hand at her low back, her dark flannel warm under his palm. Thick, rich dark hair was braided over her shoulder haphazardly almost like it had been an afterthought, and she had smelled like cedar and sage when she hugged him.
“Well, I've never heard of you.” Tiffany said, crossing her arms over her stomach.
“Well, I don't update my exes on my personal life. Can't imagine why he would.” Annalisa said, “But again, you're interrupting. So if you could please.” She made a shooing gesture and Tiffany scoffed.
“Listen, bitch, you—” Annalisa suddenly stepped towards her, her back to Sy and Tiffany's words died in her throat.
“Walk. Away.” She said and he didn't know what she saw on Annalisa's face, but it made her pale and Sy watched her walk away quickly. Once she was gone, Annalisa turned back to him. "Sorry about that, you looked like you needed the save.” She said and Sy snorted.
“No, I...I appreciate it.” Sy said, “She has a habit of showin' up and givin' me a headache.”
“Well, I can pretend to take a phone call, look horribly guilty, and walk away with you looking horribly annoyed. If you want.” She said, “For appearance sake.”
“Actually, um...” Sy said, “How 'bout I buy you a drink? As a thank you for savin' my ass.”
“I'd like that.” She said, “Annalisa Caulfield.”
“Kyle Syverson, but everyone calls me Sy.” He said, and shrugged, “Well, mostly everyone. Why don't we get a booth? Kick this “date night” off proper?”
“Yeah, let's go find a spot.” She said, giving him a small smile and he grabbed his beer, sliding off the stool. He followed her through the bar towards the booths lining the wall, sliding in after her when they found an empty.
“You make a habit of savin' guys from their exes?” Sy asked and she snorted.
“No.” She said, “I don't know why I did it, to be honest. I noticed you two talking, but it didn't look like a happy conversation, and the next thing I knew I was hugging you and apologizing.”
"Well, I appreciate it, really." He said, "You're probably wonderin' why I needed savin'."
"A bit, yeah, but it's your business so I wasn't going to ask." She said and he gave a soft huff of a laugh, the corner of his lips perking into a small smile.
"While I was busy dodgin' bullets overseas, she was sleepin' with just about every guy in town." He said. "Army." He clarified, seeing the questioning look she was giving him. "Used to be, anyway."
"How'd you find out?"
"One of my buddies took pity on me and told me." Sy said, "I confronted her and to her credit, she didn't try to lie. Not that it means much. She tried to turn it around and blame me for it, sayin' she wouldn't've if I had been around more."
"Bullshit." Annalisa said.
"Yeah that's what I said too." Sy said, "Right before I told her to pack her shit and get out."
"How long ago was it? I'm guessing not recent?"
"Long enough for the hurt and anger to go away.” He said, “Now seein' her just makes me tired. The fact she can't seem to leave it the fuck alone makes me exhausted." Her hand slid over his arm and he gave her an appreciative smile. "Enough of my pity party. What about you?"
"What about me?"
"Well I was in the Army, what do you do?"
"Nothing, actually." She said and he arched a brow at her, "Well, that's not entirely true. I'm co-owner of a couple clubs downtown. Pendulum and Tell-Tale Heart. I handle the background stuff, my partners handle the up front side of it."
"Heard of'em. Never been, though." Sy said, "Rave clubs ain't really my scene."
"Nor mine, to be honest." She admitted, "They do very well though, especially in big metro areas."
“I didn't actually get you that drink as thanks.” Sy said with an awkward huff of a laugh, “Here we are talkin' and I forgot.”
“Don't worry about it.” She said with a smile, leaning forward with her arms crossed on the table, “I much prefer conversation over alcohol.”
Sy woke hearing voices, rolling over to see her sitting on the edge of the bed, haloed in moonlight.
“Yeah.” She said quietly, “Yeah, I'll be there in a bit.” Reaching out, he ran his fingertips down her bare back and she shivered. As the old adage went, one thing led to another and they wound up back at his place. Turning, she gave him an apologetic look. “I gotta go. Something came up.”
“Sure I can't convince you to stay?” He asked, reaching out and holding her hand gently, his thumb moving over her skin. She seemed to think it over, regarding him evenly.
“They can handle it without me.” She said and got back into bed after chucking her phone back on the nightstand, Sy chuckling as he pulled her closer, pressing his lips to hers.

For the ask game: Mattdrai and 60, please💙
60. Truth serum/spell
Leon has never been the type of person to wear his heart on his sleeve. He's smart enough to learn to hide anything real behind a resting bitch face and a reputation for sarcasm and excellent jokes.
That's why it fucks him up so bad when suddenly he can't hold back.
He's out at a bar in Florida, enjoying the sun even though it's February and he'll be back in the snow soon enough. The All Star Game actually feels like a welcome reprieve right now, especially because Stu's girl offered to look after Bowie so Leon could let Bowie enjoy the beach for a couple more days.
And Leon can enjoy a couple of beers before going back to his room and cuddling up to Bowie. Why would he pick up when -
"Matthew looks so fucking good."
Davo chokes on his beer and Stu snorts his beer halfway up his mustache. Leon looks around to see who said that. It's true, but it's not something that anyone should just say.
"Is the beer hitting you that hard, Leo?"
"What?"
Wait, it was Leon who said that? Sure, he's been thinking it for ages but that doesn't mean he should say that he -
"Can't believe I still want him so bad."
Davo bangs his head on the table in front of him, trying to make himself forget what Leon just let slip. Leon is almost tempted to follow his captain's example, but he knows that won't solve shit.
"Spiked drink?" Stu studies him. "Sounds like truth serum to me."
"You sure it's truth serum?" Tkachuk himself finally speaks up, staring Leon right in the eye. "Because I recall him saying some very different things last May when I tried to have a conversation with him."
Fuck, he's right there. Somehow that didn't stop Leon from saying some of the most embarrassing stuff he's ever said in his life, when he did such a good job last year of -
"Lying because I was terrified."
"Didn't think you were a coward."
"Not a coward, just dumb enough to fall in love with you."
Davo might be embarrassed now, but he's going to hold this over Leon's head forever. But maybe it's going to be worth it, because instead of making fun of him and walking away, Matthew looks at him with those soft blue eyes that Leon remembers from the few moments they managed to leave their egos at the door when they fucked.
"Hey Stu, when does this stuff wear off?" Matthew asks.
"Since he's only had half of his beer, probably another fifteen minutes or so."
Matthew looks at Leon again, watching Leon bite his lip nearly bloody to keep from saying so many things he's been holding back for at least a year - possibly since that time they made out in a St. Louis bar three years ago.
"I guess I've waited for this long, I can wait a little while longer."
"I'm gonna marry you."
Not yet, but someday. Maybe. If he doesn't fuck it up again. But Matthew is willing to let Leon keep his secrets, and not take advantage of Leon's mouth running away with all of his thoughts.
"Can you at least get him out of here?"
Instead of letting Leon say anything else, Matthew puts a hand over Leon's mouth and leads him outside.
"I want you to kiss me."
That probably wasn't even the truth serum talking. That was all Leon.

Candy - Chapter 3
Word count: 1191
Cassidy is at home with Joe when he receives a call from his boss inviting them to another party... August just can't let her go...
Minors DNI
Joe moans, distracted from the game he was trying to play as Cassidy wrapped her mouth around his cock between his legs. "Oh god." He rests his hand on the top of her head, glancing down to find her brown eyes on his. "Cass..."
She giggles around his cock, resting her hands on his thighs as she allowed him to guide her on him before his phone rang beside him.
He groaned, looking to see August's name on the screen as he tried to push her away. She didn't budge, grabbing his cock with her hand as she continued her work. "It's my boss!" He hisses as she only shrugs.
"Answer it," she demands, pulling his cock back into her mouth, eliciting a grunt from above her.
"Hello?" He answers gruffly, trying to control his breath.
"Joseph, how are you?"
He tensed slightly at the sound of August's stern voice on the other line. Even through the phone, August Walker was someone that commanded attention. "Sir... I'm good." He manages to stumble out as Cassidy deep throated his cock, causing him to hit the back of her throat.
Cassidy rolled her eyes at Joe calling the August 'sir' as Joe bit his lip, trying his best to keep quiet on the phone.
"Listen, the Mrs. and I are having a small New Year's Eve party at the house and we wanted to invite you. And bring your pretty girlfriend too," August insists. "What was her name? Carly?"
"Cassidy... sir," he offers, gripping her hand in his hand as he now began to push her down on him and she moaned softly around his cock.
"Cassidy, right. I'll send you an email with the details. See you next week."
Joe knew that it wasn't a question or an invitation, not really. It was a summoning. "Yes sir. Thank you!"
"Please, call me August."
"Ye—" Joe hears the line click, scoffing slightly as he tosses it onto the couch beside him. "Fuck, Cass..."
She hears him grunt, feeling his cock tighten without warning as he came in her mouth, pushing her down on him as she swallowed. She pinched his thigh when he released her.
"Ow! What the fuck was that for?"
"You're supposed to tell a girl when you're about to come!"
"Sorry," he chuckled, watching her stand up, grabbing his water from the table to take a large gulp, before plopping beside him on the couch.
"So... who was that?" She asks, already knowing the answer. She grabbed the book she had been reading earlier in the day and propped herself on the edge of the couch, facing him as he pulled his shorts back on.
"August Walker," Joe answers gleefully. "He invited us to his house for a New Year's Eve party this weekend. Can you believe it?!"
"Us?" She shakes her head, looking back down at her book, a little annoyed at his excitement. "No thanks."
"No thanks?" He repeats, placing his hand on her book to push it down, forcing her to look up at him. "What the fuck do you mean, no thanks? He said you were invited to. Sort of insisted I bring you. You're coming."
"No, I'm not. I do not want to go." She slams the book on the coffee table as he scoffs.
"You have to! I just started working there and I've been invited to the boss's house! There are guys that have been there for years that have never been invited. This is a big deal. It will be an even bigger fucking deal if I don't do as he asks and bring you."
Cassidy scowled, knowing she was the only reason he was invited in the first place. "I don't want to go. I do not like him."
Joe rolls his eyes at her childishness. "We always have to deal with people we don't like. It's a part of life. Please, Cass! This affects my career and how August sees me..."
His voice softens toward the end as he lowers his brows, doing his best to look dejected as she groans. "Ugh! Fine!"
Joe grins, pulling her to him to lay kisses along her cheek, down her neck and back up as she giggled. "Thank you. It means so much, really. Especially after you said you didn't think we were ready to meet each other's families for Christmas."
She groans softly with a sigh, resting her hand on his cheek. "I'm sorry. I'm just not ready. And I don't really think a big family holiday is the right time to introduce your significant other. It can be overwhelming..."
"I know." He nods with a small smile. "It's fine. Really? When you're ready, I'll introduce you to my parents."
"Sounds good. Can I go back to reading my book now like I was before you interrupted me?"
"I interrupted you?!" He laughs, squeezing her sides as she squealed, giggling. "I was sitting here quietly playing my game."
"You're so cute when you concentrate," she teases as he laughs, shaking his head.
He places a kiss on her nose before releasing her to allow her to prop herself back up in her spot beside him. She rested her legs in his lap as she returned to reading and he returned to his game. She took a glance back at him as he played, wondering how she would manage to date him while also trying to avoid August. She wasn't even really sure yet that she wanted to avoid August. Sure he was just a client and it didn't mean anything, but that didn't mean that she didn't enjoy her time with him.
August dialed another number after hanging up on Joe. He paced his office as he waited for the line to pick up. Finally, he heard the click. "Hey."
"Walker? What's up?"
"I might have a job for you."
"Who do I get to kill?" The man asks brazenly asks from the other line, making August scoff and roll his eyes.
"No one..." he stops pacing, glancing out the window with a small shrug, "well, I haven't decided yet. But you owe me."
"Yeah yeah. Whatever you need Walker."
"Good, I'll be in touch." August hangs up the phone, sliding it into his pocket just as he hears his office door open behind him and his five-year-old son comes charging into the room. He turns around with a smile, scooping him into his arms.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Walker... he got away from me."
August smiles at the nanny, obviously tired from chasing his son all day. "No worries, I'm done for today. Where is his mother?"
"I... I do not know, sir." She keeps her eyes drawn down, away from him. She knew he was easier to deal with when he was around his son, but she did not want to be the one to incur his wrath because of Sara.
"Right," August sighs, patting her shoulder gently. "Go home. I will get him to bed." He dismisses her with his hand as she quickly scurries away and he focuses on his son, setting him on his feet. "Go pick out a book, I'll be right there." He chuckles to himself as his son happily runs up the stairs toward his room as he follows him.

hiiii! I know ur requests might be backed up and I don’t mind if you get to this one or not. But can you do headcanons about the Genshin boys and how they’d react if Y/N decided to leave them even though they’re bearing their child/children?
Angst angst angst! TW: Y/N is kind of a bitch here
Mondstadt
Albedo The cracks had been forming for a while now. There was no major blow-up, nothing that was truly the final blow. Simply two people who were once in love, and had grown apart. Albedo informed them as soon as he learned, and the look of regret on Y/N's face would haunt him forever.
"I'm sorry...But it's best for both of us if we walk away while things are...civil."
Bennett It would be his luck, wouldn't it? All the little things had started piling up, the small mistunes that led to bigger problems. Maybe they just couldn't stand seeing Benny coming home injured any longer, or maybe they were tired of his bad luck affecting them as well. The news finally broke down the last barrier standing between them.
"I'm sorry...I love you...but this isn't healthy for either of us."
Diluc Too many secrets, too many sharp words and too many expectations. It was too good for too long, and Diluc knows he should have ended it far before it reached this point at all. Clinging to the false hope things would be alright only brought this mistake about.
"Please take care of yourself...I...I just can't do this, I'm sorry."
Kaeya The earth-shattering reality of what was happening hits him harder than a solid block of ice. The test was positive, and Y/N was already walking out the door before he could offer solutions.
"Kaeya...I'm not leaving because of the baby, but we both know we'd be terrible parents...it's over, it's been over for a long time. You know that."
Mika Didn't even want to tell them. Facing the truth was just too hard, and his hand clung to their sleeve as Y/N tried to walk away. "Mika, you have to let me go. We aren't right for each other...you'll find someone else, I'm certain...but it isn't me."
Razor It wasn't fair. Y/N was his mate, his lover, his purpose. Razor loved hard and true, and watching them walk out of his life with no consideration for their pup broke his heart in two.
"This isn't what I want...not with you."
Venti Laughs. Light and breezy, as if it's just another terrible pun being hurled around the bar. Of course. He understands. It wasn't the first time, and it wouldn't be the last.
"Goodbye, Venti...don't....drink too much."
Liyue
Baizhu Death was always one step behind him, and for the first time in his life, Baizhu thought, maybe, he was ready to stop running from it.
"I don't want to watch you die...and I'm too young to care for you and a baby. This isn't good for you...or me." Childe: Really, he should have known. With the life he lead, and the battles and danger he was constantly throwing himself into, it was only a matter of time before they turned their back.
Chongyun Doesn't expect it, the goodbye comes out of the blue, and the news of his pregnancy falls like bitter herbs on his tongue. Y/N looks surprised, sorry for him even, but doesn't stop.
"Maybe we'll meet again one day...but it's for the best if we don't."
Gaming They were the one, he was so certain of it. Gaming had told his whole family, and celebrated the news of his unborn child with them while waiting for Y/N to return from their trip. Except, they don't come back. Not a day later, not a week later, only sending a letter two months after leaving. "I couldn't say it to your face, but I'm not ready for a family. This is too much too fast."
Xiao Isn't shocked, but still, he hurts. For once, just once, Xiao allowed himself to think perhaps, things could be different. He could be happy, Y/N would stay and all the darkness around them could be kept at bay.
"Xiao...it was never going to work. We're just too different..."
Xingqiu Bitter, the sight of their face makes his blood boil as they brush past each other in the street. Their child growing steadily inside his belly, while Y/N carries on with life as if he'd never happened.
Zhongli Accepts it, hides the pain with a gentle smile, but crumbles behind closed doors. "Tell our child I'm sorry...but I can't raise...whatever it is they'll be."
Inazuma Arataki Itto The hurt is clear on his face, eyes wide in shock. Not Y/N, not his best friend, his confidant, his ride of die. How could they do this? Now of all times? Weren't they supposed to be together, forever? "Itto...I never wanted a child...especially not the child of an Oni."
Ayato The pressure was simply too much. Every move they made, action they took, word they spoke, was under the gaze of haughty officials with more money and sense. Ayato doesn't blame them for running, the responsibility would have crushed anyone, but not him. Tears would be shed in private, but in public, his smile would never drop.
Gorou Maybe, he thinks, if he'd been human it would have been different. If it was just the responsibility of one child on their shoulders and not the life of three.
Kazuha Allows them to walk away with questions. A part of him knew it was coming, understood that what they'd shared had been on the rocks for months. Asking them to stay and raise a child would only lead to bitter resentment, and he couldn't let that happen.
Heizou Shuts himself away and throws himself into his work. He can't face this right now, he simply can't.
Thoma For the first time in all his years working under the Kamisato household, Thoma requests a break. Two weeks, he flees to the country and washes away the memories with sleep. Y/N's last words still ringing in his ears when he returns.
"I never meant for it to go this far...I'm sorry Thoma, you were just meant to be....something fun." Sumeru
AlHaitham Shuts down. Calls in sick, locks the door to his house and doesn't come out for nearly a month. It's too much, he doesn't know what to do, for once in his adult life, he feels utterly and truly lost.
Cyno Thinks it must be some sort of joke. Y/N can't be serious. They had talked about this, made plans, and yet...they want to walk away? Pretend nothing had happened between them and leave their child without a parent? "I thought this is what I wanted, I really did but...the more I think about it, the more...I realize I don't want it...with you."
Kaveh Begs, on his knees, tears in his eyes, begs with every ounce of willpower in his body. Don't leave him don't leave their child don't walk out that door and pretend he didn't matter, it mattered, didn't it? What they had was something, he was something, right?
Sethos It should have been a happy time, they should have been rejoicing, celebrating their growing family. Instead, he's left alone, staring into the fire and questioning if Y/N had ever loved him at all.
Tighnari Had half a mind to run off into the forest and never come back. He feels stupid, used. How could he have fallen for this? How did he miss the signs? The happiness of a child had been ripped out from his fingers before the day was up, and now he was left alone, to pick up the pieces.
Wanderer Angry, burning to his core. The one time he opens himself up, let himself feel something, he's crushed to pieces and left with a reminder growing inside of his womb.
Fontain
Freminet Doesn't cry. There's no emotion on his face at all, only the slight trembling on his hands to alert to his feelings. "I love you but I'm not in love with you..."
Lyney Shattered. This was supposed to be his second chance, a family to love and protect. They were going to be together, forever, he had it planned out, for the first time in his life Lyney was certain he was safe and stable..and now it's been pulled out from under him.
Neuvillette Gutted. The streets are flooded for weeks as he grapples with the reality of whats going on. He feels foolish for not seeing the issues building, and when Y/N walks away, he feels he's the cause of all their issues.
Wrio Expects it. He knows they were just a fling, even if deep down, he wanted so much more. They would be leaving the prison in less than a month, and, well, he would never be. It wasn't fair to ask them to leave their life in Fontain behind to raise a child in the prison with him.

Rei/Eichi/Keito/Wataru yandere headcanons but they're ranked by least bad-worst
☆ ☾ ☆ ──────────────────
Keito
Honestly more likely to be the yandere victim himself he's so surprisingly easily manipulated and far too trusting. But I digress
Incredibly protective of anyone he cares for. With everyone else (Eichi, mainly) he can't control them getting themselves into trouble, but with you… Well, who can blame him for taking you away to keep you safe? One thing in his life that's just for himself, one thing he can protect…
Genuinely just wants what's best for you but believes he's the one that knows what that is. He'll understand why you may not like being locked away from the world, that's not going to stop him though.
Work is very rough. Don't make things harder for him when he comes home, okay? He doesn't need to come back and find you've been causing trouble.
Keito may seem harsh and strict but underneath all that lies a very soft heart. He's too in love to ever punish you physically. Or much at all for that matter. At worst he may lock you in the bedroom for a day or two to make you learn your lesson, though even that would make him feel guilty, when you beg him to forgive you and let you out… so it likely wouldn't last all that long. He'll just lecture you instead, then…!
Always working so he won't even be around as often as he wants to be. Will make sure you have books or whatever else you need to entertain yourself while he's away for hours…
The safest out of these four tbh. Won't ever hurt you and won't expect you to act like you love him (though if you do accept him he'll be so happy :( Keito has such a low opinion of himself that he never expects you or anyone else to care for him, but if you let him he'll be even more doting than he already is… please love him)
Wataru
Oh god. The gaslighting.
If you ever notice and point out any of his suspicious behavior, he'll simply coo at you and hush you, saying that it's so cruel that you'd ever make such accusations of your very own Hibiki Wataru. Don't you trust him?
Like Keito, he's unlikely to ever hurt you physically. But that doesn't mean you want to get on his bad side. Wataru is well known for being able to read people like a book - don't make him use that against you. He can and will say the most terrible, emotionally damaging things just to get to you, and do it all with a smile on his face <3 If you'd just behave, he would be so kind, so let's avoid forcing him to pick you apart like this.
Could just hypnotize you into loving him. But there's no challenge in that, so it's no fun! He'd rather play the long game.
Excellent at comforting you, even if he was the one to make you break down in the first place… Which is only another part of the ways he manipulates you into his arms.
If hitting you where it hurts isn't enough, he can simply put on another act. Just imagine how sad and lonely and miserable he'd be if you ever left him. Would you really be so selfish as to hurt Wataru that way? He's not above guilt tripping...
Unlikely to ever kidnap you. He's sunk his claws in so deep with his manipulation that you would never leave or betray him anyway. There's no need to go through the trouble of proving you're his by ripping you away from your life so harshly… he's put in so much effort to make you believe he's innocent in his love, after all.
Eichi
He's already so possessive in canon can you imagine how much worse it would be if he was yandere?
Absolutely has the means to take you and wipe away any trace of what he's done. He could even pay off anyone who might look for you.
He'll shower you in gifts and attention and give you anything you want. Surely that's enough to make you realize that's it's better to stay with him? No one else could take such good care of you… Just accept his affections, okay? (He will start to get desperate if you don't. Eichi will do anything to get you to love him back. There are so few people in his life that have offered such care to him, after all…)
Knows that what he's doing is wrong. But it'll be for the best, he reasons.
Wants you to be obedient. He isn't into dealing with someone who will fight him constantly.
More willing to punish you than the other two. He doesn't like having to do it - you're his beloved, he wants you to care for him as much as he cares for you! - but sometimes things must be done. The ends justify the means for him. Once you've accepted the situation, you can both live happily together. <3
As long as you're good he'll be very gentle, though. Not the type to punish you for no reason - though he may threaten to just as a form of teasing you to see your reactions. He can be a little cruel sometimes, after all…
Honestly as long as you don't fight him your life will be really nice. You will be kept very comfortable and have free reign of the whole house (though the servants will always be watching, so don't try to run). Please accept your rich loving slightly fucked up boyfriend
Rei
He seems so kind and helpful at first glance, but he'd be the worst out of these to have as a yandere.
His sense of morality is… Well, not great. Growing up in a vampire cult would do that to you!
Incredibly similar to Eichi in a lot of ways. Just worse.
Rei wouldn't see anything wrong with kidnapping you and harming you if he needs to. As far as he is concerned, it's only a symbol of how much he loves you, that he would take you as his own in such a way…
Also perfectly fine with doing whatever he needs to, to get you to accept the situation. Drugging? Chaining you up in the basement until you beg him to let you out? Hitting you? If necessary. Sometimes lessons must be taught in harsher ways, after all… You'll learn!
Will bite you to mark you. Even if no one else is going to see it, he still likes knowing he's marked you as his…
Doesn't want you completely broken, of course. He got attached to you because of your personality… You may be pretty, but nevertheless, it's no fun if you sit there without reacting to him. Would be very happy if you would have nice long conversations with him…
You Will cuddle with him whenever he wants to sleep. Which is often. This is not a request. It gets cold and lonely sleeping alone so he appreciates your warmth :(
Can be very doting once you're broken in enough to start cooperating with him <3 he doesn't like hurting you, so make it easier on both of you, okay? He just wants his darling all to himself, is that so bad…

Leah! Imagine dancing with Miles Miller before the events of Bad Times and then hearing that same song after Bad Times.
i only have eyes for you.
you stood amidst rubble and ash. the ruin of the place you had once worked. you couldn't believe that this place had once stood so big and imposing, a landmark between two states. now, it was nothing. burned to the ground by a fire that had consumed it from the inside out. and along with it, your heart and soul had been taken by those flames.
you were standing by the place where the front desk would have been, and your eyes caught sight of something in the rubble. with a trembling hand, you reached down, brushing the ash aside and retrieving what was left of the bell that had sat upon the desk. holding the bell to your chest, you let out a soft cry. you'd lost everything to these flames. your livelihood. your possessions. but most of all, you'd lost the man you loved.
you'd watched him die, right before your very eyes. you'd held his trembling hand in yours and sobbed over him as he slipped away. he'd begged the old preacher, albeit the con man that he was, to absolve him of his sins. he so desperately needed to know he could be forgiven. needed to know he would cross through those pearly gates without fear of being cast into the fiery pits of hell.
he believed so deeply that he was unforgivable. that he was evil. no matter how many times you told him he wasn't. he refused to believe you, insisting that you had no idea of the magnitude of the wickedness he'd committed. but you did know, and you loved him all the same. you did not judge the person he'd been in the war. it was a brutal, senseless war, and it had forced even the best of men to commit acts they never even dreamed of committing.
but every time he got in his head about his past, you were there to soothe him. even though you knew it never took the hurt or trauma away, not truly, it did ease his pain a little. when you held him in your arms and told him how much you loved him, he almost felt okay. you would spend hours with your arms around him, swaying around the lobby of the el royale, his face buried in the crook of your neck. your favorite song would play over the victrola. i only have eyes for you.
its dreamy notes would relax you both, and lull you into a sense of security. but that safety was false, and you both knew it. nothing was safe in this place. the only place you both found safety was in each other. so you clung to one another, protecting the others from the horrors of the world around you. that was, until the horrors caught up with you. until your haven was invaded, violated, destroyed. you would never forget watching your love stumble into the room, his beautiful face bloodied and marred from the buckshot that had hit him.
they hadn't let you tend to him. no matter how much you cried and begged. "please, he's hurt! let me take care of him!" you exclaimed. the woman with the dark hair and bangs had told you to shut up. and then, all hell broke loose. you were plunged into a sick game of life and death. miles was trying to bargain for your life. begging billy lee to turn the gun on him, and not you. "i deserve it. i've sinned! i deserve to die!" he wailed. "stop!" you pleaded. "miles, stop!" and then he locked eyes with you. "i can't let you die. you're the only good thing in my life."
billy lee had laughed at that. "ain't that sweet?" he cooed, creeping into your space, fingers stroking your jawline. that gesture had miles jerking against his bind, shouting at him to get his hands off you. "prince charming over here is willing to sacrifice himself for you." but billy would get his comeuppance soon enough. it wasn't long before miles allowed himself to slip into the man he was during the war. he was driven by his need to protect you, to save the only one he'd ever truly loved.
and he succeeded. soon, the room was silent, save for the soft sobs of rose, the girl billy had manipulated for his own personal gain. and miles, your sweet, precious miles, with that bleeding, empathetic heart, had approached her, trying to offer comfort as she wept. but her anger an grief drove her, and she stood, trembling as she turned to face him. you saw the knife before he did, glinting in the orange glow. "no!" you shrieked, but it was too late. you caught him as he fell, just as father flynn stopped rose from going any further with a bullet.
all that was left was you, kneeling on the floor, holding your darling boy in your arms, wailing with an agony you had never known. "f-forgive me father, for i have sinned!" he whimpered. and father flynn gave him what he was searching for. only then did miles finally let go, and you were left holding his body as his life force slipped from him. they tried to pull you away as you sobbed, holding him tighter still, refusing to leave him. but the place was going up in flames around you, and it was either leave, or be consumed along with it.
you refused to leave him there alone. "we have to bring him out! he needs a proper burial! i can't just leave him!" you wept. flynn looked at darlene, the only other survivor of this fateful night, and she sadly nodded. together, the three of you carried his body out into the stormy night. you cried, and cried, and cried, until you had no more tears left to cry. your heart was broken beyond repair. miles was gone, and he wasn't coming back.
a few days later, you found yourself back at the place where it happened. the front desk, where miles always stood, ready to greet guests as they came in. the lobby, where you danced the night away with your lover. it was all gone. all that was left was that little bell that you held clutched to your chest. you closed your eyes, and you could almost hear the beginning notes of i only have eyes for you. there, you began to sway back and forth, humming softly. "my love must be a kind of blind love. i can't see anyone but you..." and if only for that fleeting moment, you pretended you were back in that hotel lobby, swaying with your lover, safe in each other's arms.

R: ... I put him off the kid's scent. Haven't heard from Bancroft since. Don't really need his money. Bartending now. Less stress.
C: Watcher, Bartender? I can't imagine that.
Colby is trying not to laugh, hiding it behind his hands.
D: I've been thinking of getting out, too.
D: I've been doing this longer than either of you did. I'm kinda tired.
C: You do what you gotta do, D. Keep tellin' you that.
R: Yeah, screw em'. We're too old. Live your life. Find someone to hook up with.
D: Lookit this guy. Speaking from experience?
R: No one steady. But sure. There've been people.
C: I might have met someone. Not sure yet though. Someone comes around, helps with my farm sometimes. Flirts a little.
Colby shrugs, clearly not entirely sure about the situation.
All eyes are on Colby now.
D: Hang on.
R: When did this happen?
C: Last couple weeks, I s'pose. Like I said, not sure of anythin' yet.
D: I think it's great. You'll introduce us, when you're more certain, yeah?
C: If. Sure. Now if you're done. I got cake.
R: We're gettin' old, if you're hitting the big 4-0.
C: You and me both, Rocco. Least I don't feel it.
D: Good thing, with this farm to run.
R: Do you want us to sing to you?
D: I don't remember you singing that great.
C: Both of you keep the singing to yourselves.
R: Alright. Make a wish, then, boss.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"
C: D, if you don't put that horn down.. where'd you even get it?
D: Hehee. My jacket. Hid it earlier. Couldn't resist.
Once the candles are blown out, Colby glances at his phone when it starts ringing.
C: Go ahead and eat, I gotta take this.
Since the only others that might call him are there, and it's not Chase, there's really only one other person it might be.
C: Kaylie. Good to hear from you. How's your boy?
K: Oh, he's good. Minor surgery. He'll be going home, but.. I was thinking. I want to tell him. About Ed's last gift.
C: Good. He meant it for you both.
K: Would you come to Copperdale, for Winterfest? Help me tell Jake?
C: Are.. are you sure? I don't wanna interrupt.
K: You knew Ed well. I think it would be good. Please, Colby.
C: If that's what you want. I'll make arrangements.
K: Thank you.
C: You know it's no problem. I'll check on the place before I leave.
K: Thank you. Truly, Colby. You've done so much, looking after it and all.
C: Least I can do, after everything. Text me the particulars, ok?
K: Ok. I appreciate it.
D: And who was that?
C: Mrs. Lawson. Ed's widow.
For a moment there's silence.
R: Didn't know you stayed in touch.
C: I check in from time to time. Her boy's in college now.
R: Been that long, huh?
C: It has.
D: They alright?
C: Fair. Her boy was injured in a college football game. He'll be alright. You remember Ed was talkin' about finding a house for em, in Strangerville?
R: Hah, yeah. Couldn't find a place, as I recall.
C: He found a place. Here in Chestnut Ridge. I've been checking in on the property once in a while.
D: So that's why you chose Chestnut Ridge.
C: One of em'. Kaylie's not been sure what to do about it.
D: Her boy doesn't know about it? What was his name?
C: Jake. And no, but I got a feelin' she's going to now. We'll see what happens.
R: You alright, seein' em face to face?
C: Yeah. Gotta be. Kid deserves to know.
C: C'mon, enough of that talk. Lets go sit and catch up proper, huh?
R: Sounds good to me. Gonna get me another piece of that cake.
D: You've always been a glutton, Rocco.
R: I don't indulge that often, D.
D: In food at least.
C: Settle down, come sit.
"Yes, sir."

Ok so this is less of a request and more of a thought to consider. It bothers me that Danse doesn’t really comment on vertibirds going down/crashing/finding dead brotherhood in the commonwealth. It also bothers me that Hancock doesn’t really say much during the synth quest in Diamond City. Idk I feel like there’s a lot of potential dialogue that’s missing. Like Preston commenting on a settlement that’s been “improved” (hit all requirements for water, food and defense) should also be a thing.
do you have any ideas for potential dialogue that’s missing from the game? Again, not a request so don’t feel like you need to write anything, but just a good for thought.
Titan quest part 3! (Part 1 - 2 )
So, I'll end this post quickly in order to get back to taking care of others ask who are waiting
I hope you are not disappointed; sadly, I had very few ideas…
Perhaps playing Fallout again will bring some to me I'll take note of it and possibly write another post on it later.
So, for the time being, The Conclusion
Cait - Curie - Deacon - Piper - Preston - Strong - X6-88
Cait : "Hey Cait, let’s take a nice walk to Nuka-World, where I’ll be the Overboss and I’ll beat strangers in an arena, enslave people..." You know?
"Stop immediately!"
“Cait?”
“Ya filthy traitor!”
“Cait?!”
“How dare ya?”
"Could you please calm down and explain why you are so angry?"
“Raiders! You've risen to the position of raider Overboss!"
"Let me relate you that funny story—
“No! I'm not interested! What are you thinking? You enslaved them!"
"They were evil people..."
"So you're now deciding who gets to live freely or not?"
"It wasn't that; it was strictly for business..."
"I told you everything, everything, everything. The fact that I was sold as a slave and that my life was a living horror. You seemed like a kind person to me. And now I see you putting those awful necklaces around other people necks like they're cattle! Would you have put the necklace around my neck in the past, in those days, claiming that I'm a wicked person, that I don't have the right to my freedom?"
"...It isn't the same."
"Would you really know the difference between a lost and violent drug addict fighting in a ring for raiders?"
Sole finds nothing to reply this time, frozen on the spot and unable to add a word.
"You couldn't have done it. Right now, you can't see someone you're putting a necklace on. I'm not going to kill you in the name of what we shared, because you helped me. But I'm leaving now, and I hope to never cross your way again. Because if I see your filthy, hypocrite face again, I'm going to blow it open, catcha?"
Sole looks, a weight of lead in the heart, as the one they had learned to consider a friend walk away. They realize how wrong they were, but they feel it's too late.
Curie (romanced): Okay, seriously, here I am, doing what many others have had to do, in some ways. It’s a one-in-a-hundred chance, but still, after going all the way around the bazaar, Curie is offered a place in a hospital (clinic?). Okay, some people must have decided to retain her as a companion, but she's not the most interesting element. Probably more appealing than very practical. It’s a command; Curie is assigned to a medical counter, and that’s it! But I'd like to picture a tiny scenario based on my fanfiction, even if I didn't touch on Curie's entrance in "her" hospital at this moment (precisely).
"Here, Curie, I'm not sure if I can help you much further in your quest to discover and study the world, but I think we could kill two birds with one stone if you stayed as chief physician at this new hospital in Sanctuary; your medical knowledge will be useful to both locals and transients. It's a settlement that is quickly gaining traction in the Commonwealth. You should encounter enough individuals and situations to further your education and insights."
The synth stands with her hands clasped against her chest, her gaze gleaming, turning her head from one side to the other, detailing the thick glass structure that was erected at the settlement's gates.
"Sole! That’s! That is incredible! That is stunning! That's incredible!"
"We made an effort to make the place look pleasant. I tried to make it as bright as possible so that you don't feel imprisoned up again like in this vault, as I had considered for some time to attribute it to you."
Curie's voice chokes in her throat as she barely holds back a sob.
"I'm not sure what's going on with me. It’s… It's like when you began slipping into my thoughts repeatedly, but I vibrate; it's as if tickles were flowing through my entire body. Everything seems to be pulsating. What is going on with me?"
"I believe it's excitement. A high amount of elation. You are overjoyed."
Curie's expression darkens, and she shakes her head and frowns.
"I see. Happiness. I thought I'd found it with you."
"You've found happiness in your relationship, but you're more than that. You have your own set of objectives and desires. A complete human cannot exist exclusively on the happiness and aspirations of another. He requires his own accomplishments."
"My... achievement is becoming a doctor for the new Sanctuary Hospital."
"It appears, based on how lit up you are."
Curie's brows raise in surprise, and her mouth makes an o.
"Did I light up? Is that a human ability? I was completely unaware!"
"It's a way of speaking" that Sole enjoys. "I mean, it seems obvious that you're happy."
"Oh, I see. Yes, I'm overjoyed right now."
Deacon : There are several. So many opportunities were squandered. As much in his interacts with other companions as everywhere else in the game. But I'd like to use a glitch because it's really noticeable (and funny).
"Deacon!"
"What?"
"What's wrong with you?"
"What?"
"You're... you're NUDE!"
The spy glances down at his attire and sees he has no one.
"Oh, you mean that? How do you feel about the suit? It's for me to dress up like Adam!"
"It isn't a disguise! It's nakedness!"
"You don't read the Bible. It's a disguise, truer than life; it's the most obnoxious disguise I could find to wear that day when I was dealing with a swarm of hot Amazons on a deserted island east of Boston."
"There have never been any Amazons on a desert island east of Boston."
"They were stunning! But here they were, killing all the people who dared to wear garments in front of their eyes, a religious thing, I reckon."
"You talk away from being naked."
"So they had this tall woman leading them. She was so huge that she was able to peer at the super-mutant from above. I've personally saw her spanking a super mutant on her lap.
"This is getting out of hand."
"Super-mutants were tolerated in this woman's society because they often just wore loincloths. Outfits truly irritated them."
"You.are.still.nude."
"I don't remember why; I think it has something to do with the fact that we come into the world without clothing, so we don't have to wear clothes so as not to offend the life that created us like this."
"Get yourself dressed!"
"It will be your fault if we get harassed by the Amazons of the desert island of East Boston."
Piper : The scoop of the century! The second. Sole infiltrated the Institute and came back. Piper CANNOT ignore that Sole is in contact with the DIRECTOR of the INSTITUTE.
"Sole, can we talk?"
"My personal favorite reporter!"
Sole comes to a halt in the alley leading to Home Plate, their gaze settled on Piper.
"What exactly do you want to talk about?"
"The Institute."
At the very least, she's not going in circles. Sole becomes uneasy as they anticipate what will follow.
"Okay, so what's going on?"
"You have to get me an interview with the director—
"Shaun, my son..."
"The director of the most heinous and secretive organisation ever to be born in the Commonwealth! Blue! I must have this interview!"
Sole looks around for a loophole but can't find one.
"Piper, I wish I could give you what you're asking for; you've been so nice and helpful to me. But I'm afraid I can't. Only I have access to the Institute. I'm not sure what they'd do if I helped you infiltrate them. And since you want to interview the director, it won't go ignored."
"Please ask him to give me this interview! According to what you said, he claims to be acting for the sake of humanity and its future. He'll want to spread the word about his vision, won't he?"
With her looks, the reporter backs Sole up, daring them to contradict her. Sole lets out a long sigh.
"All right, I'll ask him the next time I see him. But I can't promise you anythi—
Piper, overcome with excitement, jumps around her friend's neck.
"MANY THANKS! This is going to be the interview of the century! Of the millennium! Exclusive: The Great Boogeyman justifies himself!"
Sole would like to object and tell Piper that it is not done, but they would rather walk away while Piper is lost in her own vision of the future, gazing bright and bursting with excitement.
Preston : This situation can only arise if Sole is General of the Minutemen AND Brotherhoods of Steel.
"Sole! We need to talk! Now!"
"Preston? "You appear... upset."
The man is normally as composed as an Olympian. He recognises his state of mind and takes a deep breath to recover control of his nerves.
"I'm sorry, General. I... I lost it for a moment. But we need to discuss; it's critical."
Sole tries not to think about the lengthy journey they've taken or the bed that awaits them in a remote area of their home. They keep their anguish hidden and devote their entire attention to the man who truly gave birth to them when they landed in the Commonwealth.
"What exactly is it?"
"The Brotherhoods..."
Sole can't stop rolling their eyes. That was something they was expecting. Everyone around them is hesitant to pledge allegiance to the military organisation on many reasons.
"What, the Brotherhoods?" they inquire a little too bluntly.
"You have allied with the Brotherhoods of Steel!"
Sole closes their eyes and blows hard. They didn't have much patience today, and this kind of debate may sap what little they had left.
"Come on, Preston. Get to the point. I just busted a Super-Mutant camp, I'm filthy, exhausted, and I don't know if there's a muscle in my body that doesn't ache."
"The Brotherhoods appeared in the Commonwealth as if they owned everything; they drove the roads—
"And protect the civilians..."
"And grab any and all technologies they can find!"
The vault dweller cannot help but be astonished this time. They had no idea that, of all the things that could be put against the BoS, Preston would bring this up.
"Uh, what are you getting at?"
"Look, I haven't done much travelling outside of the Commonwealth, but I've met a lot of people who have. In comparison to other societies on the continent, the Commonwealth has effectively remained in the Stone Age. When major cities have risen from the ashes on the west coast, we are still attempting to establish viable settlements. While huge corporations have established themselves elsewhere, our caravan system is primary and inadequate. We have almost no high-profile clinics, let alone hospitals, yet huge health centers may be found in other places. We erect pumps with duct tape and rusted pipes while in the Capital they have cleaned water reservoirs! But, slowly and steadily, we are constructing something. Thanks especially to you, Sole. Every day, every week, we the opportunity to build new communities that are safer and more equipped than ever before. But, in the long term, the Brotherhoods will have crushed our best opportunity of making a real change if they continue to seize all of the technology that rightfully belong to Bostonians! They deploy their advances to take ours as we struggle to shake ourselves up and stand up! They are mortgaging future breakthroughs for future generations even before we are aware of the possibility! This is intolerable!"
Sole doesn't know what to say about it. To claim they hadn't considered it is a far cry from describing where they are. While they had always considered the Brotherhoods' efforts as a helpful means to safeguard the people from anything that could jeopardize their future, they now realize that their fixation with collecting the technologies of the past had the opposite effect on the future. And they are acutely aware that there is little to prevent this looting in its purest form.
Strong : We've been with Strong for a long time; he's a powerful and unique companion, but his personal mission never progresses. Okay, we know the Milk of Human Kindness doesn't exist, but it has been misleading this unfortunate Super-Mutant who blindly follows us from the start. At some time, far beyond all occurrences, after a few months of following all of Sole's whims and following them everywhere, Strong may probably come to realize that things are not moving forward. As a result, he should confront Sole.
"Human! Stop!"
"What's going on, my great friend?"
"Puny human thinks Strong stupid. Strong follow human, respect human, help human. But Human lies to Strong."
Soole wide-eyed in surprise. They finally comes to a halt and turns to face their merry green giant companion.
"I believe we have a major problem. You must explain, because I have no idea when I lied to you."
"Human Kindness Milk. Humans do not seek. Human not wanting to help Strong."
Oh shit, Sole thinks. Indeed, they had never ventured to explain to Strong the struggle this pursuit was, hoping that it would die out on its own.
X6-88 : A Courser’s mission is to bring the escaped synths back to the Institute
"Nick," Sole greats the detective as they return to Diamond City.
"Sole," he reply to his great pal.
X6 examines the Synthetic before turning to Sole.
"Ma'am/Sir, we need to stop and extract this element."
Nick and Sole exchange glances. Nick wishes to object, but Sole raises their hand.
"X6, you can't...stop Nick and...extract him out."
"It is imperative to adhere to the Institute's course of action and report on any stray elements. This element is obviously a fugitive, and we have an obligation to return it to the Institute immediately."
"No, you can't do that."
"This version may be outdated and deficient—
"You know what the outdated and deficient version says!"
—but we owe it to the institute to report it as soon as possible."
Sole sighs heavily and pinches the bridge of their nose, feeling a migraine surge to their brain.
"Look, X6, we're not at the Institute, and we haven't gotten any specific orders about this element. Furthermore, as you indicated, it's out of date—
"You know what he tells you about the past date!"
—and won't be relevant to the Institute's needs."
"Orders are orders."
"You must also follow my commands. It is not possible to bring this old version back to the Institute!"
Nick adds, growling in his beard, "You know what the old version tells you."
X6 pauses, clearly caught up in a conflict of interest. He must obey Sole, but he must also obey the Institute's directions. He has no idea how to react to the circumstance. He is unsure of what he should do. His brain strives to process all the data, facts, directions, and laws behind his marble face and fixed gaze covered by his sunglasses.
Nick and Sole, realizing the Courser has been frozen in place, decide to let him consider what has just been said. Meanwhile, they're on the hunt for holotapes.

Chapter 22 - Part 2
Lest you've lost your way, click here to progress (regress?) back to Part 1.
...Okay, now I'm officially worried.
Meanwhile, back in the Real World™️ (shout-out to my buddy @kantochampred!):
Alright, I'm about to go off on a small side tangent here but I promise it's worth it-
(Sorry to post your sins on main, Red 😔)
(Why Do I Climb the Mountain? is a reference btw)
LMAO OKAY thank you for bearing with me, now back to the main show:
Good job, neither of those two things is correct!
...Okay, Cherrim has replaced Drifblim, yes, but. Imagine this tiny seed holding Teresa and Andrea by their little stubby hands while riding the wind down the mountain.
I had to look up a walkthrough to identify that little Riolu to the right. Normally, that's an Exeggcute! (And the backup for Team Frontier, apparently).
The Third Station Pass was dubbed Great Turn, while the clearing was called:
Admittedly, I had no idea what an "oubliette" was, so I did a quick search and...
Wait a minute, are you freaking kidding me-
WE ARE STARRING IN A WAR DRAMA AAAAAAAAAAAA-
(Apologies for the small text at the start, let me know if I need to add an image description!)
...No >:l
The only reason I left this in is because this happened:
Oh my God yes PLEASE-
So fun fact, I actually did a dry run of the first few dungeons before doing it for real and taking photos. And the first time around, this gift was an Escape Orb? Which isn't bad, but I would 100% take the Reviver Seed over that any day.
The 4th Station Pass was named Sad Peninsula. (Florida? Dat you?) And the 4th Station Clearing? See below.
But then!
(Handsome Desolation? Is this where the handsome men in uniform... perish?! 😓)
I feel like a large, prehistoric rock dino should be enough to scare most things, but I guess taking the even larger rock snake as backup can't hurt.
So we go through the 5th Station Pass, Sandy Way... (Only one letter different from Sandy Bay.)
I. Don't remember why I took a picture of this. The downfalls of not immediately composing posts after the playthrough...
But yeah, those giant two-room dungeons with guaranteed MH's and a huge mass of enemies in the other room aside is definitely a theme and I hate it.
Andrea consumed enough Gummis to obtain this IQ skill, which is awesome since Max Elixirs are so hard to come by.
Look at this!! I'm pretty sure Blizzard only had 7 PP before! Yee haw!
I wonder which Pokémon are the ones bothering Sneasel Pichu?
OH NOOO!! I'm imagining this grisly scene where all these Combusken are just pecking Pichu to death.
Team Frontier happens to beat us to the punch:
I love that Onix is so big that she blocks Nidoran F.
Like all territorial encroachments in Mystery Dungeon, everyone just jumps right into the fray without listening to anyone 🙄
Honestly, all of Team Frontier was pretty based. Jolteon had an ability that allowed him to attack twice in a row (I think because the weather was different?) and he consistently used X-Scissor. Nidoran F had Sesimic Toss (55 damage) and Ice Beam. Deoxys had Attack Order, Seed Flare, Rock Wrecker(!), and Swift, the last hitting for 120 damage on a critical. Combined with Teresa's Chatter (when we finally got there, because you start off a ways from everyone), they didn't stay up for much longer.
Also Jolteon shielded me when Teresa got low on HP 🥺️
"SIT DOWN FOR TWO SECONDS AND LISTEN TO ME FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE, I SWEAR TO ARCEUS!"
"We owe you..." -> Yet another line from this game that never made any sense to me. (Unless it was sarcasm ig?)
💀You what
Hey, speaking of... I know Onix is huge and all, but have y'all seen Pichu since the fight started...?
(Beep boop, click here to advance to Part 3)

So, I just watched the S3 finale of The Owl House and I have a lot to say. Spoilers ofc. Also please tell me if The Collector's pronouns are He/Him or They/Them. I use He/Him in one paragraph and They/Them in another, so please tell me thanks!
The ending for The Owl House and Amphibia felt similar (IN A GOOD WAY) with the protagonist "dying", coming back to life with grand power to end the massive threat, and then living again with the proper chance to say goodbye. I have to say, this got me crying/tearing up on a few occasions, especially with how childish and pure The Collector is. (I just realized I have to change my pfp I'll do that later) He just wants to make friends, but he's unaware of how to do so because everyone he's met has used him for their own advantage.
The Collector is one of my favorite characters because he's like me; We don't know how to make friends properly and just hope it works. They just want to help and I can't blame them, especially when Luz takes the hit for them. The fact that it took them a bit to realize that Luz was actually gone broke me. The Collector is so pure. I love them and want them to be my friend. Also, when Luz, Eda, and King were showing The Collector how they became friends, they started looking upset and during the games they played. They felt left out and I can understand that, making me relate to them more.
Raine is my most favorite character for various reasons but that's for another post. The fact that they were possessed by Belos as a puppet was like "Bitch what the fuck?!". Also, the fact that the moon sticker came off to reveal Raine's original outfit was like a punch in the stomach and I can't explain why. I wanna give props to them for fighting off the little shit that is Belos and the fact that Raine broke their violin to protect the Titan's heart just shattered me, especially since it didn't work.
Closer to the middle/end where the trio (Luz, Eda, and King) come to save Raine, they were whistling Eda's Requiem and I had to get up from my bed and just stop like "damn stop trying to break my heart" so yeah. At least they and Eda got their happy ending tbh good for them.
There are also a few things I want to point out that aren't long enough to have paragraph explanations, but I don't want to gloss over them:
Camila as a puppet was crying when Luz's light particles(?) entered The Archives, giving her that motherly instinct that her daughter is gone without her even realizing it.
The Collector was going to sacrifice themself to save everyone else in The Archives probably because Luz sacrificed herself for them.
Everyone (I think) understood that The Collector wanted to help and let him.
WILLOW'S DADS GOT TO KISS ON SCREEN AYOO???? I WAS SO FUCKING HAPPY YOU WOULD'VE THOUGHT I WAS ON A SUGAR RUSH!!!
Alador and Darius got a gay scene (okay maybe not gay but it gave off the vibes, especially since I ship them.) (The scene is during the credits when Owlbert is getting the others in The Demon Realm)
The fact that the birds just don't care that the trees on the Titan's arm are sideways and just perch there anyways is amazing.
Everyone got a glow-up and I'm here for it
I love how overly animated some of the scenes are. It makes it more immersive and energetic and I am here for it as well.
The Titan in The Inbetween wearing a Bad Girl Coven shirt and Glyph pajama pants with a little Hooty replacing his right eye is something I thought I'd never see, but I love it. He's such a dad.
The "I loaf you" message The Titan wanted Luz to give to King is such a dad thing to do and I fucking love it. Gave me something to laugh about after the angst I just witnessed.
FLAPJACK'S GRAVE
Hunter working with Eda's dad (I'M SO SORRY I FORGOT HIS NAME I KNEW IT BEFORE) in Palisman carving is just AHHHHHHHH MY HEART
Everyone growing up and doing what they love is so amazing I wish Disney didn't cancel TOH so that we could've had more exploration, especially the lore.
Raine's face is stained from Belos' goop and it looks like they've been crying forever and idk what to say.
GUS' DAD HUGGING THE ILLUSIONS BEFORE HUGGING GUS LIKE IK HE DIDN'T KNOW WHICH ONE WAS GUS BUT THE IDEA THAT HE'S WILLING TO HUG ALL THE ILLUSIONS TO GET TO HIS SON IS JUST AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
That's not all I have, but for rn it is. Tell me what you thought about the finale. If you made it this far, tell me which version of Raine I should cosplay (the original, the puppet, or the glow-up/finale version)
