first off, two facts about Noa and Kai:

they care about each other a lot

they cannot fucking STAND each other 90% of the time

they struggle a lot when it comes to teamwork, their personalities don't mesh well under pressure and their approaches to problem-solving differ wildly, so they often end up getting on each other’s nerves and being quite tense when they have to work together :P nothing, like, dramatic though, and nothing that escalates beyond general bickering and annoyance

that being said, on a personal and social level they do view each other as close friends and (can) get along well, though you’d be hard-pressed to get either of them to admit it. they share a lot of similarities (some of which I’ll go into) and both value the other as someone they can be open and honest with and drop their guard around, which is sayin somethin ‘cause openness and honesty are notoriously difficult for both of them lmao

in general I would say hmmmm

Noa views Kai (fondly) as a bastard and a swindler and possibly the most infuriating person she’s ever met, an opinion which does not change even as she grows to consider them a friend. like, genuinely? she fuckin hates their guts. and their ridiculously charming smile. and the way they can sweet talk their way into or out of any situation. she’s a little bitter about the way people just seem to hand over whatever Kai wants just ‘cause they’re a smooth-talker and good at pulling strings, ‘cause that level of uhhhhh sneaky interpersonal finesse is not something she’s ever really been able to access and it strikes her as cheating ahaha

that being said, though she finds their personality grating and their face punchable, they’re a person who cares intensely about people, not in an abstract theoretical all-talk-no-action kind of way, but in a concrete, physical, motivated “hey let me help you with that right now” kind of way, which Noa will never have any beef with. too many people sit around talking about what it means to do the right thing. not enough people get out there in a van full of interdimensional crime and pull off elaborate heists for the greater good

Kai has a similar take on Noa in that regard, as in, like. she’s kind of hardcore, yes. but. there are too many people sitting around talking about what it means to do the right thing, not enough people getting rightfully fucking unhinged and charging headfirst into injustice and cruelty and punching the shit out of it. her methods are a little too impulsive and headstrong for Kai’s tastes but it works for her n they��re cheering from the sidelines lol

but ye, Kai views Noa as. hm. a very very very intense person who is a lot of fun to mess with. pretty much as soon as Kai realises Noa isn’t going to be a threat in any capacity they’re like “sick now I have free reign to be the most annoying person in the universe” and they absolutely follow through. they find her passion and intensity amusing but admirable, and they were sold on the fact that she’s a good, kind person no matter her prickly exterior the second they saw how much she adores her mum c:

so, arguably, half of the next part is just,,,, me elaborating to an excessive extent,,,,, but this info used to be at the start of the ramble so I’d already written it before being like “hey wait a minute” so to hell with it I’m including it anyway

these two don’t get a lot of screentime together till the second half of the book and they have a pretty rocky start imo

like, Noa’s first impressions of Kai on two separate occasions are “that bastard who robbed me while I was on the clock” and “that random weirdo who somehow charmed my best friend into thinking they’re cool even though they sound like the shadiest motherfucker on the entire planet and I’m pretty sure they’re a serial killer”, which then culminate into “oh shit these are in fact the same person and they’re definitely bad news”

Kai never dislikes Noa the same way Noa dislikes them, but they are wary of her and have a healthy degree of fear regarding the threat she could pose to them.......... Kai and Noa’s different career choices put them at odds with each other right off the bat, what with Noa working for the Department of Interdimensional Instabilities and Kai operating a significantly less legal business that’s essentially the antithesis of the DII

plus Noa in general has a reputation for being Kind Of Fucking Terrifying

initially I would say they both view the other as “potentially a legitimate threat” and “not to be underestimated”, but post-mid-story-heist they get to spend some proper time together and form more grounded opinions of each other :P though arguably still for a considerable while the only reason they put up with each other is because Tris is like “:D” at them both and they’re like........ aw no I don’t wanna make him sad

Kai warms to Noa a lot faster than Noa warms to Kai, ‘cause Kai warms to most people pretty quick provided they’re not literal axe murderers. Noa starts to warm to Kai only after careful observation and assessment leads her to conclude the following two facts with reasonable certainty:

Kai does appear to be in possession of a solid moral compass

Kai has no ill intent towards Tris whatsoever

which tips the scale in their favour enough for her to be like “okay fine”

there's a level of distance and awkwardness between them for ages 'cause like, yeah, they're friends they guess but not like, friends-friends, there just seems to be something that's not clicking, n the main reason for that is just like

a deep-seated terror of being emotionally open and vulnerable resulting in a pathological need to project a loud outgoing persona that masks every ounce of insecurity and fear and prevents anyone from getting close enough to Know You: Noa 🤝 Kai

as soon as THAT realisation clicks for both of them n they're like "oh shit you're just like me and I know exactly how you feel" it instils a sense of connection and camaraderie between them and solidifies a kinship based on Something rather than simply "mutual friends" and "sometimes we're in the same place"

n like, obviously the others Know about the whole. situation. with Kai’s backstory but Kai’s still pretty cagey about it emotionally speaking.... I’m pretty sure Noa is?? the only person they manage to completely drop their guard around over the course of the story? in terms of like.... having a genuine heart-to-heart about the emotions involved and the fear n guilt

and like. yeah. yeah. Noa hasn’t made a friend besides Tris in like ten years n she’s also notoriously cagey with her emotions and her being genuine and vulnerable is just....... not a thing that happens very often or very easily.... and even less through a lot of the story

idk man. they’ve just got good vibes together

they offer each other a Safe Place and a level of understanding that maybe the others don’t quite grasp. even though the others r still empathetic and care for them a lot n have equally important things they bring to the friendship. Noa and Kai just have a vibe yeah

Most of the people hating on tabitha/jughead on principle are diehard b*ghead fans which. Nothing against the ship though it is personally mot my cup of tea but it’s the only core four ship (and one of the only major ships I think) between two white people (I know Archie’s nebulous because kj isn’t white but archie is written as though he is).

I’m just saying it’s a bad look for people to hate on the Black girl for getting in the way of their all white ship please watch something else if that’s a problem for you. Like nothing against b*ghead but EVERYTHING against b*ghead shippers who hate on tabitha

completely agreed. b*ghead isn’t my personal cup of tea either, I don’t mind it and have a lot of very lovely b*ghead friends/mutuals, same with b*ronica, b*rchie, v*rchie, j*rchie, j*ronica, literally whatever (and on that note, none of what I’m about to comment on applies to anyone I’m following ftr I don’t go in for bashing or vagueing people) but I’m just not invested in most of them. that’s fine. I don’t watch riverdale (or read archie comics for that matter) for the specific ships but rather for the characters. by and large I literally don’t care what people ship as long as they aren’t shitty about it.

 like okay, what happened with v*ggie is bad writing. I like that ship, I do, but the way their dynamic ended up playing out bugged the hell out of me and is why I wouldn’t want them getting back together (well, in theory; if the narrative went that way I’d still give it a chance, I’ve been pleasantly surprised sometimes) but that was also part of why they did break up, and I feel like that ship is a great example of one where it’s very clear what was just in character drama vs what was bad writing. for example, having veronica tell him she wants to be with him again and then basically dump him offscreen in the finale and delete at least on s4 scene that followed on that, or having her literally forget he already told her his dad hits him, is obviously writing and not character. compared to the other issues with their relationship which were relatively in character and pretty much made sense, even if it did mean them breaking up. 

if people are wary about j*bitha for TABITHA’S sake, and I mean genuinely not performatively, I 100% understand that, the show has given us plenty of reasons not to give the writers the benefit of the doubt, but that’s just not what I’ve been seeing so... I don’t even have a horse in this race really but I just hate the narrative that this type of storyline automatically invalidates her character, that characters like her will be put up on the ‘don’t need no man’ pedestal because she’s ‘too good for everyone’ when fandom generally won’t apply that standard to their actual faves, because let’s face it, shipping is a big part of fandom. there are people who don’t know how to engage with a character if they’re not shipping them so they either pair the spares or ignore that character completely (or often, both) (which is also imo transparently what’s happening with <75% of the people who were shipping reggie and tabitha before they shared a single ounce of screentime), like if you (general you) don’t actually care about them just don’t talk about them then. it’s really just that easy. to put it bluntly I'd just be very surprised if most of these complaints are being made by anyone who ever had any intention of actually investing in tabitha’s character, making graphics or art or fic, beyond “will she or won’t she be jughead’s love interest.” it’s usually pretty obvious imo when someone doesn’t ship something just because they don’t, or if there’s transparent bias behind it.

hi there, just saw in the tags that you didn‘t like endgame. would you like to expand on that? i am curious to know other people‘s perspective. personally, i liked it. it has flaws, yes, but to me it was enjoyable. if you don‘t feel like answering, that is fine :) have a great day!

i’m just joking, i’ll go easy, or at least give you the digest (a vicious lie) version. if you want to see the full extent of my derision and vitriol, you can go to @lowkeysebastianstan, which is the blog where i’ve tried to limit this too. but to give you the not at all short and not so sweet of it, here goes. (endgame spoilers obviously).

the first thing that really set me off was the ending, more precisely, what steve did. it made absolutely no sense whatsoever, and hit me closer to home than most of my followers here since bucky and steve are my fave characters, and the only ship i really have. now, i never thought stucky would become canon, not even a little, i didn’t even hope for it. sure, the representation would’ve been awesome, but there’s no way marvel could’ve done it justice, so it was just as well it was never gonna happen. what i hadn’t prepared for was to what extreme extent they were terrified of the ship and the effect it would have if they were to let it be even a hint that could be interpreted as some emotional connection between them, for 3 films they’re built bucky up as the most important character in steve’s life, he’s risked his own life to save him, he basically eradicated hydra during wwii fueled by grief for him, he was prepared to die for him in tws, he fought his friends and gave up everything for him in cacw, and then he just? leaves? to be with a woman who died of old age and natural causes after a long fulfilling life with another man and family of her own. who specifically told him to fucking move on in tws? yeah, sure. and do not get me wrong, i adore sam wilson, after bucky, and the real steve rogers, he is by far my fave in the cap verse (saving a few spots for my bp and cm peeps in the mcu, but we’ll get to them), and he is the superior choice to pick up the mantle, no doubt about it. (okay, a little doubt, they teased sebastian with that shield for 8 years, they based bucky on the brubaker storyline where he becomes cap, and so i do feel a little torn bc no matter how happy he must be for his friend, and him and mackie are good friends, he must be a little disappointed? but who knows, maybe they’ll do something with that in the series, which would be stupid af bc that would negate the positive leap in representation, and mackie deserves it too, so who the fuck knows, i’ll probably not be around to keep track anyways, and can you tell im rambling), but for steve’s last words to be to sam? while bucky stands and watch in the background? like??? i could go on in (more excruciating) detail, but that was why i linked the blog, there might be a point or two about this on there.

but that was just the start. all through the movie i felt disconnected and uneasy, they made some really weird choices, but i don’t think it was until nat took the plunge that i knew i had an absolute dud on my hands. 

the mcu has done a lot of things right, but their treatment of women is NOT one of them. and oh boy did they go out with a bang. first is the obvious implication, he got to live bc he had “more to live for”, and she didn’t have a family, and ye gods we know she can’t have kids, so why should she live? 

(see, if the bw movie wasn’t in the books, i’d completely get it, if it was to give scarjo her life back, and she wanted nat to be good and dead, sure. actually, when i first watched it, that’s what i thought tbh, that the bw movie was cancelled, so. but it’s not, so she will return. and since that the case it’s just fucked up that they yeeted her off the roster. and sure, some of the bw movie was always gonna be set in the past, but tbh? i don’t see much point in prequels for dead characters, you know that whatever happens won’t affect the outcome for the character at all, and i usually find them completely void of meaning. that might just be me though). and of course the fact that she died the same way gamora went didn’t help. (gamora’s death was maybe the single worst thing in aiw, she was fridged, not for the advancement of one man, but for two (thanos and quill) and it.just.shouldn’t.have.worked.thanos.cannot.love! again, mcu and women? not a good match.) 

then of course, it comes back to steve and how much he doesn’t give a crap about the people close to him in the present, we never see him care or grieve for anyone but peggy, and he could barely spare two tears for nat before it was all business again. and the rest of the team? i think clint cared a little, and banner threw a chair, but that was it. no memorial, not burial, no nothing, it was like she never existed, and she died saving the world just as much as tony, he couldn’t have done jack shit without the soul stone. 

and speaking of women, shuri and okoye? before the trailer dropped i was sure shuri was in this, that we’d get to see her lead in her brother’s stead. i actually did a short lament on this already, here.

carol was terribly underused, after all the oompf about her being there she was barely a blip. but the haircut was fantastic, and the best part of the movie was when she returned at the end.

then there’s nebula and gamora (again). at first i was actually quite pleased that they sort of found a loophole to bring gamora back, but then i thought about it (yes, sometimes i get seduced by the flashy colours too) and yeah. sure. a gamora is there, but she’s void of all the things that makes her interesting and all her development is just gone, everything “our” gamora achieved and experienced is gone, three films worth of arc is worthless. so what then is the point of getting “her” back? i don’t care about this person, i don’t know her. are we gonna see quill just harass her the next film, bc you know, she’s been with him, so why shouldn’t he expect her to just do that now? tbh i wouldn’t be surprised, but now that gunn is back maybe he can save it? not that i’ll be around to keep track though.

then nebula. nvm that time paradox, that’s a whole other fuckfest i’ll get back to, but we had to get to see her get killed too, didn’t we. by her sister, the only person in the world she loves. fucking fantastic, i cannot control my enthusiasm. 

and no, cool as it was, the a-force surrounding parker is not enough to bring this home. it was a cool sight though. (see? i can see the good.)

then of course it’s peggy. a woman he knew for a few months back during the war. (sure they knew each other longer, but i’d say, even if you’re very generous, they can’t have spent more than a couple of months in each other’s company, and they kissed once). who they stripped of all character development and autonomy so that steve could go back and get his “damce”. everything she achieved, every good thing that happened to her, her husband, her family, her advancement in shield, all gone. bc steve must have his happy ending, no matter that she told him to move the fuck on in tws, who cares. 

and then there’s sharon. yeah, they forgot about her, didn’t they. i mean, i was never really on board with that, the whole aunt/niece thing was a bit too weird for me, and this was way before i shipped stucky, but that doesn’t matter. bc they did that, they had them kiss within days after peggy’s death (oooh, look how he cared for peggy), making it clear that this was the beginning of something. (also marvel and several of the actors treated emily like crap, oh yeah, i remember, doesn’t help either.) 

(gods i said this would be short, didn’t i? imagine if i could’ve spent all the words i’ve spent ranting about endgame on my latest chapter? good grief.)

then there’s their so called lgbt representation. 30 seconds of a character that had a total of 60 sconds of screentime in tws lamenting his dead lover? well. i. they wanted credit for that. i just.

then there’s thor. they negated every ounce of development he had in ragnarok, this also goes for aiw, wasn’t happy about that, and made him completely ooc, he just spends his time drinking ab\nd playing fortnite of all things? bold of them to assume that will still be a thing in 5 years, but also? thor? THOR? neglecting his people? his friends? the world? thor? then they of course made him fat, haha, so they could add fat-shaming to the list while they make light and fun of his drinking problems, his grief and his ptsd. awesome. the funniest. 

then there’s clint. that they just randomly made a killer? just, like a straight up murderer? okay then. and still nat deserved to die. excellent.

then there’s banner. okay, i don’t think they fucked him up as bad as the others, but it’s still strange he would risk his intelligence to become hulk full time, but you do you.  

rocket and rhodey were the best things about this damn disaster, just putting it out there.

then there’s tony. i mean, we knew he was the main protagonist, and im not objecting that, (even if i think it’s really strange he’d be born in 1970) but idk. that was strange’s plan? all that for that? and pepper just went, eh what the hell, just die, i can raise this kid you wanted. (i know, i know, she’s her mom, she cares), but it was just so flat. and idk. i mean, rdj wanted his life back, just as evans, but i’d want to see that switched, that tony get to retire and steve sacrifice himself to save the world. tony could still be the deciding factor in strange’s plan even if steve delivered the coup de grace. at least he cared enough to show an emotion™when peter came back, which was more than steve bothered with. jfc they fucked up steve.

then there’s the time travel. okay, a few things about the 2012 thing. they put him in the elevator, and then, instead of having him just kick the crap out of the agents, they reference hydra!cap? the biggest shitstorm in the comics in the last two decades? like what the actual fuck? then of course there’s the americas ass thing, which, again, that’s steve, cares about his ass but not his friends! (but at least 2012 steve cares about bucky, maybe he’ll save him a couple of years early, back to the future steve will just live out his life knowing bucky is getting tortured somewhere in siberia, good times.) oh! and i guess they have their loophole to get loki back too, great, they’ll probably just forget that he’s not in the main timeline, bc who cares. 

and the fun just keeps coming with the time travel. oh they tried with some crap explanation that no one can make sense of, but here’s the kicker. they can’t either, they don’t even want to try, they don’t even agree with each other.

how did they know to meet up in wakanda or wherever, the dustees? did strange send a memo? not just the ppl in the soul realm or wherever they were, but all the others too, like valkyrie and hope. time and place just magically popped into their heads? and what happened when they all came back? or some came back, bc obviously a shit ton of ppl died at the dusting, like the pilot of a 747 gone? plane goes down and such, ppl really dead. and where do they reappear? where they disappeared? aka those passengers that got dusted comes back mid flight? fun! and what about the ones that moved on in their absence? what happens to the ones that come back when their wives and husbands are remarried, when there’s no place for them in their old lives. did all of peter’s classmates get dusted, or did the rest of the class graduate without him, i must assume that all of those in s:ffh did, otherwise some would be in college by now, yeah?

and that’s another reason their watertight time travel is leaky af, there’s no way to get the logistics to work. the only option as such would have been to go back to 2018 and fix it, to reset time, bc otherwise there are just too many holes, it’s just not possible. but they can’t do that bc then they’ll undo all the things that happen in the future that the characters don’t want to lose, like tony’s kid. 

oh, i know, it’s a superhero movie, but im strange like that, i expect a modicum of internal logic in all my movies, the bitch that i am. 

okay, im gonna leave it there, ive run out of steam, and i want to gif a set. there’s a few things more, but i think you’ve gotten the gist, that i’m not a fan of this movie and a short (lol, so sorry, nothing is ever digest with me, i should’ve warned you) list of reasons why. honestly this is the first time i’ve really don’t a more general account, ive pretty much stuck to steve and that crapshute, there’s a lot of other blogs that concentrate on the other characters, i’d list a few, but i don’t have it in me rn, pop me a msg if you’re interested, also if you’re interested in some real meta, this rambling rant isn’t something that people should be exposed to honestly. 

avengers: endgame was a shit movie and no amount of “he’s worthy” and “avengers assemble” is going to fix that, BUT if you enjoyed it, i don’t think less of you, obviously everyone is different, and i envy the hell out of you, i sorely wish i could’ve liked it too. the russos directed what is by far the best movie in the mcu imo, tws, and they had us all fooled, even if we probably should’ve seen it coming after iron man 4: civil war.

Dany ->

most of dany’s storyline irritates me to no end because it feels like all she has to do is blink and people will band together to praise her as if she is a holy figure. its extremely over the top and especially tasteless for reasons ill talk about later.

it also bothers me in that there is no compromising when it comes to dany’s rule. without having a conversation with any of the locals, she declares herself queen of meereen and its very obvious she mostly just sees it as “practice” for when she’ll go to take over westeros.

for a disrespectful amount of time, dany ignores, belittles, or flat out rejects most of the traditions and customs the people of the places she’s “liberated” has, and they often have had to beg her to let them continue their practices (no im not talking abt slavery obviously). one of the rare instances she finally agrees with the people’s requests, she ridiculously sells a man back into slavery somehow, instead of offering up any thoughtful alternatives for him whatsoever. 

and then she expresses open disgust at one of the meereense customs (the fighting pit). now its a dubious tradition sure, but it is still extremely unsettling watching characters go “please holy mother let us keep ONE custom of ours please please” and her saying no because she finds their entire culture disgusting in the first place. basically, her ideas of “compromise” can hardly be called compromise at all. she either has people completely return to their old ways and ends up welcoming slavery back with open arms, or shuts all of their traditions down and refuses to let them keep any ounce of cultural identity.

Jon ->

jon’s storyline with the free folk, however, feels much smoother and better written. instead of them worshipping the ground he walks on, jon has to work a lot to gain their trust. and even then, he has to do so every single time he goes to them bc they dont just blindly accept him. theyre wary of those south of the wall and especially of crows so it makes sense.

the struggles dany faces are mostly just fighting against those that don’t agree with her rule and are inarguable villains (sons of the harpy t*rrorists, slavers, etc.). morality wise, theyre easy battles because you just know dany has to come out on top, it wouldnt be fair or right if she didnt. theyre unforgivable groups of people! but with jon, his struggles are in getting the free folk to band/ally/side with him instead of just conquering them and then forcing them to support “his rule”. where dany hardly compromises, compromises and meeting each other halfway is literally the whole make-up of jon’s relationship with the free folk.

its also different in that the free folk arent “villains” like the opposition dany mostly faces against, but are instead a group of people who are just victims themselves.

what i also like is that jon always shuts others down whenever they so much as try to imply he wants to rule the free folk. the idea clearly repulses him, as it should!, and he says several times throughout many seasons that the free folk would and should always only follow their own. this is why he has peace talks with mance and why he makes a deal with tormund. in comparison, if this were dany’s storyline (which it practically is just with another group of people), she’d’ve just killed mance after he refused to hand the free folk over to her.

and i think the biggest reason (and the most glaring) is the fact that the free folk, while having a few poc here and there, consist mostly of white people. meanwhile, the groups dany deals with consist mostly of characters of color, especially those that are black and brown.

the free folk and those in meereen, yunkai, etc. have a lot in common as the groups in the show that face the most prejudice. BUT narrative wise they are treated extremely differently from each other.

the free folk get depth, significant speaking roles, and most of the time are not just clumped together as one. we see distinct differences between the factions within them.

the people of meereen, yunkai, and astapor are often bunched together as just the people dany freed bc it makes her sound cooler (dany the “breaker of chains” dun dundunnn). she has missandei and grey worm, yes, but they are only from astapor. the only meereenese(?) character we get to know in depth is hizdahr but not only was he hated by literally everyone on dany’s council before he was killed, but they also had cause to feel this way bc his character and family line were assholes. to be clear, its very bad if the one (1) character from an oppressed culture with speaking lines is an asshole everybody hates and wishes death on. and we dont even know any character from yunkai in depth nor is any given a significant amount of screentime/lines.

and then basically all the stuff i said at the top already. the free folk are treated as their own people who the narrative “allows” to have their own agency without jon. meanwhile, dany conquers almost all of the cultures she’s introduced to, and the people of the 3 places named have no agency outside of worshipping her or furthering her development. they feel like mere tools to help dany improve herself rather than being distinct people, while the free folk genuinely feel like a people who keep their individuality. 

its a strange contrast and i really do feel like its because the people dany is with are mostly poc meanwhile the people jon is with are mostly white. so of course the latter would get better writing, better focus, and careful handling than the former because white writers always show who they think deserves individuality and freedom, and who they think should to be the ones on their knees.

Who is the best boi in FE?

MMMMMMM you’re going to regret asking this question because I already know this is gonna become very long and rambly. I’m sorry, I’m just so passionate about FE and there are so many great characters (’:

I honestly can’t pick one so I’m gonna try to go through the most condensed list I possibly can (because I honestly love most of them).

> Chrom (FE13)

First and foremost, I gotta say my boy, Chrom. He’s definitely one of, if not my absolute favourite FE character. I admittedly didn’t think much of him during my first playthrough of Awakening, probably partly due to the fact that I always just paired him with Robin which just stagnated his growth and resulted in him dying and losing the game for us more times than I could patiently deal with. But anyway, I played through the game a second time and both my brother and I simultaneously realised how much we had been under appreciating Chrom and looking past how great of a Lord he really was ಥ_ಥ Fast forward to present day and now I stan him with every ounce of my being and spent £30 trying to get his Christmas special lmao

(On a completely unrelated note, if any of you would be so kind as to vote for him in the new Choose Your Legends event, I would be eternally grateful.)

> Ricken (FE13)

Ricken was my first Fire Emblem fav and I immediately loved him upon first sight. I was also pretty stunned to find out he had the same voice actor as Sasuke since I got into Fire Emblem during the time I was still going through my Sasuke phase lmao

But yeah, he’s so sweet and I actually invested so much time into his growth that he ended up being my most powerful unit. I also cosplayed him to 2016 Comic Con so that was fun, but his hat is really big so I’m pretty sure I whacked a fair amount of people in the face rip

> Robin (FE13)

Not really sure what to say about him, I just really like him and his design and we share a name so I’m naturally drawn to him, I guess. I’m also a big fan of magic users and main him in SSB4, so that’s also a plus (and his levin sword is badass).

> Frederick (FE13)

i just realised most of these are going to be from Awakening because that’s just my favourite game ever. Anyway, I love Frederick so much because he’s like a big bara mother to Chrom and Lissa and it’s so cute. I also love his supports with Chrom, they’re so great.

> Owain (FE13)

OWAIN IS JUST. SUCH A GREAT CHARACTER. He’s so entertaining and maintained that characteristic in Fates and Warriors, which are both games I wasn’t that fond of, but Owain just didn’t disappoint at all in either of those games. He’s just such a lively, interesting character and all his interactions are gold. His humour is intentionally overacted but it just works so well.

> Ephraim (FE8)

I’m not gonna lie, I haven’t even gotten round to playing Sacred Stones yet, but I loved Ephraim and Eirika from the very second I saw them so I have to include him.

> Nils (FE7)

I love Nils SO MUCH. He’s one of my favourite Blazing Blade characters and he’s just such an angel. I wish he got some more screentime and I’ll probably spend all my money if he ever gets into Heroes.

> Eliwood (FE7)

I can’t say for sure exactly what appeals to me about him, but I just really like him for some reason. His and Hector’s interactions are fantastic and Hector, Eliwood and Lyn are just the ultimate OT3 tbfh

> Leo (FE14)

One of the few characters in Fates that I actually liked. Honestly, I would let him fucking destroy me with Brynhildr any day of the week, and I’m so glad he ended up King of Nohr in Birthright.

> Morgan (FE13)

> Franz (FE8)

Look at this man, then look me straight in the eyes and try to convince me this isn’t basically Hide as a cavalier.

Ike (FE9 + FE10), Marth (FE1, FE3, FE11 + FE12), Gregor (FE13) because he’s just FANTASTIC I DON’T KNOW HOW ANYONE COULD DISLIKE HIM. I LOVE HIS ACCENT TOO (and let’s please not forget that Ricken had to canonically crossdress and pretend to be his girlfriend) and Boey (FE2 + FE15).

Dorcas (FE7) because his love for his wife is so pure but he’s dismissed as a meme by the fandom, Berkut (FE15), Keaton (FE14) and Niles (FE14).

Honestly, the more I talk, the more come to mind so I better cut this off here before I start listing more of them lmao

As you can see, I have a huge soft spot for FE characters and I could probably keep listing more if I tried (I’m glad you said best boy, otherwise this post would have ended up like ten times as long with all the female characters I love asdfg)
