1/ Let's make it clear that I did nothing but spend every goodness I have in the word for Nicobaster in an attempt to desperately worship a temple barely anyone cares about.
2/ Omg @avaetin the part about Alabaster wanting to kill Percy just reminds me of this fic (it's Percico but you know what I mean ajkdhasjkd). This is literally what Alabaster told Percy in regard to Nico and I'm still obsessed over it once in every while. 😭😭😭
(Aka: Percy's only alive because Alabaster doesn't want to damage his friendship with Nico (since Nico adores Percy))
While we are at it though, I like the idea of Alabaster's contrasting treatment towards Nico and Percy because let's face it - he would definitely do that. In the fic above, Alabaster is like two completely different persons - soft and considerate towards Nico, only to flip 180 degrees when it comes to Percy. It's actually a hilarious thing.
(This has nothing to do with my petty urge to laugh in Percy's face at every chance I get)
I, personally, think Alabaster and Nico would have a longgg way to go before they reach the friend-stage - what's with Nico directly contributing to the Titan Army's loss and Alabaster is, with all due respect, a vindictive little shit---- (This, again, has nothing to do with my sadistic urge to torment them) But once they reach it though, I think it'd be a beautiful companionship they have (understand this whichever way you prefer). Because as it turns out, Nico would be Alabaster's only friend, whereas Alabaster is the only one who can fully understand what Nico's gone through (being ostracized, lost, angry, driven by vengeance, etc... and most importantly: being a child tied closely to the Underworld and taking comfort from it.)
The thing with Percy goes without saying. Half of the reason I was interested in Alabaster was because the guy hated Percy so much LMAO. He is my spirit animal.
He is also my spirit animal in the sense that - he'd indulge Nico, be patient with him, trust him unconditionally, etc...; whereas he'd choose to contradict Percy in everything out of sheer grudge. Which is a funny sight considering Percy is now a widely loved and admired character among the demigod community, whereas Nico has always been the sidelined one.
Nonetheless, with that being said, what warms me to the core is when Alabaster chooses to keep Nico's friendship rather than take revenge on Percy. I have an entire vision I intend to write a fanfic about, really, about Al ready to battle Percy unto death until Nico practically begs him to let it go despite the bleeding (which he got from stopping their advances) - because he's the one standing in the middle of them, trying to keep both since he doesn't want to lose either. And as much as I want them to fight (yes this is personal, Percy), I like the idea of Alabaster would give up his motive for a friendship, which speaks volumes of the weight of Nico's companionship to him, which delights me to no end because Nico di Angelo's existence is precious okay!!! 😭😂😂😂
So please, with all due respect, please put him in, I want to see him so bad omfg. 😭😭😭 Alabaster is like a goldmine, you know? One people barely know of because it's so far away from civilization. But he has all these interesting traits and exciting backstory and badass accessories and I--I'm only a human okay I like shiny things ajsdhak.
Few things I’ve concluded upon reading The Son of Magic:
1. Canonically, around TSATS timeline, Alabaster would be roughly 18, maybe even 19 y.o. already.
2. (AU related) Alabaster probably hates Gaia. And he will probably hate Nyx for what she wants to do with Nico. On the other hand, he doesn’t know how to feel about Chronos. He’s a god - that’s one reason to hate him - and there’s the resemblance between him and Percy - another reason to hate him. But at the same time, he’s the only one standing between Nico and the goddess of Night. When he finds out though what Chronos intends to do, he ultimately decides that he doesn’t mind him.
3. (Own assumptions) It wasn’t mentioned if Lou came to camp before or after TLO, but I’d like to think that she was there before TLO. She’s one of those siblings that Alabaster mentioned who chose not to fight with the TA. (AU related) I can imagine that Alabaster loves all of his siblings, and regardless that they were on opposing sides, he’s relieved that she’s alive. He doesn’t let it show, but he’s happy to know that Lou has Nico for a friend, and vice versa.
4. (AU related) Alabaster:
- (obviously) likes Nico
- likes Hazel (probably, and since his mother favored her)
- likes Reyna (but remains wary of her because of her loyalty to the gods)
- dislikes Jason (esp. after finding out Zeus is his father) His judgement is only swayed just slightly when Nico defends him
- dislikes Annabeth (for obvious reasons)
- hates Percy (that will never change). He’ll spare him only this once because Nico needs him for his quest. But he makes a promise that once he’s presented a second opportunity, not even Nico can stop him.
5. (AU related [and definitely self-indulgent]) Alabaster likes Nico. Likes Nico. It’s another reason to hate Chronos. Chronos knows about his attraction. He’s not threatened.
#nico di angelo#pjo#hoo#toa#yone rambling#percy jackson and the olympians#heroes of olympus#trials of apollo#percy jackson#alabaster c torrington#alabaster torrington#nicobaster#percico#fanfic talk again bc what’s new anw?

IT IS TIME FOR ANOTHER ENTRY IN THE POTION AU!!
This is full of nothing and fluff, so prepare lmao
After a while, they began organizing group dinners, where they would all meet up in the evening and eat together. It took a bit of convincing Tommy's parents, but they accepted more easily when they realized it was just between close friends. Wilbur was already living on his own so it was no problem and Phil always was a free spirit.
And so, at least once a week, they met up at Techno's abode to spend the night together.
Tommy was elated to see all of the furniture now 10 times his size, and all the objects and decoration. "We're gonna have to try and play Hide and Seek, big man. Because this looks like the best fucking playground!" Wilbur, meanwhile, was looking in awe at the whole thing. It felt weird to be so not rightly scaled, but he got used to it soon enough.
Phil was the most surprising of all, due to the fact that he wasn't surprised at all. Even unbothered, in fact. Techno wondered if he was faking it to make him feel better, but everything seemed honest. For someone who claims to never have interacted with giants, he acted as if this was his everyday life. One day he wanted to ask him about that, but he figured those were not the time.
And so they would gather around, bringing each a part of the meal so they could enjoy together.
Sometimes, techno would drink the potion and join them, other times, he would stay at his regular size and simply enjoy the conversation. It was fine like that, Techno liked it. And his friends didn't seem to mind so it was perfect. (Well, Phil kind of minded, but he was always like that whenever he as much as looked at the potion so that wasn't really anything to go by.)
But it was nice, Wilbur would even bring his guitar from time to time, noticing Techno had a violin. He hasn't touched the instrument in a while but seeing Wilbur play the guitar, it was very tempting.
"You should try and play again, Techno! We could even make a duet! That would be fun"
"Maybe one day, yeah… but I would need to practice, it's been years."
"Well I don't know violin" Phil perked up "but I'm around Tommy almost everyday, so I'm used to bad sounds" he chuckled
"WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN??"Tommy argued, baffled, which made the other three laugh.
"But yeah, I think I'm gonna try to play again, it could be fun."
"How did you even get a violin this size? Are there giant shop owners ?"
Techno crackled at that "Na. I made it myself. Took a while, but I'm proud of the result."
Wilbur made an "ooohh" before returning to his meal with a smile.
It was pretty quiet for a while, everyone enjoying the silence before Wilbur perked up again.
"I'm wondering, are there giant animals? Like cows or chicken? How do you eat?"
Phil's fork almost dropped on the plate and looked at Wil with wide eyes, while Tommy added "hey yeah! You never eat with us when you're all big, how come?"
Techno smirked a bit at the question, and his hand reached for a counter. "Actually" he said, grabbing and showing an object they knew all too well "This is why I brought the potion in the first place."
Wilbur looked confused, but kept smiling, while Tommy exclaimed "wait, really?!?"
He chuckled "yeah. If creatures like that exist, I never found any. So I started hunting and eating stuff at human size, so when the potion effects wears off, it's like I ate a meal my size. That's how it started, pretty funny when you think about it."
Wilbur laughed a bit "yeah, who would've thought it would lead to this."
"Not me, that's for sure" techno confirmed.
The rest of the meal was spent in comfortable silence. Yet he could feel another question lingered in the brunette's tongue. Carefully, he bopped his hair with one of his fingers, and ruffled his hair gently, which made Wilbur laugh. It wasn't holding yet, but he was getting better at the whole contact thing. "What's stuck in that head of yours, Wilbur?"
The other continued to laugh a bit even after techno stopped, and he sheepishly smiled. "Well, I have a question, but it might come off as very rude, so I don't know if I should ask."
Phil turned to Wilbur, with an almost scolding glare "wilbur, don-"
"It's alright, Phil." He lifted a hand before turning his gaze towards Wilbur "ask away."
"Well… About the, hm… myths. Is that… is any of it true?" He finally said, clearly trying to word it inoffensively.
It was vague enough that Tommy didn't know what he was talking about, and Phil stayed silent, though his brows furrowed.
Techno bore a small, earnest smile. There was something that could be mistaken for sadness, but it wasn’t quite.
"Maybe a long time ago, but not that I know of. Giants heard of it too, but from tales and legends taking place so long ago the line between fiction and reality is a huge blur." he couldn't blame Wilbur for his curiosity, and he was surprised the question didn't even make him nervous. He was glad. Very glad.
"And I didn't meet a lot of giants in my lifetime, but none of them did it, so yeah. Maybe it was true at one point, but I think if it still was, humans would clearly be aware of it."
Wilbur hummed, satisfied with the answer. He took another bite of his meal "yeah, I mean to us, it's only a myth, so it makes sense. Thanks."
"No problem?" Techno had an amused smile on his face. Wilbur was a weird one sometimes, asking the weirdest or scariest things with only a childish smile on his face.
Tommy turned to look at wilbur, then technoblade, then wilbur again, before speaking “What the fuck are you two talking abou-”
“Nothing” They hummed in unison.
--
Eventually, the night fell completely and it was time for the humans to go home. They waved goodbye and walked toward the exit, but before they walked through the door, Wilbur turned around sharply and prompted "Can I sleep at your house tonight?"
Techno, phil and tommy were all taken aback. "You can go home if you want" he reassured the two blonds "I just really like Techno's house."
"Uhh" techno hesitated. It's not like Wilbur was in any danger, he was careful not to fall from heights… and he would be dead sooner than letting his friends get hurt.
"You don't have to, if you would rather sleep alone" the brunette was quick to add once he saw the small tension in Techno's stance.
"I think it'd be fine. I spent nights at your house after all, it's only fair. Yeah, you can stay." Techno settled on, earning another bright smile from the human.
After a couple of minutes, it was just the two of them. It was a bit awkward, seeing as it was the first time Techno was at real size on a one on one. But Wilbur didn't seem to see it that way, enjoying the view.
"Want me to join you down there?" He asked.
"Nope! You don't have to worry about a thing!" Wilbur simply replied, grabbing on a drawer handle and slowly making his way up. Techno was quick to put his hand below in case he fell.
"You could have warned me!" Techno complained, to which the other simply laughed a quick "sorry". Not stopping at all.
After almost falling only twice (and techno almost getting a heart attack two times), Wilbur made it onto a safe platform. The two sighed, one from exhaustion, the other from relief. And he laughed again.
"Tommy wasn't lying. This house really is an amazing playground." He stated, earning a snort from Techno.
"Did you want to stay at my house so you could play with the room without any remark?" He asked, amused.
"Maybe" Wilbur admitted. “But I also like to spend some time with you. You’re always a comforting presence.”
"Pff, yeah, right." Techno tried to ignore the warmth coming for his cheeks and ears. “You’re just saying that so I help you with something.”
“No, no, I mean it, techno. You’re a good friend.” And when he turned to meet the human’s face, it was a simple, honest smile. They stared at each other for a moment, unspoken words being said. Unspoken promises being made.
Techno stared at his friend’s eyes and saw: not fear. Not méfiance, not worry. His eyes were full of acceptance. Filled with joy and curiosity and wonder. It was the first time he had ever seen such an expression, and yet this look was dedicated to him. Wilbur had waited for them to be in absolute intimacy to offer him this moment.
A good friend.
Techno laughed. Quietly at first, but it grew and grew until the sounds filled the whole room. Wilbur could probably feel the vibration through his whole body but he couldn’t stop. The brunette soon joined in and happiness filled the entire room for god knows how long. Maybe it was two minutes, maybe it was an hour.
The laughters quieted down eventually, and Techno noticed the fond way Wilbur looked at him. The warmth quickly reached his whole face as he failed to keep a neutral expression. He coughed to wash away his awkwardness. “What- what with that face?”
"Nothing. It's just nice to see you less restrained." Wilbur smiled "you're always so careful when we're all together."
"Well, I have to be careful around humans." He hummed, pointing a finger at his friend "you're so small."
"Eh. You couldn't bruise us even if you tried" wilbur shrugged off. "But it's nice! We should do this more often if that means I get to hear your laugh like that more."
Techno cursed himself for the smile that wouldn't wear off.
"Yeah… maybe we should."

SOrry if you've been asked this before but since you're the one person I follow who's into Ace Attorney I can't help but ask. What's the best way to get into it?? I've seen the gameplay from RT but I know there's more and have no clue where to start. I only just realized there's an anime. For the love of God help me I want more of funny lawyer game. Thank u
i got you 😼 most of what i can say is the order in which to play/watch the games. whether you play the games yourself or watch a no-commentary or commentary let's play is up to you. playing the games yourself is more immersive and forces you to actually use your brain though which is why i joke around saying i suspect a lot of aa fans on tumblr and twitter have watched let's plays with commentary by the lowest of the low e.g. the game grumps. but especially if you don't have the money/don't know how to pirate then there's nothing wrong w watching a let's play.
here's the order of the games in terms of the TIMELINE, with the exception of plvpw and dgs/tgaa. this is how i would recommend playing them instead of in order of release dates. this is mostly because the transition directly from aa3 to aa4 can be VERY jarring in terms of interpreting phoenix's character as well as general timeline-based context, as well as the sudden jump from the more modern setting in the mainline games + aai to the older setting in dgs. this is why i put aai1+2 between aa3 and aa4 and plvpw between soj and dgs1+2. note that if you do jump around, you should go through the games in chunks of the trilogy (aa1-3), aai (1+2), the post-trilogy mainline games (aa4-6), dgs (1+2), and plvpw. mostly because for example it'd be kind of weird to play dgs in the middle of aai1 and aai2, considering thay aai2 happens like a week or two aftee aai1 and dgs happens in the meiji period (victorian era).
•phoenix wright: ace attorney. the first game. pretty standard, the big classic and where most of the memes come from. abbreviated to pwaa or aa1.
•phoenix wright: ace attorney- justice for all. the second game. really good and really bad at the same time (you'll know exactly what i mean if/when you go through it.) abbreviated to aa2 or jfa.
•phoenix wright: ace attorney- trials and tribulations. the third game. gets really fucking complicated but in a super cool way. abbreviated to aa3 or t&t.
•ace attorney investigations: miles edgeworth. the first investigations game, which isn't part of the "main line" of aa games. honestly pretty dull in terms of story relative to the rest of the aa series but GREAT for characters and interactions, plus it introduced some new gameplay styles. abbreviated to aai or aai1*.
•ace attorney investigations: miles edgeworth 2 (unofficially localized subtitle of "prosecutor's path"). still has no no official localization. regarded by a considerable number of fans including myself to be the best game in the aa series. literally so fucking good. please play aai2. abbreviated to aai2 or rarely gk2.
•apollo justice: ace attorney. now we're back to the main line of games. shu takumi originally wanted to introduce a new cast of characters and say goodbye to the old ones besides phoenix, who makes an interesting "new" character. however, after he stopped writing for the games, the other writers basically ignored his wish in later games. anyways, apollo is the protagonist now and he's just a guy with anxiety. also this game gets my personal vote for best soundtrack in the series. abbreviated to aj or aa4.
•phoenix wright: ace attorney- dual destinies. yeah, phoenix is back in the title. woooooah it's in 3d now. they butcher apollo halfway to hell. at least we get athena here, though. i love her. it's easy to see it as kind of a mediocre game because the start and finish were very lacking, but the middle was jam-packed tbh. abbreviated to aa5 or dd.
•phoenix wright: ace attorney- spirit of justice. bringing back and butchering edgeworth in ddvwasn't enough. now they had to do it to maya, too. don't even get me started on the colorism going on in this game. a very polarizing game, some consider it a perfect addition to the series while others (including myself) see it as having some of the poorest storytelling and gameplay in the series. at least the turnabout sisters remaster nearly made me cry though. anyways it's abbreviated to aa6 or soj.
•professor layton vs. phoenix wright: ace attorney. this game is optional but super fun if you're into professor layton as well as ace attorney, or honestly just either one of them. this is a game you should DEFINITELY play for yourself as opposed to watching a let's play because it's a puzzle/adventure game as well as just a visual novel. abbreviated to plvpw:aa, plvpwaa, and plvpw.
•the great ace attorney (recently localized with the subtitle "adventures"). just what one would expect and more, imo. very entertaining while far more grounded than later mainline games (thank goodness). i love most of the characters especially iris she's my daughter i am adopting her now. abbreviated to dgs, dgs1, tgaa, tgaa1, and now probably tgaaa.
•dai gyakuten saiban 2/the great ace attorney 2 (recently localized with the subtitle "resolve"). finally. the official localization is here. it was a meme for so long. anyways, this is also known as one of the best games in the series alongside (if not behind or ahead of) aai2. the hype was totally worth it. abbreviated as dgs2, tgaa2, and now probably tgaar.
NOTES:
•games 1-3 are known as "the trilogy" because. well. they're the original 3 games.
•ace attorney investigations 1-2 are simply just called "investigations" and the series was originally going to focus on ema skye instead of miles edgeworth.
•rise from the ashes is a dlc case which goes along with the first game, also the only officially localized case without "turnabout" in the title. prior to the release of apollo justice, people argued over whether or not it was canon because it contradicted some pieces of the games or was missing certain things. a lot of things were retconned.
•you do NOT have to play dgs last. if you want to get into it earlier, especially considering the hype, i wouldn't even warn against playing it BEFORE the trilogy and other games. playing it right before or after the investigations games is cool too. everything besides the placement of dgs though i would recommend as the play order.
•this probably seems like a LOT of information but it's really easy to understand once you get into it. it does not NOT feel like as long or complex of a series once you play the games and understand the very vague ties between each "section" of the series. in fact, a lot of ace attorney fans have NOT played/watched every single game. some people haven't played dgs, some people haven't played investigations. hell, some people have only gone through the trilogy. just make sure to have fun and not try to rush or force yourself! that'll just make the whole experience unenjoyable. i've known a few people who've started the series and stopped because they decided it just wasn't for them, which is totally fine.
*was referred to as "perfect prosecutor" by fans prior to official localization, as a nod to the alliteration in the original "ace attorney" title, but no one calls it that anymore.
#long post#long text#the tl;dr is if you want to get into it i suggest playing aa1 then aa2 then aa3 then aai1 then aai2 then aa4 then aa5 then aa6#then plvpw then dgs1 then dgs2#ace attorney#so you want to get into the lawyer games#<- new tag since a LOT of people come to me asking about how to get into aa

the CPS man is writing about CPS again
this part has been so boring i've not really had anything to say lmao. this stuff will certainly be important in the future but my goodness i really don't care about the way that maria and ange were both comically abused. it is simply unfun to read. it is interesting however, the way that ange's denial of magic as a teenager was translated back to something she said to the Real Alive maria and we're discussing how that may have impacted what happened in 1986.
in regards to maria's shit, all i have to say is that its insane no one called the child welfare office on rosa sooner, and even more insane for rosa to still have custody after doing all that shit IN FRONT OF THE WELFARE AGENT????? if that never gets covered again it would make more sense because you cant argue rosa's case after having that tantrum in front of another human being. and with a shitload of witnesses to all the other neglect on top of that!! oh my god!
where I'm at now is ange's on the boat to rokkenjima talking to the 7 sisters about how she doesn't believe in magic despite summoning them and its. really funny. yeah i dont believe you exist one fucking bit but someone out there does so why not. i get what its saying about being open minded but this is the most nonsensical argument for open mindedness i may have ever seen.
BATTLER I MISSED YOU SO MUCH I COULD CRY. PLEASE MAKE THINGS FUN AGAIN !!!!!! AND BRING BEATO WITH YOU! OH YES THERE SHE IS, BEATO MY LOVE. KICK HIS ASS!
its SO funny when battler says fuck. i feel like translators never use that one
beato's kinzo strat is...... that HE gave maria the umbrella and note? fucked. fucked. genius.
THE BUILDUP WAS SO LONG. SO FUNNY. *BOOM* here's kinzo :)
alright so last time it was ALL about the epitaph, this time we're saying fuck that don't bother. ok i'm game. this dude really wanted his kids to kill each other their entire lives tho huh. this feels like its leading to him throwing those old guns at them again and saying "go buckwild you animals"
i love that the "is your kid worth 10 billion yen" answer for battler is nah the dude sucks lmao. pog.
"my last wish is for all of my stupid, worthless children to eat shit and die!"
NOW UH. SUMMONING DEMONS ISNT EXACTLY A THING THAT I WOULD SAY KINZO HAS EVER BEEN CAPABLE OFF AND I KIND OF FEEL LIKE BEATO WOULD CORROBORATE THAT.
"gaap? 🤨" hilarious reaction. cant wait to see who or what gaap is-
oh christ alive i take it back. put her away.
a thought has occurred that you could make a great tabletop game out of this. im sure people already have, it'd be insane if they didn't. it would be like, a level 100 GM kind of thing to do because there's so much to account for but to do a cyclical murder-mystery where the GM is essentially beato sounds like a great time.
i've also pieced together that rokkenjima slipping farther into the spirit world exists both as a tool to make the story wild and wacky and bring in more characters, but also to distract from the actual matter at hand. like i've pieced it together properly probably because it's being addressed directly and i typically need something to be brought up before i go like "oh yeah THAT'S what it's about" and then I piece it together immediately before i advance the dialogue and am confirmed on it. but if it were the exact same scenario every time it would be easy to solve, so we have different courses of events. then to keep you from engaging too much, the extra wacky characters and magic AKA "noise" are introduced. this iteration of the story feels instantly like it's going to be super cut and dry because kinzo's here ordering the shots and will probably live to the end along with the kids. you could argue at the first twilight, the servants were all ordered to kill 6 people and it got botched which is why genji died, and later when the servants die, they could have been ordered to kill themselves. beato will, obviously, say that isn't the case when it shows up, if it shows up. since i get the feeling things are gonna be pretty hidden and there won't be so much of a mystery going on as much as kinzo's test for the kids. if the test IS the mystery, then... we'll see !
theyre going to be whipping their dicks out battler. get ready for it
AND she's bisexual! well! love loses in my mind but im sure someone wants her.
episode 4 post, starting with my current theory
ep1 ep2 ep3
lambda so kindly revealed to us and reminded beato that she gave beato her power, beato is not a real witch. interesting, given that beato claims to be a thousand years old but we'll ignore that for now. lambda insists that beato has to keep battler in this game for as long as possible or else, because she wants to keep bern trapped for as long as possible, so we've got a new goal post popping in yet again. beato not only wants to defeat battler and make him admit she's a witch, but now she has to wear him down more slowly too and there's even more pressure on the fact that he must not ever win.
this is further complicated by ange coming in with the intent to solve the case and save the family on rokkenjima as fast as possible and not fuck around. its funny timing considering the last game was the first one where battler was actually playing in a way where he could bring himself to blame family members and therefore... actually get somewhere with it. feels a little mean to him to come around the instant he's got his shit together and be like "you suck at this. move out of the way" but he took it well and honestly, he's not in any rush like she is
because in conflict with all of this is the fact that beato and battler are absolutely both losing the plot. they've both become way more invested in the other person's emotions and wellbeing in a very visible way. battler came to her rescue despite being mad at her and beato cheerfully burst into the room to try and lift the mood when she was lied to that battler was in a bad way. (chefs kiss to that btw)
so this is all the observation, what's the theory? there is a chance that... since beato is still pushing hard for battler to affirm she's a witch, that doing that may somehow give her real power. at this point I'm pretty squarely on the magic is real side, bern and lambda are pretty firmly and obviously real witches with actual power. bern declaring ange a witch (especially after ange apparently trained herself as one) and bringing her over has all but completely confirmed that for me. however, the argument that we've been having isn't really "is magic real"... it's "is beatrice a witch", and given that her powers apparently aren't her own, it seems that she's actually not. the ritual exists as a way to give beato real powers... potentially. this may not even be true, but she does get stronger each time it's successful so there could be something to that.
my additional source for this theory is the red truth that we couldn't hear used against evatrice. perhaps she wasn't saying that witches and magic weren't real for any reason, but that evatrice's powers weren't real or her own. "you couldn't do any of that magic stuff because you don't actually have powers, I did all of that" or something. after all, in the end of their fight before battler showed up, the servants were all saying that beato was the true golden witch in a pretty confusing matter. the only thing that makes it hard for me to believe beato was so deep into it that every single thing was an act is the fact that we've been shown very clearly that she can't lie well. even if she didn't say so herself (which she has), the magnificent facial expression swapping she does makes it particularly blatant. that makes it hard to say exactly how much of the last arc was trickery vs how much she was genuinely struggling. my view of it is that she did in fact hand over her borrowed powers, not expecting it to break quite so bad, and when she got through to the end on pure dumb luck, she flipped the script to make it look like she didn't just barely scrape through.
in short... this is lambda's game. we're just playing it
now for my next question: does virgilia actually exist or what
