for silly edits usually just picsart, but procreate for the more intense ones. gifs i use a yt downloader site, then capcut to edit, then ezgif. videos either splice or capcut. glitters i made a tutorial here, but like, my method is really complicated since i’m always on my phone, so there’s probably an easier way if you have a pc…

probably! be specific with what you want— send me pictures or direct links if you can. requests are always open, just keep in mind i may not do every single one i get, and if i do, it may take a while. Channellings: OPEN (tentatively)

Offering (tentatively!!!) practice channellings. I need to start practicing for one day being an official Priest, and I also haven't had an opportunity yet to become a proficient channeller. i would like some practice. Thanks.

Overview:

This is best for people who work with him under any names I use for him/syncretise with him, or people otherwise around his energy whether that's through working with his family, you considering working with him, or so on. There's no limit to who can ask however.

Questions and answers is the general theme like with divination, but things don't have to be worded in a single sentence let alone with a question mark at the end. A clear intent (question, summary of your issue, etc) helps me (autistic) understand what to ask him though

Feel free to address any of his names (Leviathan, Poseidon, etc) I talk about on my blog, or leave out a name if you want me to just address the whole/whichever face answers

The channelling should be a few paragraphs minimum, and preferably maximum too. I want to start small. I do struggle with keeping things short though, so bare with me.

I will get to them when I get to them, hopefully within a few days but maybe more given how busy I am in my own spiritual life

Please remember these are practice channellings, I am new to doing this for others and it’s a different skill set to doing them solo. Quality is going to vary.

The channellings themselves:

I will speak to him through visions and/or mindwalking (will explain terms below) and talking, supplemented if needed with divination. You may get all words, you may get all visions/mindwalking, but probably it’ll be a mix skewed towards primarily visions/mindwalking

Visions: Umbrella term for visual language spoken through telepathy. This will mean probably both of us are speaking to each other in visions as it usually goes.

Mindwalking: An umbrella term for travelling through the Mental, with an emphasis on going on journeys through feeding information into the Mental so it can create on-the-fly 3-dimensional visions with multiple sensory data types. In this case, it’s effectively 3D interactive visions that can be entered, spaces that appear to be real and allow us both to meet and discuss things while also communicating through the environment. Example of mindwalking here, optional reading.

My job as a channeller tends to be acting as an eye for your brain, so the focus won’t be on explaining everything. I will try and clarify where I feel drawn to doing so, and I will absolutely discuss the channelling with you after you’ve read it though, giving opinions and unspoken clarifications if requested

Question/prompt content:

I don’t really care what you ask/put forth, but please consider if this is the right space for it. Lev cannot answer anything even if he wanted to, and even some things he'll gladly answer are things he shouldn't have a strong say in

You may not get the answer you want. Especially the case if you ask about topics generally not accepted by diviners such as other people’s internal thoughts about you, medical questions, or whatnot, where you may just get him telling you in encoded language to… not do that.

Speaking of, please keep in mind Lev tends towards being very honest with his feelings about things, not sugarcoating them as much as other gods. I have a general rule with him that if it’s through my body, he should orient brutal honesty towards softer advice if he wants to speak it through me, but channelling does require asking him his opinion.

As always with these things, I’m going to reserve the right to just not answer certain questions even if it’s not laid out here. I am beginning, I don’t know everything I’m OK and not OK with yet. Refusing to answer (a) question(s) of yours doesn’t mean you can’t come back though.

Ah! I've never been really asked something like that before, but I'm happy to give you some of my best advice. I'm a little scatterbrained with COVID atm, so if you need any clarification or have follow-up questions, please feel free to reach out.

Writing is a skill that's best honed through practice! And, truly, the best practice is to read. Start by reading authors whose work you admire. Why do you admire them? Is it the way they structure sentences, or tie together the plot, or handle character interactions? Dig into that! How do they do that? Don't just 'read', take notes. I am constantly highlighting and writing in the margins of books I love, especially when I see an excellent use of an author 'showing' and not 'telling' emotion; I struggle with that a lot!

And read and take notes on authors you wouldn't normally pick! Expanding your horizons is the best way to learn new things about yourself and new tools to pack your author's toolkit. I detest sci-fi, personally, but I do try to make an effort to read something in the genre now and then (maybe I'll like it this time! Or, maybe I'll just learn something new about how an author can build worlds)!

In a more technical sense, the best way to strengthen your writing is editing. This website has a lot of useful and practical PDFs explaining how to effectively proofread your work and strengthen your writing. This PDF of writing exercises may seem juvenile, but I refer back to it because it truly is the basics that can set you up for success. In my opinion and experience, proper grammar and sentence structure are the basic building blocks to get your writing to really take off.

"But how do I make it sound eloquent? And pretty? How do I make it sound the way it appears in my mind?" Practice! Your first draft is probably gonna suck. But every draft ever will get better and better! For my fanfics, I usually go through about three or four drafts before I let my beta readers take a look at it. And after they look I draft again! So usually five drafts before anything goes up on Ao3. (For Tumblr, I usually just throw up my second pass after my basic grammar has been fixed).

The more you practice, the more you will find yourself growing into your own voice, and that's something that can't be easily replicated. The way everyone tells a story is unique! And, personally, I would love if you would send me your durge fic once you've posted it! I would even be happy to take a look at it if you'd like some fresh eyes after a few rounds in the drafts--I'm full of free time, with COVID and all.

Hullo. Welcome.

I've been thinking of doing a pinned post for a while now but never got the chance to (read: I thought about it, procrastinated, and then forgot), so... yeah. It must be weird for my long-time followers to suddenly see a "Hey there! Welcome to my little corner of the internet!" post but, here we are. A couple years late, too. Anyway.

I'm Kitty. I go by she/they. I'm a fanfiction author. All my works are posted on my ao3. I also have a writing sideblog/archive at @kittyswritingcorner.

This blog is for me to share my writing, interests, and/or other hobbies. Feel free to drop an ask or slide in my messages if you fancy a little chat -- I don't bite. :)

My current fandom focus is the MCU, mainly anything about Stephen Strange, but I tend to shift through different fandoms like BBC Sherlock and the lot. I'll do you a favour and not list them all here because, well, in that case, it'll be practically endless.

I used to post incorrect quotes, but not so much nowadays. If at all. Ah, also, fair warning: I generally do not tag any of my reblogs and could go on reblog sprees from time to time, or be inactive for days on end. There is no in-between.

This is my own space and I have the right to express myself and my opinions freely here, although I will rarely engage in anything with heavy discourse/debate and the sort. But I am always open to them if anyone's interested. Just don't ask for trouble.

Despite the messiness of my blog, I do, in fact, use some tags for my own posts. Surprise, surprise.

If you're wondering whether I'm open to prompts or not, currently I am back to receiving prompts. This will update from time to time.

Here are a couple of things I'd like to emphasise for those interested:

I am not a fast writer. I will not respond to your prompt immediately. It could take me weeks, months, and maybe even longer to get to you.

I would prefer if you'd leave some space in the prompt for creative liberties and not put in too much detail. (You might as well write it your own if you want it in a very specific way.)

Don't pressure me into doing your prompt. Please keep in mind that I can and will send it back/refuse to write it if the prompt you send isn't doable to me for one reason or another.

I can be sensitive to some topics like alcoholism, physical/domestic abuse, etc. but it is negotiable so long as it isn't heavy on the topic. Just send me a DM to discuss.

It comes without saying, but underage and sexual abuse is a definite no.

Physical de-aging is OK, but I won't do ageplay or age regression -- whether it's sexual or not.

Yes, I am open to writing NSFW but please, for the love of god and all that is holy, do not send me anything about mpreg or genderbending. Or anything too... weird, for that matter.

In case a clarification is needed: yes, hurt/no comfort or even MCD fics are definitely OK. Yes, yes, yes, 100%.

Yes, I ship. My ships include IronStrange, Frostrange, Wongrange, Strordo, Johnlock, and am open to other ships if you wish so. Again it is negotiable and I am flexible regarding this.

Genfics are 100% OK, too.

If I happen to reblog/participate in an event with a prompt set, I am usually alright with receiving requests about them.

My preferences

I'm not exactly that picky of a person, but I do have preferences when it comes to reading and/or writing. And I would greatly appreciate if you'd take them into consideration, as I want to enjoy doing requests as much as you do when reading it.

I tend to prefer Hurt!Stephen or Whumpee!Stephen in h/c or whump scenarios, but I am not opposed to writing him being a caretaker. In the Sherlock fandom I prefer Hurt!Sherlock but, again, totally open to otherwise.

I love a lot of various tropes and things but am practically obsessed with whump and hurt/comfort. Angst is another one I absolutely love. I write fluff as well, but it usually requires a certain mood, so fluffy prompts might be replied to later than whumpy/angsty ones.

Most of my works are IronStrange but I love Wongrange just as much, if not more. Other ships are, again, totally alright. Although I am not very fond of these ships in particular: SpideyStrange, ScarletStrange, and x reader.

Other things

Be reminded that I am an amateur author and a human, so, despite me not being averse to 'constructive criticism', it'd be appreciated if you would kindly hold your opinions to yourself instead of sending hate asks/comments -- unless you can say them without being rude. Both explicitly and non-explicitly. I am not confident with my writing (as I should be, haha), and doing so will just discourage me further.

I post from a lot of fandoms. This is not an IronStrange-exclusive blog. Filter tags if and when necessary.

Minors are allowed to follow as I do not post anything too explicit; at least without tagging them. They would be tagged #tw suggestive or #tw explicit. I do however advise you to beware as I can be... a little bit... unhinged, sometimes.

Ygerne (Igraine) deserved better and here’s why

First a little background - I’ve been reading Robert de Boron’s version of Merlin. Or sort of, because he originally wrote the narrative in verse, but I’m reading it in the prose because a lot of the verse was lost.

Short timeline: Geoffroy of Monmouth’s Historia Regium Britanniae gets reworked into Wace’s Roman de Brut, which greatly influences Robert de Boron’s Roman de Graal cycle (Joseph, Merlin, Perceval), which then gets turned into the Vulgate-Grail cycle. Chretien de Troyes’ work comes a little earlier than this and is actually mentioned briefly in Merlin. All this to say that there is a very strong connection of French literature with the Arthurian legend (think Norman conquest etc).

Anyway, now on to the actual story. To set the scene: Uter (Uther) has just become Uterpandragon on the death of his brother Pandragon (we can talk about naming conventions at another time) and has also just become king. Merlin had created the Round Table under Pandragon’s rule, but now it’s a tradition to gather at Pentecost at the Table for celebration. Ygerne (Igraine) is the wife of the Duke of Tintagel (not named here, but often identified as Gorlois in other works).

She lives a tragedy. Not necessarily in the Greek sense, as she does nothing wrong. In fact the fatal flaw is really on Uter for falling in love so deeply that he (in my opinion) loses his sense of reason. Here’s my explanation how Ygerne is a victim of her time, situation, and Merlin. (Content warning: creepy behavior and nonconsensual relationships)

She’s established to be beautiful, well-born, and incredibly loyal (”estoit molt preudefeme et molt bele, et molt loiaus vers son segnor”). That loyalty is incredibly important.

She catches the king’s eye and he falls in love immediately pretty much. He sends her jewels - this is the first trap. She cannot refuse them. (”Et ele n’osa refuser les joiaus.”)

Uter tells her she has his heart and she does the only thing she can do - pretends not to hear. (”et ele ne fist onques samblant que ele l’entendist”)

Uter talks to Ulfin, who rebukes him for wanting to sleep with a women - essentially telling Uter to back off on the lust/wanting to die from love.

This doesn’t stop anything, though since Ulfin agrees to talk to Ygerne and brings her even more jewels. Ygerne refuses - “s’en desfendoit, et n’en voloit nus prendre.”

She asks him why he’s done this - he lies initially and says it’s because she’s beautiful but eventually reveals that it’s not actually him that’s giving the jewels, but the king. Ulfin tells her that she has the king’s heart. At this, Ygerne crosses herself and says ‘God, what a traitor the king is, who has pretended to love the duke so’. Essentially, the king has been showing her husband with attention so he can see her. (”Deus, com est li rois traitre, qui fait samblant del duc amer”).

She threatens - rightly - to tell her husband about this. She states that her husband will kill the king for this. (”je le diroie mon segnor. Et se il le savoit, il vos en convenroit morir.”) This makes sense - obviously she’s doing her best to stay loyal to her husband, in a very fraught situation.

Ulfin says have some mercy on the king and also remember that you can’t go against the king’s wishes, to which Ygerne makes her only possible response - she will never be in the same place as the king ever again. (“Et Igerne respont en plorant: ‘Se ferai, se Diu plaist, que je ne serai jamais en liu u il me puisse veïr.’”)

Uter still won’t back off. Here’s the second trap - at dinner, he sends her a beautiful golden cup filled with wine with the request that she drink from it for the love of him. She cannot refuse his request in public and has to drink from it. She feels shame, but drinks and wants to send it back, but is told that she is to keep it. (“Quant la dame l’entent, si en ot molt grant honte et rogi, et prist le cope, et i but, et le volt renvoier arriere.”)

After this episode, Ygerne tells Ulfin that she knows that the cup was a trick by the king and says that she’s going to tell her husband. Ulfin tries to talk her out of it, as the king once again pretends to show favor to the duke in order to be near her. She knows this.

At night, when she and her husband return to their lodgings, she begins to cry. Her husband tries to comfort her and asks what the issue is. She explains and says that she would like to be dead. Her husband has his men saddle up and get ready to leave. They go back home, though the king is alerted.

The king then brings political machinations into this by claiming that the duke has offended him (technically true as he wasn’t granted leave, but at the same time, he has good reason for it.) Uter is told to send a messenger requiring them back at court, which he does.

The duke of Tintagel receives this message and is like ‘bruh’. What he actually says is that he’s never going to return to the king’s court because of what Uter did to his wife. (“’Car il m’a tant fait, et a moi et as miens, que je ne le doi croire ne amer’”). The duke also sends out a message asking for support should the king bring a war to him.

The king, predictably, does. [I’m going to skip ahead a bit here, but just know that the king beseiges Tintagel and feels super in love with Ygerne. There’s also some standard Merlin trickery.]

Merlin has shown up and Uter asks for help. Merlin says this might be difficult since she’s smart and loyal towards her husband and God. (“car ele est molt sage dame, et molt loiaus vers Dieu et vers son segnor.”)

But, this is Merlin. He’s got a plan. The plan is that he’ll give Uter the form of the duke so that she’ll confuse the disguised Uter with her actual husband. Yeah.

The plan goes down - Uter gets into the castle and sleeps with Ygerne, who thinks he’s her husband. This is absolutely horrible. Like, I’m sure you can see that, but hoo boy, this particular narrative makes me so angry on her behalf. Like, no woman is treated well by Arthurian narratives, but Ygerne did nothing wrong. Oh my god.

But it doesn’t end there! Because in the morning after Uter flees, Ygerne learns that she’s pregnant and that her husband is actually dead. She’s a smart woman, so she realizes that she doesn’t actually know who she slept with that night.

So now Ygerne is in charge of her husband’s cause. And it gets worse. Uter sends her a messengers who is supposed to tell her that she can’t fight against him - consider the deeper meaning here. (“Et li dites que ele ne se puet desfendre vers moi”).

They have to negotiate the end of the conflict, which includes a price for her husband’s death. Which means she has to negotiate WITH UTER. WHO DID THAT TO HER. She has so little power in this situation - she demands all she really can, which is a recompense for her husband’s death but she is so trapped. [Skipping over more negotiations]

Uter forces her hand and gets her in marriage - to quote the text more directly - ‘thus had the king Ygerne’. Again, double meaning. Not sure if that double meaning is there in the Old French, but it may well be. (“Tot ensi ot li rois Ygerne.”)

IT GETS WORSE THOUGH. She’s clearly pregnant, and who knows who the father is (Uter does). KNOWING THAT HE IS THE FATHER OF HER CHILD, Uter confronts her about her pregnancy and FORCES HER TO ADMIT SHE DOESN’T KNOW THE FATHER, which forces her to relive the uncertainty around that situation and makes her fear for her ‘relationship’ with Uter as well. I could talk about the situation with Merlin’s mother, but this is already so long.

Uter then tells her that he won’t tell anyone if she won’t breathe a word and also gives her child away immediately after birth. She does so - essentially giving Artus (Arthur) to Merlin who then passes him on to his foster father.

Once she’s given birth to Artus, Ygerne pretty much disappears from the narrative.

To summarize that behemoth of a text:

The king falls madly in love with Ygerne, a married woman, who understands the conventions of the time - she can’t really go against the king’s wishes, but she can avoid him. She tries her best to avoid his attentions, but he goes too far and she tells her husband, who ends up going to war with the king over the insult. Uter’s forces kill her husband, but before she learns of this, Merlin gives Uter a disguise so that he can sleep with her. They then negotiate the end of the conflict, which ends with Uter taking her as his wife. He then pretends to be ignorant of the circumstances of her pregnancy and makes her give away their child.

SYPNOSIS (of series). breaking up with your first love was heartbreaking, but not as heartbreaking as getting invited to his wedding after years of not seeing him. that is, until things seem to be easier when you encounter a certain guest, who could end up being more than just a blooming friend to you.

It was at this night when Diluc realizes you’re one unpredictable person. 

When he suggested to go and explore more around Mondstadt after the reception party, he never thought you’d ask if he’s going to go with you. Of course, he accepted seeing how he has no other things to do tonight, much to your delight. 

Hence how you find yourselves walking out of the hotel together, the bouquet that somehow managed to land on you is now in the hands of Zhongli, who’s willing to bring it up in the room as he bids you farewell and a safe trip. 

To his relief, the both of you agreed to come explore around a certain area of the city that’s quiet. The last thing he needs is people being curious and spreading news of why the wine tycoon’s with a “mysterious stranger” who’s just a friend to him.

The whole time throughout the stroll, the two of you were chatting about what you’d want for your weddings thanks to how you’re supposedly the next person to get married because of the bouquet of flowers(1). 

Diluc honestly never thought he’d ever have a comfortable conversation with someone about what they want with weddings until now – if anything, your conversations with him brought him the simplest things he didn’t even know about himself. 

“If you’d have to choose your cake for your wedding, what flavor would it have?” You ask. 

“...Anything, I suppose. It all depends on what makes my spouse satisfied, really.” He answers. “But if they’d ask what I want if they can’t decide, I suppose chocolate flavored doesn’t sound bad.” 

Before you could enter your own opinion about your question, you perk up at the sound of someone playing a violin somewhere near the area around you. People can still street perform at this hour? (2)

“It seems there are still street performers at night.” Diluc commented, looking around to look for the source of the music. “Would you like to see one?” 

Your eyes brighten. “I don’t see why not.” 

The both of you then look for the performer, relying on the sound to find your destination. It wasn’t really difficult nor did it take you long, it was only a few minutes of walking and turning directions while you grin in excitement when you two finally found the person behind the music. There were a few people around him –  his audience – who all happily listened to the beautiful sounds of the violin playing. 

You and Diluc decided to stand idly by and watch from a spot that’s near where everyone is, it’s enough to be far from those watching but near enough to see the performer and hear the music more. The performer is effortlessly playing the violin that’s in sync with the speaker behind him that’s playing out the piano. 

You can’t help but sway left and right a little, something that did not go unnoticed by your companion, who can’t help but watch in adoration and amusement. 

He immediately looks away from your direction as soon as you turn your head to the side to look at him. “Do you play any instrument?” You asked suddenly, your tone hushed but curious. 

Diluc glances at your way before looking back at the performer, trying to act natural. “...Yes. I play the violin as well.” 

You felt taken back by surprise. “Really? Do you play on a daily basis?” 

He shakes his head. “I don’t use it as a hobby, I just know how to play it because of the lessons I took when I was a kid.”

“Would you play it if someone requests you to?” You ask. 

“Depends on who it is.” He responds, crossing his arms. 

“What if it’s me?” 

“That’s debatable.” 

“Is that a yes or no?”

“What do you think?”  

“...Yes?” 

Diluc can’t help but chuckle at that. “...I’ll think about it.”

You cheered. “That’s the spirit.” 

After a few minutes, the performance finally ends. You and Diluc decide to come up to the performer and place a few mora on the violin case that seems to be piled up with other mora given by the audience, who are giving him an applause.

“Thank you Mx. and Mister. May the wind lead you.” The performer spoke up gratefully, not recognizing Diluc much to your relief. 

You and Diluc nodded in acknowledgement. “Likewise. Your performance is beautiful, Mister.” You replied happily before walking away with your companion. 

In just a few moments, another song starts playing, this time it’s more of a romantic one as the performer glances at where you and Diluc left off.

“Ah, that was a nice performance, isn’t it?” You comment happily, continuing your stroll around the quiet streets. 

“It is.” Diluc hums, hiding his small smile from the amusing image of you swaying while watching the performance.

“Where should we go next?” You wondered, looking around your surroundings in hopes of finding something that catches your eye. “Do you have any place to go in mind?” 

The man thinks about it for a moment. “We could visit the Market District. They sell foods and items that I think you’d like.” He suggests. 

You didn’t give it any thought, agreeing to his suggestion straight away. “Let’s go there then! I think a cute souvenir to bring home sounds nice.” 

“Let’s go then.” 

And so you’re off to your next destination. 

Unlike how you found the street performer, it took you and Diluc quite a while to get to the Market District until you arrived at last after a couple of turns. When you arrive, you’re met with the sight of the area that’s filled with shops, food booths and people walking around, who didn’t notice the fact that Diluc Ragnvindr himself is among them.

The aroma of foods being cooked and served instantly hits your nose, and you could almost feel your mouth watering at the thought of getting your hands on those delicious snacks. 

“Shall we?” Diluc spoke up, causing you to look at him. 

“We shall!” You replied enthusiastically before dragging your companion towards the bustling streets.

The both of you look at each shop and food booths you pass by, not noticing how close you two are due to the crowd around you. 

You then stop when you see the sight of keychains displayed that have flowers, birds, wine bottles, and everything that represents Mondstadt as designs. Bingo! 

“Do you want to get one?” Diluc suddenly asks, pointing at the booth that sells the said keychains. 

You nodded in response. “Yes. I can use that for my bag.” 

“Let’s go then before it closes.” 

As you and Diluc walk towards the booth, the person selling the items quickly notices you both and waves at you. “Ah, welcome, welcome, Mx. and Mister! You made a good choice coming here to buy my products! Which one catches your eye?” She chirped. 

You look at each keychain that’s displayed in front of you until you notice a keychain that resembles Mondstadt’s beautiful Anemo symbol.

You pointed at the keychain. “I’d like to buy that one please.” 

The woman looks at where you’re pointing, letting out an “ah” before grabbing it. “Good choice, Mx! We hope you show the symbol of this land off with pride and happiness.”

“I certainly will.” 

“And how about you, Mister? Would you like to purchase a keychain as well?”

Diluc shakes his head in response. “No need, I’m just here to keep them company.” 

The woman nodded, walking towards her cashier as she brought out a paper bag. “You can just give me your payment and you’re good to go. That will be 1000 mora please.”

You then give her your payment as the woman hands you off the package that has the keychain inside, bidding you goodbye the moment you and Diluc walk away.

Throughout the walk, you and Diluc saw a lot of things and tried out almost everything. Be it the sunglasses booth whereas you try to find a good sunglasses that matches Diluc – only to find yourself making him put on a huge star glasses that made you laugh so much from how he looked so serious, the perfume booth where you tried out some perfumes with your companion, and mostly food booths where you ate snacks that originated from Mondstadt, Inazuma, and some other regions. 

The one that’s memorable for you is certainly when you and Diluc encountered a photo booth, causing you to persuade your friend into taking pictures together to have at least something that has a reminder of this night. To your delight, he accepted it. 

You two then proceeded to enter the booth, settling on your seats and preparing for the camera to shoot you. 

“Alright, ready?” You ask as Diluc fixes his clothing.

“Yes.” He responds. 

“Okay, I’ll press the button then!” Without another pause, you instantly pressed the button at the bottom of the screen that shows you and Diluc, causing a 10 second countdown to begin. “Since the photos are only five, we could do two casual pictures and three poses?” 

“Sounds alright to me.” 

After a few minutes, you walked out from the photobooth with Diluc, excited to see the pictures that’ll come out from the booth. When you did, you were satisfied with it. 

In all honesty, it was you who did most of the poses and facial expressions. Diluc was either having a blank face, a confused look on his face, and hilariously: a thumbs-up as a response to your hand that’s making a half heart, and a half-heart as a response to your hand that’s making a peace sign, something that made you laugh endlessly the moment the pictures were processed outside. 

He’ll admit, it was funny to see the last two pictures, but what made him almost laugh was how infectious your laughter is. Anyone who’d look at your direction would be able to notice how his shoulders are shaking due to him holding his laughter.

As soon as your laughter dies, the two of you then go to the last stop, which is a food stall that’s selling the infamous chicken-mushroom skewers, causing you to tap Diluc’s arm and gesture him to the food stall eagerly the moment you see the booth. 

The red-haired man looks at where you’re pointing at and agrees to go there, causing you to drag him to the stall much to his surprise.

“Welcome, Mx. and Mister! What would you two like for this fine evening?” The vendor greeted you with a smile. 

“Two chicken-mushroom skewers, please.” Diluc responds, a bit breathless from you rushing towards the food booth while dragging him.

As your orders are being cooked, you two wait beside the booth and continue your conversation. 

“Are you having fun?” He asks. 

You nodded happily. “Yeah, I enjoy our time here. It was a good idea for us to come and stroll around the city after the reception, thanks for keeping me company.” 

“It’s no problem. I’m happy I was able to take you around Mondstadt.” He responds, his lips twitching upwards. “If you’d like, I could take you to the Plaza Park that’s somewhere near the Market District. Not a lot of people visit there at this hour as far as I know.”

“I’d be delighted! We can go there once we get the skewers if that’s alright with you.” 

“Of course.” 

As if on cue, the vendor is finished with your orders at last, handing it out to you both. 

“If I may, I can’t help but want to comment about how you two are one wonderful couple! You certainly remind me of my youthful days with my dear wife.” The vendor explains honestly with a laugh, causing you and Diluc to feel flustered. 

“O-Oh you got it all wrong, Mister! We’re not a couple.” You clarified with an embarrassed laugh. 

The vendor stops laughing, looking shocked. “Oh, my bad! I apologize – I assumed you were together that way..” He said in embarrassment. 

“It’s alright, here’s your payment for the food, Mister.” Diluc said, giving the mora to the vendor.

“Oh you didn’t have to pay for my food too, Diluc! I could always pay on my own.” You spoke. 

“I insist. It’s on me.” Diluc reassures you. “Shall we go then?” 

Reluctantly, you agreed, causing the two of you to start walking towards the nearest street that can lead you to the park. “Alright, if you insist.” 

As soon as you and Diluc are out of the vendor’s sight, the vendor can’t help but sigh. “What a shame, they look like they’d be a wonderful couple.” He commented to himself.

The two of you spend the entire journey towards the park eating your chicken-mushroom skewers, making sure to stick together to not get lost from the crowd. It doesn't take long before you’re finally out of the place and see the park that’s not too far away from where you and Diluc exited from.

When you arrive at the park, you’re already finished with your snack. 

“Ah, I’m so full.” You comment, throwing the stick to the trash bin that’s beside the entrance with Diluc following. “What’s the park like?” 

“It’s quiet and peaceful. Usually I’d come to visit whenever I encountered it. They have a good view of the stars above.” Diluc answers, causing you to look up at the sky when he mentions the stars, only to be in awe at the lovely sight of the night sky above you two. 

“The stars are beautiful tonight.” You spoke. “Usually I only look at it when I want to stargaze or wish for something.” 

“Oh? What kind of wish is it?” 

You smile sheepishly. “It’s kind of embarrassing and super cheesy…” You comment shyly. 

“Try me.” Diluc said, now curious. 

Hesitantly, you gave in. “Fine, I usually just wish for my dreams to come true.” 

“Don’t worry about it being embarrassing and cheesy, everyone does that.” He reassures you. 

You raise an eyebrow with a teasing smile. “Even you?” 

He clears his throat, turning away. “...I suppose.” 

“What do you dream about then?” 

Diluc thinks about it for a while before he answers, “I dream of.. feeling home again.” 

Your eyes widen a bit. You expected his dream to be somewhat related to his business – or even love – but not this. “What do you mean by that?” You ask.

“...The place I live in is anything but home.” He answers honestly. “I’m only living there because it’s one of the only things I have left that belongs to my father. It just feels… wrong for me to leave it.”  

You frowned. “Won’t your father want you to leave it?” 

“I’m not sure.” He responds with an unsure tone, looking up at the sky. “There’s a lot of things I’m not sure about my father anymore, but… maybe there’ll come a day when I decide to leave it. For now, I’m content with what I have.” 

Diluc then looks at you. “What about you? What do you dream about?” 

You think about it as well, then the memory of your conversation with Chisato’s father as well as what you found out about Ayato’s suffering from that cruel man flashes in your head, causing you to frown a bit. “I guess… I dream of the world to shine true.” 

The man raises his eyebrows upward in surprise. “What does that mean?” 

“I dream that someday, the world can be a place where evil can’t go unpunished as dawn comes and goes.” You explain, letting out a longing sigh as you look at the stars. “Isn't it sad that there are evil people who are getting away with what they’ve done?” 

Something flashes in Diluc’s eyes. “Of course..” 

You then smile, looking back at him. “Enough about that, shall we find a spot and stargaze?” 

Without a thought, he agrees willingly. “Of course.”

It took you and Diluc to find a good spot to look at the sky for only a few minutes, when you did, Diluc was kind enough to put his tuxedo jacket on the grass for you to lie down on. 

For the next hour, you spent your last destination looking at the stars, pointing out all the constellations you see all the while you talk to him more about your dreams and his, your laughter and his chuckles fills the silence of the park. 

“Ooo I see the Noctua constellation!” You point out, staring in awe at the constellation that has the shape of an owl as you lie next to each other. 

“Which one’s your favorite?” Diluc asks. 

“I’m not sure, all the ones I know of are definitely beautiful. What about you?” 

He points at where you’re pointing at. “The Noctua constellation. It reminds me of my pet bird.” 

“You have a pet bird–?!” 

“( Name )? Is that you?” 

Your conversation with Diluc is stopped abruptly when you hear a familiar voice, one who you never thought you’d see in a place such as Mondstadt, causing you to sit up and look around to find the source of the voice. 

Your eyes brighten at the sight of a familiar man. 

“Heizou!?” You exclaim, quickly standing up from the ground. “Is that you?!” 

If there’s one person you can count on when it comes to police-related matters, Heizou is your guy. The two of you go way back before high school and have always teased you whenever he has the chance, but you’d be lying if you said you didn’t like his company back when you were kids. He’s also incredibly smart, so it’s no surprise he ended up being a detective in the infamous Inazuma Police Force. 

The young man laughs in shock when he learns it’s you, immediately walking towards you. “Well consider me impressed, I never thought you’d be in Mondstadt! weren’t you working in Liyue?” He asks, wrapping his arms around you happily, causing you to laugh in response and hug him back. 

“Of course I am! I’m just taking a vacation here.” You explained, not noticing how Diluc stands up as well from the ground and watches you two with a complicated look on his face. 

“What about you? What brings you to Mondstadt?” You ask. 

“Ah well, let’s say it’s work related.” He said, scratching his head. “But enough about me, may I say how absolutely breathtaking you look? Wait, are you on a date?!” 

Suddenly, Heizou looks at where Diluc is. “Hey Mister, you better be treating ( Name ) good–”

You immediately stop the young man from talking any further by covering his mouth with your hands, flustered by his quick assumptions. What’s up with people mistaking you and Diluc as a couple?! “Oh my gosh, Heizou no! My friend Diluc and I are just spending time tonight after a reception party. We were exploring all around the street and was just stargazing.” You clarified, letting go of his hand.

“Diluc? Why does that sound familiar?” Heizou asks before looking down at his watch. “I’m sure it doesn’t matter, but I should be going now before I’m late. It’s a pleasure meeting you, Mr. Diluc, and it’s a pleasure seeing you, ( Name )!” 

“Aw, it’s a pleasure seeing you too, Heizou.” You said, giving him one last hug before seeing him off. “I’ll text you when I get back!” 

“You better! We should get out and eat sometime!”

“Only if you pay!”  

As you watch Heizou walk away until he’s out of your vision, you immediately look at where Diluc is, who’s still standing there with a blank expression on his face. 

“You alright?” You ask, coming towards your companion. “Sorry, I hope you weren’t bothered by what my cousin said.”

“...Cousin?” Diluc raises an eyebrow from that word. “Wait, he’s your cousin?” 

“...Yeah?” You raise an eyebrow as well, confused with what your friend is trying to imply. “What did you think we were?” 

He clears his throat in response, a bit embarrassed. “I thought he’s an old friend of yours, that’s why I was surprised. He’s a nice guy, I suppose.” 

“He is.” You agreed with a happy hum. “He’s a great detective. I haven’t seen him ever since I left Inazuma.” 

Your face slowly fell. “I guess… the same goes with you when I come back to Liyue. I’m not sure when I’ll ever get back here anyway.. I won’t be able to see nor talk to you at all.” You spoke, shoulders slump when you realize you won’t be seeing Diluc next week. 

The same goes with your friend, who is a bit taken back when he realizes that fact too. 

You then look down at your phone for the time and see 00:00, causing you to look at Diluc with an awkward smile. “I should come back now to the hotel, it’s already midnight and I’m sure Zhongli’s going to worry that I’m out for long.” You said, keeping your phone away. 

“I’ll come with you.” He said, getting his tuxedo jacket from the ground and shaking the grass off.

“Oh no need, I don’t want to–”

“You do know I’m still staying in the Goth Grand Hotel… right?” 

“...Oh right…” You said, feeling your cheeks warming up in embarrassment. “I-I thought you were invited to serve the drinks?” 

“Not exactly.” He responds. “I’m invited as a guest due to how the Kamisato family often collaborates with Angel’s Share in the business world, so you could say Mr. Kamisato and I are acquaintances.” 

“Didn’t you say something about being invited to the wedding and reception because they liked your drinks?” You ask, recalling the time when you manage to encounter him in Angel’s Share. (3)

“I… I didn’t mean it when I said that.” He said, a little embarrassed. “I was too focused on making drinks to uh… realize what I said until it’s too late.” 

The both of you remained silent, now embarrassed and awkward from the conversation you had.

Diluc clears his throat. “..We should get going.”

“Definitely.”

By the time you arrived at your doors, the two of you were reluctant to go to your respective rooms, still having a lot more to say to each other despite spending time for literally hours together. 

“...I guess this is it.” You spoke up. “We can always chat tomorrow when we can, won’t we?” 

Diluc nodded in response. “Of course… As long as we’re free.” 

You then look at your door, but before you could reach out your hotel card to the door knob, the man behind you speaks up.

“Or… We could always message each other.” He suggests, causing you to stop yourself from unlocking your room. 

You immediately turned around. “Are you serious?” You ask with brightened eyes. “You’re really willing to give me your number?” 

“I trust that you won’t share such information with anyone, won’t you?” He said, bringing out his phone from his pocket. 

You nodded in response, bringing out your phone as well. “Your secret’s safe with me. Here’s my phone number.” 

The both of you then proceeded to exchange each other’s phone numbers willingly before bidding each other goodbye. 

“It was nice spending time with you, Diluc. I had fun the whole night.” You said, unlocking your hotel room. “See you tomorrow.” 

“Likewise, ( Name ).” Diluc responded. “Have a good night.” 

“You too!” 

As soon as you enter your room and close the door behind you, you immediately rush towards Zhongli, who’s surprisingly still awake at this hour. 

“Zhongli, Zhongli! Guess what happened with Diluc!”

Meanwhile, as soon as Diluc enters his own room and closes his door, he immediately heads towards his bed and sits on it, covering his face with his hands with a loud sigh.

He has to admit, he hadn’t had so much fun until tonight. There was never a time when he thought about going back to the hotel nor did he think about other things besides the ones you’re talking about. 

And before he knew it, his thoughts slowly drifted to you. 

He remembers the time when you swayed from left to right slowly as the performer plays with the violin and later on starts playing a romantic song as soon as the both of you had left, the time when you and him were almost touching from how crowded the Market District was which led him to be in a daze from how flustered he was, the time when you were laughing so hard at what he did in the photo booth that made him feel starstrucked at the sound that makes him want to hear it again and again, the time when he looks at you as you point out all the constellations you see at the sky as if the both of you are lying down on the softest bed you’re sharing, the time when he gained the courage to ask for your number, 

And the time when he felt jealous because of Heizou, who turned out to be just your cousin. 

Get it together, Diluc. He thought to himself strictly. You don’t deserve this. It won’t happen at all, you have no right.

Suddenly, he hears his phone vibrating in his pocket, causing him to put his hands away from his face and pulls out his phone to look at the message sent, his eyes brightening when he realizes it’s your number and quickly opens his phone. 

His lips twitched upward when he reads your message, his fingers start typing out a response and press the send button.

Diluc doesn’t know why, but he starts feeling nervous the moment he sends his message, waiting for you to reply as well. Does his message sound too cold? Did he use emoticons right? 

A minute later, you responded.

He sighs in relief that you didn’t point out anything about his message, but he feels a bit disappointed that the conversation ended so shortly. He responds to your last message with a simple one. 

With that, he turns off his phone and puts it aside, letting out yet another sigh.

If he’s nervous about how he responds to your messages, he can’t imagine how he’ll feel later when he wakes up.

in this au, one of the things that makes mondstadt different from the rest of the regions is the fact that street performers can perform all night as long as they're far from apartments and houses, unlike the rest of the regions.

this was actually an oopsie of mine and forgot the fact that he was personally invited by ayato and chisato when i wrote the angel’s share scene so sorry for that ( >_< ) !!!

obv it’d be rude to invite someone to your wedding and make them work, so chisato and ayato wouldn’t dare to do that. it was diluc himself who offered to serve drinks to other guests since he isn’t much a fan to waste time doing something such as eating and watching people play games and dance instead of doing work, so the wedding couple — tho a bit reluctantly — accepted it.

I am just really curious about something like genuinely.

First of all i personally really really enjoy jikook's, or minkookie now, bond they make me smile until i get teary eyed but i am one that is still on the verge of believing they are a romantic couple. So please explain this to me from your perspective.

Now in todays vlive where JM was giving us the tmi about JK i felt or comprehended that this would not have been said in that manner if they where a couple especially a long term couple. Why would it be something "funny" or weird for my partner to come sit and do nothing in my room, why would JK need to have the urge to defend this exposure with "JM room is the closest" why would TH be surprised to find JK in JM's room (even though i understand that TH wanted to go to JM room specifically) it should be a normal occurrence. Personally i dont think these kind of situations show us that jikook are a romantic couple it just proves that they are EXTREMELY CLOSE and that they do have a natural gravitation towards each other. Its just feels like too much of "tmi" to be tmi of a couple. If you get what i mean

About the neck bite/hickey in my opinion this too much effort to be "let down" for a "platonic pair"😜 but what make me doubt(especially after seeing a bunch of other picks of both of them with unexplained marks on theirs necks that look exactly like the one JK has) again is the telling of the story. This is something supposedly intimate or can lead to intimate acts why share it as a funny story or why even share with an apology. I was going to wait for the fully property translated Vlives, I really was. But my impatience got the better of me (I bet they will come out minutes after I post this🤐).

So here are my thoughts on the matter:

I will start by reminding that this is not the first time we hear about JK spending his time in JM's room. This has been going on for years, JM has been telling this to us for years, pretty much the rest of the members have been too. So, this TMI is not really new news TMI. This is pretty old news TMI.

So telling us JK is in the room morning, noon and night is not really something new, and it's definitely not new for any of the members, including Tae. He himself told us in his 2019 Vlive at 1 am that JM & JK were 'hanging out together'. He was also around every single time JM told us or 'complained' that JK was in his room all the time, sleeping in his bed, asking why he kept coming to his room.

So, nothing new here really.

So, why tell us this? Why tell us JK comes to JM's room for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Why tell us JK comes to JM's room, which is right next to his, because he's bored and spends hours in JM's room doing nothing, layingon his bed?

I will say this one more time but with feeling:  JM & JK are a gay closeted couple!!!  And the emphasis is on closeted, hence hiding the gay relationship!!! 

They are a living breathing paradox.  Because on the one hand they really want us to know they are together.  It’s kind of a natural thing.  Not wanting to hide your meaningful long term relationship.  Not to have to live in the shadows, especially when that person you are with is someone you are with all the god damn time, on and off camera (the on camera is also many many hours of the day, and when it’s off camera, well there are staff members around almost all the time).  But then, on the other hand they kind of have to hide it.  It’s the industry they are part of, it’s the society they are part of.  They just cannot come out and say “we are a gay couple in a meaningful long term relationship”.  ‘Coming out’, saying that, well it would have repercussions on their careers (not only theirs, but their bandmates too), on their personal safety and their families too. 

So, they work withing that realm of wanting to show but really can’t show the whole story – or what I like calling: The realm of deniability.  And they push the boundaries of that realm further and further all the time (I have written many posts about this).

Rooms were booked for both separately.  There is no other way around it as long as this relationship is a hidden one.  Even if they were sharing a room, which by what JM told us is practically that – spending morning day and night together.  Eating together, going out together – we saw that, working out together, just spending time together (JK just laying on JM’s bed).  Yeah, I’d say that’s their way to tell us they are spending the days together in so many words, within the realm of deniability, wouldn’t you?  Could they be just good mates?  Well, that’s the whole point, isn’t it?  Telling us they spend all this time together but without telling us they are TOGETHER.

This need for closeness, this need to be within each other’s orbit, even if it’s to lay on the other person’s bed, not doing anything, not interacting, just laying there, physically being next to them just doing nothing, that’s actually a mark of a couple.  Needing the proximity but finding that calm even without actual words or interaction.

We’ve seen this over the years with JK.  JM sleeping, and JK just finding a place by his side to either just sit there, close to him, or lay by his side.  There is a need for proximity.  This is beyond a good friend or bro  thing.

Tae himself told us about going to JM’s room, JK there, and him wondering if it was actually JM’s room.  Tae knew it was JM’s room.  There was a point being made here:

 

Tae ‘thinking’ it was JK’s room (not really) – if he comes to JM’s room and thinks that, what does it mean with hotel staff that come to the room????

Hence, explaining how someone who would see them together might get the ‘wrong’ idea…

 

It’s not that they share a room, no, that’s not it.  It’s just that JK really really really really really really likes JM’s room (cough it’s JM he likes, not the room, cough) very very very very very very much, and that’s why he’s there morning day and night.

 And if you don't get it, then the reference here is Tae's Paris Vlive...

So, you ask if they are not a couple?   If this conversation proves they are just good mates?  Nope, not for me.  Only thing it proves is that they felt the need to explain, once again with feeling, why JK is in JM’s room like ALL THE TIME, and the feeling I got was that the explanation wasn’t really for us, or perhaps kind of a pre-emptive strike to something we are unaware of as of yet (if at all).

 

So obviously we are going back into the realms of deniability here. I mean, look at your own ask, it's there already. How, if they are in a long term relationship, is this something they talk about, something Tae is surprised by.

But you see, Tae isn't surprised. This is a pattern of behaviour that has been happening since forever, one that Tae was aware of for many many years.

Now, they are in LA, they order room service, they have hotel staff coming in and out of their rooms, and JK is constantly in JM's assigned room. This is not their own staff, staff that is probably not acquainted with them, and for the better part probably don't know the stories about JK finding his way to JM's room. JK constantly being in JM's room, like all of the time, morning noon and night, well that would be a juicy piece of information to share outside. Perhaps that's something they find the need to explain, again with the deniability. The staff probably do have to sign some kind of NDA, but it's not SK and temptation to spill the beans (financially) might be a more attractive option. So, bringing it up now, well there you have your explanation, no beans spilled, because they were placed neatly on the plate for all of us to see, and that's that.

So, nothing big here.

What I did take from that was that there definitely is no intention or plan to 'come out' any time soon.

And you know what one of my other big takes from the live was?

Tae calling JK to come do the live with him only for JM to show up, almost blurting out that JK’s washing up so he came…

As for your question about the hickey.  It was a conscious decision to bring it up and tell it the way they did.  On the one hand it’s obviously a hickey and whichever way you tell the story, it’s way beyond suspicious.  This isn’t within the boundaries of a platonic friendship.  It just isn’t.  And yet they decided to share it with us.  But they have to do it and still allow for some kind of question marks to remain, so they told the story the way they did, with an ‘apology’ (no apology was needed, did you see how JK was touching it with a smile on his face, while talking about it?).  As for the other’s reactions, what did you want them to do? Imagine this:  your two bandmates, whom you know to be a gay couple in a long term relationship, come to work one day, hickey visible, not covered up by makeup, on camera tell you the story of how said hickey happened.  How would you react?   There is actually nothing suspicious what so ever in the way they reacted there.

If you are still having doubts, which is a natural thing, as nothing is 100% proven unless they tell us so, do go back, check out the content, check out all those moments that made us believe they are the real deal, those moments we detected that physical attraction and moving beyond attraction, those moment we detected the emotional connection, one that is beyond a good friend connection.  Go look at all those, and only then, when you remember all of that, make your decision.

(TW) I don't know if you've answered thus BUT in ep 4 (i think) Laito us clearly harassing Yui and humiliating her in the church. He does the same in the game. But does he r@pe her or just sucks her blood? Cuz it wasn't clear and the scene itself was so confusing

OOH OH!!!! OK!! I’ve been meaning to talk about this for a LOOOONG time LOL! Because it is very confusing going over it for the first time! I’ll break down the scene that it was based off of in the game (HDB Dark 09) and episode 4 in the anime.

Buckle up fellas! I’ll give y’all a brain blast.

For some tangential and/or extra reading, here’s my entire HDB analysis and an analysis I’ve done on episode 4 before. Definitely not required to read this one though!

GAME VERSION:

So in Dark 09, we start out with Yui being at the church. She’s reminiscing all the warm memories she had at the church, so she came to pray. However, Laito comes in, teases her that she expected a “knight in shining armor” (although this isn’t important, it’s just funny in an awful way), and asked her if she came to “pray.” However, he says プレイ (purei) not 祈る (inoru- “to pray”). The katakana spelling of “pray” can also be translated to “play” (or even prey) in English. So the double (or even triple, depending on the context) meaning is very interesting. He knows Yui came to pray, but he is considering this time with her to be more of a “playtime.” He uses this same double meaning in his song, “Bloody Sabbath.”

Laito furthers a guardian angel motif by comparing them to his familiars he has watching over Yui. This is how Yui finds out that he has familiars watching her every move. He continues to harass Yui in the same Laito fashion, with rhetoric similar to the one in episode 4.

Laito: Exactly. I don’t think I need to remind you, but on days like this…It aches so badly… Yui: …! Laito: Even the Church is a place I would rather avoid if it wasn’t for these special conditions.But today I am especially greedy. I want you. I want to pin you down and drink your blood to my heart’s content.

Here’s just some snippets of Laito’s harassment upon Yui. In my HDB analysis, I mention this:

On top of him continuing to gaslight Yui, this scene takes place in a church. It’s incredibly symbolic to the shame Yui feels before and especially after she is forced to endure Laito’s games. The church is a home for her, and for Laito to take that away from her by making her ashamed of practicing her religion anymore is soul crushing. 

Not exactly related to whether or not Laito rapes Yui in this scene, but I do love this scene so much because of how symbolic it is. So let me compare it to the church scene in the anime.

ANIME VERSION:

This scene is a lot shorter than it is in the game. Laito says a lot of the similar things in Dark 09 like “wanting to expose Yui” and how much he wants to drink her blood, and how he’s getting excited by her facial expressions, etc etc etc. I think most of us know this scene well. It is also revealed in this scene that Yui’s being watched by familiars, but on top of that, we learn how Yui was given to the brothers by the church. This doesn’t happen in the game, but I felt like I needed to put it in anyways.

BOTH SCENES AND CONCLUSION:

Both scenes still have the blood sucking motifs and actions. We all know how blood sucking is still a sexual activity. So regardless of Laito raping Yui, this is still assault, and most definitely sexual harassment and assault given his words that he wants to expose Yui and give her love––which we know is a sexual kind, whether through sex or blood sucking. It’s still making Yui vulnerable in a nonconsensual manner. She’s still going through sexual trauma regardless. Even if they weren’t vampires, this would still be sexual assault.

So in Dark 09, we know that he does not rape Yui. Why? Well, the first time he rapes her is in Maniac 07. We know this because of this exchange and rhetoric that I also mention in my HDB analysis:

Laito: Fufufu…Oh well, it’s okay. Seems like it’s almost the right time. I’ve gotten worked up as well. I’ll do even more pleasurable things to you, okay? Yui: Let me go…already… Laito: Fu…Come on, the starting shot has been fired. (5)

And in Maniac 08, Laito and Yui have this exchange:

Laito: More importantly, hey? How was that thing from the other day? Does it still hurt? Yui: …! Laito: So it really does after all~ Nfu~ Ah…Rather than ‘hurting’, the term ‘aching’ might be more accurate. Did it feel better than usual? Yui: …!

Laito: Well, you’d be in trouble if such a small thing already left you in shock.

So we know something different happened than usual. By the wording of Laito treating it as such a “small thing,” it can be implied that this is when he first raped her, considering he’s used to being sexually abused in that manner with Cordelia. Obviously, it is not a small thing, but he’s trying to write it off as one. It’s kind of like saying “oh you didn’t know *insert fact here?* I thought that was common knowledge!” kind of teasing or just general statements.

So from Dark 09, we know that Yui did not get raped in the church. For episode 4? It is harder to tell on that scene alone because a lot of it is meant for interpretation, so I believe you could go either way with that scene. Analysis can’t do much for that scene, unless if you were to argue two ways. In the start of episode 5, Yui’s just remembering what Laito said about how she’s a sacrifice. She does not act like how she acts in Maniac 08. However, that’s just my opinion and regardless, the anime is not as good as the visual novel when it comes to showing and not telling, and it is a pretty short runtime. So they had to cut a lot of it out. But once again, I think you could interpret it either way in the anime.

If you were to base it solely off of the source material, then no, she did not get raped in episode 4.

The Internet Basically Attacking Joshua Basset

NOTE: I’m not calling out a specific fandom. I am completely aware that some carpenters also sent hate to this man, and that’s not okay. This is merely a short compilation of the horrible things the internet has done to him because of the DL drama. It is also fair to note that I am not actually a fan of Joshua Basset- but I do have a friend who’s a fan so I mostly got my context from him. 

Some of the pictures are mine, and some of the pictures are from other users (CTTO). I personally don’t have that much pictures because again, I’m not a fan- but I can attest to some of the death threats (also, am thankful for everyone who saw my compilation of Sabrina Carpenter’s death threats and sent me some of JB’s). I tried finding more but most of them are privated slash deleted but of course, this does not dismiss the fact that the internet sent death threats to Joshua Basset on mental health awareness month (and the last eight months) because of a fucking song. 

I am not blurring any username out because again, you posted on a public domain where your opinion is completely unprompted whatsoever, take responsibility. 

TW: invalidation of sexuality slash homophobic remarks (im not sure whether to label it as biphobia, panphobia, or queerphobia TBH because he never labelled himself but many of these basically dismisses the other letters in the community and straight up labels him gay when he never explicitly mentioned anything) (no, you can’t just make a homophobic remark and hide it in the guise of a joke, im not sure who needs to hear this but homophobia is not funny), bomb/death threats, slurs (censored), SA allegations

CONTEXT: Joshua Basset came out. He never explicitly mentioned slash placed a label on what he identifies as but it’s clear that he likes both men and women. (He said a few days later I think that he was still trying to navigate his way through all of it).

CONTEXT: There was a rise of sexual allegations against Joshua Basset. I personally don’t know how the case is going, all I heard is there are several allegations against him (my friend told me that Lie Lie Lie was written in 2020 about a friend who spread said allegations about JB), but I saved this from a thread that I unfortunately can no longer find :( that said, I have no idea about these and feel free to add more context! Thanks!

CONTEXT: Olivia had that white house thing and everyone made it about Joshua LMAO (Joshua had already been out by this time. Remember that he never said he was gay).

CONTEXT: Joshua complimented Skin, says he can’t get it out of his head. 

CONTEXT: Joshua Basset was hospitalized. There were many disgusting private QTs to this where they wished he d*** or somewhere along the line and I unfortunately can’t look into it (frankly im too lazy and ive already seen a lot of disgusting things). The ones below though are very viewable QTs/replies to an article about his hospitalization :)

CONTEXT: More on Joshua Basset’s coming out and the fact that everyone made it about the drama or the girls basically invalidating his coming out altogether (some were accusing him of queerbaiting)- seriously wondering where was Twitter’s performative activism when this one took place lmao

BOTTOMLINE- This is disgusting and this doesn’t even cover everything but the internet owes Joshua Basset a HUGE apology. I can’t even fathom how much hate this guy gets in his DMs. My friend (who’s a JB fan) told me that the hate where basically everywhere when SOUR came out because the entire internet apparently had nothing better to do than spin a few lines out of proportion to fit a damning narrative in order to act as hero when really, none of the hate this man gets is justified. Literally please get a hobby and stop hating on a twenty year old? Oh my god, my friend told me I would find more in IG but I don’t even want to get in there lol stay safe and don’t spread hate to anyone!
